I stay with what I said yesterday. Zephyr did not get the ending he deserved. At the very least, they should have let him hold his sons hand and tell him he loved him. He deserved that much. And that he couldn't do it, made his death maybe more frustrating for Law, but surely not any "better" in the players eyes.

I agree with him here. I get that she meant well, but saying "focus on the positive" and saying that the positive thing is that they beat the lord isn't exactly the sensible thing to say here, when Alphen is mourning Zephyrs death. If she had at least said: "We helped his beloved son to get revenge" or something that would put some more meaning to the Lords death, it might have been acceptable, but with what and how she said it, she seems really... cold.

She... just slapt him. Imagine how much more that would have hurt if he could feel her thorns ^^'

Sure. Fighting was certainly easier with more people in my team. Plus... with those two constantly bickering idiots, it will be nice to... you know... have someone friendly and normal around too XD

That looks much better! Me likes.

Look how fast we gained a team of four. We will be unstoppable now XD Seriously, the fighting is a lot harder than one would thin, seeing that I am one the easiest difficulty. But even with my WeMod-Cheats I had some healing to do lately... and my characters all fight on auto and thus are better at dodging and stuff. I am glad I do not have to fight by myself AND without cheats ^^'

This is getting really annyoing. Its like he can't help but only see bad things in what she is saying, even if she says something that doesn't sound she meant anything bad with it. At first these two bickering was kind of amusing. But at this point, all the misunderstandings between them are just annoying and I wish we could finally come to the point were they start to understand each other.

Well... I guess she finally starts to be more honest with him. Its a start.

These 3 seems to be getting along just fine. But Shionne is still such a problem...

The boys decided to... well train harder because Law want to become stronger than Alpen and Alphen is not having it and the girls find all that very ridiculous. But it is fairly amusing to watch XD

XD Okay, that really was funny. I love how the dynamic of this team has changed now that Law is with us. He has a nice chemistry with Rinwell and builds up a brotherly bond with Alphen. The only one still stuck up is Shionne. I hope it gets better soon too.

So... does a nice Lord mean no fighting? O.o Will it truly be that easy?

Not exactly a name I like... but its not her fault so I'll be nice to her for now XD

That was really stupid of her... She attacked the Lord from behind without any warning and without much reason other than whatever her actual reason is to see all the Lord dead. In any case, he was faster and better than her and now Alphen takes the brunt of her punishment. It seemed a weird reaction tho. She is usually the voice of reason among the team, what was she thinking?

Seriously. You are not one to talk about carelessness Shionne, not after what you just did and how stupidly rash it was.

Hui... he is really agitated about that. "You could have been hurt!" it was almost adorable for someone who keeps arguing with her all the time.

Thanks for telling her that. Because otherwise that would probably just have lead to another stupid misunderstanding otherwise.

What the hell? This guy attacked him even after he told him to stop, he had no choice but to defend himself. That wasn't his fault at all!

Law really rules. For a moment I thought he was possessed or something. Or was weird because of possible poison in the floor or something. But I guess he just noticed Kisara following us.

He has the same voice as black Alberich... its slightly distracting XD

So its like in FF16? When they use up all their spiritual energy or whatever they call it... they... turn to stone or metal or something like this?

Okay. Time for a break.

Tales of Arise Fanfiction, The Livestream AU, Chapter II: Lights! Camera! D/R TV!

[Preface]

(Daeq Fazol, our beloved adventurers are with the same female scientist mentioned previously and in the elevator going to the 'newest floor' they deemed necessary so they could showcase their 'talents'. Lightly speaking.)

[...]

*the door automatically opens, and a wash of light fades*

All of the adventurers are just in absolute astonishment as to what they are looking at. The very room they mentioned seemed much more quantifiably massive in scale than they implied. Gargantuan setpieces and show floors were everywhere, you saw various people in headsets, running around with costumes, and entire hangers full of clothes being ran across the backs of the studio floors.

Giant professional vanities of set lights beamed across vast stages of varying sizes and shapes. Huge cameras dawned with massive oval refractive lenses filled each corner of certain areas of each of the respective rooms. Stage crew, technical members, coordinators, investors, and more, were all frantically helping one another out, giving each other paperwork, talking to one another, drawing out plans.

"Can we test Set 4's backdrop lights in...3...2...1! Good! Good! Beam them down more! Get a better angle from here!" a technical set member assures another light operator.

"Can you bring these clothes to Set 7? We will need some better materials and fabrics as well." a coordinator said to some background crew members.

"W-Where are we!?" Law, of course, being the first one to say something in total shock.

"I don't know if you all understood what I was implying at first glance, but uhm...we really need to start universal entertainment. To finally fulfill and unite all the regions, between both Dahnans and Renans. I know that's been the goal of all of you the entire time." the female scientist said. "We have had this in the works for awhile, we have all the necessary, tools, equipment, and manpower we need, we just needed our stars!" she said and basically just straight up pointed at the entire group.

