Double-barred Finch (Taeniopygia bichenovii)
Also known as Bicheno's Finch or the Owl Finch, the Double-barred Finch is a species of Estrildid finch that is endemic to northern and eastern Australia. Double-barred finch typically inhabit dry savanna, grasslands and shrublands. Like other finch double-barred finches are gregarious and forage mainly on seeds, but will feed on grasses and insects as well.
