At the gallery I’m working at, we have this awesome artist: Shoichi Tsurukawa. He uses a traditional Japanese dyeing technique called Tsutsu Gaki to make his contemporary works. As he explains, his works depict the sadness and regrets that come from crushed dreams. He works on cloth and sometimes add some wadding, adding some more dimension to his pieces. You can check more of his work on the gallery website: kinoshokikaku.jp or just asks me.
