If you're still doing the fake fic title + synopsis asks: I need you like I need a gaping head wound
PLOT:
HtN-era canon divergence, Harrianthe character & relationship study on intimacy, dependency, vulnerability, mutual toxicity, and being eachother's best worst option. The lobotomy worked a little too well and instead of just erasing Gideon and leaving Harrow half a lyctor, it has ecascading effects on Harrow's abilities on the whole, leaving uer without necromancy alltogether. Ianthe, now the only ascending lyctor, decides to do what she has always done: pretend, and helps Harrow hide both what she has done to herself, from herself, but also from the rest of the cast.
RANDOM PLOT POINTS:
Ianthe character study ft. her crying at night and why!! Explorations of her Ruver experience!!! More explorations of her own codependency and the effects of being so emeshed w Coronabeth for 22 years and what happens when it's all suddenly cut off -- Harrow needs Ianthe, but Ianthe needs Harrow, too, and Ianthe needs someone she can play pretend for more than she would ever be want to admit (I need Ianthe sad wet pathetic and just as desperate and fucked up as Harrow, just in different ways!!!)
Ianthe now has to help Harrow evade the Saint of Duty's attacks, as Harrow can't do it on her own with no necromancy, while also needing to keep up the con
Harrow, having lost everything, ends up turning to Ianthe out of fear & desperation and also Ianthe doesn't just walk away after the bath scene, she stays and puts Harrow back together
The Lobotomy in all its gorey detail
The Sewn Tongue in all its gory detail
More elaboration and detail on whatever Ianthe is doing with her time on the mithraeum, including an alternate bone arm scene in which Harrow saws off Ianthe's corpse-limb and does NOT replace it with bone. this still helps Ianthe improve her fighting, and she just does it all 1 handed, left handed
Exploration of Ianthe and Harrow's parallel grief, including Harrow's make up grief over "Ortus" contrasted with Ianthe's absent grief twoards Babs and her OVERWHELMING grief of Coronabeth, which she refuses to admit
