PM Modi inaugurates revamped Pragati Maidan, claims India will be 3 most powerful economy in his third term in power

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about his third term in power and how he will be able to put India on the top world economies map. He promised unprecedented growth in India and showed his commitment to putting India in the world's top three slots.

The PM was inaugurating Delhi's revamped Pragati Maidan where he sent across a message of growth and development in India and said, "From east to west, north to south, India's infrastructure is changing... The world's highest rail bridge in India, the longest tunnel at the highest altitude is in India, the highest motorable road, the largest stadium, the largest statue -- all of it is in India".

He further added that the growth of the Indian economy will align with the country’s aspirations.

"In our first term, India was in the 10th spot in terms of economy. In my second term, it is the world's fifth-largest economy. On the basis of track record, I will make the country believe, in the third term, the economy will be among the world's top three," he added. "In my third term, India will stand among the top three economies. And this is Modi's guarantee".

The inauguration of The International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre which is now renamed "Bharat Mandapam" is the first ground for the political pitch of Narendra Modi for the next elections. He compared how India has grown significantly in the last 9 years compared to its growth in the 60 years since independence.

"In the last 60 years, India managed to electrify only 20, 000 km of rail lines compared to the 40,000 km achieved by his government in the last nine years... Now every month, we are completing a 6 km metro line, less than 4 lakh km of village roads... In 2014, Delhi Airport's capacity was around 5 crore a year. Now it is 7.5 crore... The number of airports has reached 150," he said.

The PM also took a jibe at the opposition parties joining forces to pull him down and called them negative-minded people who try to stop the developments like the Bharat Mandapam.

"These people tried to stop this Bharat Mandapam. It is some people's compulsion to stop every work. In breaking news, what was shown? So many cases were filed... I am confident that after a while, those people will come here for some lectures or event," he said.

PM Modi Launches 5G Services in India LIVE Updates: PM Says It’s The Beginning of Infinite Opportunities

5G Launch LIVE Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the 5G telephony services in the country, ushering in an era of ultra high-speed internet on mobile phones. The Prime Minister launched the 5G services in select cities at the IMC 2022 conference. The services will progressively cover the entire country over the next couple of years. Capable of supporting ultra-high-speed internet, the fifth generation

or 5G service is expected to unleash new economic opportunities and societal benefits, serving as a transformational force for Indian society. After the launch, all the three major telecom operators demonstrated one use case to show the potential of 5G technology in India.

He also inaugurated the India Mobile Congress 2022 exhibition ahead of the formal launch of 5G mobile telephony services in India. After inaugurating the exhibition at Pragati Maidan here, he went around pavilions set up by different telecom operators and technology providers to get a first-hand experience of what 5G can do. He started with Reliance Jio’s stalls, where he witnessed the ‘True 5G’ devices displayed and experienced the use case through Jio Glass. Flanked by Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and billionaires Mukesh Ambani of Reliance, Sunil Bharti Mittal of Bharti Airtel and Kumar Mangalam Birla of Vodafone Idea, he spent time understanding the indigenous development of end-to-end 5G technology.

The cumulative economic impact of 5G on India is estimated to reach USD 450 billion by 2035. Capable of supporting ultra-high-speed internet, the fifth generation or 5G service is expected to unleash new economic opportunities and societal benefits, serving as a transformational force for Indian society.

The three major telecom operators of the country will demonstrate one use case each in front of the Prime Minister to show the potential of 5G technology in India. Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio will connect a teacher from a school in Mumbai with students in three different locations in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Odisha.

This, according to official sources, will demonstrate how 5G will facilitate education by bringing teachers closer to students, obliviating the physical distance between them. It will demonstrate the power of Augmented Reality (AR) on screen and how that is being used to teach children across the country, remotely, without the need of an AR device.

In the Airtel demo, a girl from Uttar Pradesh will witness a lively and immersive education experience to learn about the solar system with the help of virtual reality and augmented reality. The girl will share her experience of learning with the Prime Minister by appearing on the dias through a hologram.

The Vodafone Idea test case will demonstrate the safety of workers in an under-construction tunnel of Delhi Metro through the creation of a ‘digital twin’ of the tunnel on the dias. The digital twin will help give safety alerts to workers in real-time from a remote location. Modi will take a live demo from the dias to monitor the work in real-time through utilising VR and artificial intelligence.

“Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will launch 5G services in India on October 1, 2022, and also inaugurate the 6th Edition of India Mobile Congress 2022 to be held from October 1–4, 2022, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi,” the release added.

The various use cases that will be demonstrated in front of the Prime Minister in the exhibition include precision drone-based farming; high-security routers and AI-based cyber threat detection platforms; automated guided vehicles; smart ambulances; augmented reality/virtual reality /mix reality in education and skill development; sewage monitoring system; smart-agri programme and health diagnostics, among others.

5G offers speed multiple times faster than 4G, supports lag-free connectivity, and can enable billions of connected devices to share data in real-time. It will help in providing seamless coverage, high data rate, low latency, and highly reliable communications. Also, it will increase energy efficiency, spectrum efficiency and network efficiency. 5G technology will help in connecting billions of Internet of Things devices, allow higher quality video services with mobility at high speed, delivery of critical services such as telesurgery and autonomous cars, among others.

Taking a leap into the future, Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), switched on its Live 5G network at India Mobile Congress 2022 in the national capital today. The first call on Vi 5G Live network was made by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi who used Vi 5G Digital Twin technology to take an Immersive Tour of Delhi Metro under-construction tunnel in Dwarka. The call was attended by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena who facilitated an interaction for the Hon’ble PM with a Worker at the site. Using high-speed ultra-low latency 5G network, Vi demonstrated to the Hon’ble PM how 5G technology can be used in India for Worker Safety and Efficiency in supervision of critical construction sites such as tunnels, underground working sites, mines etc. With a 3D Digital Twin of a Delhi Metro tunnel site created on Vi 5G, Hon’ble PM was able to view it remotely in real-time, and review the working conditions and well-being of the workers deployed at the site. Along with the Hon’ble PM at IMC for Vi 5G demonstration was Shri Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group. Vi in partnership with Athonet and Tata Communication Transformation Services (TCTS), created the digital twin of the under-construction Delhi Metro site in Dwarka region. The set up involved the deployment of eMBB and uRLLC augmented by real-time VR & Artificial Intelligence based applications. 4K HD cameras were installed at site, connecting back to the network through 5G as well as to an Edge compute platform at Vi 5G Core location in Delhi. The digital images were ported on HoloLens worn by an operator for the Hon’ble Prime Minister to experience it live on screen at IMC event. The end to end connectivity from the Site to the Core and IMC Demo location at Pragati Maidan was on Vi 5G network.
