Wasn't gonna ah it cus I felt like an ass, but honestly I'm getting over myself rn because it is going to get up to fucking 111°f here in Oklahoma. This is not normal.
The standard temperature for this time of year in my state is 80 or so, maybe 90, not fucking 111°f.
So basically my heart goes out to all the people across the world dealing with this part of climate change. Please stay hydrated as best you can and stay safe.

alright i need to talk about important this play was by sammy g. if he hadn’t stuck with mcdavid and disrupted this play, he would’ve scored. Sammy was able to give georgie time to read this play and make a save. No one else brought this up but sammy absolutely stood up mcdavid, or at least held him up a bit.

The Best Friends Deserve Bester
Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta have been teaming together as The Best Friends since August 2013. In January 2014, they won PWG's Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament, becoming number one contenders to the PWG World Tag Team Championship. They lost their subsequent challenge against The Young Bucks at Mystery Vortex II. The only other time Chuck and Trent have competed for those titles was at 2019's Hand of Doom where they lost to The Rascalz. What that means is that out of seven teams who won the PWG DDT4 between 2007 and 2015, The Best Friends are the only ones to have never held the PWG World Tag Team Championship.
Tumblr media
Alright, well maybe they had better luck in NJPW. Trent's a four-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion with Rocky Romero. If Roppongi Vice can succeed, then I'm sure The Best Friends can... come fourth in the B Block in the 2017 World Tag League and finish eighth overall in the 2018 League.
Tumblr media
No, that make sense. Best Friends as a team have always been predominantly American based. What about their ROH run in 2017? I know they had a few title matches there.
Loss vs. The Young Bucks in ROH World Tag Team Championship tornado three way match at Best in the World 2017 (also featured War Machine)
Loss vs. Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks in ROH Six Man Tag Team Championship match at Global Wars 2017 Day 3 (teamed with Flip Gordon)
Loss vs. Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks in ROH Six Man Tag Team Championship match on ROH Wrestling Episode #326 (teamed with Rocky Romero)
Loss vs. Motor City Machine Guns in ROH World Tag Team Championship match at Final Battle 2017
Tumblr media
Ok, enough messing around. Let's get into the AEW run. Orange Cassidy has done a great job as International Champion. Kris Statlander is enjoying a good reign as TBS Champion. How have Chuck and Trent done?
Win vs. SCU and Private Party at Fyter Fest 2019 to advance to All Out for an opportunity at a first round bye in the AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament (good start)
Loss vs. Dark Order at All Out 2019 (who needs a first round bye anyway?)
Loss vs. SCU in first round of AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament (ah, that bye would have been handy)
Loss vs. Kenny Omega & Adam Page in a Number One Contender's Fatal Four Way (also featured The Young Bucks and Proud & Powerful) (got four-and-a-half stars from Dave Meltzer)
Loss to The Young Bucks in a Number One Contender's Battle Royal (not gonna list all the other teams)
Win vs. Private Party in a Number One Contender's match at Double Or Nothing 2020 (that's more like it)
Win vs. Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara to remain number one contenders (yes, go on lads!)
Loss vs. Kenny Omega & Adam Page in AEW World Tag Team Championship match on Dynamite: Fyter Fest 2020 Day 1 (ah, damn it)
Loss to FTR in Number One Contender's Gauntlet match (again, not gonna list all the other teams)
Win vs. Proud & Powerful in a Parking Lot Fight (FIVE STARS BAYBEE!)
Loss to reDRagon in a Number One Contender's Battle Royal (AEW love them some battle royals)
Loss to The Young Bucks in a Number One Contender's Casino Tag Team Royale (this was literally the week after the previous battle royal)
Win w/Orange Cassidy vs. The Trustbusters in first round of AEW Trios Championship tournament (ooo, promising)
Loss w/Orange Cassidy vs. Adam Page & Dark Order in semi-final of AEW Trios Championship tournament (never mind, I guess)
Loss w/Orange Cassidy vs. Death Triangle for vacant AEW Trios Championship (can't tell me they shouldn't have won this one given PAC was already All-Atlantic Champion at the time)
Loss w/Orange Cassidy vs. Death Triangle in AEW Trios Championship match (one day lads, one day)
Loss w/Orange Cassidy to AR Fox & Top Flight in $300,000 Three Kings Christmas Casino Trios Battle Royal (we're really taking the piss now with these battle royals)
Loss to Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett in Revolution Tag Team Battle Royal (they were literally the runners up in this one, come on)
Loss w/Orange Cassidy vs. House of Black in AEW Trios Championship match (stop teasing me)
Loss vs. Aussie Open in IWGP Tag Team Championship match (they could have had a Japan run after all)
Loss w/Bandido vs. House of Black in AEW Trios Championship match (Bandido's cool but surely it's gotta be Orange for the eventual trios run)
Loss vs. Aussie Open in ROH World Tag Team Championship Fatal Four Way at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2023 (also featured Lucha Bros and The Kingdom) (another big win coming any day now)
Loss vs. Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli in Parking Lot Brawl (four-and-a-half stars for the Parking Lot sequel)
Win w/Orange Cassidy, Eddie Kingston & Penta vs. Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Proud & Powerful in Stadium Stampede at All In 2023 (the biggest of big wins, another four-and-a-half stars)
Loss to Dark Order in ROH Number One Contender's Battle Royal (great way to follow up that momentum after All In)
Loss to The Righteous in ROH Number One Contender's Fatal Four Way (also featured The Hardys and The Kingdom) (again, great follow up)
Tumblr media
Obviously there's been more matches in between the ones I highlighted. The Best Friends have had some good moments here and there but overall, it feels like there's been missed opportunities. No follow up after the initial Parking Lot Brawl. No Trios Championship run. Lost in the shuffle again following All In.
Tumblr media
The Best Friends deserve bester.

Alright, wrote a little something for all the gresties who struggle with storm anxiety like I do. I see you, I feel you, you’re not alone. You’re not crazy for feeling anxious or afraid. Like seriously you’re not, my messages and asks are ALWAYS open. I really hope these help you all in some way ❤️
Now, then… This is how I imagine the boys would comfort you during a storm:
••••
Jake:
Night time storms were one of your biggest fears. Everything was even more dangerous, with the decrease in visibility. That unsettled you to an unexplainable, unhealthy amount.
If there was a tornado, you wouldn’t see it coming and that was more than enough to send your anxiety soaring to heights that you couldn’t come down from at times.
You sat on the edge of the bed, listening intently to the weatherman on the screen. Everything he was saying was somehow going in one ear and out the other, besides the part where he’d said “tornado.”
“Jake??” you called for him, worry laced so heavily in your voice.
His footsteps were coming down the hall immediately. “What’s the matter, baby?”
All you could muster was a shaky, pointed finger towards the TV screen.
Jake watched and listened for a moment, before looking over at you with a softening expression.
“Oh, love…” Jake ran his fingers through your hair soothingly. “It’s gonna miss us… See?” He pointed to the TV.
But that wasn’t good enough for you.
“But what if it turns this way??” you question seriously, watching the Counties under said tornado warning scroll along the bottom of the screen. “I mean…It could happen…”
Jake stayed quiet for a moment, trying to think of the best way to help soothe you or make you feel at least a little bit safer.
Your head snapped to the window as wild lightning flashed from outside, then snapped back towards Jake with even more worry evident in your eyes.
“Baby, It’s okay,” he spoke gently but firmly. “Do you wanna sit in the bathtub until it passes? Would that make you feel better?”
It felt ridiculous - for you and Jake to squish into the bathtub for no reason other than for the sake of your anxiety, but you knew it would help. Jake knew it would help and he would do anything to make you feel safe.
Jake grabbed a couple of extra blankets and tossed them down in the tub, leaving one to lay over your shaking body.
He got in first and sat down, then, reached his hand up to stable you as you stepped in. You sat down between his legs, letting him pull you back against his chest. Both of his arms wrapped securely around your waist, squeezing reassuringly.
“I’ve got you, love,” he whispered calmly. “We’re not going anywhere. We’re okay. You’re safe right here with me.”
Sam:
Thunder shook the walls of your house, jolting you out of what had been a peaceful sleep.
Once you adjusted, you could hear the wind banging things around, the rain - sounding more like hail - hitting against the windows a roof. The lightning lit up your room as if it were daytime.
You sat up in the bed, running your hands through your hair with an uneven exhale of a breath.
“Love bug,” Sam mumbled from beside you, startling your further - not realizing he was awake.
Your head snapped to look back at him and he continued in a gentle command, “Lay back down.”
More lightning lit up the room and a particularly rough gust of wind shook the window, causing you to avert your attention from Sam entirely.
He sighed knowingly, sitting up to wrap his arm around your waist and pull you down himself.
“Sammy,” you whimpered.
“Shhh,” he hushed you softly, pulling you against him and enveloping your body. “I’ve got you, bug. I’ve got you.”
You tried your best to settle down and relax into Sam. He started to draw little patterns into your arm, squeezing you in his arms every so often to let you know he wasn’t gonna let go.
“You’re so beautiful… you know that?” Sammy asked softly, speaking as though he would scare you further if he talked too loud.
You hummed in acknowledgment to his words, but couldn’t find it in you to form up a better response. Thankfully, he wasn’t looking for one.
“You’re the prettiest girl in the world…” he continued, his voice already starting to calm you as he knew it would. “So smart, and funny… so sweet. So, so sweet. You’re so strong and brave, aren’t you?”
“M’trying…” you mumbled quietly, trying to let sleep overtake you before more anxiety could instead.
“You are,” Sammy corrected. “So strong. And you’re safe… Right here with me. I’ve got you. I’ll be right here when you wake up, love bug.”
Josh:
Storm after storm; it never seemed to end. You would be blessed with a few days of sunshine, only to be bombarded with more severe weather in the wake of those sunny, warm, days.
Of course, to you inconvenience, this time around the storms just had to be hitting at night.
“Mama, you can’t stay up all night.” Josh argued lightly - worriedly.
“But what if our phones don’t go off for a warning and we don’t get woken up? What if-“
“Baby, please,” Josh pleaded lightly, crouching down in front of where you were sat anxiously on the edge of the couch. “You need sleep. We both do. You shouldn’t stay up in here and scare yourself even more.”
He was right, if he went to bed and you stayed up, that would just make it worse - not having him next to you.
“We can turn the bedroom TV on, yeah?” Josh reasoned. “We can turn it on, I’ll make sure the volume on my phone is up all the way… It’ll be okay. Just come lay down with me, okay?”
With a defeated sigh, you got up and followed Josh to your shared bedroom. To your surprise, the TV was already set to the Weather Channel and his phone was plugged in on his nightstand.
“How’d you know I’d give in?” You questioned him, trying to sound playful but still just sounding anxious.
“I didn’t, but I wanted to be ready just in case,” Josh answered, climbing into the bed. “C’mere.”
You climbed in beside him, watching him as he leaned over and flipped off the lamp on his nightstand. He picked up his phone and held it out in front of you.
“See?” He pressed the volume buttons on the side. “Volumes all the way up, mama. If it goes off, I promise it will wake us up.”
You nodded and sunk down into the blankets, feeling surprisingly calmer than you were feeling before.
Josh, laid on his back next to you, guided your head to his chest.
It was silent for a few minutes, save for the faint sounds of the weatherman talking away on the TV, until Josh began to sink quietly.
“Kiss me once, then kiss me twice
Then kiss me once again…
It’s been a long, long time…”
You couldn’t help the content sigh that fluttered out of you, the anxious feelings in your body being overtaken by the gently melody that Josh was filling the room with.
“Haven’t felt like this, my dear
Since I can’t remember when…
It’s been a long, long time.”
The sounds of thunder and wind and rain, faded into background noise as Josh continued to lull you to sleep with his voice, not stopping until he was positive you were sound asleep.
Danny:
“Babe?” Danny called, finally returning home late from the studio.
The storms had kept them stuck there for a few extra hours, but the second a break in between storms came, Danny was rushing home to get to you.
He searched around for a moment rather frantically, before finding you laid out in the floor of your walk in closet with blankets and pillows.
“Baby girl,” he couldn’t help the surprised chuckle that slipped out of him at the sight before him. “How long have you been chilling in the closet??”
“Uhhh,” you started, looking at the time on your phone. “Since the first tornado warning…”
“Babe, that was 4 hours ago.” Danny stepped in carefully, sitting down next to you.
“I’m so sorry,” he sighed weakly. “I should have just stayed home with you today.”
“No, no, it’s okay,” you assured him.
“Do you wanna come into the bedroom…?” Danny asked hesitantly. “We can cuddle on the bed…?”
You looked out into the bedroom, then back down at your phone that had just lit up with another warning.
“Could we… Do you think we could cuddle in here?” you asked him seriously with a sheepish expression.
A little hint of a smile tugged at his lips, “Yeah, we can stay in here.”
Danny slid underneath the blankets beside you, tugging you securely into his side and placing your legs over top of his.
“You wanna hear about to Kiszka Studio chronicle of the day?” Danny asked, making an attempt to focus your attention elsewhere.
You looked up at him expectantly, waiting for him to continue.
“So, after one of the storms… Jake insisted on going out and looking at the hail,” Danny began, the exasperation already clear in his tone. “It was fuckin’ massive. So, of course, he brings a couple of them back inside with him and he tossed one at Sam, but Sam missed it and it hit his bass…”
You genuine gasp jolts out of you, knowing good and well that Sam was very cautious with his instruments. “Did Sam kill him??”
Danny giggled at that.
“Not… yet? I don’t know. There was a lot of yelling after that, but he didn’t kill him,” Danny continued, laughing lightly. “You know Sam, though… he’s ruthless. He’ll get him back.”

Smother the Flame in Your Heart - Part XIV
Tumblr media
Read previous parts here or read on Ao3
Pairing: Danny Wagner x Sam Kiszka
Word Count: ~3500
Warnings: vampire stuff, you know how it is;)
---
“I really don’t know how else to explain this to you,” Sam said to Josh. They had been sitting outside in the same patio chairs that Jake and Danny had been sitting in on the night of their birthday celebration, and Sam was completely exhausted. He missed Danny desperately. But he also felt perhaps just as much red-hot rage and betrayal so strong that it blew through him like a tornado.
“Samuel, just saying something is something doesn’t make it true,” Josh countered, small enough to lift his legs up and cross them in the chair. “Just saying Danny is a vampire isn’t going to make me believe it.”
Sam groaned, tipping his head back to look at the blazing sunset for a few seconds instead of his brother’s disbelieving face. He actually hadn’t expected Josh to be such a hard sell–Josh loved mythology as much, if not more, than his twin, and was always full of whimsy, always creating stories and lore of his own.
“I told you, Josh,” Sam whined, snatching the pack of cigarettes that was sitting idly between them. He’d never smoked so much in his life apart from the past four days. “The hickies, Danny avoiding you–that’s stuff you saw firsthand. I’ve felt his fangs in me, I get to see them all the time. Those are real. He drinks blood for fuck’s sake, and he has to drink it to stay alive.”
“And you’re okay with that?”
“What, like I’m gonna take a moral stance against a fucking hot as fuck vampire who actually doesn’t kill people?” Sam snorted with a cigarette in one hand and the lighter in the other. “Yeah, right.”
“Okay, that’s fair,” Josh said, taking the pack back for his own indulgence. “I’m just trying to wrap my head around it, that’s all. How have I been alive for this long and not known vampires are real?”
“Danny always stresses that it’s not glamorous,” Sam supplied, and saying his name again had his heart turning wistful and sore.  “Like I said before, he refers to it as a disease. He’s been infected and it’s just something he has to deal with, but he doesn’t wanna hurt anyone. I’m sure he’s not alone in trying to be stealth.”
“Does he hurt you?”
Sam shook his head while he took a drag. “Fuck no. I fucking love it.”
Josh snorted. “I should have known. You’ve never once looked…hm. Turned off by him, I suppose I could say.”
Sam’s cheeks flushed. “TMI, Josh. Sorry.”
Josh gave a wave of his hand. “Nah, fuck it. He’s hot, Sammy. Anyone can see that.”
Sam narrowed his eyes behind the smoke and stared at his brother. “Shut the fuck up. Don’t get any ideas. Jake’s bad enough for–” He stopped, fingers going limp as they held the cigarette, not sure what he was even accusing Jake of.
“Bad enough for what? You don’t think they’ve fucked around, do you?”
The incredibly brief blip of that image sent Sam’s heart into a wild frenzy, his mind reeling, the smoke in his lungs acrid. “No, I know they haven’t. Danny would never. He said he just wants to be friends.”
“Also fair.”
Sam sighed, physically too exhausted to get worked up into his own frenzy. “So, since Danny got ‘infected’ or however you want to say it, he’s isolated himself. He’d go out to feed, y’know, because he had to, and he has his job and his family. But that was it.” He took another drag, not entirely ignoring how his hand was shaking a bit. “He didn’t know how to tell anyone. Like, of course no one would believe him, right? You don’t.” At that, Josh shook his head, but Sam went on: “And then we found each other and it’s been great. And maybe I’m being selfish because, fuck it, yeah, a part of me wants all of Danny all to myself all the time. But I know he deserves friends and he and Jake get along really well, but–shit. Why’d they have to fucking lie to me, Josh?”
