What's next?

Well, I have to make the bracket itself. As you can see, there's a bit more cats than I was intending to have, which means that certain polls in round 1 will have more than just two options. I can already tell you that a lot of the cats from the same fandoms are going to be eliminated in round one. That's why I kept them in. I'm planning on making up the first round match ups based heavily on the similarities between cats and the fandoms they're from. ALSO as you've probably noticed, some cats come in a bundle. That's because they're a family. I'm not doing this to Kitty Softpaws and Puss (at least YET), because even though they also get married in the end, there's a huge gap in their submission numbers. If you're wondering, how big, you may want to know that up to Tigger from Winnie the Pooh (that is, almost the entire first pic) are the cats that got 2+ submissions, in their order of popularity.

Next step - brackets!!! I want to do this well and I hope I don't underestimate certain fandoms!!!

Rant bago ako matulog

So nanganak ako nung January 6. Sinugod ako sa hospital nung 4:30am, 5hrs nag labor. Nung gabi ng January 5 naga-away pa kami nung ex ko - tatay nung baby - kase ina-assume nya na kamag-anak ko yung nag comment sa isang post na panindigan daw yung anak nya. Hindi naman ako nakaramdam ng masyadong stress nung gabi na yun, siguro oras na talaga para manganak ako, pero grabeng coincidence naman no?

12pm January 6 nagusap kami sa chat nung mama ng ex ko. Medyo disappointing lang na sabihan ako na dedmahin ko lang yung pagpo-post ng ex ko ng stories/myday na may kasama syang ibang babae. Tapos naman na kame, sinabi ko naman nung November (ata) na okay lang kung may bago sya, pero yung hindi na nga sya nagsu-sustento then malalaman ko na nagba-bar, nakikipaginuman, at nakikipagladian sya as if wala syang nabuntis na dapat nyang panindigan ng maayos? Big NO. Masakit na nga na 1 month palang since nung naghiwalay kami pinalitan ako agad, ang sakit lang din na yung anak nyang sinabi nyang papanindigan nya, di naman nya pinanindigan.

Sinabihan din ako ng mama nya na tutulong sila ng tahimik lang. Idk anong ibig sabihin nung tutulong sila ng tahimik lang? Na magbibigay daw sya ng kung ano lang yung kaya nya, wag daw mag demand ng kung ano-ano. Ang demand lang naman sa anak nya eh panindigan tong baby eh. Literally bare minimum hinihingi.

Sinabihan din ako na babawi anak nya kapag nakapagtapos at nakapagtrabaho. So ano? Ako at pamilya ko lang kakayod habang yung anak nya nakikipag landian at banjing banjing lang? Inom, landian, school, sarap buhay lang? Nice.

Nakakainis lang din na after nyan, yung ex ko na yung nag chat, inulit lang nya tanong ng mama nya na kung saan daw ako nanganak. Ewan ko anong habol or balak nilang gawin, alam ko din naman based sa katarantaduhan na pinaggagagawa ng ex ko na di naman nya gustong panindigan yung baby eh, so baket sya nagtatanong? Tinanong ko baket nya tinatanong saan ako nanganak, sagot nya tanong daw yun ng nanay nya. Para nadin nyang sinabing tinatanong lang nya kase gustong malaman ng nanay nya. Buti pa nanay nya interisado eh.

Naiinis din ako na sinumbat nya sakin work nya na as if naman ginusto kong mawalan sya ng trabaho? Sinumbat pa yung mga araw na absent sya kase absent ko - sumusumpong kase noon sakit ko sa puso. Need ko lang naman magpahinga eh, literal na matutulog lang ako. Ilang beses kong sinabi na pumasok sya, kaya ko naman mag-isa, pero hindi padin sya pumasok. One time nga late na sya, pinilit nya pa mag half day para umuwi kase absent din ako noon. Grateful naman ako na sinamahan nyako tapos ganon, sinumbat nya. Ilang beses ko din sinabi sa kanya na nanghihinayang ako na di sya na-regular sa work kase magaling sya sa tools, pero paulit-ulit nyang sinusumbat sakin yung trabaho nya na parang pinilit ko syang mawalan ng trabaho.

Nanghihinayang ako sa oras, pasensya, pagiintindi, paga-alaga, at pagmamahal na binigay ko sa kanya. Pakiramdam ko nagsayang ako ng isang buong taon sa kanya. Tipong sana pala di nako bumalik sa kanya. Sana pala nung di kami nagu-usap, hinayaan ko nalang na ganun. Kase ngayon pakiramdam ko dinuga ako eh. Na parang ginamit lang ako. Na ginawa akong pampalipas oras at parausan.

Imagine, sya gusto nya magkaron ng anak. May naisip na syang pangalan, kung ilan gusto nyang anak, kung anong gender. Ako ayaw kong magkaron ng anak since di talaga ako mahilig sa bata tsaka para sakin kase hindi ako mentally, emotionally, at financially ready para sa ganto kalaking responsibilidad. Wala nga akong alagang hayop eh, kase nahihirapan ako. Pero eto ngayon, ako at pamilya ko lang meron ang anak ko. Sya na naranasan lumaki na majority ng buhay nya wala syang tatay, sya na gusto magkaron ng anak, sya yung absent. Buti pa nga step father nya sinusustentuhan sya eh.

At dahil wala akong nakikitang effort galing sa kanya or kahit willingness man lang na magawa obligasyon nya sa anak nya, hindi ko na nilagay pangalan nya sa birth certificate ng anak namin. Hindi sila magbibigay ng "tulong" kaya binigyan ko na kaming lahat ng reason para di magbigay ng sustento at di manghingi ng sustento.

