IT IS DONE.
SO. These two are part of my new AU, The Eclipse Protocol, which is a futuristic story in which reader is a tech with big dreams of starting their own workshop in the big city of Nebula Valley - THE mecha when it comes to all things animatronics. Animatronics are a common sight everywhere thanks to FazCo, despite that company having gone completely bankrupt over a 100 years ago. Actual genuine FazCo animatronics are extremely rare nowadays as most were destroyed in the company’s final days.
And the last thing reader expects is to come across a quaint little antique store full of old vintage junk… and two very old, very broken but definitely very real Daycare Attendant animatronics in desperate need of some TLC.
So aside from Sun and Moon there’s also these two. On the right we have a certified Golden Boy™ named Celestino and his design was inspired by Japanese kintsugi (google it, it’s pretty!). And on the left we have Apollo, inspired by Chinese porcelain.
Celestino and Apollo were both Daycare Attendants at one point in their lives (there were lots of Pizzaplexes back in the day) and were among the few who escaped decommissioning. They have their own share of FazCo related demons so uh, good luck to reader dealing with all of that.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy! ^-^ This took a loooooooooooong time.
I'm including a non-shaded no BG version without the effect below the cut. The background is a screenshot I took in Cyberpunk 2077 because Night City is my main inspiration for Nebula Valley.

Circus Theater AU!!! Inspired by Cirque du Soleil, featuring Sun and Moon as the main performers and Eclipse as the ringmaster and on-stage storyteller. All bow down to our jester king. _o_
This will be a y/n reader story, already got a few chapters drafted.
This started out as just a first design concept for Eclipse's costume and then it turned into a whole goddamn poster I spent way too much time on lol. I still have to design the back of Eclipse's cape as well as their off-duty non-costume outfits.
I want that cape in real life TvT y/n is gonna find themselves wrapped in it one day, calling it now.
Originally this also came with two more characters, one inspired by the Eclipse face as seen in the Balloon Boy arcade game, the other a moon inspired counterpart, but I ended up removing them for now. I might find a use for them later, who knows.
For now, Imma go doodle the celestial boys some more \o/

It’s Eclipse hug time!
A doodle I started last night because I had a sudden need for wholesome Eclipse while I struggle my way through writing the first chapter of my AU. Figuring out how to draw his faceplate from the side was a pain but I’m happy with it. Y/N’s design is still a WIP, I haven’t decided on an outfit yet (hence the boring purple sweater) but the beanie will probably stay because it’s based on one I own and love. I’ll work on a proper ref for Y/N soon… ish. For now I wish I were them because I wanna hug Eclipse too TvT

Did this is CSP which I am not used to for art (have only used it for effect brushes) but I gotta say I really do like the textured pen for inking. Still prefer SAI2 though.

Fingers crossed that tumblr refrains from eating the quality, but it probably will :')
The boys from my Cirque des Célestes AU in examples of their off-duty casual outfits. Yes that's Eclipse's idea of casual lol. Fancy and theatrical even when off the stage.
I wanted to get a good idea of their preferred styles down before I tackle finishing up the first chapter.
So Moon's style is cyberpunk inspired but overall he wears loose-fitting comfy clothes. Lotsa hoodies. Whatever lets him be his introverted self.
Eclipse being the zen presence that he is (99% of the time) prefers to dress smartly but in an old-fashioned Victorian-esque way, so form fitting vests and shirts with poofy sleeves and ruffles and such.
Sun is pure wholesome chaotic energy and has all the meme shirts.
And now I sleep! I have a ton of writing to do tomorrow lol.

Eclipse from my Cirque des Célestes AU, inspired by his introduction scene in chapter 1 (which I’m still slaving away at) I was gonna include this as actual chapter art but the background setting ended up being different and I didn’t include his staff here so hm. I finished this pic like 2 weeks ago but I’ve only gotten around to writing the scene today and with it no longer quite matching up I figured I should just go ahead and share this pic separately. Really happy with how it turned out.
Drawing him is too much fun and I'm addicted, I wish I had more time for it!

Oops I was holding my stylus and my hand slipped.
Very extremely self-indulgent doodle, I'm not quite sure where it came from, it started as an excuse to draw robo hands. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't necessarily mean this to be sexual in any way - though if you want to interpret it that way feel free 😂 I'm not judging, it's still suggestive - but I figure that Sun doesn't get to interact with adults much (and Moon even less so) aside from parents coming to pick up/drop off their kids, and FazCo staff. And y'know, I see them as curious attention starved animatronics. Why not let them explore a little in a safe manner with someone they trust right?
That's my excuse. I regret nothing.
ANYWAY. I worked on this while brainstorming for a Sun/Moon/Reader story because everyone is doing it and I gots an idea! A very angsty one and I happen to really love writing that sort of thing, and I get to do proper illustrations and concept art!! Already got the first three chapters drafted and it'll give me an excuse to design a proper y/n. The one up there getting happily fondled is super random.
So yes! Lots of stuff in the works, I'm excited! \o/ Hope ya'll like angst lol.