Josh was silent, face contemplative with his eyes cast out, looking into the trees and the sky for a few moments, then he said, “All I can say right now, Sammy, is that Danny loves you like a motherfucker and it sounds like he was a little scared and unsure of how to navigate all of this. As for Jake, you know he’d never do anything to hurt you. He’s just–” Another, shorter pause as Josh waved his hand in the air, searching for the word while Sam searched his face. “He’s a romantic. And you know how much he loves vampires. To him, I bet it seems like you hit the jackpot and he can’t even get a scrap of leftovers.”
“Yeah, well,” Sam began, looking down at the ash he tapped from his cigarette. “Danny’s mine. Sucks to be Jake, I guess.”
“Sam. We need to take this in stride. Jake is your brother. Yes, he should have done more than just hint to you by reading Dracula in front of you,” Josh said with a quiet chuckle. “But put yourself in his place for a second. I have a feeling you’d also be trying to covet a secret friendship with a vampire, too.” He leaned over to elbow Sam in the arm. “Hello, Sammy! You were already doing that.”
“It’s Danny’s secret, not mine. I wasn’t just gonna tell you guys.”
“Well, did you talk more with Danny about that after your birthday trip? It sounds like you wanted it to be a secret more than he did.”
Sam’s shoulders slumped; he flicked ash from the cigarette again and gave a simple but despondent, “Not really.”
“Ah. Perhaps that’s worth considering,” Josh replied, gently jostling Sam’s shoulder. “It’ll be okay, but you all have to make it okay. I also bet Danny is dying to see you right now.”
“Yeah.” Sam let the silence stick around, smoking some more, letting the acrid smoke fill his lungs some more, until a little alarm rang in his head. “Oh fuck,” he sputtered, that smoke spewing from his lips. “He hasn’t–shit, he hasn’t fed in so long.” The explicit thought being, Danny could actually be dying.
“How long?” Josh asked, Sam not even fully looking at him as he sprung to his feet and grabbed his phone from the deck banister. “How long can he go?”
“About a week,” Sam replied, hitting the call button beneath Danny’s name on his screen. “A week on average. Sometimes a little longer, but not much.”
“How long has it been?”
Sam stamped the cigarette out in the ashtray so hard the whole thing skidded off the table and onto the deck floor, gray ash puffing into the air. “Longer than that.” He could see now how selfish he’d been about all of this, but not even realizing Danny had gone so long without blood made Sam want to die himself. Danny also, Sam knew, wouldn’t go out for a stranger again. Not after he learned how much it hurt Sam, how much Sam begged, what they ended up having together. No, Danny would just let himself starve to simply not bother anyone else, Sam especially.
“No answer?” Josh asked, glancing up from his kneeling position on the wood, trying to scoop whatever ash he could back into place.
Sam huffed and dialed again. “No.” It rang and rang and went to voicemail again. He locked his phone and started to charge back to the house. “I gotta go over there.”
Not a second passed before Josh said, right behind him, “I’m coming with you, Sammy.” Sam kept moving, gathering his keys, putting on shoes, frantic and frazzled until a small yet strong hand found his arm and made him steady. “He’ll be alright,” Josh said, and though the statement was admittedly a little comforting, Sam couldn’t fully believe it.
-
“I’d love it if you could help me,” Danny told Jake, looking at his neck, his bare arms and wrists–the parts of his body that were visible and that Danny could bite. The parts he did want to bite and drink from, not even to test his taste theory or because he was attracted to Jake, but because he really was so desperate. “But if we did that, Sam would hate me and then, not to be melodramatic or anything, but I really wouldn’t have much of a reason to live.” Not since the beginning of his new life as a vampire had he ever been so depleted–completely empty and clinging to life. But there was no way in hell he was going to betray Sam any further.
Jake let out a long, slow breath with a matching slow nod. “Okay. So let’s call Sammy, right? At the very least, you guys need to talk.”
Danny nodded too, grabbing his phone from the end table beside the couch. He’d had it on mute all day and had hardly looked at it, since each time he did he just wanted to reach out to his boyfriend over and over. A cold chill ran down his spine when he saw the missed calls from Sam, all from just a few minutes prior.
“He’s been calling me,” he told Jake, putting the phone to his ear after he hit “call back.” On the second ring, Sam picked up the call, a quick blurt of Danny’s name punctuated with a question mark coming in past the sound of wind. “Hey, Sam,” Danny said, sitting forward on the couch, legs bent straight, feet against the floor, while Jake shifted next to him, positioning himself the same way.
“Thank god you’re alive,” Sam said. “Fuck, I’m so sorry, Danny–I didn’t even realize how long it’s been. I’m on my way.”
Danny’s instinct led him to thoughts of, You don’t have to, it’s okay, don’t worry about it, take all the time you need, but no–fuck that, he concluded. “You’re my hero,” he said instead, smiling a little and nearly forgetting Jake was even next to him. “My white knight. You know I just wanna see you though, right? It’s not about–”
“You need it, Daniel, and I want you to have it from me.”
Danny became more aware of Jake again; he glanced over at him picking at the label on his beer bottle and watching Danny right back. “I always want it from you. I always want you.”
“You’re gonna be fine, Danny. Promise. We’ll talk more after,” Sam told him. “I’m almost there. Josh is with me, by the way.”
Danny swallowed. “That’s totally cool. Um–Jake is here.”
An unsettling pause festered for a long moment before Sam said, “Oh, he is? Great. That’s–fuck. Did you–”
“No. Nothing,” Danny interrupted. “We’ve just been talking. He was worried.”
Sam sighed. “Fine. I really don’t want to see him right now but–it’s fine. I’ll see you soon, okay?”
“Soon,” Danny repeated. “Thank you.”
More unsettling silence–foreign to Danny when he was normally with Jake–settled in the apartment. Thankfully, the wait was short and soon enough, his buzzer went off; Danny got to his feet again but, also again, found himself wobbly and lightheaded. Jake hopped up and placed gentle hands on his shoulders, easing him back down onto the couch.
“Just sit,” he said, voice soft, even a bit weak–Danny didn’t doubt Jake was also feeling guilty now. “I’ll let them up.”
“I should give Sam my spare keys,” Danny said, embarrassed that he hadn’t offered them any sooner. They’d just always come to his place together. Perhaps those keys would be one step in the road to making up with his boyfriend.
“He’d like that,” Jake said, who stayed idle by the door, letting his body relax against the wall while his face looked anything but. It was odd for Danny to see him that way; then again, Danny could imagine how odd he looked too, all drained and debilitated.
After being buzzed up, no knock interrupted the dreadful silence that had resumed–Sam just burst through the door, blazing right past Jake while Josh trailed behind him, and Danny barely had time to blink before his beloved was right in front of him. Sam sank to his knees in front of the couch, hands resting on Danny’s thighs as he looked up at him with far more worry and care than Danny had been expecting to receive right away.
“Fuck. Fuck, Danny, I’m so sorry,” Sam said, grimacing and taking one of Danny’s hands in his.
Danny chuckled. “Do I really look that bad?”
“You look sick,” Sam said, unable to be any more descriptive than that. Before he’d realized how long it had been since Danny had fed, he’d been prepared to eventually approach him with guns blazing, with the rage and self-righteousness he was so comfortable with. All that changed once he realized the situation and his feelings softened further when he got Danny on the phone; but being right in front of him and seeing the pale skin, hollowed cheeks, the bruise-like half moons beneath his eyes and dry lips alarmed Sam so badly that he knew he had just as much to feel guilty about. If not more.
“Hey,” Josh said, just loud enough to break both Sam and Danny’s focus. “Jake and I are gonna go for a walk. We’ll come back and talk?”
Danny nodded; Sam huffed and turned back to him as he said to his brothers, “Don’t rush.” When the door shut and they were in the clear, Sam got up and planted himself right in Danny’s lap, hands on those usually strong but now slumped and deflated shoulders. “Okay, let’s go. And before you say it, don’t say it.”
Danny felt better just being able to touch Sam, though the hunger undeniably remained. It even grew with Sam on top of him, his scent all up in Danny’s face, his skin so smooth and perfect looking, then warm beneath his hands as Danny gripped Sam’s arms. “Say what?”
“Say ‘are you sure?’”
“Well–”
Sam grabbed a fistful of hair from Danny’s nape and gave a warning tug. “Nope. I’m not playing that game today, Daniel.” He brought his neck closer to Danny’s mouth. “Drink up.”
Finally wise enough to not question anything further, Danny did. He hugged Sam into his body, brushed his hair back and sank his teeth into that beautiful neck. He was so overwhelmed by finally being able to hold his boyfriend again, smell him, taste him again, that he didn’t care about the brutal “hickey” that would be leftover or how they even got to this point in the first place. He just breathed and tasted, drinking up his fill of warm, sweet, unbelievably delicious blood from his unbelievably incredible boyfriend.
Sam didn’t really care either at the moment. He closed his eyes and hugged Danny right back, sighing and relaxing as he sucked as much as he needed, always so careful to never go even slightly overboard. It might have been weird–even downright messed up–but Sam felt safe when they did this. He wanted Danny to feel the same way. So he kept holding him tight as Danny slurped the last little mouthful, then licked and kissed the bite marks until they faded.
“So are you okay?” Sam asked once Danny pulled back. His neck burned as his skin always did once the biting and bloodsucking was over, but his heart burned even hotter.
Danny sighed through his nose as he licked his lips. He finally felt warm and sort of full–relieved and safe physically, but still unsteady emotionally. “I don’t know. Are we okay?”
Sam slid off Danny’s lap and sat beside him instead, suddenly feeling quite debilitated himself. “I don’t know.” He looked over at the beer bottle that had been left behind by his brother. “What’s been going on with you and Jake?”
“Not really anything, honestly, Sam,” Danny said, reaching for his own neglected beer. “I didn’t think so anyway. I just–it’s like I told you. I was worried he’d lose interest in being my friend if the secret between us died so fast, you know? Like, I just wanted to keep a little intrigue. A little mystery.”
“Danny, what’s more intriguing and mysterious than just being a fucking vampire?” Sam countered, taking the beer for a sip of his own after Danny drank. “I don’t get why it needed to be a secret for you two.” He saw the hurt in Danny’s face and continued: “But I don’t think I made things very easy for you. I was the one who was adamant about everything being secret from everyone and…and that wasn’t fair to you.”
Danny sighed. “Thank you.”
“I just didn’t want you with anyone else anymore. Anyone else, including my brothers.”
“I have no interest in being with anyone else.” Danny chuckled and took the beer back. “Why do you think I’ve been fucking starving lately?”
Sam lunged forward to plant a kiss on Danny’s forehead, cradling his face in his hands. “You’re a good boy. I know. And I’m a fucking selfish asshole.”
Danny shook his head, taking Sam’s hands in his own. “We’ve both been a little selfish. We can work through that. Right now, I’m more worried about you and Jake.”
Sam flopped back with a loud sigh, gangly limbs draping themselves over the half of the couch where Jake had been sitting. “Yeah, me too. But I’m pissed at him. Don’t I have a right to be?”
“You do,” Danny agreed, knowing the road to success for everyone was placating Sam above all else. “I think there’s some things he wants to explain to you. But I can tell you now that he never meant any harm.”
Sam believed that. Jake and Josh and Sam had never been anything but loyal, ride-or-die best friends and brothers since they were kids, no matter how many fights they had throughout the years. Sam would prefer to hash things out with fists than words, but he knew that wouldn’t work this time. Still, when the twins returned and Jake started explaining his side of things, hearing that he had feelings for Danny made it very difficult to not start throwing punches. That was an even worse secret. It proved Sam’s hunches had been right and made Jake to be even more of a traitor in his mind.
Hands clenching into tight fists while Jake spoke, Sam was so hurt and angry he was mostly speechless, only sparing a few grunts of disapproval and scoffs. Jake looked hurt too, with sad, dark eyes that pleaded for his brother to just take it easy on him, not even necessarily forgive him. Beside him, Danny kept one hand on Sam’s thigh as if to try and keep him from springing up and lashing out; but as much as Sam felt that urge, he also still felt exhausted. He had to remind himself that he wasn’t a teenager anymore–he had to remember that if there was one thing he could never control, it was how other people felt. It wasn’t Jake’s fault he had a crush on Danny. It wasn’t Danny’s fault either. It wasn’t Danny’s fault he was a vampire. But it was Sam’s own fault for being so demanding and harsh, for trying to box his boyfriend in and for making it even harder for those secrets he hated so much to be revealed at all.
“I just like vampires,” was what Jake concluded with, sitting cross-legged on the floor in front of the couch, looking down and fiddling with the fibers of the carpet. “I like Danny too, for more reasons than just that. I’m really sorry I crossed a line, Sam. And Danny, too. Sorry to both of you.”
Sam let all of Jake’s words linger for a minute while he let his breathing slow. With another sigh, he sat forward, hanging his arms between his knees, and looked at his brother as he said, “I love you, Jake. Just stop fucking flirting with my boyfriend.”
Both twins’ faces relaxed at that, but Josh was the first to actually laugh. Jake laughed next, quieter, and nodded while he replied, “Okay. I can do that.”
“You have to admit it, Sammy,” Josh chimed in, and Sam knew it must have been excruciating for him to stay silent this whole time. “Danny really is quite alluring.”
“I admit that freely,” Sam said, giving his boyfriend a grin before turning back to his brothers. “But he’s mine.”

The funny thing about living in a town for a long time with neighbors who are constantly moving in and out is that none of the strangers who live there now know i know their houses inside and out from when i was a kid and other kids lived here.
The neighbors on our left don’t know the first couple that lived there gave us a cat we had named Sammy when he was a kitten, they don’t know there was a guitar in the backroom, and that they were driving through a year after they moved and gave me a necklace as a late birthday present because they ran into us at walmart. They don’t know a little boy lived there at one point and we ate dinner in the bathroom once because we were soaking wet from being in the pool, and that we had a fort made of wood planks in the backyard for months. I had to boost my other friend through the window once because the mom accidentally locked herself out of the house.
The house on the hill behind us doesn’t know the backyard always stunk of gasoline from the shed and that the laundry room in the back always had monster high dolls all over the floor, it was always stocked with gatorade. They don’t know me and my friend tried to sing a duet to her mom in the livingroom but then i got nervous and we made potato omelettes together. Her mom drove us around one halloween and we bought watercolors for some reason.
The house on the corner doesn’t know we used to make forts out of mattresses in the bedroom and we had a sleepover there once.
The house on our right doesn’t know the lady who lived there worked at a craft store and we used to come hang out with her three dogs while my mom talked with her.
The house further up the hill doesn’t know that my best friend used to live there, there was a trampoline in the front yard, and that the initials carved into the concrete where they installed a tornado shelter belong to two brothers.
The house in the dip across from there doesn't know something sad happened there.
And there’s other houses too.
Across town, a few blocks over, the apartment building not too far away.
I’ve been there, and no one knows. It’s kind of funny and sad.

The One Where They Forgot Sam
Summary: Movie night doesn't go to plan when a tornado is about to hit the house
Words: 1,407 ish lol
Warnings: swearing, margaritas, mention of tornadoes - please excuse any errors at the moment I'm running on 0 sleep and feeling like shit
Sam stood at the island counter, leaning on it, his chin resting in his palm, as he watched the back of his older brother, Jake, cooking something. He soon forgot what his brother had just said other than,
"Don't worry, I'll make sure yours is veggie."
A family film night was currently planned. Food, drinks, and a shitty movie.
One of the thousands of vinyls spun away, filling the background with soft jazz, while Sam kept berating Jake about cooking.
"Make sure you make loads; Daniel's coming over." And Josh will try to eat more than he can actually stomach."
At the mention of the other twin, Josh appeared suddenly in the kitchen doorway, axe in hand.
Sam's hand that he was leaning on dropped from his chin. He leaned against the island with a stoic expression as his eyes looked over his older brother.
Josh stood there with the axe, his curls a little more messy than usual, kahki shorts, a white vest, a pair of big brown boots that looked way too big for him, and a massive jacket.
"Look, I get it. You fucking love Stanley Kubrick. But don't you think THIS is taking it too far? What is this? Are you role-playing?" Sam waved his hand out, gesturing at him.
Jake merely looked up from the meal he was making to his twin, then back down to it without paying him any mind.
Josh let out a giggle.
"HERE'S JOSHY!" He let out a gruff voice before breaking into a melodic laugh, which made Sam roll his eyes.
"We need wood, and since YOU never offer to chop any and Jakey is busy cooking dinner for us, that means Mr. Muscle here will have to do the dirty work."
"Hey, I do offer; it's just that I'm not allowed after what happened." Sam defended.
The axe once flew out of Sam's hands as he flung it behind his head once, which nearly took out Danny as they both offered to go chop some wood. In Sam's defense, he swore the handle was 'slippy'.
Josh snorted and walked up to Jake. Sam's eyes narrowed as he watched them, Josh said something, then did something with his hand that made Jake nod in agreement, and then he trudged off to go chop wood.
"It will never amaze me that you two communicate in the most bizarre fucking way." And with that, he downed the rest of his drink and walked around the island.
Jake turned from the dish as he let it simmer and looked up at his brother. "Did you want to help?"
"You I will, him I won't." The taller man admitted.
Jake laughed.  "Okay, get all the drink shit ready and you can be like the barten-" he stopped, remembering that his little brother's drink-making skills weren't that great.
"Just get everything on the island, drinks, cups, you know the drill, and ice. Lots of ice"
"I'll be the master of cups and fucking ice." He let out before walking over to the fridge.
Jake laughed. "Stop rewatching Friends."
10 minutes later, Danny arrived. He bought a few drink options along with some deserts he picked up.
"Hello!" He smiled at the two brothers in the kitchen as he placed his things down and looked around at them and what they were doing.
