I'm in holidays, yessssssssssssss ! Moreover, i was thinking of my two sweeties and do you think you can do a scenario, if you haven't to much to do, of Fuegoleon who is over jealous for some reasons ? I can see Nozel joking with this, and it's not helping. But, a lion over possesive and jealous, i want to read what you can write with this ! I'm sorry to bother you if it's to much ... ^^
This was fun! huehuehue
Poor Mailman, somebody better stop Nozel and Leon. When they are Jealous they can become so damn unpredictable.
Well, here goes, enjoy ;)
Jealous Leon escalates:
A knock on the door interrupted the two men’s conversation.They were In Nozel’s office in the castle, as it was that time of the year werethe captains had to evaluate the budget needed for the following year, so theythought they could be pretty much undisturbed. They were just discussing whatto have for dinner, when they were startled by the knocking.
‘Lord Silva?’ asked a young voice from the other side of thedoor, ‘May I enter?’
Nozel seemed to recognize the voice, as his posture relaxed.
‘You may, Philippe.’
Leon shot him a weird look.
Since when does Nozelcare for the first names of others? And why does he look so…happy?
He decided to keep a close eye on whoever was coming throughthat door.
A young man, probably in his late teens or early twentiesentered. He was well kempt, nice stature, pretty blond hair and a face thatstill had some baby fat on it, which, in combination with his big green eyes,made him undeniably cute. He was also dressed in the royal post uniform.
‘Good evening Lord Silva, oh, and Lord Vermillion. I hope I didn’tinterrupt you. I have the documents you have ordered yesterday, Lord Silva.’
He smiled kindly, innocence was dripping from his well-manneredwords. Usually Leon would like an upright young fellow like him, but seeing thesmall smile on Nozel’s face, which wasn’t for him but the other male in theroom. He squinted his eyes slightly at the young man.
‘Oh, that was fast Philippe, thank you very much. I didn’t evenexpect that they would come today.’
Nozel grabbed his pen, ready to sign off the confirmation ofreceival which Philippe handed him. These two had a routine already, and Leon hada hunch that the boy had been spending more time with his man in the last weekthan he had.
He also saw the now slightly red ears of the fellow, whichhad turned that way because of Nozel’s small compliment.
‘O-oh, that is because I had some business to do in the areayesterday evening, so I was able to pick them up after work already.’
Nozel looked him in the eyes and smiled again.
‘Is that so? Then thank you very much for doing this for mein your free time.’
‘It’s nothing, Lord Silva. We of the royal post would go toevery length possible for our customers happiness.’ A wide smile, as bright andbeautiful as the sun lit up the room.
Leon felt like punching someone. Maybe it was the sleep deprivation,but he had a feeling this guy was flirting with his lover. And that his Nozelwas even flirting back!
It took years for himto call me by my first name! Let alone to even smile at me.
He was positively pissed and maybe he did glare a bit at theyoung man, because Philippe’s smile seemed to become a bit strained afterlooking at him. The guy excused himself quickly, nearly fleeing the office.
After the door fell close, Nozel sighed while scooting overthe papers he had just received.
‘What did the poor guy do wrong to receive such hostility fromyou, Leon?’
The question was simple, but Nozel’s tone of voice and the particularlook full of mischief told Leon, that he already knew what had riled theredhead so up.
Leon leaned forwards across the desk, bringing his head onone level with Nozel’s and glared back.
‘You know exactly why!’
Nozel out the papers down and answered with a fake-cluelessexpression.
‘Oh, I am afraid not, Vermillion, I was kind of too busy checkingthat cute guys stunning little butt out to pay attention to your jealousy.’
Leon basically sprung out of the chair, now leaning overNozel, who still coolly met his angry stare.
‘What did you say?’
‘I said that Philippe, the nice postman, has a nice butt,and believe me, he is a very cute, nice and disciplined young man. I saw himfor the better part of the last week, so I can promise you, he is very…pleasingcompany’
The tone was teasing, and somewhere in Leon’s tired brain washis usual voice of reason calmly telling him that Nozel was just messing withhim, that the Silva for sure did NOT have an affair with the mailman, but therewas a louder voice, that told him to get rid of the love rival and then throwhis mate over his shoulder. To show the Silva all over again who he belongedto.
He stood up and left the room, the loud bang of the doorclosing behind him drowned out the ‘Leon?’ behind him.
He strutted down the hallway, looking out for the oh soperfect blond hair that apparently was set to seduce his Nozel.
A familiar voice saying its goodbyes in a close office caughthis attention. There he was, leaving and smiling as brightly as before.
Apparently Nozel wasn’t the only one the boy was out to get.
The moment the door closed again, Philippe found himself be draggedby his collar into a smaller adjoining hallway and then pressed up against awall.
Fearful green eyes in a pale face met angry purple.
‘What are your intentions?’
Leon’s tone was deep, nearly a growl, too. Philippe never hadmet a real Lion before, but he had the feeling, he now knew exactly how anantelope felt 5 seconds from being eaten.
He tried to answer, but the Vermillion held him pretty highand by his collar, so no air reached his panicked lungs. He held on to his bagwith the documents and letters he was yet to deliver, while trying to get on histip toes so he could breathe.
The lord grew impatient, so he repeated the question, this timewith more emphasis.
‘What. Are. Your. Damn. Intentions.?’
‘I- I intent to-to deliver the P-Post, sir’ came the choked-outanswer.
Phillipe tried to stay calm, like he learned in that seminarabout how to react when you are being attacked by a client’s dog or otherpossible dangerous pet. He should probably inform his bosses, that they shouldalso offer courses on how to deal with possible dangerous human companions ofclients, too.
