Things I will be taking as Canon from RVB Restoration:
Sarge cares enough for Caboose that he would go back and save him for no reason other than he cares for him.
Tucker cares about Caboose enough that it was able to snap him out of mind control for just a few seconds, something we don't see with the Meta.
There was still a part of Epsilon in Wash (if I saw that last scene correctly)
If given the power to do so, the first thing Simmons would do was give the love of his life that ability to get out of the army, the thing he assumes he would want more than anything. (Though in my version they leave /together/
479er is still out there and doing great.
If Washes recovery beacon goes off, Carolina WILL stop EVERYTHING she's doing to track him down.
If Sarge were to die, he'd leave Simmons his shotgun.
Things I will not be taking as Canon from RVB Restoration:
The rest of it.
The fact that everything past S13 is reconed except Wash Angst
last time, I promise, but I need to shout into the void.
THE REDS AND BLUES WERE ALREADY FRIENDS DURING AND AFTER CHORUS. RESTORATION'S THEMATIC THROUGHLINE OF THEM REALIZING THE OTHER SIDE 'ISN'T SO BAD' MAKES NO SENSE POST-STAFF-OF-CHARON.
THEY WERE ALREADY ONE BIG TEAM (already were wayyyyy before Chorus too) AND THEY KNEW IT AND THEY WERE OKAY WITH IT. SARGE WAS SINGING THE BEAT TO TUCKER'S DANCE MOVES TO TAUNT THEIR MUTUAL ENEMIES AND THEY WERE ALL READY TO DIE TOGETHER AND FOR EACH OTHER
Couple of gripes I have about Restorations writing:
-There was hardly any reaction from the others about Tucker being the Meta. Not even Wash blinked at it, and I highly doubt he knew Tucker was the Meta. The others... didn't seem to have Any form of emotional reaction? Just ":0 he's the meta??" And that was it
-literally no one tried telling Carolina or Tex that they were fighting Tucker (they seemed to just,, know?? Somehow??). I expected someone to yell "THAT'S TUCKER! ITS TUCKER, DON'T KILL HIM!" And there was just. No moral dilemma when it came to fighting him??
-Building off the last one, they were all so... split up? It was like all the development kinda just disappeared. They didn't seem to really care about each other like they had previously.
They're canon, I literally don't care what anyone else says. Grif writes letters to his military boyfriend while kicking his feet and giggling, and Simmons jumps up and down when he gets a new letter.
so ur telling me when grif left blood gulch and walked away into the setting sun with simmons watching helmet's glistening in the fading light that we DIDN'T suddenly cut to grif about to step into the ship before he stalled, knowing already that he wasn't alone, he's never been alone, because simmons followed him there unable to be without him and the last thing we saw was simmons holding out his hand and then we cut to credits that didnt happen huh? thats just a delusion i had??? its not real grif just leaves his husband?? ok
