Dennis plays with baby Declan. Aww, he's a good daddy. Who would've guessed.
I swear this is Madi's second home. Marcus invites her over nearly everyday.
She even cooks macarroni to go as a side dish with. . . whatever they cooked.
Back home and getting abducted for a second time.
Tess was promotied and got a new uniform. Much better than that awful Llama outfit, but Tess still doesn't seem happy.
Tess firnally got to the pro-athlete branch she'd been wanting. Also, Paolo Rocca got Penny (Pizzazz) pregnant. I was sure I had a picture, but they already have triplet toddlers, so . . . Yeah. I don't know where those pics went.
With Tess's promotion, the Omnifates decided they are ready to start thinking seriously about adopting, so they used all their savings two buy a bigger house. It's not their dream home, but it's a good start in the right direction.

OmniFate Mini Update #3
Madi and Tess enjoy cooking together again. Madi is still more into it than Tess. Maybe Tess is a bit of a control freak in the kitchen. Hmm.
Tess still has a much easier time talking to people at the gym than anywhere else. Maybe she just knows athletes are the kind of people she can relate to, even though she doesn't care for fitness that much, she knows it's important for her career goals.
Madi transforms a plain glass of water Tess left out into a health potion. Interesting.

The OmniFate's First Winter Fest
They are so in love. I ship them so much.
After receiving the Logic volume 2 book from Tess, Madi gained this sentiment. Okay, this is super cute.
I love this. This new sentiment system is changing the game! It adds so much to make personality to the sims that has been missing this whole time.
For example. . .
Madi and Tess have drastically different memories of how the Grand Ham they made for dinner. Tess thought the food was terrible, and was disappointed it didn't come out better. Madi was just happy about how fun and special it was to cook together for the holiday. I thought this was so funny.
Father Winter arrived with a great gift for Tess. It's actually something Madi had been wanting for a while, but it will definitely be a great addition for both of them.
Madisyn actually gave Father Winter a gift, but all she got was a Knife Block. Wow.
Tess got the Jamtastic Gift sentiment about Father Winter. Okay, fair, it was a great gift. (also, maybe they went a bit too far with these canning sentiment.)
Also, FW has the You are My Jam sentiment for Tess, which is weird. If you recall from an earlier pic, that is an enamoured sentiment. I think he might have a crush on Tess. Innappropriate FW. She's taken. Get it together.
He later gained the same sentiment about Madi. I think his dirty little mind is in the gutter. Never gonna happen, friend.
Madi left a secret present for Tess in the mailbox.
And FW left another gift under the tree for Tess that would have made more sense for Madi. But okay.
Madi recieved the Farmer Veggies and Herbs packet from Marcus in the mailbox. This may actually come in handy with her job. Good one Marcus. We'll have to remember to give him a gift in return next time we see him.
When FW leaves, Tess and Madi head out to volunteer at a soup kitchen.
The return feeling very pleased at how well their first Winter Fest as a family turned out. There's just one more thing they need to make this the perfect day.
Ahem. Just taking a moment to admire how cute the new bed is in this room. Don't mind me.

Okay, also, has anyone else had a problem with some of their keys stopping working on Tumblr, or is it just me? It freak me out and made me worried that my keyboard was messing up, but they work on everything but Tumblr. So I've been having to type everything out on a sticky note and copy and patste it into the post. It's very frustrating.
Oh, also. The 10 picture per post limit has forced me to start getting more creative with photo editing. I don't like it. But other than that, I'm really enjoying posting on this platform.

Invaders part 2
"You can't be using that computer. You don't work here. Get off now!" Madi yells at one of the univited guests.
She programs the satellite to knock everyone in the area out, so she can keep them under control for a little while.
OMadi's work bestie hurt her feeling during an earlier conversation, and she takes her frustration out by giving her a tained serum. Oh Madi, one of your traits is good, and your generation goal is do-gooder. You're going to have to do a lot of volunteering to make up for your mad-scientist actions. You really need to think about your choices lately.
Madi: Well, I need someone to try these experiments on. May as well be people who have wronged me.
Okay, whatever you say girl.
Later that night. Oh, I know what this means.
Yeah, the aliens got you in their sights now girl.
Madi actually had a really great time. Okay then.
Madi is invited back to Marcus's house, and we see that Declan has grown into a cute little toddler.
So of course I had to build him a nice toddler room. Unfortunately, I learned later, that I put in a twin bed and not a toddler bed and he can't sleep there, and that upsets me.
Nikita grew up too. Still cute.
Sad faced Declan is cute. What's wrong boo?