"Josh is out chopping wood." Sam called over his shoulder as he finished his margarita pitcher.
"Oh." Danny simply replied.
"Jakes is cooking us a new dish he came up with." Sam called over his shoulder again.
"Oh?!" Danny smiled and replied in a more cheerful tone.
"And I have just finished the first margarita pitcher!" Sammy turned around and grinned widely at his friend.
"Oh..." he let out, sounding disappointed. If Sam noticed, he didn't let him see, but Jake snorted out a laugh, "Ha."
Josh returned with wood, which turned out to be 2 pieces of very thin logs.
The rest of the group looked at the wood and then back at him. "Chopping wood, were we?" Sam used air quotes for chopping, which got a laugh from Danny.
"I could kick a tree and get a better result," he added, earning a bigger laugh from Danny.
Josh broke out in a smile. "Okay, I got distracted. A squirrel came, and it kept trying to get in the way of my axe. It wouldn't leave me alone, so I followed it and kinda got lost in the dark."
Sam called him something along the lines of 'Snow White' and told him to be ready for "the best margaritas of your mother fucking life!"
"Ooooh, did Danny make a batch?" Josh asked as he approached the island, ready to grab a glass.
"No!  I did.  It's my pitcher."
Josh's hand grabbed anything but the cup that was filled on the island. His hand happened to land on a lime, which he pretended to be very interested in as his younger brother's mouth dropped open a little as he watched him.
"Boys, dinner will be ready in 9 minutes." Jake turned around and flung a dish towel on his shoulder as he took a sip from his drink that was long forgotten.
"Well, I'm going to take a quick shower." Sam suddenly declared.
"Sammy, dinner is almost ready..." the long-haired twin sighed a little as he watched the youngest brother walk towards the stairs in the hallway, his bare feet slapping on the wooden floor.
He lifted a hand as he walked. "I won't be long; I just want to freshen up." And with that, he was gone.
Josh let go of the lime, and looked at the pitcher Sammy had made. His eyes went from it to Danny, who did the same thing.
"Shall I make-"
"Yes."  The twins said at the same time, which made the drummer laugh.
Jake had called out to Sammy that dinner was ready, and they were all settled with drinks and food ready for the movie. All he got back was a loud, "YEAH, I GOT IT!"
As he returned back to the living room, he was met with Josh and Danny looking at their phones. "Jake, there's a fucking tornado warning. And it's close."
Jake's brows furrowed before he squinted at the bright light that suddenly assaulted his eyes as Josh thrusted the phone an inch from his face. "LOOK! QUICK! BASEMENT!"
They all grabbed what they needed—phones, flashlights, water, some blankets, and their food—and went down to the basement.
"Some fucking movie night." Jake laughed out loud as he sat on a chair, plate perched on his knees, trying to eat calmly and not think about the goddamn tornado that will hit them. Josh sat on the floor with his food at his side and his hands behind his head, prepared for the worst. Danny sat in a garden lounge chair with a drink in one hand and tried to eat with the other.
"I feel like we forgot something." Jake let out as he chewed.  They got their phones, along with chargers, just in case they needed to call anyone if it got really bad.
Josh's hands fell as he looked up at the two other men. "Oh my fucking god—" he rushed up from the floor and ran up the stairs.
Jake's body automatically jolted to go after him but stopped when he heard heavy footsteps stomp down the stairs.
"We forgot Danny's pitcher!" Josh laughed as he held up the pitcher with a toothy grin.
 Jake clapped, "Ah, yes! Bravo!"
MEANWHILE...
Sam's wet feet slapped even louder on the floor as he reached the bottom step of the stairs and walked into the kitchen. One hand held a towel around his waist while the other rubbed one on his head.
"Sorry, but I nearly went flying in the stupid showe-" he said, but suddenly stopped when he saw the kitchen was empty. He walked into the living room. No one.
"Where's everybody at?" He loudly called out.
The three men in the basement suddenly all looked at each other as they heard him.
"Oh shit, we forgot Sam." Josh let out before he rushed to his feet to run up the stairs again.
Jake and Danny burst out laughing when they heard Sammy's voice grow louder as he got closer.
"The fuck you mean you forgot about me with a fucking tornado about to hit this damn house?!"

A/N Thank you so much for all of the love and support for this series. It truly means the world to me. As always, I am doing a tag list and would be happy to add you just comment below or message me. Jake is a bit of an asshole in this chapter but I promise I will make it up to you in the coming chapters. Peace and love babes.
“Where the fuck are they?!” Jake asked the group clearly annoyed by Josh’s usual tardiness.
Danny, Sam, Jake, Jita and Hannah had all arrived to the airport long before Josh, Nora and yourself. They stood anxiously in the first class lounge awaiting your arrival.
“I am sure Josh was just running late… but I will call Nora.” Danny said.
“Please!” Jita responded lightly tapping Danny’s arm as he turned away from the group, phone in hand.
“You would think with all he has planned for this weekend he may have actually been on time for once!” Sammy said through a laugh, attempting to elevate his older brothers tension.
“You would think!” Jake bit back. The show was not until Friday evening, but the boys were always a little extra nervous when opening for another band. Especially one as well known as Metallica.
Hannah returned from the bar handing everyone a cocktail to ease the nerves. Danny was pacing back a forth in front a large window over looking the run way. Snow and ice covered the ground. He had placed several calls to both you and Nora but was met with no answer. “Shit.” He grumbled to himself as he continued calling. The rest of the group decided to get comfortable in the lounge as there was nothing to do but wait. About 15 minutes pass before Danny receives a call back from Nora. “Hello?? Where are you? The plane leaves in 30 minutes!” Danny said frantically into his phone. The group gathered around the window eager to hear any update. “Well run dammit!” Danny said in a much more lighthearted tone.
A few long minutes pass, “We are here!” You said barging through the door of the lounge. All of you fumbling as you quickly run inside, bags in hand.
“Just barely.” Jake said still clearly pissed off.
“We are so glad you guys made it! The weather has canceled almost all of the flights, ours is the last one going out for the evening!” Hannah explained.
“Shit, I am sorry. We were going through security when Danny called. We didn’t mean to worry you!” You said apologetically.
“You are here now! That’s all that matters!” Jita said addressing you but the sentiment seemed more targeted as a reminder for Jake.
Nora had made her way over to greet Danny, he picked her up into a big bear hug and spun her around a few times. His anxieties seemed to melt away at her touch.
Josh went to the bar to grab a drink for the two of you to share. As he returned to the group you couldn’t help but notice Jake shooting daggers his way.
“Don’t look now but I think Jake may want to murder us.” You whispered into Josh’s ear as you took the drink from his hand. He chuckled as he glanced over at his twin. “I should probably apologize.” You insisted.
“He will be fine, I already took care of it.” He said through a giggle, kissing your cheek.
“What did you say?” You asked nervously. Truth is, it was you who had made the group so late. You knew Josh had made plans for the weekend and you had no idea what to wear. Josh arrived on time to the apartment to find your room resembling the destruction path of a tornado . Clothes covered every square inch of the floor with next to nothing in your suitcase. With out hesitation he helped you decide on what to bring and even packed up your bags as you finished getting ready.
“I told him I was just running late as usual.” He shrugged and flashed you a toothy grin.
“Joshua!” You whisper yelled, feeling guilty having him take the fall for you.
He laughed at your reaction as he walked over to greet Danny. Danny offering him a punch to the arm for scaring everyone.
You continued to watch Jake has he stared out the window with an obvious scowl across his face. You felt a hand brush your shoulder and you heard Jita’s voice behind you. “Josh is right, he will be fine. Jake just gets nervous before a big show.” She said shooting you a wink as you turned to face her. You placed a hand on top of hers as if to say thank you.
“Alright we are boarding, come on!” Jake said with his tone beginning to soften as he gathered his things. Everyone else did the same as they headed to the gate. Josh took your hand in his as you walked through the terminal. Hundreds of people were sitting at their respective gates waiting on delayed flights. You spotted a few fans taking pictures of the group as you passed them. The guys offered waves and smiles in return. Once arriving at the gate you were all last to board into first class. You had flown very little in your life and never first class.
“I could get used to this!” Nora said as she sunk comfortably into the seat next to yours, as Danny placed your things in the overhead bins. You playfully rolled your eyes at her. You also enjoyed the perks of being with the band but Nora shamelessly took great pleasure from the new life style.
“AHEM.” Josh dramatically cleared his throat as he approached his now occupied seat.
“Oh come on you will be with her all weekend! A few hours apart will not kill you!” Nora teased. Josh looked down at you with a theatrical pout on his face.
“She has a point.” You said shrugging your shoulders and shooting him a smile. He let out a loud sighed in defeat.
“Fine!” He said throwing a finger in Nora’s direction. “But she is all mine once the wheels touch down in Vegas!” Placing a kiss on your forehead he found an open seat next to Danny, directly behind you.
“See you aren’t even that far! No need to be a baby!” Nora continued to poke at him.
“Be nice! Or I will make you sit next to him until you two learn to stop fighting over me!” You offered her a back handed slap to the outside of her thigh.
“That’s never going to happen!” Josh piped in from the seat behind you.
“Never!” Nora reiterated as she opened the inflight menu. “What will be the drink of choice for our journey?” She asked as you glanced over her shoulder at the menu.
“You ladies help yourselves to whatever you like, as always.” Danny chimed in a charming tone.
“Already planned on it babe!” Nora shot back, causing Danny to laugh and roll his eyes at her.
“Champagne and caviar anyone?” Nora said in a voice mimicking Josh’s.
“Oh cool, steal my girlfriend and my line!” Josh said in a playfully angry tone as he threw his arms into the air. You couldn’t see it but Josh’s face flushed as he realized what he said. Yours did as well. It was the first time Josh had called you his girlfriend. You weren’t quite that official yet, but hearing it come from his lips left you as giddy as a school girl.
Nora sensed your reaction to his words. “Oh brother.” She said mocking you light heartedly.
“This is going to be a long flight.” Jake said wrapping an arm around Jita and closing his eyes. The two of them quickly falling asleep before the plane even took off.
Sam and Hannah were seated across the isle from you, with Rosie at their feet. They were debating over what to watch as they scrolled through the movie options on the tiny screens in front of them. Rosie unbothered by their noise cuddled up in a ball between them, keeping an eye on the flight attendants as they walked by.
You could hear Josh writing in his journal behind you. The pen scribbling across the heavy paper as ideas ran through his head. Attempting to capture them all before they got to far. It was one of your favorite noises. You would occasionally wake up to an empty bed to find him writing. The sound would always soothe you back to sleep. Sometimes you would stay up just to sit and watch him. You swore you could almost see the thoughts as they danced around. You fell asleep listening to his pen hit the paper without meaning to.
POP
You woke up to two large glasses of champagne being poured in front of you. A strawberry sitting in the bottom of each glass. You sleepily accepted your glass and thanked the stewardess, Nora doing the same.
“Cheers!” She said as she clinked her glass to yours.
You took a small sip from your glass before turning around to find Josh with his pen still glued to his notebook. No longer able to hear the comforting sound over the roar of the planes engine. A grin crept up on his lips as you watched him. He could sense your gaze as he continued to fill the page. Looking to his side you found Danny sound asleep. Continuing to see what everyone was up to you found Jake and Jita also still asleep in one another’s arms. Sam had even fallen asleep on Hannah’s shoulder as she continued to watch whatever movie they eventually decided on.
“I can not wait to see Vegas!” Nora said with a slight squeal after chugging down her glass.
“You might not remember it if you keep up that pace!” You teased as you sipped your bubbles.
“It’s not every day that I get to fly first class to Las Vegas with a bunch of rockstars…”
“…And your super rad sister?” You interrupted.
“Her too!” She said laughing as she poured herself another glass, topping off yours.
You both talk for a while, laughing and catching up on all the juicy work gossip.
“Your caviar ladies.” The stewardess said delivering a tray of caviar, olives and some fancy crackers.
“Oh we didn’t order that.” You correct holding up a hand in denial of the tray.
“I ordered it for you.” Josh said as he leaned around the edge of your seat. “My treat.” He cooed flashing a grin.
“Don’t mind if I do!” Nora said taking the tray from the woman and instantly digging in.
“Thank you.” You say to the stewardess as she walked off. “And thank you.” You say to Josh with big puppy dog eyes, touched by the sentiment. He blew you a sweet kiss as he went back to writing.
“Fuck this is good!” Nora drunkenly exclaimed far too loudly for a plane full of sleeping people.
“Maybe we have had enough to drink.” You say as you pick up the bottle, surprised to find it was completely empty, even though you only had one glass.
“I think its time for another bottle, STEWARDESS!” Nora yelled. Waking up Danny.
“Shut up!” Jake grumbled half asleep.
“Nope thats enough!” You said waving the flight attendant off.
“You are no fun!” She huffed as she finished off the tray of food in front of her.
Josh stood up and found himself a spot leaning against your seat, looking over at Nora with his arms crossed and a disappointed look on his face.
“Well I see Nora enjoyed my gift.” He said with a chuckle.
“Very much so.” You joined in the laughter.
“Danny I do believe your lady is as drunk as a skunk!” Josh hollered over his shoulder.
Danny leaned forward to find the crack between Nora’s and your’s seats. “How bad is the damage boss?” He asked directed at you.
“It’s… pretty bad.”
“EXCUSE ME, I can hear you.” Nora retorted turning to face Danny with cracker crumbs surrounding her mouth and chin.
“Oh lord.” Danny laughed as he fell back into his seat.
The yelling woke up the remaining sleeping members of the group.
“Well it looks like I am awake now.” Jake huffed as he glared in Nora’s direction.
“Cool it hot head. We should be landing soon anyway.” Josh popped back in response.
And that you did. With in about 20 minutes the wheels were on the Las Vegas tarmac.
“This is fucking gorgeous!” Nora said with her face plastered to the plane window. You laughed as you plucked her from her seat and handed her off to Danny who had collected their bags. Danny led Nora into the airport as you stayed behind to collect your bags with Josh. He grabbed his suitcase and placing his free hand on your waist as he followed you through the sky bridge.
“You are all mine now.” He whispered into your ear. You giggled as you walked to the gate. Josh took your hand leading you out to where the van was waiting to pick everyone up. The group loaded in, followed by a short ride to the hotel. Nora’s face was still glued to the window as she was drunkly entranced by the neon lights. The van pulled up to the front of a five star hotel.
“Holy shit.” You said with your jaw dropped as you entered through the revolving doors. You had never even dreamed of being able to stay at such a luxurious establishment. The lobby was the size of an amphitheater with twinkling lights and gold embellishments scattered tastefully through out. A beautifully decorated garden was placed in the center, with extravagant fountains around. Designer clothing and cosmetic stores could be found adjacent to the lobby with what looked like a dozen different high end restaurants.
“Don’t worry, I won’t let you get lost.” Josh said from behind you, snaking his arms around your hip. You lean into his touch as a you spin around to face him.
“I can not wait to see our room.” You whisper flirtatious into his ear.
He met your lips for a heated kiss before lightly tapping the room key to your nose. He took off running to the elevators. With out offering a goodnight to the rest of the group you quickly matched his pace as you followed him into the elevator.
“Which floor?” You ask as you looked at the dozens of buttons in front of you.
“Top.” He says with a grin.
“What?” You said in shock, knowing the top floor of this hotel was the penthouse.
“Only the best for my Honey.” He says as he swipes the room key to grant access to the top floor button.
The ride up felt like forever as you squirmed with anticipation. Eventually stopping, the doors slowly opened stealing the key from Josh you squeezed through before the doors were completely ajar. Running to the room you could hear him follow behind you as you flung the door open to find your bags had already been brought up. Two couches were arranged across from one another in a large seating area with a circular wooden table between them. On the table sat another bottle of champagne in an ice bucket, paired with half a dozen crystal glasses.
The room was huge with floor to ceiling windows covering a entire wall. You could see all of Vegas as well as the arena the boys would be playing at in a few days. The bed must have been a California king, covered with a red velvet duvet to match the red velvet couch’s.
Josh walked over to the bathroom flicking the light on before motioning for you to follow him. You skipped over entering into a large dark tile room with a bathtub the size of a jacuzzi. Mesmerized by the sights in front of you. The shower alone was the size of your entire apartment bathroom with gold fixtures and accents covering every inch.
The sound of the tub faucet running broke you from your trance as you turned to find Josh drawing a bath already stripped down completely with a throbbing hard on. You quickly did the same giggling as you threw off your shirt running over to meet him. His arms wrapped back around you, cupping your ass forcefully as he met you for a soft kiss. You could feel the smile on lips, pulling away slightly you looked up at him quizzically.
“What is it?” You said as you cocked your head at him.
“I have been picturing this moment for a month now, I am just happy it is finally here.”
Your hand met his cheek as you kissed him before slowly lowering to your knees and pulling your hair back. “Did you picture this?” You asked as your tongue met his tip, teasing him with small circles.
“I picture that every night Mama.” He chuckled as his hand met the back of your head. You took the hint and wrapped your mouth around him, finding your rhythm as he guided you to take in all of him. You felt him begin to twitch under your touch, his eyes fluttered shut as he grew closer to climax.
“Not yet sugar.” You said pulling off of him, but not before offering a few flicks for your tongue to his balls, causing him to whimper. You have him sit on the edge of the tub. He can’t keep his hands off of you as you sit onto his thigh, his lips begin desperately sucking at your neck and chest. His hand traveling down to your core to find your entrance his fingers tease you, causing you to let out a breathy moan.
