Like so much of this episode relates to the current opioid crisis. So many people started using these drugs because they were legitimately in health trouble and then they got addicted and dumbasses like Wesley running around like "why did you even take it? why would you take something that would stop your constant pain from broken bones or ruptured organs or cancer treatment if that substance could lead to addiction???"

Also I get they were goin for a reincarnation aspect this time instead of a poltergeist thing, but I feel like it fits well enough (and I like the idea of a ghost more personally). But like Scully, why are you discounting psychic phenomenon when you've seen it before? Or at least the aftermath of it.

Pretty sure that can sum up X-Files as a whole, a cycle of Scully being "No, Mulder, it's not a paranormal thing, it's a science thing" and then Mulder typically being right per usual. Or personal favorite of mine is when it's science and paranormal like with Tooms.

Feels pretty damn good. But I think we need to hold off on the celebrating till we give the Evil Queen what's comin' to her. I don't trust her. She's probably plotting something as we speak.

It's so interesting that Regina views the Dark Curse as a way to punish others, in whatever way she feels they deserve. Even someone she considers a friend deserves to suffer. It just speaks as to how much she has isolated herself from others by the time she casts the curse -- or even maybe that she's casting the curse because she's isolated from others. She kills her own father, the only person that by her own words tried to protect her, and with that she fully condemns herself to that loneliness. She's trapped by her own destructiveness, miserable, and thus everyone else should be trapped too. She doesn't just hate Snow White, she hates everyone. Even if she doesn't personally have any issues with them, it doesn't matter because they are daring to be happy when she can't.
