I think some people don't realize that Helluva and Hazbin are capable of good writing, that they are capable of amazing animation, good songs, and ideas. They HAVE that stuff, they've done it before, and continue to do it, not as often as before, but there are diamonds in the rough. It's the execution and vast changes in direction that fall flat, that are not good because the direction is lost, interactions become contradictory, the story doesn't seem as complex... and from a fandom standpoint, a lot of people within a fandom write fics, comics, or draw art based off things they wanted to see more of in the show. AUs to twist a direction, explore different arcs, expand a character, showcase a potential relationship- all of which the show did not. Whether a show is super good or terribly horrible, out of hype or spite, it is still an inspiration.

Within the last few months she’s cut off almost all of the grandparents from the kids and has threatened the same of her siblings because sometimes they’ll have other people over (in their own houses) when she brings her kids over.

Nobody knows where this sudden switch up came from but everyone is getting cut off for seemingly insignificant things…one set of grandparents went on vacation and didn’t facetime every day to see the kids, so now they’re not allowed around the kids because of something along the lines of ‘they’ve shown where their true priorities lie and its clearly not with family’. Like it almost makes me think that she’s looking for any reason to cut people off and isolate her family/kids even further?

Yea I think that's definitely possible, and maybe it's not even something she's consciously trying to do. Maybe the trad/right wing rabbit hole she's discovered is confirming a lot of subconscious parenting anxieties she's had in the past, but was previously able to reason her way out of.

And now, not only are people confirming her worst fears, they're telling her it's even worse than she thought, and something will almost certainly happen to her kids if she's not always doing X, Y, and Z. I feel like a similar thing can happen to people who consume a lot of true crime, esp if they're already predisposed to paranoia, anxiety, OCD, etc.

She could also have some other reason behind wanting to isolate her kids and is just using it all as an excuse, who knows, the calling thing esp is very silly and petty. I do know though that the messages in right wing echo chambers right now are very much about how society wants to destroy the nuclear family, there are people trying to hurt or steal your child at every turn, and it's only YOU standing between them and evil‼️, and I can see how under the right circumstances, being around that could warp someone's idea of reality to the point of complete isolation.

At long last, we are now trembling on the precipice of having fast internet -- a mere 2+years after they laid the cable to our fenceline, apparently just to taunt me, because after that it took more than a year for any internet provider to admit that we had access to high-speed internet. Once we finally found a provider willing to face reality, they then dicked us around for 5 months about completing the last ~2' of the cable that actually connects to the house. But today that connection was completed, so sometime soon communications at Over Hartside will be catapulted into the late 20th century.

Do y’all know anyone who doesn’t actually know how to have a conversation, all they know is how to interrupt or derail a conversation? Like they keep talking over you to tell you their opinion on something (often unrelated), even though the conversation doesn’t call for an opinion. There was no, “What do y’all think,” but they still gotta interrupt, speak very loudly over you and tell you some very wrong opinion. Or you’ll be talking and then they just start up a different topic. And when you call them out on that the response is, “I’m not interested in that.”
