Sherlock Holmes believes the Ninja Turtles are "testudinidae carolina", but there is no species actually named that.
"Testudinidae" is a family of Turtles also known as tortoises.
"Carolina" probably comes from Terrapene Carolina, also known as Common box turtle.
He probably meant Terrapene.