“Such a good girl so wet for me.” He hummed praises into your breasts and his tongue twirled around your nipple. His hands meeting your hips as you rode his thigh eager for friction. Your slick leaving a trail as you shifted back and forth.
“I have been waiting for this moment all day. I need you, now.” You said through flustered moans. Josh quickly lifted your hips over his guiding him inside of you. “Fuck..” Mumbled out as you threw your head back. You had been pining for him since he arrived at your apartment that afternoon. You hid it well but you had been ready to get him alone all day. Once you had him you knew you wouldn’t last long.
Your quick rhythm rushed you into your climax, bracing yourself on his shoulders as he worked you through it. His pace grew slower and more gentle as he peppered your lips with kisses in between moans. “Don’t stop baby.” You instructed though you were overstimulated, you knew he was close.
“Fuck mama...” He grunted as he picked the pace back up. Your breath caught in your throat. Josh’s hand quickly meeting your exposed neck and placing it exactly where he knew you liked. “Y/N…” You heard as you felt him release his warmth inside of you, still pushing you through to your second orgasm. His grip tightened slightly throwing you over the edge, crumbling around him as you came again. Taking you in his arms as you both came down from your high. Meeting for another kiss before slowly stand to your feet. Josh spun around and settled into the tub, you crawled in with him. The warm water engulfed you as you found his arms once more, laying your back against his chest. His hand drifting up to your hair, rubbing small circles into your scalp with each of his fingers.
“Mmmmhmm.” You hummed as your eyes closed under his touch.
“What had you so hot and bothered today Mama?” He cooed into your ear.
You blushed slightly as you thought about your response. “If I hadn’t made us so late already I would have jumped your bones at the apartment.” You began to explain. Josh chuckled at your admission. “But then you called me your girlfriend… that… that did something to me.” You began to laugh with him. You sat there in his arms waiting for a response, but minutes passed and he continued to just play with your hair in silence. You turned around to face him. “I know we haven’t made it official, and thats okay… it just has a nice ring to it.” You said through nervous laughter.
“Would you like to be my girlfriend Honey?” He said in a similarly nervous tone.
“Hmm… I will have to think about it.” You said playfully as you stroked your chin giving your best thinking pose. He pulled you into a hug and tickled you lightly as you giggled in his arms.
“I would like it… for you to be my girlfriend… officially.” He said as he ceased his attack, still slightly nervous.
“Sugar, I thought you’d never ask.” Your lips finding his for a giggly kiss.
“Is that a yes?” He mumbled between kisses.
“Yes!” You shouted taking his face between your hands.
You continued to lock lips and giggle like teenagers until you turned into prunes. Slipping out of the bath you completed a simple night time routine together before cuddling up in the massive bed and drifting off to sleep.
Morning came much too quickly and the sun was not forgiving as it came through the thick glass. Thirsty from the events of the night before you got up to find water. Still naked you walked around to the drinks left out from your arrival. Locating a bottle of sparkling water you grabbed it by the neck and brought over to nightstand.
“Come back to bed Honey.” Josh said still half asleep as he made grabby hands at you.
You fall back asleep for a few more hours before you are woken up by Josh on the phone. Sitting up and rubbing the sleep from your eyes, he notices your movement from across the room and shoots you a wink. He is standing completely naked in front the windows with the sunlight dancing beautifully on his lightly tanned skin. Truly a breath taking sight.
“We will be there shortly.” He said ending the phone call.
“Sound check?” You asked as he made his way back to you.
“Band meeting, they want us there in an hour.” He said as he walked back over to the bed. “But you can stay here if you don’t feel up for it. I am sure the girls would come keep you company.” He said placing a kiss on your forehead before going to get ready in the bathroom.
“You can’t get rid of me that easily!” You said excited jumping out of bed to join him in the bathroom.
“It’s just a boring meeting.” He laughed at your excitement, finding it adorable.
“Maybe I am just excited to spend time with my boyfriend even if it is at a boring meeting!” You tease him as you sort through your things looking for something to wear.
You both keep it simple for the day since you knew you would be changing before going out that evening. Josh threw on his khakis, a long sleeve white shirt, and his tan jacket with his custom embroidery.
You opt for a pair of high waisted jeans, vans and an early Greta Van Fleet Merch hoodie you stole from Josh’s closet. Leaving your hair down you throw on some mascara and blush before heading out.
You meet the group at the van in front of the hotel. Surprisingly everyone was on time, though the majority of them were half asleep. The van took you to the venue, upon arrival you were all led into a large, modern conference room. The far wall of the room was lined with buffet tables containing a decadent brunch spread. Everyone made a small plate and headed over to the table to meet up with the bands team. The meeting went by surprisingly quickly, covering details of lighting, stage placement, set length and the official set list. You leave the table to grab seconds from the buffet. Returning to your seat, before you even sat down you could tell Josh’s mood was heated.
“What? Today?” Josh asked clearly upset.
“I know, I already tried to see if we could reschedule but its Metallica man.” Jake said, sympathetically placing a hand on his twins shoulder.
Josh quickly shrugged it off. Standing from the table, his gait was heavy as he walked out the door.
“What did I miss?” You address the group confused about Josh’s sudden change in mood.
“Metallica invited us to a dinner party on the strip tonight.” Sam explained with disappointment in his voice.
“We kind of have to go, at least show our faces for an hour or so.” Jake added in a similar tone.
“So what’s the big deal?” You ask still not understanding.
“The big deal is Josh had plans for the two of you tonight.” Nora chimed in. “Something he has been working on for a while.”
“Ohh…” You said rolling the situation around in your head.
“You should go talk to him.” Jake said softly.
You nodded and excused yourself from the table. Walking out the door you found the hall way you came in through, since it was the only one you knew you decided to start there. Out of the corner of your eye through a small window you spot Josh sitting out side smoking a cigarette. A habit he didn’t indulge in too often. Exiting the building, the sound of the opening door caused him to look in your direction. He quickly attempted to hide the cigarette.
“It’s too late, I already saw it.” You teased as you approached him.
“I am sorry Honey.” He said kicking his feet as he took another drag.
“For what?” You asked dotting his neck with small kisses.
“I have had this weekend planned for months. Now it is all fucked up.” He said taking the last drag of smoke before stomping out the rest.
“It hasn’t even started yet!” You say taking his hands in yours. “The way Jake made it sound, you won’t be gone for very long. We still have plenty of time to spend together before we fly home Monday!”
“I might be able to pull a few strings and get our reservations moved a little later.” He said resting a hand on your waist as your forehead met his.
“If not we can order room service and stay in for the night.” You say in a promiscuous tone.
“I will never say no to that.” He replied with a grin before placing a peck on your lips.
Once everyone was done eating you all returned to the hotel for the boys to get ready for their event. The girls had expressed a great interest in your room while at the meeting. You decided to invite them all up while Josh got ready.
“Danny better reserve this room for us next time!” Nora said as she walked through the door.
“It’s pretty insane, huh?” You said as you lead the girls in, giving them a short tour.
“And you get more champagne?” Hannah asked popping the bottle, and pouring a glass for each of you, as you all found seating on the couches.
Josh stepped out of the bathroom looking as stunning as ever. He wore the same outfit from earlier in the day, he just fluffed up his hair a bit and threw on his signature necklaces. “How do I look ladies?” He asked doing a quick twirl.
“Gorgeous as always Sugar.” You said shooting him a wink
“Like a goblin.” Nora shot at him. You quickly smacked her leg sharply in response. “Okay…Okay, like a well dressed goblin.” She corrected.
“Well this goblin is off to the ball, hopefully my carriage doesn’t turn into a pumpkin.” He laughed at his nonsense, as he walked over to you. “Maybe if you kiss me I become a prince?” He said leaning down meeting his lips to yours. You giggle at his ramblings as he exits the room.
“Now that it is just us girls, I have a surprise!” Jita said hopping over to the door to retrieve a canvas tote bag. She returned back to the couch holding the bag tightly to her chest. “Before I explain the contents of the bag I want you all to know there is no pressure or judgment here. If you do not feel comfortable I totally understand.” You looked at Nora and Hannah who had similar puzzled expressions on their faces. “As we all know the boys will be heading out on tour soon. Now long distance is nothing new for Jake and I but the rest of you haven’t had to experience it quite as much. Take it from someone who has been around the block a time or two it gets rough. But there are things you can do to help ease the hard times. Something Jake and I like to do is exchanging going away presents. We change it up each time but one of his favorites is… pictures.” Jita said as she pulled a Polaroid camera out from the bag. “Now I know this can be intimidating, but I thought while the boys are away we could do a little photo shoot, some going away gifts for our guys. I brought lingerie for everyone to wear, and it would be individual shots only of course, this isn’t anything weird!” She shook her hands defensively worried her words came out wrong.
“I think that sounds like a great idea!” Nora said quickly attempted to reassure Jita.
“I am in!” Hannah said.
“Me too!” You added.
“Oh thank god! I thought for a second you guys were going to think I was a weirdo.” Jita held her chest relieved. She handed you each a lingerie set and one by one you all got changed in the bathroom. Jita had picked out a red set for you. Something more bold than you would normally wear. A sheer lace balconette bra with matching panties and garter belt. Nora was in a similar set but hers was in a deep navy. Hannah had on a floral one piece with lace stockings, Jita was in a angelic white set with pink lace detailing.
Quickly everyone came up with posing and background ideas for one another. You all supported and gassed up each other so much it never felt awkward. It was so much fun and a great memory for you all to look back on in the years to come. One by one you all had your mini photo shoot.
“Oh grab the champagne bottle!” Nora instructed Hannah. She brought the bottle over and handed it to you. “Get in the tub!” Nora said all to excited.
“Nora I am afraid of where this is going.” You laughed as you crawled into the empty tub.
“You will absolutely be pouring that bottle on yourself, just not yet!” She chimed back.
You took a few shots holding the bottle, playing around with different poses and positions in the tub.
“Alright let that baby flow!” Nora cheered as you poured the bottle slowly over your chest and body. The cold bubbles tickling your skin, sending goosebumps down your spine. Jita continued to shoot until the bottle was empty. Finishing off the last pack of film, Jita set the Polaroids on the bed as they finished developing.
“I am going to shower and get ready for my date while you ladies clean up!” You said as you peeled yourself from the sticky bath tub. The girls did just that, finishing up right as you stepped out of the shower. They had all changed back into their clothing from earlier hiding the lingerie in the unsuspecting tote bag. They kept you company as you did your hair and make up. Josh had picked out a few dresses for you to pack so you laid them out on the bed and had them each vote on which one you should wear. They all voted for the black satin dress with rhinestone embellishments that Josh had bought for you just a few weeks ago. You slipped it on with your black strappy heels, finishing the look with a smokey eye and nude lip.
Jita had small decorative envelopes to place each of your pictures in once they finished developing. Each writing your boys name on the back of your envelope before placing your photos inside. You decided to stamp yours with a kiss, transferring your lipstick onto the paper.
Just as you finished tucking away your photos the boys came through the door. You all stayed seated at the couches waiting for them to join you. Suspicious smiles were plastered on all of your faces as the guys found seating next to their partners.
Josh’s hand meet your upper thigh as his whiskey scented breath whispered into your ear. “Mmm my favorite.” He hummed referring to your dress.
“What trouble did you ladies get into today?” Sam asked holding up the empty champagne bottle causing the you to break out into laughter.
“Wouldn’t you like to know!” Hannah teased back at him. He cocked an eyebrow at her with a quizzical smirk.
“I gave the girls some… relationship advice.” Jita said confidently.
“Ooo care to share it with the rest of us?” Danny asked, causing a fit of laughter from the girls.
“I think it’s better if I show you.” Nora said pulling her envelope from behind a cushion and handing it to him.
Jake shot Jita a devious look, instantly knowing what was inside of that envelope.
Danny opened it hesitantly, reaching inside and pulling out a small stack of Polaroids. “OH!” He said with wide eyes as he quickly scanned the photos before placing them safely back in the paper. “That’s some good advice, Thanks Jita!” He said nodding his head and holding two thumbs up in her direction, with a big goofy smile on his face.
Sam, Jake and Josh quickly opened theirs, almost ripping the paper out of excitement.
Jake’s hand met his mouth, dragging his fingers across his lips. Winking at Jita, causing her to giggle as she reached for his arm.
“Holy shit! That’s awesome!” Sam said completely in awe of the pictures in front of him.
“Oh Mama…” Josh said in a lust filled voice. He bit his lip as he tucked the photos back away. “Well Jita feel free to continue sharing any and all relationship advice, especially if it is as valuable as this.” He said holding the envelope up.
“You can’t give away all of our secrets.” Jake said coyly as he stood from the couch. “Alright lets give the lovers some space to get ready for their big date.” He added. Everyone said theirs good nights as they filed out the door. Closing it behind them, you find Josh back at the couch going through the pictures once more.
“Champagne and caviar anyone?” He smirked as he took his time examining each portrait. “I haven’t seen these before.” Holding up one of the pictures, referring to the lingerie set. His bottom lip finding its way between his teeth once more.
“Jita was nice enough to let me keep them… though they are a bit sticky now.” You teased pulling him up from the couch by his hands. Standing to his feet he met your lips with a warm kiss.
“We should head to dinner before I decide to eat you instead.” He hummed into your ear.
“I would normally take you up on that offer, but I am starving!”
Taking the elevator down to the lobby, Josh lead you through the extravagant garden over to where you noted the many restaurants yesterday evening. A Japanese style restaurant and lounge sat at the front of the hotel with a spectacular view of the famous fountain show. The hostess brought you to a small table perfectly placed next to a large window.
“You got here at the perfect time, the next show starts in 5 minutes.” She chimed as she placed menus in front of you before walking off. Looking over the menu neither of you could make a decision so you decided to share a few plates and a bottle of wine. Just as you place your order with the wait staff the fountain begins its roaring display. Josh took your hand as you looked out awestruck by the size and magnitude of the projected water. It was synced to cheesy pop songs that neither of you were very fond of, but gorgeous none the less. As the show came to an end your bottle of red wine was delivered to the table along with two large wine glasses. Taking a sip of the sweet wine, you lowered the glass to find him staring at you with his toothy grin.
“This is absolutely dreamy Sugar.”
“Only the best for my girl.” He said with nerves creeping up in his throat. You could tell something was heavy on his mind. The walk to the restaurant was much more quiet than usual. Brushing it off as nothing more than a bit of jitters for the up coming show.
“Though if I could change one thing, it would be the music!” You said in regards to the fountain.
“Tell me about it! Out of all of the beautiful music in the world they settled on that?!”
“At least give me something with a bluesy bass line!”
“Damn I love you!”
You both sip your wine as you propose a superior playlist for the water show. Josh’s tension still lingering in the background. The various plates ordered were served and covered much of the table. As you both dug into the food, Josh went over the schedule for tomorrow, much of the day would consist of concert preparation. Though a few hours were unaccounted for, hoping to slip away outside of the city for a small adventure.
Plates were cleared as you finished the food in-front of you. Josh insisted on dessert though you knew you couldn’t take one more bite. You slipped away to the restroom the wine having gone through you. As you returned to the table Josh was no longer in his seat. You glanced around to locate him, but you were unsuccessful. You sat alone for a few minutes, swirling your wine as you took in the view.
“Come here often?” He asked startling you slightly as he retook his seat.
“Sorry, I have a boyfriend.” You teased.
“He is one lucky guy.”
“Mhmm, he is.” You hum back before taking a sip from your glass, causing him to chuckle at you.
“I know you don’t want dessert, but…” He started to speak as you hear a waiter approaching from behind you. You turn around to see him carrying a tray with two full champagne glasses and a small dish of what appeared to be ice cream. “Close your eyes!” He said playfully flustered.
“Josh what is going on?” You ask as you shut your lids.
You hear the glasses fizz as they are placed in-front of you. The sweet aroma of vanilla bean teases your nose. Noting a sudden soft clink, as if metal was tapped on glass.
“Okay open!” Josh instructed.
You opened your eyes to see exactly what you had already seen on the tray.
“This looks lovely.” You say slightly confused as to why you had to close your eyes.
“Notice anything?” He said gesturing to the table nervously. You scanned the items in-front of you still unsure of what was happening. You cocked an eyebrow at him and shrugged. “Maybe you should take a sip of your champagne!” He said anxiously handing you the glass. You tip it back welcoming the bubbles past your tongue, you feel a cold metal object tap your lips. Placing the glass down you inspected further, finding a key sitting in the bottom. Still unsure of the meaning of the key you look to Josh for an explanation. “I know we have technically only been “together” for a day, but… I want you to move in… to Jake and I’s place that is.” His said shifting in his seat with a big grin on his face but his tone still uneasy.
“Josh I…” Shocked, you began to speak before he interrupted you.
“We will be gone for most of next year anyway. It seems like a shame for the place to sit empty in our absence. It will be all your’s, expect for when we stop in for a few days off here and there. Then it will be our’s.” He looked back at you for an answer with the warmest of smiles sitting on his face.
“Of course I will move in with you Sugar.” You said holding back tears of joy. He practically jumped across the table to find your lips. Your hands met his cheeks, they were flushed red and hot to the touch.
“That took way less convincing than I thought it would!” He said as he sat back down. The tension finally melting off of him.
“No convincing necessary! Though I do have obligations to Nora…” You added referring to your shared apartment.
“Already taken care of!”
“How so?”