Surprisingly, besides Law, all of the others actually genuinely seemed excited.

"I have never ever been in front of a camera before in my life..." as she grips Alphen's hand even tighter than usual, their fingers tightly interweaved, nervous, "...but I am really excited about this actually!" Shionne says smiling at Alphen.

"We'll make this work together!" as he holds her hand too, and they both directly look at each other.

"Law! Hey Law!" Rinwell says prodding Law to get his attention.

"Ohh- uh...hi Rinwell! Sorry, I have just been so overwhelmed by all of this! But this is definitely the best way to do this! I never imagined us being THIS popular." Law says admittingly.

"Now, before any of these things go into motion, we actually don't have any bright ideas. I am sorry to say." the female scientist suddenly says.

"Wait, you invited us to this? But have nothing planned!?!" Dohalim shouts in a shocked, yet disappointed manner.

"Hold on Dohalim...if you really think about it, she must be putting that power in our hands." Kisara says with a forgiving tone.

"Well, he does readily expect stuff to always be handled for him." Shionne says on the side holding out her hand. "I mean, we know what we are good at, right? We should all sit down and talk about it, I think this will be fun!" Shionne finishes excitedly trying to look for somewhere to plan.

Rinwell was in love with Shionne's genuine excitement, usually she would only be thrilled for food, jewels, or fashion. Knowing how involved everyone is, and with the resources provided, her giddiness was genuinely enlightening.

"Shionne! I love your enthusiasm! Come on, everyone! Let's go find a table and start planning ideas!" Rinwell said as she ran with Shionne across the studio back areas and wanted to find a table.

[...]

There was a large glowing white glass table, Alphen sat on the corner next to Shionne, who was next to Rinwell. On the opposite end, Law was on the other side of Rinwell, next to Kisara, and Dohalim.

"So let's think about what we're all good at doing..." Shionne mentioned at the front, a bit nervous to get a conversation going.

"Hmm...well if we are some sort of universal bridging point for the masses of Renans and Dahnans...shouldn't we have some sort of informational channel?" Dohalim suggested right off the bat.

"Wow! I actually think that's a great idea, Dohalim!" Kisara reaffirms.

"So, this is like a TV network?" Rinwell questions. "I just think of the broadcast Dohalim did on Lenegis, it has to be similar to a broadcast like that I guess? Right?" she continues.

"Something between Dahnans...and Renans, united as one." Alphen says as he looks directly at Shionne, because they, together, are the clear-cut example of this.

Shionne's eyes begin to glow with inspiration as Alphen just looks at her so lovingly, without even realizing it. Her beautiful blue eyes glistening as Alphen admires her every living moment possible.

"What about Dahnan/Renan TV? Like Dahnans and Renans included together, just as one?" Shionne says, and writes on the table with what seems like a whiteboard marker.

"I was just thinking the same, I mean it is a unity of the nation." Alphen says as he points to what Shionne put on the table.

"Shionne and Alphen did not exactly witness this as the planets merged. There was this beautiful eclipse of the planets coming together with a stream of astral energy. That could be used for something..." Dohalim adds to the idea.

Shionne begins sketching something on the table, which what looks to be two planets next to each other. A flower behind it. And a line striking through both of them.

"Wow, Shionne, you are much more talented than I thought!" Alphen says after she finished the rough sketch.

"Oh, it's nothing. Whenever you look at me, I just feel like I can do anything." as she puts the marker on the table and everyone can see the finished logo. Then smiles at Alphen again.

"Oh! D/R TV! This sounds so cool! Yeah! I love this!" Law says looking at the logo very enthusiastically, flexing his muscles.

"Well, since our star pairing did make the idea, I think they should host it!" Rinwell says and smiles at both Alphen and Shionne.

"I absolutely think this was meant to be? Don't you, Alphen?" Shionne says and cutely questions Alphen and puts her hand on his hand on the table.

"Of course! We'll do it!" Alphen says confidently, as Shionne smiles beside him.

"I think everyone should get something to be involved with though, because I know we are all definitely talented enough for this. So let's continue thinking..." Shionne reaffirms as she puts checkmarks near the logo she made, and writes 'D/R TV News + Alphen Imeris/Shionne Imeris hosts this' on the table.

"Kisara should showcase her true talent at fishing at the lake you recently got in Elde Menancia." Dohalim says with his arms crossed and smiles, acknowledging Kisara directly.

"Oh! That's a brilliant idea! If we are broadcasting this, I should just open it to the public...for a small fee, just y'know, a bit of Gald compensation for all of us." Kisara adds to the contributed idea.

"Wait...a fee?" Rinwell curiously questions.