Invaders in the workplace.
Tess and Madi spend their off day at the library. Just like old times.
Some cute kiddos come and do their homework near Tess and it's adorable.
Madi seems to have caught a bit of the fitness bug lately, too.
Just a cute pic of Madi and Tess bonding over a game of chess.
Madi gives a tained serum to Hana.
Then she heads back to the station to make another.
At work the next day Madi notices there are many random people hanging out that don't work there. She finds this suspicious.
She strikes up a conversation with one and tries to be polite.
Madi theorizes with Aarohi that she thinks they might be aliens. There's something just not quite right about these people.
She uses the freeze ray on one.

Back at work and Madi is still upset with Hana. She mind controls her to clean. I think goodie good Madi has a bit of a mean streak.
It work. Hana proceeds to clean this counter that isn't even dirty, over and over again.
She spends some time working on her rocket.
And then takes a nap.
Despite really hating working out, Tess has been working out even when it's not required of her.
Maybe the new friends she's making at the gym are motivating her.
Back at work, and Madi is drunk with the power of mind-controlling Hana.
Once again ignoring her work tasks and spending some time reading a book.
Madi is having fun with her sim ray again. She needs some ingredients she doesn't have, and wonders if she can transform some extra metals and crystals she has on hand into something more useful. The hematite turned into this neat table. Cute, but not helpful.
After work, Marcus invites her over again, and she learns that Eva and Dennis Kim had a baby. (Probably a result of hooking up in Nikita's closet.) His name is Dennis. Madi couldn't wait to snuggle him.
Okay, not the most exciting update, but it's something. Lots more on the way.

Flex Family Visit, Continued
Tess notices the bar over in the other corner. She'd always had a bit of a curiousity about mixology, and decides to play around a bit. She makes Cupid Juice.
It doesn't take Madi long to get sweet little Nikita into her arms. I am not surprised. Her family oriented heart is just a fluttering away. I'm thinking it won't be long before she and Tess start having those talks.
Cassandra comes down and starts playing with her baby. They're super cute. I guess despite being a teenager, she's a really good and loving mom.
Madi watches the play with a smile. It warms her heart, but also leaves her with a meloncholy longing. She know she and Tess are not in a position to bring children into their lives, but she wishes there were. It just motivates her to work even harder to get to that place.
Meanwhile, that expression on Eva's face. Yeah, I think she's going to end up being a Black Widow.
Tess and Marcus taking the time to get to know each other a bit better.
Madi has that baby in her arms again. Mommy Cass is happy to take a break from the play and look up something apparently hilarious on her phone.
What a sweet little hug. And with that, the OmniFates say goodnight, and head home to get some rest. It's been a long day.
It was at this point I realized we forgot to give Marcus a gift to thank him for his very thoughtful present. Oh well, I'll remember next time. I hope.

Just a few Winterfest Extras
I did not realize the microscope Tess found under the tree was this microscope. At first I thought Madi had smuggled it out of the science lab for Tess, but I think it might have been a Father Winter gift. Okay. . .
This cute little bear was also a gift. I think this is what Madi left under the tree for Tess, but I don't remember. I'm going to have to take better notes in the future. But it's sooo cute.
It was at this moment that I realized I was enjoying the game more than I have in the entire time I've owned it. Usually I start a game, play for a few days with good intentions, and just give up on it and not play for a while, and then just start a new save.
Adding the "Do Everything" challenge to my game play is improving my enjoyment of the game so much. Even though I'm taking it slow and letting the accomplishments happen as they come without grinding too hard for them, it's still bringing so much more fun to the game for me.
Credit also goes to The Sims 4 team for adding more personality to the sims with the implement of sentiments and preferences. Anyway, I just wanted to say that.

An OmniFate Winter Fest Eve
Though they don't have much money at all, Madi and Tess are excited to spend their Winter Fest together as a family. They do the best that they can with what little money they have. They managed to get a cute tree, made some paper-craft decorations, and found a random box of decorations from a thrift-store.
Madi: "It'll do, I guess."
Yup, that's random alright. But better than nothing.
Um, yeah. Cute.
. . . . .
Tess's only wish for Winter Fest is to go ice skating again.
They're still not very good. lol.
But they have fun. Aww.
. . . .
Tess and Madi are both scheduled to work during Winterfest, but they took a vacation day to spend the holiday at home together.
Madi wakes up early to hide presents for Tess under the tree, and do some cleaning and repairs.
Tess takes the opportunity to sleep in.
As soon as she wakes up Tess decides to cook a special Grand Feast of ham to nibble on throughout the day. Madi jumps in to help.
They have a blast decorating the tree together.
Well, they did the best they could with what they could find in the box of random items. It's really special.
Madi: "Time to open presents!"
Tess finds a cute gift under the tree for her from Madi. I forget what it was. (edit: Maybe the bear thing I'll mention in a later post)
Madi discovers a gift for her under the tree from Tess. She opens the box to find it empty, and gives Tess a sad look. Tess starts cackling, and gives Madi her real gift. She spent nearly all of the money she had to get Tess the logic volume 2 book, so you wouldn't have to spend so much time in the library.
It's just what she needs, Madi loves it.
She gives Tess a cute yellow crystal she found because that was her favorite color.
Tess: Madi is my jam. She just really gets me. I love her so much.