“I told her she could move in too or I would take care of the rent for the remainder of her lease.” He explained nonchalantly. “She chose to move in, something about me not being able to get rid of her that easily.” He said through a laugh.
“I love you so much.” You squeaked out through your slightly intoxicated emotional state.
“I still love you more!” He popped back before downing his glass and taking your hand. “Now lets blow this joint baby!” He said theatrically as he lifted you from your seat.
The rest of evening was spent tangled between the sheets, taking your time proclaiming your love to each and every bit of one another’s bodies. Occasionally giggling as you discussed your excitement for living together. You did not have to think about moving in with Josh because he was your home.
The next morning slipped in through the windows once more. The sun gently pried your eyes open as you rolled over to find Josh spread out like a starfish, completely naked, ass up and snoring so loud you were sure the hotel across the road could hear him. You chuckled to yourself as you grabbed your phone to take a picture of such a spectacular site. *Click* Your phone shutter gives you away. Josh throws one eye open as you pull your phone behind your back.
“I heard that.” He mumbled playfully as his eyes closed shut once more.
“I am surprised you could hear anything over your snoring!” You teased back.
“I do not snore!” He retaliates jumping up with his finger pointed in the air.
“Whatever you say sugar! You should probably get back to sleep, you have a big night ahead of you!”
“I hope it end in a bang.” Shooting you a wink as he hopped out of bed and slipped into his jeans.
“I am serious Josh you need your rest!” You cross your arms as you watch him pull on a shirt and shoes.
“And miss such a beautiful morning with my Honey?” He said as he walked over to place a kiss on your cheek. “Get dressed, we are going for a drive.” Placing a short swat to your ass before he turned to walk out the door.
There was a state park he mentioned at dinner the night before. Assuming he was taking you there you found some comfortable and warm clothes. It was a bit chilly that day though the sun was shining with not a cloud in the sky. Quickly you get dressed and complete your morning routine.
“Cars here!” He chimed as he walked back into the room right as you finished slipping on your shoes. Once more you returned to the lobby, this time he lead you out the front doors to the valet to find a black two door jeep wrangler. The valet tosses him the keys as he runs over to open your door. Offering you a hand as you step up into the lifted vehicle. Taking the drivers seat he begins navigating north. The landscape suddenly transforms as you leave the city. Flashy hotels being replaced by towering desert formations and yucca plants as far as the eye could see.
“How long is the drive?” You asked as watched the sunlight glow around his profile.
“About 45 minutes.” He answers as you search Spotify for some good driving music. Settling on An Evening with John Denver. The Music is You gently fills the car, your gaze still glued on him as he softly sings along. The scenery, his angelic presence, the orange glow of the morning light and the beautiful music flooded you with warmth and comfort. “It’s beautiful out here.” He spoke sweetly over the next song.
“Mhmm it is.” You hummed back through a grin, eyes still glued on him.
“Honey, are you even taking in the view?” He giggled as he questioned you.
“I am taking in my favorite view.” You cooed back as his hand pulled yours up to his lips for a drawn out kiss.
Entering the park the terrain transformed into vibrant shades of red, pink and orange. Mountain goat herds greeted the morning sun off in the distance. He slowly drove you through the winding black top roads of the park. Your eyes drifting from his face to the breathtaking landscape.
“Let’s get a few shots.” Josh said pulling out his vintage film camera as he parked off the main road. Slipping from the car into the chill morning air was exhilarating. You walked together until he found the perfect angle. Shooting for a few minutes at a time you start to wonder ahead of him on the trail. Enveloped in the energy of the desert you lose track of time. Coming out of your trance you turn around to find Josh has been filming you.
“I am not camera ready!” You chirp hiding your face behind your hands playfully. He runs over to you, as he turns the camera on to himself. Once close enough his lips meet yours for a passionate kiss, camera still filming. You pepper his lips with kisses and continue to hide your face this time in the crook of his neck.
“Don’t be shy Mama, the camera loves you!” He exclaims, returning to filming the scenery. He grabs a few more shots before you return to the Jeep.
“My turn!” You grab the camera from him as you hop back in your seat. He had shown you once or twice how to use it, fumbling through the mechanics you managed to start filming as he took the drivers seat. Flashing you a goofy smile before starting the car, he gave a theatrical performance of what you could only explain as a 1950’s instructional video on how to start a car. The car filled with laughter as you finished your drive through the park and eventually back into the hustle and bustle of sin city.
The day passed quickly. Returning to the hotel with just a few minutes to spare before having to head down to sound check. Sound check took longer than normal as they adjusted the sound to best fit the colossal arena. The guys were clearly nervous, Danny could hardly stand still, bouncing his leg and flicking his drum sticks. Josh was pacing around the stage, while Jake fumbled a few notes. Sam though attempting to maintain his cool exterior was babbling more than normal, a dead give away to his nerves.
“Fuck.” Jake grunted after hitting the wrong chord.
“I think it sounds great!” Hannah attempted to lighten the mood. She was sitting on the floor in-front of the stage with the other girls. Josh had asked you to go to the upper bowl and make sure the sound quality was still up to par there as well. The guys wanted the show to be enjoyable for the entire audience not just the fans on the floor.
Sam called you to confirm everything sounded okay.
“Sounds great!” You exclaimed over the speaker of his phone. “You guys look so little from up here!” You teased.
“That’s how Josh always looks.” Jake added, easing some of his tension.
“You do realize we are the same height?” Josh questioned his twin.
“Can I come down now?” You giggled over the phone.
“Meet us in the green room, Honey.” Josh said through the microphone echoing against the walls of the empty building. Following instructions you made your way to the green room. As you explored the hall ways, posters for the nights event were displayed on every wall. The bands cases were stacked up around every corner. You noticed Josh’s wardrobe sat out side of the green room door. You entered the room to find Jake and Sam seated across from one another at a table, legs bouncing as they sip on a little liquid courage. Danny and Nora were tangled together on the couch, attempting to nap.
“Where are the other three?” You asked Jake as you walked up to the table.
“Dressing room.” He said with an eye roll, pointing a finger towards a silver door across the room.
“He can’t make up his mind about which jumpsuit to wear.” Sam let out a tired chuckle.
“Frontman behavior…” You tease walking up to the metallic door. It flies open before you could even get another word out. A panicked Josh was at one end of the room, still dressed in his clothes he had slipped on that morning. Hannah and Jita stood around a clothing rack filled with his custom jumpsuits.
“Thank god.” Hannah mumbled under her breath as she moved to exit the room.
“Good luck.” Jita whispered as she followed Hannah out the door.
Josh shuffled through his wardrobe pulling a gold jumpsuit and a red jumpsuit. “Which one?” He asked flustered as he held up both options.
“Neither!” You responded quickly.
“Honey, I am serious. I can’t go out there naked.”
“I don’t think anyone would complain if you did.” You hummed flirtatiously scanning your finger along the hangers in front of you. “Ah here she is!” You exclaim removing a black velvet jumpsuit from the rack. Adorned with gold detailing that compliments the outfits of the other three boys.
“I wore that last time we played with Metallica.” He half objected.
“Great minds think alike my love.” You cooed walking over to him to hand off the garment. He leaned in stealing a peck before pulling away to let out a big yawn. “Now that the wardrobe crisis is resolved, can I convince you to take a nap before hair and make up?” You asked stroking a hand through his curls.
His head leaned into your touch as his eyes closed blissfully, “You have been known to be pretty persuasive.” He hummed.
With the green room couch already occupied by Danny and Nora, you sneak out of the room and down the winding arena hall ways in search of a room with a couch or something soft to sleep on. Josh opens doors behind you while you go slightly ahead to keep look out.
“Victory!” Josh cheers too loudly as he finds a storage room filled with various chairs, tables and couches. You shush him as you run over to join him, locking the door behind you. You locate a few table cloths to use as blankets while Josh pushes two couches together to make something resembling a bed.
“How glamorous.” You teased climbing into your make shift napping location. Josh following your lead snuggles up next to you wrapping you both in the fabric table cloths.
“As long as you are by my side I will sleep like a baby.” He said through another yawn as he nuzzled his head into your neck. With is seconds he was asleep. You set an alarm on your phone before dozing off with him.
“Grab these tables!” You heard a mans voice yell over rattling keys as the door clicked unlocked. Josh grumbled and you quickly threw a hand over his mouth to tell him to keep quiet. His eyes met yours and a grin formed under your palm. A couple of men and women walked into the room, the couches you had chosen sat at the back of the room, behind a stack of chairs, making it so you could not see them and they could not see you. A few tables are shuffled out and you hold your breath as they lock the door once more after exiting the room.
“Pffff” The air you had been holding in your lungs rushes out along with laughter. You remove your hand from Josh’s mouth and he too finds comedy in the situation. Giggling like two teenagers who had just been caught kissing under the bleachers. Checking the time on your phone you realize you had slept through your alarms. With several missed calls from Nora and Jake you open your text messages.

From Jake
I am going to assume you are both dead, if not, you will wish you were.
“Shit we over slept and Jake is sending death threats.” You groaned showing Josh the string of text messages.
“That’s just a normal Friday for him!” Josh teased getting up from the couch before offering you a hand. He popped his head out of the door, looking around to make sure the coast was clear. Once confirmed he waves for you to follow him out of the door. You follow his lead tiptoeing down the hallway until you approach the green room door. You press your ear to the door but hear nothing.
“Oh you are fucking dead!” Jake approaches behind you, grabbing the back of Josh’s shirt into his fist, while the other hand finds your shoulder.
“Jake its my fault…” You started to explain.
“No, it’s not…” Josh interrupted.
“I don’t care whose fault it is! Get your ass in there and get ready! We are on in two hours!” Jake shoved Josh lightly as you opened the door to the green room and filed in. Sammy and Danny were already dressed with hair and make up done. Jake was also already wearing his suit for the evening. Jita, Hannah and Nora were all dressed to impress while you remained in your leggings and Sherpa jacket you had thrown on that morning. You took a seat in the chair next to Josh as the stylist took over prepping him.
“I love your look for tonight.” Nora teased as she pulled on your jacket.
“I guess I forgot a change of clothes.” You shrugged.
“There is still time to head back to the hotel and change.” Jita explained.
You did just that, quickly taking the van back to the hotel with the girls you slipped into one of the outfits Josh had picked out. It was the black slip dress you had worn to the first concert in nashville. Pairing it very similarly to how you did that night you added black chunky boots, and gold jewelry. You spiced up your make up look a bit with gold eyeshadow and winged liner. Nora saved some time and helped style your hair down. Once ready you rushed back to the venue with 20 minutes to spare before the boys were to take the stage. Finding four reserved seats on Sam’s side of the stage. All of you vibrating with anticipation as you waited for the boys to take the stage.
“Here we go!” Jita chimed in response to the lights dimming.
Danny came out first as always, followed by Sam and Jake. You stood from your seat to look over at side stage just as Josh was walking out. His gaze searching for you until his eyes met yours, blowing you a kiss and handing security a rose to save for you. He took the stage grabbing up the remaining bouquet of white roses along the way. As the other three began to play Josh tossed roses to the crowd. The familiar intro to Heat Above came across the speakers as the whole crowd erupted into cheers. A truly ethereal experience. The crowd feeding off of the music and the band feeding off of the crowd. An exchange of musical energy you never grew tired of watching. Their entire set had goose bumps spread across your body. As they left the stage, security ushered you to the side stage to meet them behind the curtain. Josh now drenched ran to you like he had done so many months ago this time a white rose in hand. Picking you up and spinning you around until his feet lost their rhythm. The two of you crash to the ground in a fit of giggles. Danny offered you each a hand up, laughing at your antics.
“That was magical!” You cheered as you followed the group back to the green room, one arm tightly wrapped around Josh and the other around your first rose. His hair was damp with perspiration much like the rest of his body. The velvet jumpsuit clung to his skin a little tighter and a bead of moisture dripped deliciously down his exposed sternum. You bit your lip watching him as you entered the green room. He left your side to grab a bottle of water. Tilting his head back to chug down the cold liquid, exposing his neck, veins still dilated from the excitement of the evening. Adams apple bobbing seductively with each gulp. You had it bad and you needed him, now. You watched his hands closely as they placed the lid back on the bottle, wishing they were on you. Josh took note of your hyper focus and flashed you a quizzical smirk. “Is it hot in here or is it just me?” You teased, fanning yourself with your hand. Josh caught on, his tongue finding its way across his bottom lip as he walked back over to you.
“Hopefully the box has better air conditioning than the green room!” Sam responded.
“Box?” You questioned.
“Yeah, we reserved a box to watch Metallica’s set!” Danny chimed.
“Great…” You mumbled under your breath. Not thrilled with the idea of waiting any longer to get Josh alone. Josh let out a flustered chuckle at your slightly bratty behavior.
“Help me take my jumpsuit off Mama.” He whispered as his hand grazed up the delicate slit at the front of your thigh.
“Mmm my pleasure.” You hummed following him into the dressing room, his hand now migrating further up the dress as you close the door behind you. Pressed up against the door his hand reaching towards your core. You are dripping for him. His fingers delicately pull your thong down to your thighs. He gets on his knees in-front of you taking the elastic band between his teeth as he guides them off of your legs, tossing them across the room. His eyes grow dark as you look down at him. His hands walk back up your legs until one meets your core and the other the swell of your ass, pushing up the skirt of the dress just enough to gain access. His lips take their time as they slowly place kisses on the inside of each thigh until burying into you. Your hand flys down to his still sweaty hair, offering a small tug, that triggers a moan to slip from his lips and vibrate into your sensitive bud. Teasing your entrance with his fingers while his tongue works over your clit. His fingers glide into you effortlessly, curling them to hit the perfect spot. Your knees buckle but he takes his free hand to support you at your hips. Soft moans escape through your bitten lips.
“That’s a good girl, staying quiet for me.” Josh cooed into your inner thigh before returning his tongue to your core. His pace was slower now, he was taking his time with you, which normally you would find romantic, but today it felt like torture. Exactly his goal.
“Josh I need you.” You groaned desperately still tugging at his curls.
“I know.” He cooed deviously as he removed his fingers from your core, dripping in your slick. He stood to his feet placing one hand against the door as he leaned over you. “Open Mama.” He commanded. You did as he said opening your mouth to let his wet digits in. Once the pads were flush with your tongue you closed your lips around them, sucking them clean. His eyes watched you with intent as his breath hitched in his throat. Opening up once more to release him, he pulls his fingers out leaving a string of saliva suspended between the two of you. He wipes your lips with his thumb before hovering his face just above yours. You can taste his breath and feel his radiating warmth.
“I am going to give you what you want but I need you to keep your usual pretty noises to a minimum for me. Can you do that?” He said keeping his eyes locked on your lips.
“No promises.” You said flustered as you leaned in towards his lips. His hand quickly meeting your chin, taking it between his thumb and forefinger.
“Don’t get bratty with me love, we don’t have time for that right now.”
“I’ll be quiet I promise.” You said crashing your lips into his. His tongue meeting yours while your hands traveled over the soft black velvet of his jumpsuit, stopping once they found the zipper that ran down his toned stomach. With his lips still locked with your, his arms shimmied the sleeves off of his shoulders as you pulled the zipper as low as it would go. He made quick work pulling it down and kicking it off one leg at a time. Only leaving your touch for a second to pull it over his feet. He stood there in front of you glistening in sweat, rhinestones still adorning his rosy cheeks, curls wildly sitting on top of his head. “You are so pretty.” You whispered taking a step closer to him. A blush spread across his face.
“You’re the pretty one Honey.” He cooed hiding his face in your neck. “Now be a good girl and turn around for me.” He said with a small nip to your neck, followed by a soft kiss over the soon to bruise flesh. You did as he said, turning around and lifting the dress up over your hips. His hands traveled gently over your curves before landing a heated palm across your ass. You bit your lip once more to keep in your excitement. He grabs his rock hard cock in one hand while the other one snakes around your hips to meet your pulsing clit. “Are you ready Mama?” He teased through shaky breath.
“You know I am, don’t make me beg.”
“Oooo we may have time for that.” He said as his finger began slowly circling your bud.
Giving into his game, “Please I need to feel you inside of me.” You begged.
“You are so good for me.” He said while peppering kisses on your shoulder as he gently entered you. You held your breath in an attempt to keep quiet. He felt you relax around him as you took him all the way in. Finding his rhythm, you braced yourself against the cold metal door. Your head fell between your shoulders giving you a nice view of his hand still busy on your clit.
“Fuck…” Slipped from your lips as ecstasy took over your body.
“You feel so damn good...” Josh moaned as he threw his head back. His pace grew faster and you could feel his hips falter as he was close to his climax. With every thrust you could hear Josh’s sweaty skin slap against your ass. Though it was music to your ears, the rest of the group quickly cleared out of the green room once they caught on to the activities happening on the other side of the dressing room door. A deep growl poured from Josh’s mouth.
“What happened to being quiet?” You teased.
“Fuck that… I want to hear my pretty girl come..” Josh managed through heated grunts.
As if his words were magic, you spilled over into your orgasm. Your breathing uneven, a string of curses left your lips followed by, “Josh.” Sweetly falling from your flushed mouth as the waves crashed over you.
“That’s it Mama.” Josh said working you through your high. Your legs began to shake from the overstimulation. Josh took note pulling out but continuing to stroke himself. “Can you do one more thing for me good girl?” He hummed as you turned to face him. You knew exactly what he wanted. Getting on your knees in front of him you pulled your hair back with one hand while the other found a spot on his hip. Your own slick dripping between your legs as you stuck out your tongue in anticipation. With a few quick strokes his warm cum met your tongue. Josh’s lust filled eyes were locked on the sight infront of him. You took down every last drop then licked him clean before returning to your feet. Josh placed gentle kisses on each of your cheeks followed by a lingering kiss on your lips.