"Oh, considering we are putting in so much effort, we should get some back too, I am no ruler, but I agree. Our efforts should not be wasted on our end too, we have to feel rewarded." Alphen answers Rinwell.

"Oh, yeah, you're right! We do so much already, we deserve some too!" Rinwell replies.

Shionne begins to draw a circle with some fish inside, and then draws a small figure representing Kisara. Then adds 'Kisara's Elde Menancia Fishing Pond + hosted by Kisara'.

[...]

"Hmmm..." everyone ponders together.

"Shionne..." Alphen says staring intently at her again.

"I really think you deserve a fashion show of your own. So that the world can finally understand how much of a true beauty you really are." he finally concludes.

Rinwell gets really red, hearing Alphen say such romantic words to Shionne so publicly and easily, but then again, this was no surprise.

"Absolutely. She is the 'Maiden' and definitely deserves such a spotlight. Not even for the historical purpose or context. I am just adding to what Alphen is saying." Dohalim politely adds.

"The Maiden is beautiful in and throughout history is what Dohalim meant to say, just not directly, haha." Kisara translates.

Shionne crosses her arms, and gets a little embarrassed, but at the same time feels confident.

"I love you all so much." she smiles and begins jotting down the idea on the table in another open space.

"Yes! Then you can finally share all your fancy Renan fashion tips with me!" Rinwell says brightly.

Rinwell and Shionne both look at each other, extremely happy, and everyone smiles.

(a little more time passes by...)

On the table, besides the ideas sketched everywhere, a bunch of teacups and snacks are lying about as they are still actively contemplating ideas.

"Nothing like our entire history...huh?" Law was just jokingly saying something into the open. Not really thinking, leaning back in his seat. Staring up at the ceiling dawned by so many production lights and equipment with busy background noise of the entire studio.

"Wait, wait, wait...history? Hold on...Dohalim, why don't we talk about historical artifacts together?" Rinwell said bouncing off of Law's seemingly random thought.

"I awaited this moment! We shall go into historical analyses and draw the masses!" Dohalim adds to the contributed idea, pointing back to Rinwell.

"Do I get any credit for thi-" Law says, kind of sad, his thought was being translated into something so valuable without him knowing.

"Thanks Law!" Rinwell says smiling warmly.

Law gets embarrassed, and willingly accepts it because Rinwell is so happy.

"Haha, you guys are welcome, glad I could be a help somehow." Law smiles back to her and scratches his head.

Shionne tosses the marker across the table to Dohalim, and he writes 'Grand Historical Artifact Showcase + Rinwell/Dohalim hosts this'.

"So...let's see, we have, our daily news report, the fashion show, fishing pond showcase, and now the artifact show...hmm, I feel like Law needs something." Shionne says and taps the marker she is holding on the table and looks at Law, thinking.

"Law, you should just teach everyone how to fight like you!" Alphen says excitedly.

"I'm sure your Dad would appreciate you showing the world how much you learned!" Alphen additionally puts.

Alphen's eyes glisten with passion and enthusiasm.

"I never thought you would be asking me that." Law said with a honest smile, a little challenged admitting it.

"Actually, I'm sure all of us feel the same." as Shionne includes everyone else and holds out her hand.

"You guys...I mean, I kind of just want to do this because you all mean a lot to me too, but yeah, Dad would be proud...let's do it!" Dohalim passes a marker to Law, and he writes 'Law's Zeugle Defense Dojo + Law hosts this' with some cute wolf stencils and pawprints.

[...]

(more time passes, and it seems to be getting a little late, but our adventurers are still quite enthusiastic despite this. Being tasked with something fun, yet creative.)

As a group, they decided to split back up into their usual pairs and explore certain parts of the studio. Since they had ideas, some of them wanted to get a feel for a stage, or being in front of a camera, and so on. So they went.

Shionne was talking to some of the stage crew about some costume ideas, and was looking at some of the costumes they had on some of the hangers. Alphen was also looking.

"Wow, some of these outfits are so pretty, I don't even know what to think, there's so much." Shionne was definitely excited, it was like she was in a fashionista heaven of sorts.

"I have to make sure to find something that has blue, a deep blue..." Alphen always making sure to include the blue, Shionne said from the beginning of them meeting. It means everything to both of them.

"Alphen...here." Shionne taps his shoulder, Alphen turns around, and she pulls out a hanger, with a jet black suit with a deep blue tie attached to it.

"I think I found something for me too!" Shionne adds and smiles. It was this illustrious snow white gown, with a royally-decorated shoulder piece covered in diamonds.

He was so shook, by how beautiful both of these were. Alphen was so happy, that Shionne was equally happy.

"We should save this for when we can actually start doing the show though. Anyway, why don't we try getting in front of the camera together?" Alphen says as he points at a nearby stage with some crew working on the some of the lighting.

