Wrote some angst about Morty's trauma when Rick replaced himself with Rickbot!
TRIGGER WARNING WRITTEN DEPICTIONS OF PANIC ATTACKS, SELF LOATHING, FLASHBACK TO PAST PHYSICAL CHILD ABUSE UNDER THE CUT
Morty zoned out, he knew Rick was going to come here any second now, he was going to rush in here and drag him on some nonsenical traumatizing adventure. It was only a matter of time. He blinked then as if on cue Rick came busting in without knocking, again "Little Junebug!"
He blinked and looked at Rick "W-w-what did you just call me?" Rick blinked "Uhh what? Junebug?" He started breathing heavily, a memory flashed through his head, something Rickbot "C'mon lil' Junebug." Rick snapped "Morty! Snap outta it!" That pulled Morty back to reality and he pitfully squeaked "Are...are...you...are you a robot?" Rick rolled his eyes "Morty, you fuck-*burp*-ing idiot. We already did this." Morty clenched onto Rick's labcoat "Rick, please just tell me you're not a robot!" Morty begged, he didn't care that he sounded like he was about to cry. Rick looked at Morty and said "I'm not a robot..." then he awkwardly patted his back "Are you ok?" Morty as he remembered that Rickbot patted his back and he pushed Rick away roughly and started hyperventaliting and sobbing "R-R-Rick a-a-a-are you..are...you...s-s-sure you aren't a r-robot?" He asked shakily, barely able to keep his voice together while his knees shook. Rick said, with an uncharaistically soft voice "I'm not..Morty are you..?" He reached out and Morty flinched. The memory of Rick slapping him literally hit him like a slap to the face. Why did he think slapping him would help?! Morty just kept repeating "No...no...." Rick said "Morty what...?"
Morty roughly pushed him "OUT OF MY WAY!" Morty screamed, running out of the room, he heard Rick try to call him, but his voice just became drowned up by the voice screaming in his head. There was too many people here. Too many. TOO MANY! He couldn't breath. He felt like a cagged animal. He wanted out. Out. Out. Out! Out! OUT! He ran to the front door and hastially turned the doorknob, he heard Rick's fast footsteps behind him and quickly opened the door, and ran to the back of the house, curled up into a ball. And just cried.
Rick was right about everything he ever told Morty. He was a fucking baby. A stupid fucking crybaby. Of fucking course Rick didn't care about him. Who would?

I've been too busy to draw so time to say a few hc's for my old men (this is mainly pre relationship stuff bc Rick is such an ass here)
Rick ends up rebooting Rickbot because he's busy searching for Prime now, so there's not much personal time to get shit done. Whether that's little home repairs or his own personal tasks that Morty throws a fit about doing, Rick realizes "awww fuck" and starts this stupid robot piece of shit up again
Even before Christmas, Rickbot would go down to level 10 to check on Rick. It's small talk that Rickbot finds goes nowhere bc Rick doesn't care to engage other than grunts and then finally ending with 'aren't you supposed to be upstairs :/'
These tiny visits would include Rickbot bringing down plates of leftovers from dinner bc 'no Rick, a granola bar and a dozen cans of alien redbull with Adderall isn't a meal and when is the last time you slept what the fuck-'
Rickbot and Morty are getting along. Rick fucking hates this, especially at the start of Rickbot joining back into the family unit. He's jealous. One scenario: they go and get ice cream or whatever. Rickbot and Morty are having a damn blast talking something or other, so Rick acts like a baby and is totally rude about it. I mean, he purposely gets between them like "Hey how about you go do something useful and pull the car around, I need to get something from this store" and drags Morty with him after tossing the keys at Rickbot.
Rick would ignore Rickbot in the beginning and act like he's just 'the help'. It would have to take them actually getting to conversing without something going on at the same time. Maybe they actually watch interdimensional cable together and make fun of it together. It's obviously not much but it gets that knot loosened a tad.
Rickbot would offer to help Rick with the search for Prime once they start being more friendlier. Mainly because he doesn't feel like Morty needs to be getting involved in something like this, and seeing how they're the same person, it may do good to have highly intellectual minds work together. Morty's still going to try and squeeze in though.
Bot gets very irritable when Rick is rude to Morty or anyone else like "Hey buddy hey pal knock that shit off"
He's definitely got a good chance with doing *something* because he's Rick and no one knows Rick from the inside and out like himself. Rickbot knows what gets on his nerves, what makes him sad, what makes him happy. But God damn is it work but Rickbot's willing to do it
their relationship is the physical form of someone who knows they need to be better and healthier, but they're scared to bc of how often they've been fucked over in the past so they fight every urge to be nice to themselves.

HOOOO BOY. This is the hardest question yet! I love most if not all episodes for one reason or another. But my top 4 categories are the BAMF Morty ones, the break-up ones, The Citadel ones, and the Rickbot ones.
The ones where Beth or Jerry take the spotlight, regardless of how little or much 💀
My least favorite characters are both Beth and Jerry, funnily enough. They’re awful parents and while I would enjoy their narcissistic and/or manipulative behaviors otherwise, they stopped being alluring the moment I fell in love with Morty (instantly). Baby boy’s well-being comes first now and forever

Not at all! While their voices are part of their essence, it’s not what makes the characters themselves. It’s not the end of the world. Dubbed shows are proof of it. Besides, vocal chords change all the time!

Ohhh!! that’s an easy one. Any scene where Rick thinks he’s being subtle about his affections for Morty, regardless of how one perceives them. It’s just so funny to watch that pathetic old man trying so hard to repress his emotions and STILL come off as jealous, possessive, or a simp. Morty has him wrapped around his little finger and Rick KNOWS it. He HATES it so much it makes him look stupid and yet he STILL complies. [chef’s kiss]
Ahhhhh. Best Season is 3 or 6.
