It’s been a really rough week in several different ways, so I welcomed the escape of last night’s “Gel Plate - Creating a Landscape” class taught by WAC Member Artist Leslie Harper-Reid and held at Walkerville Artists Collective. Sadly my mental capacity was pretty much tapped out, so I struggled a bit with getting things to work the way I needed them to, but it’s all good. Here are a few of my prints - I see lots of practice in my future. 😂😜 Looking forward to the next time!

I had an awesome time last night with a few friends and other students at an “Introduction to Gel Plate Printmaking” class taught by WAC Member Artist Leslie Harper-Reid and held at Walkerville Artists Collective. It was my first experience with printmaking of any kind, and Leslie led us through a comprehensive and easy to understand introduction to the medium, with plenty of time to play and experiment. The evening was so much fun and absolutely flew by! I’m eager to do some practicing at home, and will be on the lookout for more classes taught by Leslie. Thank you for a great evening! 🥰

Spent some time today at the Walkerville Artists Collective gallery setting up a new wall display with my “Van Gogh meets Zentangle” piece front and centre. Hope you have a chance to stop by and check it out in person!

This afternoon’s “Introduction to Zentangle” class at Walkerville Artists Collective was a bit of an adventure, as the software I use to project what I’m doing onto the wall decided that it wasn’t going to play nice, leaving me with a full group of twelve students who wouldn’t be able to see what I was demonstrating! But I’m happy to say that we made it work, and I’m so grateful for all of these lovely people for being so flexible and understanding about a less-than-ideal situation. And isn’t their work gorgeous?! 🥰
