I finally watched Simon and the Oaks (I friggin love WW2-era movies...) and oh man. It was slow, but in a really beautiful way. It felt way longer than two hours but I was okay with that.
When I was little I made a half-assed tree house/platform in an oak tree at my Nana's house and loved taking books up there to read, so the first little bit felt kind of nostalgic. We actually just talked about this movie last week and she mentioned she wanted to watch it too. I wonder if she's read the book...
And oh man who decided to give Skarsgård those dark brown eyes... Because I am all about that. Yes. Please.
Anyway, it was kind of emotionally taxing so now I have to find something upbeat to watch/do.

For the actor thing, let's go full Kristina: Helen Sjöholm, Peter Jöback och Anders Ekborg
Yessss thank you LET’S GO FULL KRISTINA
Now first things first: the number one for this amazing trio is obviously Kristina från Duvemåla which is one of my favourite pieces of art, even if I sadly haven’t seen it. I kinda feel like my life changed for the better after Kristina, it brough so much good. And speaking of Kristina, I lowkey envy you for getting it in Starlene’s uquiz.      Now for the rest: Helen Sjöholm   II. Så som i himmelen If I remember right I saw this right in the middle of my KFD-euphoria, and I know I bawled my eyes out during Gabriellas sång and the scene leading up to it. Also I couldn’t stand to see Per Morberg for weeks after watching it.
III. Bäckström I would like to write Anastasia but I haven’t actually seen it yet!? I haven’t seen Simon och ekarna either. I should do that too. And Chess.
Peter Jöback II. Aladdin I mean. He. Is. Aladdin. What an amazing work. III. The phantom of the opera (or rather Fantomen på operan) I do remember barely being able to follow what was going on in it at times, but I really enjoyed his performance. Anders Ekborg In joint second place: Ingvar! – en musikalisk möbelsaga and Så som i himmelen (the musical), I love them both, and I really like him in them. He has got a bigger role in Ingvar, but in Så som i himmelen he gets to show off his ability to really grab your heart and soul with his singing.
Send me an actor/actress and I’ll tell you my top 3 projects they did

MUDEI A URL!
(Curiosidade: o pai do Bill, Stelan Skarsgård, outro lindão talentoso, conheceu a Kate e o William durante a visita oficial do casal à Suécia em 2018)
I CHANGED MY URL: “KATE AND THE OAKS”
Why oaks? Oak trees and acorns are the predominant motifs of the Middletons’ coat of arms, granted right before the Royal Wedding in 2011. As stated on the College of Arms’ website: “Acorns were chosen because the area in which the [Middleton] children were brought up - West Berkshire, England - is well wooded with oak trees. Additionally, oak is a long-established symbol of both England and strength.” Kate has made references to oak trees and acorns through her jewellery on various ocasions.
Why “Kate and the Oaks”? I took the inspiration from the title of the movie “Simon and the Oaks” (“Simon och Ekarna”) - with the incredibly handsome and talented Bill Skarsgård. (Fun fact: Bill’s father, Stellan Skarsgård - a very handsome and talented actor himself -, met Kate and Will when they toured Sweden in 2018)