Frustrated with the fruitless conversation, Madi walks away to try to get some work done while Aarohi contines to grill Hana.
Physically and emotionally exhausted, Madi naps through her lunch break.
Work was very unproductive, but bestie Marcus shows up to try to cheer her up after work. Also, "we wear bags" passed in the polls and Marcus is being abiding by this new mandate. The OmniFates will not be doing that.
The next morning, after waking up with a sore back, Madi decides the futon the brought with them when they moved in was just not going to work anymore. But they were broke. Luckily, she invented a sim ray and thought it might just be crazy enough to work.
Um. Cute. Not quite what she intended but it did look more comfortable. No way she and Tess would both be able to fit on that though.
Attempt 2
Yeah, no, this wouldn't work at all.
One more try. Please work. Please work. Please work.
Much better. It even looks pretty cute with their decor. Wood does match, but it's much more comfortable.

Feeling confident from her science sucess, Madi starts her most ambitious project yet.

Madi learns to be discerning about her friends.
Still not ready to go home, Madi sends a text to her co-worker Hana and asks if she wants to hang out.
Hana say's "Sure meet me at this adress."
The adress turns out to be this creepy ruins place. And then a blizzard starts!
Madi starts to think Hana planned this to scare her.
It worked.
Scared for her life, she runs for shelter. Realizes there is none, but manages to get back home safely.
"Never again," she thinks.
At home, Madi takes a moment to try to calm herself down in the mirror before talking to her wife about what just happened.
Tess comforts her and helps to calm her down.
"You're still so cold babe," Tess whispers, and gives her a snuggle.
Tess brings her food. Just being around her wife makes Madi feel safe and calm.
"I know just what you need to warm you up."
. . . ahem, moving on.
Later that night:
Tess: "Babe! I think I just saw a ghost."
Madi: "You're just tired hon, let just get some sleep."
Tess: "It was watching us!"
. . . . .
The next day Madi confronts Hana when she arrive at work.
Madi: "What was last night about? Were you trying to kill me? What's wrong with you?"
Hana: "Um, I'm lactose-intolerant."
Madi throws her hands up in frustration and storms off to vent to her work-best Aarohi.
Aarohi: "She did what girl, hold on"
Aarohi calls Hana over to explain herself.
Hana: I don't know what you mean. I'm really family-oriented.
Aarohi: What has that got to do with anything?
Hana: I'm kinda clumsy, too.
Madi: You see what I mean?
. . . . .
Okay, as you can see, I'm experimenting a bit with my post style. Sorry this happened half-way in the middle of this. I'll try to be more consistent as I get a bit more experience with all this. No promises.

A day in the life
No Madi, do not taste the science.
Despite her questionable choices, Madi is progressing in her career at a resonable rate and gets along well with her coworkers.
Tess and Madi still spend many of their afternoons studying up at the local library, because they still can't afford to buy the books they need to improve their work skills.
As time passes, they manage to buy a bit more furniture for their home. It's a work in progress.
Madi and Tess always try to take time to remind each other how much they love each other. They're so cute.
Get used to their faces, because I have the life stages set to fairly long. (Like 76 days YA, 100 days Adult, etc)

Settling into the new neighborhood
Madi makes quick friends with Marcus Flex, of all people. Who is married to Cassandra Goth, who I think may be a teen. But that's his buisiness I guess. (I fixed that setting in MCCC, but not soon enough)
Tess has been feeling really depressed for a while. She had such high hopes when they moved here, but she's been feeling unfulfilled in her career, exhausted all the time from her insane workout regime required of her. And she hasn't been able to make any new friends. She confesses all of this to Madi, who listens supportively and comes up with a plan.
She calls her friend Marcus and invites him to join her and Tess for a night of ice skating.
They were not very good at all, but they all had fun. And Tess was pleased to learn this was a great way to work out that didn't leave her sweaty and miserable. She wished she could come here everyday.
Tess came out of her shell enough to even ask Marcus and Madi to build Snow Pals with her.
This random person wants to get involved too. They don't stick around for long.
Marcus finished his first. . . Uh, looks great Marcus. *cough*
Then Madi.
And finally Tess. She really put her heart into it.

With this, I learn that tumblr has a 10 photo per post limit. That's fine. This is an excellent stopping point.
Tess soon feels tired and heads home while Madi stays behind to chat with Marcus a bit longer. I imagine they are talking about his teenage wife and how that is even a thing.