Alphen and Shionne walk up to one of the cameramen on one of the massive cameras and asks if it's okay for them to get used to stage. He politely nods and shows them up to the stage. Kisara had informed the female scientist about some of their ideas already, so one of the stages already had some preparations. The D/R TV logo was a shimmering medal logo spinning every couple seconds, the one Shionne designed. Some desks filled this pure white space with some shouldering monitors for when either of the two to refer to news and announcements. Shionne and Alphen walk onto the stage holding hands. Then some of the cameraman began pointing the lenses directly at them.

"Gahh!" Shionne gets flustered and hides behind Alphen as the cameras are pointed towards them, lenses flaring.

"This isn't live right?" Alphen says.

"No! It isn't. But you two are free to get a feel for here! No worries. Since you are two on here, we just wanted to adjust our angles." The cameraman they previously talked to said.

Shionne cutely peers her head from Alphen's shoulders after hearing that and then looks at a monitor.

"Wait, what are all these words flying by on this screen?" Shionne says, and loud enough for some stage crew members to hear.

"That's your livestream audience actually, those are people from the 'outside' world looking 'in' that the scientist had mentioned." a technical crew member says from an overhead speaker on the stage.

"Where are Alphen Imeris/Shionne Imeris 💙💗? We love them so much!" a lot of the messages flash by saying and rapidly fill up a majority of the feed.

"Shionne...they're talking about us." Alphen realizes.

"I'm just so glad to you have by in all of this, this is so cool, but also very overwhelming." as she grabs his hand again, which turns to a loving embrace.

Meanwhile, Rinwell and Law were on another set, where Law was discussing his dojo/combat training show idea to some technical crew members. One of the technical set members mentions to both of them that they can use Renan 'transferral' technology to teleport Zeugles in, if needed for certain showcases.

"Oh! You can do that! That's so cool!" Law remembers as Shionne and Kisara can do that with their weaponry

"Why don't we give it a try, hah, we've been through so many Zeugles, this will be nothing!" Law over confidently says, as usual.

"I think, I'll just play it safe, and watch from off set actually, haha." Rinwell says as she runs off the set nearby the others who regathered.

"Oh, interesting, so it's uses similar transferral technology to what Shionne and Kisara already use? Fascinating. It's not surprising given how much they are providing here." Dohalim remarks.

"Yeah, I feel like we can do anything here, with what they have given us, it's like genuine magic." Shionne agrees.

Everyone sees Law talking to a technical crew member and shown a machine that can spawn Zeugles based on a certain astral energy specific gauge. According to what the others overheard, it's based on a letter-grade (from F to S as highest and most dangerous).

Unknowingly, nobody realizes Law pulls the lever to maximum and spawns a massive, super-powered Zeugle to no one's surprise.

"YOU GUYSSSSS I NEED YOUR HELP, WAIT!" as everyone hears Law screaming in absolute terror in the distance as a massive Zeugle chases him across the massive open stage, almost emulating a cartoon. All the adventurers to the back part of the stage just begin laughing so much. Luckily, with the flip of a switch, a technical stage member just rephased the Zeugle back out of existence.

[...]

[The next day]

All the adventurers gathered back at the table, now all the stages were dressed up so differently. Also, besides this, occasionally, some of the adventurers would even be handed some paperwork and mock design ideas for some of the things they had planned. Things were really going into motion, and all of them were equally excited.

You could see, mock art pieces of set designs for all the certain shows, graphics for commercials, costume designs for each person and all laid across the table. The table had been cleaned since then, and has now been filled with paperwork and contracts.

Shionne went out of her own way, and cooked something for everybody.

"Ah, I forgot how much I loved your gnocchi, Shionne, this is delightful." Kisara remarks after she had eaten some.

"Shionne! Shionne! You, Kisara, and I should do a cooking show together at your new home! I think that would be really cute!" Rinwell says beaming.

"Kisara did give me all the confidence and knowledge I have now, we girls should definitely do something together." Shionne smiles back.

Shionne decides to make note of this cute, wholesome idea, and takes one of the many pencils on the table and writes it on the one of the open spaces of some concept work.

"Rinwell, you need something too!" Shionne replies back.

"Wait, but what? I already have the artifact showcase with Dohalim though?" Rinwell insists.

"No, something specially for you! You are immensely talented in your astral artes, I think that can be put to use too!" Shionne says confidently holding her hand out.

"You're right! I should! I did promise before to bridge Dahnans and Renans with that knowledge! That should be our last thing!" Rinwell concludes happily.

[...]

(a couple more hours back, more towards night)

All the adventurers, stand gathered together, with Shionne holding one piece of paper with all of their ideas saying the following:

The Culinary Court (w/ Shionne/Rinwell/Kisara)

Elementary Astral Artes (w/ Rinwell)

With each show, they could all point to each set accordingly and were super excited and happy. All that was left, was to practice for a couple of days and then get the show on the road!