“So… is this our new after show tradition?” He said into your ear followed by a nervous chuckle.
“Defiling green rooms across the nation.” You teased, parting from him to find your panties across the room. Josh followed your lead locating his clothes from earlier in the day. Putting on your clothing each of you freshen up in the mirror, Josh fussed with his hair while you fixed yours. Josh’s hands paused mid fluff as he caught site of you in the mirror. A small amount of him still left on your face. He walked up behind you, placed his head on your shoulder before snaking an arm around your side. He shot you a grin in the mirror as his thumb wiped across your bottom lip. Taking his thumb to his mouth he licked it before wiping his now damp digit across your lip once more, making sure it was clean. Placing a kiss on your cheek he took your hand.
“Are you ready my love?” He cooed into your ear as he guided you out of the green room towards the upper level of the building where the private boxes were located. Security stood in front of the door checking badges to grant access into the room.
Having forgotten your badges Josh approached the tall bearded security guard, “Hey man, my girl and I forgot our passes, but I am the lead singer for the opening band. My brothers are in there now.” He said pointing at the door.
“I’ve heard that one before buddy.” He scoffed and rolled his eyes. Turning around you were about to head back to go collect your badges when you caught sight of Sam, walking down the hall way with a bottle of tequila in hand.
“Hey!” You hollered getting his attention. Sam shot you a goofy grin as we waddled over to meet you. “We forgot our badges, mind helping us out?” You asked with a chuckle.
“Classic!” Sam laughed as you all approached security once more. “They are with me.” He said shooting finger guns in true younger sibling fashion. The guard avoiding eye contact quietly opened the door allowing the three of you to enter. The suite was massive, fully catered with a well stocked bar. Though apparently not having the type of tequila Sam preferred. “Care to do the honors?” Sam asked handing you the bottle.
“Absolutely not.” Josh intercepted the bottle before it reached your fingers. “My girlfriend is not your full time bartender.” Josh directed at Sam who held up his hands in defense. A blush grew across your face. You didn’t mind making drinks for the group. Most of the time you enjoyed being the bands bartender. It was fun and the guys loved to try the new and sometimes strange drinks you would throw together. Thought this protective side of Josh was endearing to say the least.
“Girlfriend?” Jake shot from across the room with a smug grin creeping up on his face.
“I have heard him say it a few times on this trip.” Danny chimed in with a similar cocky smile.
“Took you long enough!” Nora teased Josh as she walked over to grab a drink.
“I think I hear wedding bells!” Sam said playfully motioning with his hand to his ear as if he heard something off in the distance.
“Or possibly a crying baby?” Jake continued to tease. Causing a blush to grow across Josh’s face as well.
“Y/n’s birth control is putting in over time!” Nora added. The group now rolling with laughter as they poke light hearted fun at your relationship.
“Alright thats enough!” Josh said through his own laughter. “You can all just FUCK OFF!”

You're Growing Up, I'll Watch You Bloom
Had the urge to write some brotherly fluff, and this little blurb took off on me. Baby sam makes my heart ache, almost as much as big brothers Jake and Josh.
Words: 3.6K
Summary: The twins help their little brother prepare for his first date, feeling nostalgic and proud of the young man he's becoming.
Warnings: None, absolutely tooth rotting fluff.
Tumblr media
The garage door bursting open suddenly had the Kiszka twins practically throwing their beer cans behind the couch they lounged on. They let out a comically synchronized exhale of relief when Sam frantically marched in instead of their parents. Not that Karen and Kelly would have particularly minded them having a drink, but at 4pm on a school night without asking? That may have caused some issues.
Sammy frantically paced around the garage, hands ripping through his shaggy hair. “Oh god, oh my god, oh my GOD, oh my god…” He wove mindlessly between instruments, around discarded soccer balls, half climbing over Josh’s leg, mumbling to himself panicked. Jake and Josh watched him swarm around them in confusion and mild amusement.
Finally Josh cleared his throat. “Uhhh… Sam? Y’alright?” Sam shook his head profusely, still pacing around. Jake managed to grab his brother’s arm and impatiently pull him to the couch between himself and Josh. “Will you relax? What’s the matter?” Jake craned his head.
Josh gave Sam a few brotherly pats on the back as Sam forced his mind to slow down.
“I asked out Katie,” he blurted, Jake and Josh raising their eyebrows in surprise and turning to each other behind Sam’s slumped frame.
Sam had liked this Katie girl for months. She was a kind girl, pretty. She’d visited their house a few times to play basketball with them or play video games. The twins thought she was a good fit for Sam, but they didn’t realize she liked him back. Sam however made his feelings abundantly clear. Every time he was in the same room as this girl, he was a stuttering, clumsy mess. Josh even found a crumpled-up piece of paper with her name doodled between hearts. The twins had watched Sam enter middle school and transform into a teenager, knowing it would be their job to guide him through the trials and tribulations of becoming a young man.
Jake broke the stunned silence. “Okay… what did she say?”
Sam buried his face in his hands and groaned. The twins cringed at each other, preparing to comfort him after the rejection he clearly just faced.
“She said yes.” Jake snorted, shoving into Sam’s side with his shoulder. “Why’re you so upset then?”
Sam looked up at him with wide eyes. “Because now what do I do? I didn’t think I’d get this far, I’ve never been on a date, I have no idea what to do, I-“ he flopped back with a groan. “I’m gonna embarrass myself and she’s gonna hate me.” Sam shook his head, staring at the garage ceiling with a look of accepted defeat.
Josh interjected with a hand on Sam’s shoulder. “No you won’t, Sam. Because we’re gonna help you. Right Jake?” Josh shot Jake a pointed look. Jake chuckled and held his hands up defensively. “Of course we will.”
Sam nodded quietly, “Okay,” secretly incredibly grateful for his big brothers.
The next four days passed in an anxious but excited blur, and before Sam could even process the fact that he had a date at all, Saturday arrived. Sam was awake and tearing through his closet not two minutes after his 8:00AM alarm beeped.
Jake and Josh were unfortunately collateral damage in the abundance of thuds and bangs emanating from their little brother’s room. Josh sighed deeply, crabby from being woken up, but trying to remember when he was Sam’s age to summon some sympathy. Tossing his blankets aside, he climbed out of bed and padded over to the next room, rubbing his eyes. He knocked on Sam’s door softly, pushing it open at the soft “c’mon in.”
Josh let out a surprised giggle at the tornado of clothes strewn across Sam’s floor and bed. “Y’know you don’t have to wear everything you own, right?” Sam turned from his position in the closet to shoot Josh a glare. “I have nothing to wear,” he huffed, another shirt hurtling past Josh’s head. Josh looked around, picking up a sweater. “This is mine, you little twerp-“ Josh pinched the bridge of his nose. “Sammy stop- stop” Josh jumped across the heaps of clothes to grab Sam’s arm gently. Sam whipped around, and Josh immediately dialed back, seeing his little brother’s eyes welling up. Josh sighed, giving him a reassuring smile. “Lets talk in the garage, yeah?” Sam inhaled deeply and nodded, following Josh out.
It went unsaid that Josh’s suggestion of the garage had more than one benefit. Firstly, it got Sam out of his room, and away from the disaster zone that was once his closet. Secondly, the walk gave Sam a chance to cool down and collect himself. Third, the two of them grabbed muffins from the kitchen on the way down, because growing boys meant big appetites.
And finally, it meant their conversation would go unheard by Jake. Everyone knew Jake loved Sam, just as much as Josh. Jake would take a bullet for his little brother at the end of the day. But Josh handled these delicate matters of the heart with more patience and TLC than Jake would, and while Sam knew he’d never make fun of him, he still felt more comfortable talking to Josh alone about his problems.
Josh flopped on the couch, peeling the paper off his muffin. Sam joined him with a sigh. “So, brother Sam, talk to me.”
Sam rolled his eyes. “I just couldn’t decide what to wear, and I freaked myself out because I-“ Sam paused, looking down into his lap, willing himself to keep cool. “I just don’t wanna screw this up, I really like her, Josh.” Sam finished with a whisper, blinking up at his brother.
Josh felt a pang of nostalgia, Sam’s big brown eyes looking up at him so innocently, searching for comfort. He’d seen those eyes many times as they grew up, when little Sammy’s trike tipped over and he scraped his knee, and when his favourite action figure’s batteries died, and when he got pushed down on the playground at school. Each time, Josh had been there for him, as had Jake when the situation permitted, to fix the problem, to beat up the bully, to be the big brother Sam needed.
And now that same Sam, with the same hopeful anxious eyes that were so similar to his own, looked up at him, once more needing his help. Josh felt a rush of protectiveness, and nodded once resolutely to himself.
“Okay, buddy, let’s get you ready for this date then.”
Sam smiled hopefully, nodding. The younger sibling tucked his knee under him on the couch to face the elder, taking a bite of his muffin.
“Well first things first, where are you gonna take her? Let’s hear the game plan,” Josh mirrored the position.
Sam shrugged, “I was thinking the mini-golf course behind the mall, the one-“ “-with the prizes and stuff?” Josh finished for him, nodding his approval. “Very romantic, I like it. You can talk freely but it still gives you something to do with yourself. Make sure you win her a teddy bear or something, she’ll love that.”
Sam nodded and continued, “Then I was thinking we could go see the ducks at that pond, the one with the trail through the woods?” Josh raised his eyebrows, nodding his head forward in surprise and approval. “Jeez, Sam, I’m taking notes here. You’ve really thought this through, why’re you so worried?”
Sam chewed his lip for a moment. “I’m scared its gonna be awkward. What if she doesn’t like that stuff, or what if there’s nothing to talk about? Or what if she doesn’t like me that much. Or even worse, what if she does like me? Then what, Josh?” Sam implored.
Josh cracked a small smile. “The horror, a girl you like liking you back,” he teased.
Sam rolled his eyes. “Shut up, I’m gonna go back upstairs-“ he went to stand. Josh laughed and grabbed him, yanking him back down into place. “I’m done, I’m done.” He held up his hands.
Sam huffed. “Seriously, how do I know if she likes me?” Sam took another bite of his muffin, gesturing wildly and mumbling through his full mouth.
Tilting his head and thinking, Josh answered as best he could. “Well, first of all, she said yes to the date. That’s a pretty good sign,” he chuckled. “But in my experience-“ Sam snorted, Josh shooting him a glare, “in my experience, when girls like you they smile more, they laugh at your jokes even when they aren’t funny… some girls play with their hair, or bat their eyes, yknow? They usually try to touch you or be near you a lot more.” Josh shrugged. “Stuff like that.”
Sam nodded, pensively. “Seems pretty… subjective,” he noted.
Josh nodded, “Yeah, girls can be tricky. But I think if Katie likes you even half as much as you like her,” he smiled teasingly, “you’ll know it.”
Sam blushed and took another bite of his muffin, chewing in silence. Then he spoke so quietly that Josh nearly missed it.
“What if she wants to kiss me?”
Josh looked at his little brother, who was trying exceptionally hard to appear nonchalant and failing miserably. He held back his chuckle, knowing not to laugh at a sensitive topic like this.
“You ever kiss a girl before?” he asked gently.
Sam sighed and shook his head no, slumping more. Josh nodded and placed his hand on his brother’s back, rubbing gently before pulling his hand back. “That’s okay, Sam, seriously, don’t get in your head about it.”
Sam glanced up at Josh for a brief moment. “Have you?” he asked timidly. Josh giggled at his question, “I mean yeah, but I wish I hadn’t honestly.”
Sam smiled then, looking up at him for real. “Really? Why?”
Josh cringed dramatically. “You know Tammy? Long brown hair, short, kinda nasally voice?” Sam nodded, his face spreading in a mischievous smirk. “The one in the, like, wind ensemble? Braces?” Josh nodded. “Yeah. Her. This one time we were at some dude’s house, just chilling in the basement, and some idiot suggested spin the bottle, right? And of course, mine points right at her.” Josh snickered at the memory. “Well the wire snapped off her braces and cut my lip open. Wouldn’t stop bleeding, I finally just went home.”
Sam’s eyes widened, “That wasn’t from a soda can?”
Josh shook his head, and Sam burst into laughter. Josh smiled, surprisingly enjoying his brother laughing at his misery for once, if it made him feel better. Sam calmed down, giggling, “God, that is awful. Well Katie doesn’t have braces, so I think I’m good.”
Josh snorted, “Yeah, one less thing to worry about.”
They finished their muffins in comfortable silence. Just as they were about to go upstairs, Sam turned to Josh again. “Is… I mean, do I…” He furrowed his brow, his cheeks flushing. Josh waited patiently, and he finally blurted, “Howdoyoukissagirl?”
Josh patted his shoulder. “Samuel, my brother, when the time comes, it’ll come to you. I promise.”
Sam groaned. “That doesn’t help at all.” Josh snickered, “Well you sure as hell aren’t practising on me,” he shoved his shoulder. Sam retched and started heading inside. “I’ll ask Jake, he’ll know better.”
“Hey!”
Josh left Sam to his own devices in his room, feeling better after their chat. Being a teenager, and it being Saturday, he flopped back in bed and was snoring in minutes. As one twin crashed once more, the other was just waking up. Jake crawled out of bed, snorting at Josh’s bedhead and drooled-on pillow. He yawned, remembering Sam’s big date, and much like Josh did, went to knock on the door of Sam’s room.
He pushed inside as Sam was re-folding half of his entire wardrobe. Jake looked round at the slightly more tidied chaos, shaking his head in a “okay then” manner. He sat on Sam’s bed, cocking his head at his little brother. “What’re you doing?”
“Finding something to wear,” came the huffed reply. Jake nodded, eyes trailing around the room casually.
“Was the nuclear bomb a part of the search orrrr…”
Sam biffed a bundled pair of socks at Jakes head, Jake catching it with ease, laughing softly.
Sam sighed, and Jake leaned forward. “What’samattah, kid?” he twanged.
Sam looked up at him. “You’re good with girls, right?”
Jake nodded with a ‘suppose so’ look on his face.
“What would you wear mini golfing?” he asked hopefully.
Jake smiled at his little brother’s question. Though he wasn’t as good at admitting it, he secretly cherished these moments with Sam. He knew Josh handled matters of the heart better, but he selfishly missed it when Sam’s moments of need for his big brother became fewer and farther between. He’d always felt an incredibly strong brotherly urge to look after him, he was just a little less… coddling in his methods. It didn’t mean he loved being needed any less. Sammy would always be his little brother, and he'd always be there for him alongside Josh.
“Uhhh,” Jake scanned the clothes that surrounded him, “what about this?” He picked up a thin brown sweater, standing up to grab a pair of black jeans on the dresser. He offered the outfit to Sam with raised brows. “Casual, sharp, comfortable, and brown looks good on you,” he shrugged.
Sam smiled, compliments rare from Jake’s lips. “Yeah, okay. Thanks, Jake,” he said as he stood up. Jake waved a non-committal hand with a matching smile.
“Oh, and wear those vans you just got, they aren’t filthy yet,” he advised, sitting on the bed again. Sam chuckled, nodding. He placed the outfit on the bed, scratching his chin and looking around.
Jake watched him think, leaning back on his hands. “So uhhh… mini golf, huh?” Sam nodded, eyeing Jake. He only nodded with a reassuring smile. “Sounds like a great date, Sammy boy.” Sam smiled, “yeah, I hope so.”
Jake felt a buzz in his pocket then. Glancing at his phone, he scanned the text from Josh, no doubt eavesdropping in the next room. Rolling his eyes but following his twins suggestion anyway, Jake sat up. “You uhh… wanna talk about it?”
Sam furrowed his brow. “What, the date?” Jake nodded. Sam paused, then nodded, sitting beside Jake on the bed. He flopped on his back. “What do you do on dates?”
Jake flopped beside him, both boys looking at the ceiling. Shrugging, Jake thought. “Well, movies are easy, but you don’t get to talk. I actually really like the mini-golf thing, might steal that,” he tapped his knuckles against Sam’s shoulder. Sam smiled, “That’s what Josh said.”
Jake laughed, “Yeah, okay, well he’s gonna have to find a girl to take first.”
Both brothers dissolved into laughter, the atmosphere brightened considerably.
“What else?” Sam turned his head to look at Jake.
“Well, girls like ice cream, I take them to the ice cream parlour usually.” Sam nodded, “then what?” Jake smirked and rolled his head to look at Sam. “I’ll tell you when you’re older.”
Sam snorted and shoved his shoulder. “Gross, you know you aren’t getting past first base with that rat mustache.”
Jake’s jaw dropped, amused at the sass. “You little twerp,” he chuckled.
After a moment, Jake snickered, “no you’re right. I haven’t.” Sam rolled his eyes. “Duh. But you’ve kissed girls right?”
Jake nodded. “Three.” Sam bucked his eyes at his older brother. “Three?”
Jake laughed, “Yeah, well, only one that was any good. First two were so awkward, I don’t like to think about it. Third one was with that Justine girl, y’know, that girl that always watched all the games I played?” Sam nodded. “Yeah, she was really pretty.” Jake smirked, “Smokin’,” he nodded in agreement. Sam rolled his eyes and smirked.
The younger brother sat up, followed shortly by the elder. “Guess I should shower,” Sam pondered. Jake laughed, “Unless you want to make her cry.”