Have a WIP to show that I'm not actually dead when it comes to drawing DCA stuff. Also, new AU yaaaaay! No I haven't forgotten about my circus theater AU, but these two suddenly decided they have a right to take up space in my brain and wanted a story to go with it, so that's a thing now. I can't wait to actually show off their designs, so happy with how they came out.
I'm calling this AU the Eclipse Protocol and I'm really excited about it 👀 I say that while I still haven't uploaded the first chapter of Cirque des Célestes, which is still sitting unfinished at 14k+ words which is way too big and I have yet to figure out how I'm gonna tackle that and make that story manageable. I don't have the brain power for that right now, so I'm giving the new AU priority for the moment.
I also have a love/hate relationship with drawing robo hands/joints/parts aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. It's fun but it hurts my brain.

But thank you!!! I think I've only posted the one snippit before (that is recent) but I got some good writing progress done on my DCA AU (14k+ words and counting for chapter 1 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah) so yes, have another (un-edited) snippit. ^-^
And as a bonus, because I haven't actually posted anything decent in a few months, have an art WIP of one of the extra outfits I'm designing for the Cirque des Célestes boys to prove that this AU is still very much alive lol.

Oop Five Nights At Freddie's fanart. Who would've thunk it. I've never considered myself a huge Fnaf fan but Security Breach, flaws and all, I adore the setting and the characters in that one and I'm in too deep. I've never played it (or any Fnaf game) because fuck that, I'm a coward and too much of an anxiety ridden mess to deal with jump scares and chase scenes, but I do love watching let's plays.
I am hopelessly OBSESSED with these two right now. Have been for a while but I've been trying to resist getting too attached because I already have so many fandoms and characters to hyper-fixate on... and then the Ruin DLC happened and gave me tons of feels and my obsession with them turned nuclear, resistance was futile and now here we are lol. I have accepted my fate.
I've also been binge reading Solar Lunacy by @bamsara which... y'know, didn't help because that's been keeping me up at night lmao. Had me mad cackling at 2:30am more than once. My sleep schedule is ruined :') BUT THAT'S OKAY. Will probably end up doing some fanart for that too at some point >>; Too many good scenes~
ANYWAY. Never drawn them before, this is just a quick and somewhat messy doodle to see if I can even draw 'em decently and get comfortable with it because this is not an art style I'm very familiar with. The Daycare boys lend themselves well for a more cartoony style which... is not something I do usually. But it was fun! For a first attempt I'm happy with it. I really enjoy drawing them (especially the gremlin on the right).
I will definitely develop my take on them more, there's a few things I do wanna change in how I draw them and I have tons of ideas now, which is good because this artblock is killing meeeeeeeeeeee. I'm just gonna use them to draw stupid shit and dumb jokes and hopefully some actual proper illustrations and hopefully get back into the flow of things (I keep saying that and it never works but PLZ T-T). I still don't have my PC back but once I do that's also gonna make things easier. And faster. Fingers crossed :')
Anyway, I am now officially on the Simping for both the murderous jester bot and the adorable Daycare Attendant who deserves all the hugs and then some bandwagon yeeeeeeeeeeee.

Sleep deprivation and pain made me have one hell of a weird DCA-NMS-COTL crossover dream this morning and I'm still giggling about it, wtf
I don't remember much of the No Man's Sky part of the dream, but the part involving the DCA involved a survival game that had Sun as the playable character, complete with wire shenanigans and it was pretty awesome and weird (except for the part where I got Denied A Hug TvT by a Sun who was for some reason not wearing anything, don't you fucking judge me, it's dream logic 😂), and despite not really knowing anything about CotL aside from what shows up on my dash (thanks @bamsara though I'm not complaining lol), that part of the dream was also... very interesting.
I don't know how accurate it was to canon because again, my knowledge is extremely basic. I'm pretty sure Narinder getting the lamb to start a cult did not involve him beating the absolute bajeebus out of the lamb like it came straight out of a DBZ episode, but yeah, what do I know lol. Maybe it IS accurate. NO CLUE.
I do want to play this game at some point - especially after this dream - but I'm gonna resist. I don't want to lose my DCA hyperfixation anytime soon when I still have so much to write and draw, so for now I'm putting it on my wishlist and that's where it's going to stay for a good long while.
For now, I'm gonna write out the details of this dream for safekeeping so I can giggle over it later when I inevitably forget about it, pop some pain meds and hopefully finish some art today. @_@