An Ambitious Legacy Beginning
Oh I'm scared and I don't know where to start. Well let's start with a little bit about me. My name is Nickey, I'll be the content creator here. One thing to know about me is I'm terrible at committments. But I also make these ridiculously huge goals for myself that I'll never possibly achieve and will probably give up on after a few days. Well here we go again.
Meet the founders of my newest overly ambitious legacy challenge.
This is Tess and Madisyn OmniFate. They are a newly married couple. (They combined their last names when they got married, isn't that cute?) They've just moved to Oasis Springs with grand dreams of pursuing knowlege and someday starting a family and a lasting legacy of achievement.
Downloaded the home from the gallery, (will credit OC when I look it up later) and then tweaked it to suit Madi and Tess. And basically deleted all furniture because they were broke. There was only kitchen furniture and bathroom (because realistically, that's what would come in a brand new house.)
Madi and Tess married as soon as they got out of school, and used every bit of their savings to move to Oasis Springs and buy their very first home. It was so cute, and charming they both fell in love with it immediately. The only peice of furniture they owned was a cheap futon bed, but the didn't care. They both had jobs lined up in town with promising careers ahead of them, they knew before long the home would be filled with everything they need.
Some info about my gameplay and the challenge:
With this family, I'm attempting to do everything this game has to offer. After much internet research, I accidently stumbled upon a masterlist. (I forget the posters name, but it's my most recent reblog. Will credit when I remember.) I am doing this casually, and at a slow pace for now, and over as many generations as it will take.
As well as that for a challenge, I am adding the additional challenges of Random Legacy Challenge Rolls, and a bit of "whimacy" style play.
The only mod I use is MCCC for story progression, and I have the ages and whatnot set to "realistic" settings. So 4 days for every 1 year.
Why I'm posting this here:
I'm posting this for my own archiving purposes. After hours of research for other ways of blogging, Tumblr seemed to be the most straight forward, and user friendly. I do wish I had an easier way to keep them all together and organized easily to be chapter style. However, I believe the lack of pressure to create long, elaborate storylines will work in my favor here.

Short Omnifate Update 2
Tess wakes up early the next morning, and decides to go to the gym to work on her fitness a bit before work. She needs that promotion and fast. She meets Tammy Walters, the trainer who works there, and the bond quickly. Maybe she's on the way to having a bestie of her own.
After a stressful day at work, Madi relaxes with a mudbath. Hate to be the one to have to clean that tub out. Also, that can't be great for the pipes. Also, what exactly does half-eaten cucumbers over your sunglasses do?

The OmniFate's visit the Flex Family
First of all, I didn't Know this was a thing that sims could do. I think she's drinking milk while taking a bath. Tess, just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
Madi gets to work and opens the seed package she was gifted from Marcus. She realized that it included Basil that she's been needing for a while to make the Red Hot serum. Yay! Thanks Marcus, that's really a great gift.
Later that night, Marcus invited them to her house, and she was very excited to go.
Okay, guys, let me show you some things! We met Marcus's daughter, and she is freaking beautiful!
Have you ever seen a prettier baby? I think not. Dang, Marcus and Cassandra make good babies. My heart, I can't take it. Her name is Nikita Flex (I had to go into CAS to change her name properly, and while I there I had to, I just had to.)
This is what she'll look like as an adult. Her nose is a little large, but we don't mind. She's GORGEOUS! I can't wait to see how she grows up.
It was at this point I learned that Marcus, Cassandra, and Nikita live with Dennis Kim and Eva Capricciosa - another innappropriate age marriage, well at least she's a young adult - I changed last names to husbands last name, as MCCC should have done. Better check my setting again. (Also, can we talk about how good I'm getting at photo editing in Paint?)
Idk guys, I think I'm going to turn back on Teen Marriage, pregancy, etc just to keep the funny drama going in the background. Please don't hate me for this. All teens will be in relationships with the permission of their parents, okay. (well most of them, some of them may simply be rebellious, or stupid, but it will DEFINITELY be consentual, I will not have any yucky shenanigans in my world) I'm so sorry if this decision offends or triggers anyone, please let me know if it does and I will change this back. (Edit: I went ahead and changed the settings, but the likelyhood is only 1 percent so it will be a very rare thing. . . .I hope)
Their house actually suits their personalities really well. I was impressed.
I went ahead and remodeled the bottom left bedroom into a child/teen room for Nikita. I know she's a toddler now, but she should be aging up soon, and this room will suit her as she grows up. Sorry for the weird angle, I wanted you to be able to see as much as possible. I think I did a pretty decent job.
Okay, back to a bit of the action:
Marcus and Tess bond over Foosball.
I looked over and noticed that Dennis was GRAY. I thought he was DEAD. Like Eva? Are you pulling some Black Widow shenanigans? I wouldn't be surprised. He was fine, but I still don't know what that was about.
