in the hour or so it took me to draw this op turned reblogs off
#this kind of thing is the best possible evidence#for the unbridgeable chasm between minds#strident opinions about matters of taste#the green in the upper right is one of my favorite colors#someone who thinks it's objectively ugly is just a closed book book to me cognitvely#and perhaps it's best that they stay that way#political differences & the like can perhaps be explained in terms of psychology or some other intellectual rationale#but things like colors & flavors make it clear that you and I are often leading entirely different lives#in a way that's immune to persuasion#explanation#or justification#and once you stack up enough of those differences#it starts to feel like we're not even the same kind of thing#we look alike but whatever's going on in your head is clearly unlike what's going on in mine#and once again the REAL problem of other minds steals the scene

i was cuddling with my boyfriend last night when his shoulder started tensing up (like he was readjusting or gently pushing me off) and when i asked him if he was okay or needed me to move or something he went “no you’re fine, i was just imagining myself pulling a large rope. i didn’t even realize my shoulder was doing that lmao” then refused to elaborate and i have never been as attracted to him as i was in that moment.
