The Bugatti Veyron may be 17 years old as of 2022, but it’s still one of the fastest cars in the world. When it was introduced, the Veyron cracked a staggering 267 mph. The Super Sport model bumped that figure to an even more impressive 285 mph. Bugatti followed that up with the even faster Chiron Super Sport, which is a worthy successor to its Veyron nameplate.
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport

Despite its incredible acceleration, the Chiron has some serious competition on its hands from the likes of the Koenigsegg Agera RS and the McLaren Speedtail. Fortunately, Bugatti isn’t taking its foot off the gas, as it continues to refine its Chiron to reach even higher speeds.
Although it doesn’t have the outright power of the Agera RS or the Hennessey Venom GT, the Chiron is the best-balanced car on this list in terms of straight-line speed and handling. However, the most important factor in a top-speed race is the ability to maintain a consistent, straight-line speed. That’s where the Chiron really shines, as it can sustain its insane velocity for long stretches.