Sam shoved Jake back onto the bed and headed to the bathroom. Jake thought as the water turned on, looking around Sam’s room. He didn’t come in there very often, except to take back his stolen clothes or stuff. He stood and looked across Sam’s messy dresser. He sighed at the lack of options for accessories, or cologne, or anything beyond a box of Kleenex and a few ripped up notepads really.
Dipping into his room, he grabbed his favourite cologne that he knew Sam stole occasionally, a brown leather watch that would match the sweater he picked out, and a fresh stick of deodorant, having noticed the crumbled and destroyed state of his brother’s.
He set the items on Sam’s bed beside the selected clothes and went back to his room, joining Josh for another hour’s sleep.
Three o’clock found the three Kiszka boys gathered around the porch. Sam was due to meet Katie, who lived down the street in a few minutes, and the twins corralled the young one for a few last minute tidbits of advice.
“Tell her she looks pretty, even if you don’t like what she wears.” “Make sure you pay for her snacks.” “Don’t touch her too much, but hold her hand if she wants.” “If she kisses you, don’t shove your tongue down her throat.”
Sam’s eyes darted back and forth between the twins as they traded off advice, getting increasingly dizzy with the flurry of information. He ran a shaky hand through his hair, attempting to get a word in edge-wise.
“Guys-“
“Let her win at mini golf, but don’t make it obvious.”
“Guys, I-“
“Pull her chair out for her when you sit down, too.”
“GUYS,” Sam shouted. The twins jumped at the outburst but quieted down.
Sam sighed nervously. “Too much, too fast.” Josh rubbed the back of his neck with a smirk. “Sorry, buddy,” he chuckled. “Just trying to help.” Jake nodded in agreement, and Sam shuffled his feet.
“Yeah, I know,” he nodded. “I guess I should get going-“ Sam froze, eyes widening in panic. “I forgot flowers! I forgot to get her flowers!” His hands flew to his head, cringing at his stupid lapse in memory.
Josh simply smiled as Jake quickly trotted over to the fridge. “Don’t worry, we got you.” Jake returned, handing Sam a bouquet of Karen’s fresh garden flowers. While Sammy had been getting dressed and ready, the twins hurried outside and snipped the fresh blooms, knowing Sam would forget.
Sam stared for a moment, not knowing what to say. He hesitantly took the flowers, looking back and forth between his big brothers. Then he flew forward and wrapped his smaller arms around Jake and Josh in a tight hug. The twins stood shocked for a second before squeezing Sammy back just as tight. The three of them stood like that for a few moments, and Sam finally mumbled, “I love you guys.”
Then Sam stepped away, and he was out the door, and walking up the street.
The older two watched him leave through the window, and Josh sniffled quietly. Jake turned to his twin as Josh wiped his watery eye with his sleeve. Catching Jake’s eye, he smiled bashfully. “Shut up.” Jake snorted, “I didn’t say anything!” They snickered, heading out to the garage to jam a little while their brother was out. Nothing more needed to be said, they both knew the other was just as proud of Sammy and just as nostalgic.
The streetlights had been on for some time when Samuel creaked open the front door. Blindly, he tiptoed his way around furniture and up the stairs, avoiding creaky boards and misplaced shoes, finally pushing open his bedroom door with a relieved sigh. In the clear.
So he thought.
He flicked on his bedroom light, and caught himself just before he screamed, jumping out of his skin at the appearance of his older brothers sitting side by side on his bed, casually looking right at him.
Hissing quietly to not wake his parents, “What the hell are you doing in my room?”
Josh bounced excitedly on the bed. “We want details!! How’d it go?” he whisper shouted.
Jake rolled his eyes with an indulgent smile. “Oh, and we covered for you, by the way. Told mom you were in bed already. You owe us, twerp.”
Sam’s heart rate returned to normal as he kicked off his shoes and flopped in the beanbag that he pulled from the corner of his room. “Thanks,” he mumbled.
Josh wiggled impatiently. “So??”
Sam’s face lifted from his lap with a tiny, self-satisfied smirk. The twins’ eyes bucked, urging him to spill. His smile widened and he shrugged, looking exceptionally pleased with himself.
“She kissed me,” he finally indulged.
Josh shot up, fisting the air with a whispered “Yes!!” while Jake smiled proudly, nodding his head. “That’s my boy!”
Sam giggled quietly as the twins celebrated in hushed excitement.
Settling down, the older brothers interrogated him for every detail of the nights proceedings, laughing and patting him on the back when appropriate. The Kiszka brothers talked well into the night, teasing and bickering, swapping stories and secrets the way they always used to. As the clock ticked the evening away, the boys found themselves tangled on Sam’s double bed, their chatter becoming softer and sparser.
When Karen stuck her head in the door the next morning, only to find her three boys cuddled up, snoring soundly on Sammy’s bed, she couldn’t bring herself to disturb the precious moment. Snapping a quick picture on her phone, she let her boys rest.

Human Error (Part 2)
Dean Winchester x Reader (gn)
A/N: I wrote the first part of this ages ago and at the time never intended to do a part 2, but quite a few people requested and I figured maybe it was time I did. You gotta give the people what they want at the end of the day right?
Warnings: Sacrifice, alcohol, angst, upset, mentions of torture
Word count: 2,121
Tumblr media
Dean groaned as he rolled over in bed, squashing his face into the pillow. Every moment made him nauseous, and the stale taste of whisky and beer didn't help. At some point he knew he'd have to move from the bed and clean himself up, but that meant facing a world without his brother, and he wasn't ready for that yet.
The pounding on the door that had woken him repeated itself. "Y/N, I told you to get the hell out of here. I swear to god I will murder you with my bare hands the second this hangover eases up-"
"Dean?"
The grumbled Winchester seized up mid sentence as the door cracked open and a voice he never expected to hear blew through. His breath halted and he gulped, squeezing his eyes shut tight. Sam had only been gone a day, and he was already hearing his voice. Maybe it was just the alcohol, but even so, Dean needed to relish in the moment. The realisation that he'd never hear that voice again sent a lone tear cascading down a dry cheek.
"Dean get up."
He couldn't. If he did, if he turned towards the door, he knew he'd see nothing. The illusion would be gone. He would no longer be able to pretend his brother was still alive, come to pester him about being in bed so late in the day, or scold him for getting passed-out drunk, or lure him in on a new hunt.
"DEAN!" A hand gripped his shoulder and thrust him round onto his back. With a gasp at the sudden movement, Dean's eyes sprung open wide and stayed that way as he stared in horror at the face hovering over him. With a scramble, he pulled himself up, backing into the headrest as he grappled for his gun and thrust it forward.
"What are you?" He hissed, his voice shaking slightly. Try as he might, composing himself in front of the creature taking shape as his dead baby brother was increasingly hard.
"It's me, Dean."
Sam stepped back to give Dean some space, his hands in the air in a mock surrender. He looked pale and just as shocked as his confused brother, which only made matters harder for Dean.
"Two nights ago you had a sex dream about Jennifer Lopez. You couldn't get your dick down for hours after, and you made me tell Y/N that you had stomach ache thats why you wouldn't leave your room. They didn't believe me, by the way."
At the sound of your name, Dean started to tremble with anger. His hands shook as he tightened his grip around the gun.
"Y/N killed you. I saw it with my own eyes. I held you as you bled out."
Sam nodded. "Yeah, but it was an accident. And now I'm back. Y/N-"
The younger Winchester didn't get a chance to finish his sentence before his brother leapt at him, embracing him tightly and burying his head into the wispy hair hanging against his neck.
"Fuck, Sammy," Dean breathed, finally letting the emotions overcome him. Sam chuckled.
"Christ man, you stink. You've gotta lay off the booze for a while, I'm telling ya."
Dean smirked as he pulled away, one hand still tighter on Sam's shoulder. He nodded, clearing his throat. "Yeah, well, I was mourning and all that. Look, I gotta tell you, I didn't bring you back. I dunno what, or who, did, but it wasn't me."
"I know," Sam glanced down at his shoes shamefully, shifting slightly. Dean cocked his head, sensing something was up.
"Y/N did."
Dean blinked. "What?"
Sam nodded, gulping back tears. "One minute I was bleeding out with you screaming down at me, the next I was standing in the middle of a crossroads and Y/N was behind me. With a demon."
Of course. Of course Y/N had made a deal, that much should have been obvious.
"Dammit, I'm gonna kill them," Dean mumbled as he threw himself out the door and down the corridor, tumbling through the tunnels like a tornado.
"Y/N!" He bellowed as he sped towards your room, Sam hot on his heels, trying to get him to slow down and stop for a moment. By the time he'd caught up, Dean had halted in your bedroom doorway, panting as he stared wide-eyed at the empty space.
Your bed was unmade, clothes tossed across the floor like usual. All of your things were still there - including your weapons. It was a particular one that had caught his eye; a 1950s pen knife he'd given you when you first moved into the bunker and wanted to learn how to fight properly. He'd been hesitant to give you a proper weapon, but you'd become so attached to the little item that even now, as a seasoned hunter, you never left it behind.
"Dean..." Sam hovered behind his brother, sadness in his eyes as he let him stumble in slowly towards where the knife lay on the bedside table.
"No no no no no," Dean mumbled, shaking as he approached it tentatively. He took it in his fingers, turning it slowly as though it were a fragile diamond. He gripped it tight as his other hand came up trembling towards the unmissable folded white paper that had lain beneath it. Dean knew what this was gonna be, and opening it up would make it all real. But as his eyes blurred with tears, he knew he had to.
Dean,
Please don't be mad. I can't take it if your last memory of me is filled with anger. What I did was right - after doing so much wrong, I finally did something right. And I don't regret it. I never will, because it brought your brother back, and theres nothing more right than that.
The time I have spent with you boys has been the most amazing experience, and I'm so incredibly grateful that you took me in and treated me as one of your own. I finally had a friends, and thats something I never, ever, thought would happen.
Fuck that. You're more to me than friends. Sam, he's a brother to me. Thats why I couldn't let him die, especially at my own hands. The world needs him to keep it sane, to patch up its wounds, to give it hope. He's a clear blue sky, and I'm a raging wildfire. I know which one I'd rather live alongside.
And you, Dean...god. I can't say you're like a brother, not really. Because I love you. I guess I can just come out with it now that I'm not around to feel your rejection. But I do, and I always have, and you deserve all the happiness in the world. It destroys me to know that means I can't be there in it, but I would sacrifice my own happiness over and over again if it guaranteed your own.
I'm sorry I just left without a goodbye, but lets be honest, I couldn't risk you trying to stop me. Not when there was so much on the line. I know you and Sam have both been where I'm going, and I know its horrible, but I don't want you to try and get me out of there. I'm going to make sure its a tight deal so you can't. I won't be in pain, not as long as you two are safe and together. Knowing you hate me for what I did to Sam is killing me already and I know I deserve what is to come. I can only hope that one day you can forgive me. Nothing can hurt as bad as this.
Keep fighting, Dean. And keep your brother safe. Forgive me. I love you.
I love you.
I love you.
A sniff broke Dean out of his trance as he turned round slowly to Sam, who sat perched on the end of your bed, tears rolling down his cheeks. They remained like that, frozen in time, for what felt like an eternity. You were gone, and you weren't coming back.
Dean was filled with so many emotions. Gratitude, that he had his brother, his soulmate, back by his side. Anger, that you had gone behind his back to do something so reckless. Guilt, that he had driven you to do so. Despair, that he had never said it back.
"I love you too," he whispered under his breath. "I'm so sorry Y/N. I never should have let you go, I - I should never had said those things. It was never your fault, nothing was ever your fault, how could it be? Fuck Y/N, I forgive you, of course I forgive you, I'll always forgive you...please, its me who needs to be forgiven, oh god, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." his knees buckled as Sam jumped up, his arms wrapping around his big brother and guiding him onto the bed. He held him tight as they cried together, Dean finally letting the tears fall freely and his body wracking with breathless sobs.
"They know, Dean. Deep down, Y/N knows that. I'm so sorry you never got the chance to tell each other yourselves. I'm so sorry I got in the way of that."
"No," Dean shook his head profoundly, pulling away and taking a deep gasp of air. "Dammit, they never should have gone and made a deal like that, but lets be honest, I would have done the same. I have done the same. Y/N is right; we're better together, no matter what. I can't do this life without you Sammy, and thats not breaking news."
He cleared his throat, trying to compose himself. He glanced down, still fisting the knife and stroked its tip. Your sacrifice would haunt him forever, but he understood, and he refused to let your legacy die in vain. Right then, right there, Dean swore that every monster he ever killed he would do in your name, with your knife in his pocket, and you by his side.
-
You finally let the boy down off the rack after 6 hours of torture and he slumped to the floor before two demons could scoop his collapsed form up and carry him back to the cell. As you wiped your blade of his blood, you closed your eyes to re-centre yourself. You'd stopped asking why these innocent children were thrown down to the darkest depths of Hell a long time ago. Knowing wouldn't change anything, and it certainly wouldn't make you feel any better.
"Y/N," you paused at the familiar English tone, wiping your crimson hands on your thighs before starting to rearrange your various collection of sharp objects. You'd felt this day coming for a while now; although you were now a seasoned torturer of around 5 years you'd been conscious to keep note of how slow time passed on Earth. And you knew that any day now Crowley would come knocking.
"He's back?" You refused to turn, continuing with your organising.
"A few days ago now. Went straight to see Squirrel, as you would expect. They had a lovely reunion. I didn't realise you'd left a note, either. Nice touch."
You didn't say anything, just focused on your hands as you tried to keep yourself composed. You felt Crowley take a step towards you, his breath close to your neck and brushing the hairs on end.
"You should know that they understand what you did. Even Dean. He forgives you, both for killing his brother and for sacrificing yourself. Guess he of all people understands the strange way the world works. Your act hasn't gone unnoticed, Y/N."
"But they're together again, Sam and Dean?"
"Yes, those pesky Winchester brothers are reunited and back to their troublesome ways thanks to you. All that deal making and a lifetime of torture, I really don't think it was worth it-"
You barged past Crowley, refusing to look at him. You could feel yourself about to explode; you'd waited for years for the day when you finally knew if your deal had been successful and for the confirmation that order had been restored. Knowing that Sam and Dean were back together made every last tortured soul worth it.
"Oh, and Y/N?" Crowley called out just as you reached the door. You froze, fingers brushing the handle, staring straight ahead.
"He loves you too."
Without a seconds hesitation, you continued forward, closing the door behind you defiantly. As you stormed down the hall, you couldn't help but let a soft smile grace your face for the first time since you'd been condemned.

Payback Is… Scary - Danny Wagner
Tumblr media
A/N: I don’t care what anyone says, SPOOKY SEASON IS HERE, BABYY! I absolutely love Halloween and all the freaky shit. Anyways! Without further rambling, let’s kick spooky season off strong with our Danny boy.
WARNINGS: Fake blood, fake weapons, Daniel being a menace, semi-scary pranks.
Hopefully I didn’t miss any errors!
••••
Oh, October… Your favorite, but equally most hated month of the year. But, for pretty good reason.
You loved the fall weather. The beautiful, changing leaves that decorated the ground. The decorations, the candy… you loved it all. Halloween included.
However, the one thing you detested just a little about this time of year, was your boyfriends increasingly wild Halloween pranks.
Ranging from creepy old masks and jump scares… To getting in cahoots with Sammy, to create absolutely horrifying scenes that you would come home to sometimes after work.
If there was one thing Danny so shamelessly enjoyed, it was getting a good, genuinely scared reaction out of you.
Even though he could be a little much, you could never stay mad at him. His boisterous laughter and proud smiles always made your mini heart attacks, at least MOSTLY worth it.
~
It was yet another crisp, fall morning. Slightly overcast, so the sun wasn’t shining in through your bedroom window the way it normally did in the mornings.
You rolled over sleepily, in search for Danny’s warm body to cuddle into.
Throwing a hand over to his side, only to be met with a cold, hard object… That was also baring some sort of wet substance, that your brain, in it’s still sleepy state wouldn’t fully process.
Your eyes shot open, a shrill squeal sounding out of you as your eyes adjusted and fixed on the skeleton, messily covered in fake blood that laid in Danny’s spot.
You shoved it off the bed frantically, scrambling out of your own side. You examined the fake blood also covering your arm, with a panicked expression.
Suddenly, soft snickers could be heard out side of your door and after a moment or two, those snickers became loud laughter.
“Jesus christ, that was too good!” Danny popped around the corner, coming into view in the doorway. “Your reactions just get better every time, babe!”
“Danny!” You huffed, trying to sound angry. There was no denying that your reaction was just a little funny, though. “You’re an ass…” you grumbled.
He walked towards you with a sympathetic, but still cocky smile, holding out a dampened washcloth for you to clean yourself off with.
“How did you even set all that up without waking me…?” you wondered out loud, taking the rag from his hands gratefully.
“Baby, you could sleep through a tornado… It wasn’t very hard.” he
teased lightly, leaning down to place a few kisses to your cheek. He was very much right about that. You were quite the heavy sleeper.
“Do you ever worry that one of these days, I’ll decide to get you back?” You questioned, glancing up at him with a mischievous smirk.
“Please,” Danny scoffed, shaking his head. “You don’t have the equipment for that.”
“Oh?” Your tone was slightly offended.
“You don’t even have a good sidekick,” Danny added, only seeming to be half joking.
“I think I could easily find a sidekick better than Sam.” you challenged, cocking a brow up at your boyfriend. The challenge was completely empty, but he didn’t need to know that.