Salamat nalang talaga sa pangloloko, at pagsasayang ng oras ko Nathan.

SYA 06

galit si Night.

Mag te-ten na ng umaga at hindi parin sya lumalabas. Hindi ko alam kung nandito ba sya o umalis. Ginawan ko sya ng cupcake kagabi. Actually may natira pa nga para sana ngayong umaga pero wala sya.

Kukuhanin kona sana yung mga cupcake sa ref nang magulat ako wala— wala ang mga cupcake ko.

Padabog akong tumalikod at nabigla nang makita ko si Night na may dalang tray. Akala ko ay lalagpasan nyako ako pero hindi. Pinatong nya ang tray sa may counter.

“Araw” napalingon naman ako. Oo nga pala araw ang inilagay kong pangalan.

Tinaas ko ang mga kilay ko “hmmm?”

“can you bake more cupcakes?” ang sabi n’ya. He look like a dog asking for more food. So innocent.

Akala ko ano na, akala ko ang sasabihin nya na lumayo na ako sakanya. Ang akala ko—

“It’s okay kung ayaw m—“

“Gusto!!” napaigtad na sigaw ko

I saw his little smirk.

“Okay” he nod approving to my answer. He’s still smirking tho.

“Can i help?” Tanong nya habang papunta sa kitchen para mag ayos ng mga gagamitin. Binuksan ko ang giripo at tumango. I saw him smiled in my peripheral view which makes me smile too. Maybe we’re okay now. Baka lang.

I let him wash his hands too on my side. I prepare the things needed nadin.

I noticed na he’s listening attentively sa mga sinasabi ko. So throughout the cooking session wala akong naging problema pwera nalang,

“Ako ang mag ddesign ng cupcake!” nagtatalo kami ngayon sa kung anong kulay ng cupcake. Ang gusto ko ay redblue dahil spiderman.

“Green! Because Christmas is malapit na!” Sagot pa n’ya.

“Night, August palang” pagkaklaro ko

“Still,Ber months na nyan, but yeah. “

He doesn’t argue with me anymore so hindi ko naman si sya pinansin. Dinala nya yung cupcakes sa sala at nilagay sa table. Binuksan nya ang tv at tinawag ako.

“Sol, come here” pumunta naman ako

“Sit down” utos nya sakin puta ano ako aso?

Umupo naman ako, napansin ko na naghahanap sya ng movie na pwede panoorin and I suggest to watch a anime nalang.

“Haikyuu!” Sigaw ko

“The sports anime?” tanong nya at humarap sakin. Tumango naman ako

He tilt his head and answered “mkay haikyuu it is” then he nod

Umupo kame sa may couch, ako sa may isang maliit at sya naman dun sa malaki. Napansin nya ata na hindi ako kumportable dahil walang sandalan iyon. Tinawag nyako at umusog sya sa may gilid at tinapik ang upuan.

Umiling naman ako, pero patuloy parin nya akong tinatawag pero hindi ko sya pinapansin. Kinuha nya ang remot sa mesa at pinause ang tv. Tinignan nya ako ng matagal bago tapikin ulit ang upuan.Tumayo ako at umupo sa couch kung nasaan sya.

Naubos na namin ang cupcake mag mula kanina, naka isang season narin kami. Walang tao sa bahay maliban kina ate yolli, mga nag lilinis dito. Oras nadin para mag lunch kaya tinanong ko sya kung anong gusto nyang ulam.

“ i want nilaga” sus yun lang pala, basic sakin yan. Tinanguan ko sya bago pumunta sa kusina. Iniwan ko ulit sya sa sala, hindi sya nanonood kasi sabi nya dapat sabay kami. Nag cellphone nalang sya.

Saktong alasdose ng matapos ako. Maghahanda na sana ako ng lamesa ng makita kong kumpleto na ang mga gamit. May kutsara at tinidor, may plato, baso at iba. May nakasandok narin na kanin. Si ate Yolli siguro nag handa.

Bumaba narin si Midnight na bagong ligo. Shit eto na naman. Kahinaan ko ang ganito. Fresh.

Umupo sya sa may lamesa. Tatanggalin ko sana ang sobrang plato na nakalagay,

“Nilagay ko dyan yan para kumain ka” madiin nyang sabi habang kumukuha ng tubig. Hindi makapag proseso ang utak ko. Sya nag hain dito at… at.. nagtagalog sya.

Ngumiti ako at tumango tutal normal lang naman dito na makisabay kami kumain sakanila. Umupo ako sa may harap nya.

Ang tahimik kaya dinaldalan ko sya.

“what’s your course again?” I asked while getting rice.

“I’m going to medical school soon, I’m planning to take GS” i look at him with a confused face anong GS?

“Ah GS,” at tumango ako kahit hindi ko naman alam. “General switch” pahabol ko.

He then laughed, “silly, it’s general surgeon”

“Oh? Tama naman ang general” pakikipagtalo ko.

“How about you? Any plans?” Tanong nya, sumubo muna ako bago sumagot.

“Walapa, malayo pa naman next year pa. Makakapagisip pa ako” sagot ko at tumango naman sya.

we just talked about school stuff grabe ang talino. After eating binalikan namen yung pinapanood at nanonood ulit.

Mag gagabi na ng dumating si mama. Tinawag nya ako at kinausap.

“Mukhang close kayo ni Sir Night, nak ah” panimula nya habang nag tutupi ng damit.

“Hindi naman masyado ma” sagot ko.

“Aalis din ‘yan. Paalala kolang sa’yo” at tumango naman ako.

oo nga, aalis din s’ya. Alam ko na ‘yon sa simula palang.