“Oh, really?” He chuckled in disbelief. smiling down at you cockily. You decided just to shut down the whole game.
“No, not really. I couldn’t possibly do better than you, babe.” Your tone lended a slightly sarcastic edge, but now left Danny with the impression that you wouldn’t do anything to get him back.
“Glad you know who runs the games around here.” He smirked, leaning down to capture your lips with his.
“Get off your high horse and get ready.” you giggled, rolling your eyes at him.
“Oh, right… I kinda forgot.” Danny smiled sheepishly, fully remembering that he had to meet Sam at the studio, so they could record some parts together.
“Too busy trying to be a fucking prank master,” you mumbled, turning him around and lightly shoving him towards the closet for some clothes.
~
After cleaning up the fake scene Danny had created and sending him on his way to the studio, you were left with the place all to yourself.
You showered up and got dressed, deciding to clean up a few little things around the apartment.
It didn’t take very long - Before you knew it, you were pretty much done. The only thing being left was to take out the trash.
You walked to the kitchen, heading straight for the trash can to pull out the bag. Upon reaching it, your eyes landed on the decently sized, plastic skeleton. You stared at it for a moment, a grin pulling at your lips as the gears in your brain began to turn.
You had no intentions of even bothering to get him back, but now that you were really thinking about it…
But, before you could get too carried away and sidetracked with your little… well, rather big plan, you went ahead and took out the trash.
Once you returned inside, you went straight for your phone and immediately searched for Jake’s number.
He surprisingly picked up within just a couple of rings.
“Hey, bug!” Jake’s enthusiasm, along with the nickname he’d given you very early on in your friendship, always and without fail put a smile on your face. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah, Jakey. Everything is fine. I just wanted to see if you would help me with something…” you started, pulling your bottom lip between your teeth in attempts to quell your rapidly growing excitement.
Another voice was heard in the background and within seconds, Josh was greeting you through the phone. “Hey, Y/N!”
“Josh is here, too, obviously. If that’s okay…” Jake chuckled.
Those two were inseparable. But that made it even better for you.
“It’s always okay!” you smiled, waiting for Jake to acknowledge your call for help.
“Anyways- what do you need my help with, bug?” he asked curiously, sounding ready to do anything you needed him to do.
“Well, actually… since I have you both here, I could use you both.” You told them, knowing Josh would go with anything. “You know how Danny has been doing all these crazy stunts trying to scare me?”
Jake and Josh gave a “Yeah,” in unison that made you giggle. They would always swear up and down that they never said the same things at the same time, but really, they did it quite often.
“And you also know how he gets Sammy involved, too?” you asked.
“Oh, yeah… Sam has been trying to get Jake and I, but he hasn’t succeeded yet.” Josh huffed a laugh. “Bastard,” He added, mumbling.
“Right, well I’ve kinda got an idea to get him back. That’s what I needed you guys for…” you finished, hoping that they would agree to it.
“I’m in.” Josh spoke up first, Jake following shortly after.
“Count me in, too… As long as I get to watch.” Jake laughed, clearly eager to get a load of his brother (hopefully) getting scared shitless.
“Oh, you’ll get to watch. I think I’m gonna have you both mainly doing the scaring.” You explained, and cheers of their excitement came rumbling through your phone.
“Even. Fucking. Better!” Jake was obviously smiling as he spoke. He and Josh settled down a bit, before he asked his final question. “I’m assuming you need us to come over?”
“Definitely,” you answered. “Can you both be here in half an hour?”
“We can be there in twenty.” Josh said matter of factly.
“Great! Bring those clown masks you two have, too.” You told them, remembering that they had dressed up as clowns just a couple Halloweens back.
“And wear all black.” you added, before you all said your “See you later’s” and hung up.
While you waited on the twins, you decided to gather everything you needed.
You started by searching through your closet for different clothes. changing into an old t-shirt from high school and old leggings - pieces you didn’t mind ruining.
It took you a while to find the fake blood you knew Danny had tucked away somewhere in the house, but eventually you found that, too. Finding it inside an unsuspecting box, shoved deep inside the closet of his music room.
More like forty-five minutes went by, before Jake and Josh were finally pulling into your driveway.
You had texted Danny, asking him how long he would be gone, spouting a lie about dinner plans to keep him completely unaware of your real plans.
Not even waiting for either of them to knock, you unlocked the door and pulled it open quickly.
“Gosh, excited much?” Josh laughed. coming up the stairs of your porch.
“That and you two are late,” you pointed, pulling him into a tight hug.
“Well, we figured we’d grab a few more things.” Jake grinned, coming up behind Josh. He held up a black duffel bag and you smiled giddily.
“I don’t know what your plan is, but we’ve got a damn good one, bug.”
You hugged Jake and then the three of you all went inside, piling into yours and Danny’s kitchen.
Jake tossed the bag up on the counter, flicking his eyes from you, to the bag. “Look inside.”
“I feel like I’m part of a goddamn drug deal.” Josh mumbled, as you grabbed and unzipped the bag eagerly.
You pulled it open, both clown masks sitting on the very top. Discarding them, you dug deeper inside it. Your jaw dropped upon landing on the fake, but somewhat real looking knives in the bottom.
“Guys…” You looked up from the contents in front of you, glancing between the two of them skeptically. “I was NOT gonna go quite this far.”
“Oh, come on!” Josh hit his hand against the island. “All you have to do is cover yourself in that fake blood, and lay out in the floor or whatever..”
“Yeah,” Jake chimed in gesturing to his brother. “Josh and I will take care of the rest.”
You eyed them both silently, tugging at your bottom lip with your teeth nervously.
“How many times has Danny pranked you now?” Jake questioned, breaking the silence.
“More times than I can count…” you admitted, shaking your head.
“Exactly!” Jake pointed a finger at you, like you’d just nailed the hammer on the head.
“This is only fair, Y/N.” Josh added, smiling wickedly at you and Jake.
~
“Danny just said he’d be here in fifteen minutes,” you told Josh and Jake, picking up the bottle of fake blood.
“Okay, here’s what’s gonna go down-“ Jake started, tucking his black shirt into his pants. “We’re all gonna start in you and Danny’s room. As soon as you hear the door open and shut, I’m gonna shove you into the wall -still carefully of course- and you’re gonna scream as if one of us cut you.”
You nodded, letting him know you were keeping up.
“After that, you’re gonna run down the hallway screaming for Danny-“
“We’ll throw some fake blood down the hallway before, just to make it look real.” Josh threw in, making you giggle at his need to get that detail in.
“-Right, yeah.” Jake resumed. “Josh and I and gonna come down the hallway after you, but we’re gonna go straight for Danny instead.”
“He’ll get so scared he’ll piss himself, then that’s where I’m sure you’ll break character and give it all away.” Josh jested, and Jake cackled with him.
“Hey!” You huffed, even though you knew he was right. “Who said I would break character first?”
“Come on now, bug.” Jake gave you a look as if to say “Really?” and you sighed.
“Whatever,” you mumbled, dousing yourself in more fake blood. You placed it mostly around your shoulder, as though that’s where you were cut.
“This better be the best performance of your li-” Josh started to tease, but was cut off by your phone ringing.
Jake snatched it up and you were well on your way to protesting, before he explained his actions.
“It’s Danny, but you can’t answer it. Let him wonder why you aren’t picking up.” Jake said, letting the phone ring on.
“Oh,” you dragged out, understanding him. “That makes sense.”
Your phone dinged no sooner than the ringing had stopped, and Jake flashed the screen towards you.
“Be home in five,” you read out loud, looking from the phone back to Jake.
“Right, let’s get this show on the road.” Josh clapped his hands together, disappearing down the hallway.
Jake tossed your phone down on the couch, gesturing towards another bottle of fake blood. “Bring that, and sprinkle some of it down the hallway as we go through, okay?”
“Got it.” You spoke confidently, picking up the bottle and following after Jake towards your bedroom.
Jake flipped off a few lights on the way through, giving an eerie, late evening glow to your house.
You unscrewed the lid, tilting the bottle to let drops of the fake blood hit the hardwood floor, making a trail all the way down the hall until you reached your bedroom door.
You stepped inside, almost- but not quite closing the door all the way. Josh was already getting ready.
“You ready for this?” Jake asked, taking his mask and knife off the bed.
“As ready as I can be..” You said a little nervously, heart pounding away in your chest.
“Quick, dump some of that down your arm and in your hand.” Josh told you, pointing at the bottle you were still holding.
You did as he said, dumping the red liquid down your arm as though it was seeping from your “cut” shoulder and pooling in your hand.
“Perfect.” Josh said, just as the three of you heard a car door close outside. All three of your heads snapped up at once, looking at each other frantically for a split second. Jake was the first to recover.
“Quick! Let me have that and cut off the light.” He ordered quickly, reaching for the bottle of blood. He dumped some of it on his knife, smearing what was left all over his hands.
The three of you stayed as quiet
as possible, listening closely for the Danny keys entering the front door.
Like clockwork, his footsteps could be faintly heard coming up the front steps, and Josh threw up a single finger, counting off.
Next, the keys were heard and the door opened and Josh held up a second finger.
“Babe?!”
The front door closed and Josh mouthed three, signaling for you and Jake to go for it.
Jake grabbed you, shoving you to the wall, but used his hand to slam loudly against it for the noise. You screamed, shocking yourself and both boys with how real it sounded.
“NO!”
“Let go of me!” You screeched, adding on another scream of fear.
“Y/N?!” Danny was obviously scrambling around in the other room still, sounding extremely panicked.
Jake stepped back and yanked the door open. “Go!” he whisper-yelled.
You ran down the hall, somehow managing to fill your eyes with fake tears of pure panic and horror.
“DANNY!” you yelled, sprinting down the hallway towards him.
“Danny, please! Don’t let them get me!”
Once you reached him, he was as pale as a ghost, a mortified expression that you hoped you would never see again, taking over his face.
“Who, baby?! Let who get you?!” He rushed out, catching you as your flung yourself into his arms for the dramatics.
On perfect cue, Jake and Josh came storming down the hallway, hidden by their clown masks and holding their weapons high.
“Oh, FUCK?!” Danny yelled, scrambling to haul you towards the front door. “FUCK!”
Jake and Josh stayed just on your heels, but had no intentions of catching either of you. Danny didn’t know that part, though.
Danny flung the door open so hard. you were worried it would break the hinges, stumbling and causing you both to come roughly falling down against the wooden porch.
“Get up! We have to run, NOW!”
Danny was beside himself, hurriedly and clumsily getting up after your not-so-little wipe out. While you on the other hand, were stuck still laying against the wood of your porch, overtaken with hysterical laughter.
Josh and Jake sprinting out of the front door, stopping to watch the scene unfold before them, seeing that Danny had his back turned away from them.
“Get your ass up, Y/N!” he yelled, grabbing at your shoulders.
But you were like putty in his hands, stomach forming knots and muscles contracting from how hard you were laughing.
“Wha- Why the fuck are you laughing?!” he questioned, flipping you on your back.
About that time, Jake broke down, doubling over in loud cackles that the whole neighborhood could probably hear.
Josh didn’t take long to break character either, losing it as soon as Danny whipped around like a tornado to face them.
“What in the fuck?!” Danny’s face went red in confusion and embarrassment.
Josh pulled his mask off, only to fall into even more boisterous laughter, now having a good view of Danny’s face.
“Un. Fucking. Believable.” Danny hissed in disbelief.
You, and now Jake, were both holding your stomachs, on the ground with tears pouring down both your bright red faces.
“Yo- Your…. Your face!” You pointed at your boyfriend, head falling back and eyes squeezing shut as you continued to laugh hysterically.
“Shut- Shut up, I can’t breathe!” Jake pleaded, high-pitched giggles still flowing out of him along with Josh.
“You all are fucking awful.” Danny groaned, rubbing his hands over his face.
“”You don’t have the equipment for that!”” Josh quoted what Danny had said to you just hours ago and Danny’s eyes blew wide.
“Oh, you little fucking menace!” Danny laughed, genuinely shocked at what you just accomplished.
“I… Oh, fuck-“ you breathed, trying to catch your breath.
“I learned from the best, sir.” propped up on the wood floor, you gestured as if you were bowing.
“And you two!” Danny said turning around again.
Despite him going to scolding Jake and Josh, he was finally smiling a little. “How dare you!”
“You’ve gotten Sammy into all this prankster shit! It was only fair!” Josh defending, throwing his hands up.
Holding on to the railing just in case, you mustered up the strength to pull yourself up.
Danny walked over to you scowling, knowing good and well that he had been served a piping hot cup of revenge, and it burned him good.
“Wanna call this a truce?” Danny asked you, looking up at you with soft eyes.
“Boo,” Jake dragged out, giving a thumbs down. “What a baby, already calling truce.”
“Don’t do it, Y/N! The fun is just starting.” Josh spoke, encouraging you to challenge him.
“No…?” You really thought it over for a moment.
“No. I say let this declare war, Daniel.”
“Fuck yeah!”
“Yes!” Jake and Josh cheered together, having a little celebration of triumph.
Danny leaned in with narrow eyes that held a mischievous twinkle, making your stomach turn deliciously. Seeing your challenge with an extension of his hand, that you very confidently took, shaking it firmly.
“If war is what you want, war is exactly what you shall get, baby.-
He dipped his head down closer, breath hitting your ear and you shivered. “-But I hope you know, this isn’t just limited to Halloween anymore.”

Some character exploration and headcanons as I write the Vos Possession AU:
Adventure trio my beloveds… [similarly to my last infodump, these are headcanons for the game, but are all canon in my AU]
// Jack: team leader //
weapon: sword 🗡️ (alternatively fists)
very headstrong and sometimes gets too caught up in the moment to realize something is happening
has a perfect sense of direction, survival instincts, and tracking capabilities
—Extras:
-Sea Temple leaves him with tinnitus, PTSD, and a partially blinded left eye
-used to wear more red apparel (where he got the nickname Velvet Tornado) but has since switched to colors that reflect his fallen friends (Vos- blue, Sammy- beige)
// Vos: enchanter / healer //
weapon: potions 🧪
inventory management (often overpacks for adventures just in case)
can enchant items without an enchantment table, only needs the lapis (knows all enchants by heart and can read/write the font)
—Extras:
-has cold hands, is very cold in general (always wears warm outfits no matter the temperature)
-fascination with sea lanterns
-developed photophobia while in the temple and was much more talkative pre-Sea Temple adventure
// Sammy: navigation / explorer //
weapon: bow 🏹
often built makeshift abodes for the three to stay in temporarily during adventures
very knowledgeable about biomes, mobs, and cartography from years of being an explorer with Nurm
speaks fluent Villic (they translate when the group enters a village)
—Extras:
-has a journal used to catalog flora/fauna from her expeditions
-collects plants
Interactions:
Jack and Vos have been adventuring together since they were young and are essentially inseparable, rarely going on adventures without the other (have matched experience and have saved the other’s life)
meeting Jack was the reason Sammy decided to take up adventuring in favor of exploring (inspired her to get out of comfort zone)
Vos was teaching Sammy to make tipped arrows (the potion in her inventory was from him)
Sammy introduced Vos to the concept of wrapping his hands (+ his leather boots were a gift from them)
Sammy usually has to keep the other two in check, but on occasion would need assistance from Vos to convince Jack not to do something reckless
Extras:
—The trio liked taking turns picking places to go adventuring:
Jack usually planned adventures around treasure hunting or thrill-seeking. (Dude treasure-hoards like a dragon.) He liked to test his limits and improve his abilities at any opportunity. If the other two were having trouble, he’d always be there to help them. These adventures were always challenging, but in a fun way (until the Sea Temple.) Favorite biome: desert / mesa.
Vos adored visiting ancient ruins and kept a stash of artifacts of unknown value. He also liked finding treasures, but would usually give them to Jack. On occasion, these locations would turn out to be more perilous and dilapidated than anticipated. Favorite biome: ocean.
Sammy usually picked places that were less dangerous to keep Jack and Vos from burning themselves out, but never strayed from thrill-seeking if she knew the other two were fine to handle it. Neither liked to admit when they needed a break: (Jack out of pride, Vos out of embarrassment.) Sammy would take every opportunity to teach the two about the world around them on expeditions, especially reminding Jack to slow down and appreciate the places he visited. (Rather than seeing everything as a challenge to be beat as fast as possible.) Favorite biome: jungle.
—All three have vastly different expressions of speech:
Jack is no stranger to cursing, loves making puns, and often uses Minecraft metaphors/similes
Vos’ exclamations of excitement are almost always references to poetry (“Callou, callay!” or “Frabjous day!”) and he prefers using nonsense words in substitute of cursing
Sammy often uses botany terms for expressions and they don’t curse either
—Structure Block preferences: (if they had made it to the final room in the temple)
Jack and Sammy would have voted to take the Tower of the Warrior.
Had the events of the temple not gone awry, Vos would have voted to take the Wall of the Builder. However, after being trapped in the obsidian cages for so long, when he finally sees the structure blocks, he likely would have avoided the Wall of the Builder at all costs.
—I associate the three with land (Jack), sea (Vos), and sky (Sammy). No idea why.
—Similarly to the Order of the Stone, if I had to assign them ores… Jack- gold, Vos- lapis lazuli, Sammy- iron or diamond, and Nurm- emerald.
—Nurm didn’t accompany the trio during the initial adventure to the temple. He only found out later upon reuniting with Jack.
If any of y’all want to snatch these for any reason, feel free! Credit is optional- enjoy ^^