Leon was clearly not satisfied with the young mans answer,so he yanked him up even higher. Philippe, now completely dangling in the air, puton his customer service smile in a try to appease the obviously angered man.
‘You know damn well kid, that I don’t care about your letters.I want to know what your intentions are concerning Nozel!’
‘Lo-Lord Silva? Well, I intent to deliver him his letters,too, Sir.’
Poor Philippe was confused. Had he done something wrong? Heloved his job, so probably not he was quite a stickler to the rules. He alwaystried to be punctual and had his whole routine planned out, so his customers wouldalways know when to expect him. Hell, his bosses had refined their protocolbased on his performances.
He winced at the thought of lagging behind in his schedulealready, and also because he heard the doomed sound of bursting seams. He likedhis uniform, always took care of it with pride, as it was what he had alwayswanted since he first saw someone from the royal Post wear it as a kid. EvenLord Silva had complimented him on always looking professional, which had been quitea surprise, as he had heard of the other being quite cold and detached. Theybonded a bit over their mutual work-a-holic attitude with a good helping of perfectionism,so Philippe wanted to help him out a bit by getting him his documents earlier.
Always 110%, was his motto. Applied to both work ethic andpaycheques.
The interrogation had turned into a staring contest, withFuegoleon glaring into the blond one’s soul and Philippe smiling as bright ashe could with a panicked look in his eyes.
As Nozel entered the scene he couldn’t help but raise aneyebrow at this ridiculous display. He went over to the enraged redhead and puta hand on his shoulder, effectively ripping the two out of their match.
‘Leon, let the boy go. Philippe, I am sure you still havework to do, so you better get going.’
Then he turned around and left again.
Disgruntled, Leon did as Nozel told him to and turned to goafter him, but not without sending one last angry stare at Philippe who hastilybrought his uniform in order again. The message was clear.
Stay away from my Man!
Leon caught up with Nozel halfway to the office, and was metwith a cold shoulder and some choice words.
‘What the hell was that, Vermillion? Do you really think Iwas into him? He definitely did not deserve that, and you acted completely out.’
‘Its not my fault that you were basically slobbering all overhis cute butt, Silva. I had to show him that you are off limits before he triessomething.’
‘Excuse me, that was just playing. Honestly, you shouldprobably take a nap when you are so tired that you don’t understand sarcasm andteasing anymore. If you don’t stop making such an ass out of yourself you mightas well find me in the close future not being “off limits” anymore, understood?’
They had walked next to each other while having their spatin hushed tones so as not to inform the whole castle about their fight and hadreached the office door. There Nozel looked at him for the first time duringtheir fight and Leon saw him being pissed at his behaviour, but the redhead couldn’thelp but still be angry. Then he remembered the second part of his originalplan.
He cornered Nozel against the door, looming over him like apredator.
‘Oh, teasing it was? Well, my dear tease, if it makes youhappy, I am glad to inform you that that just worked alright. And I think Ihave a good idea on how to recompense your words’
Andmake sure you forget all about that Mailman’s ass when I amdone showing you who yours belongs to!

Quiet Comfort - Nozel x Reader
So, I had a really *really* bad day today. I was going to work on requests, but I was simply too emotional. So I wrote this, as a little bit of self-comfort, and I decided I might as well share, maybe someone else finds some comfort in it too.
My brain has decided I love Nozel now, and while I fought it hard, I just had to give in. So without any further ado, enjoy this little piece.
2nd person. GN reader.
Warnings: bad day, bad mood, possible mental health issues, low self-esteem. Good ending for comfort feelings.
Tumblr media
It was one of those days. The kind where you wake up, and you just know something is going to go wrong. And then everything just goes wrong. No matter how hard you try, no matter how positive you try to be, the sinking feeling at the back of your mind won’t go away. The moment that first thing goes wrong, it just starts a domino effect, smaller inconveniences making your day increasingly difficult until the metaphorical bucket is full, and your literal eyes spill over.
There were just so many little things happening and nothing that could comfort you. You had your favorite food prepared for lunch, but the taste was off. You tripped and hit your elbow, and now your arm hurt when you tried to stretch it. Things were going wrong in so many ways that you were sure you did something to piss off some kind of supernatural being. It had to be.
You didn’t want to waste away the day in your bedroom, however big the temptation was. The idea of just putting your nightclothes back on and slipping between the sheets was tempting. The bed, where maybe your lover’s lingering scent would be enough to calm you down and make you feel safe as if everything was going to be okay.
But you were quite sure that the one that would unknowingly be providing that comfort would disapprove of your way of handling this. As devoted and loving Nozel Silva was around you, he still had his pride, work ethic, and family name, and expected you to uphold that as well. After all, you’re family too. Usually, you were quite good at it. The manners, the poise, the hard work,... Today, however, you just wanted to scream your lungs out and cry your eyes empty, dignity be damned.
You bit your lip and walked around a bit, focusing on your breathing as a means to calm down. It worked for a bit, enough to have you gather the courage to go to the captain’s office. You knew Nozel didn’t particularly like it when you interrupted his work, but you figured he wouldn’t be too mad if you didn’t speak. You just wanted to sit near him for a bit, you just wanted to feel better, and you were fairly certain that his presence was just what you needed.
However, when you knocked on the door and you heard him tell you to come in, all that resolve melted away. You stepped inside. He was sitting behind his desk, pen in hand, probably doing some paperwork. He tilted his head slightly, looking up at you with a curious face. It wasn’t your habit to interrupt his work. The moment his eyes met yours, you felt the hot tears sting at the corner of your eyes and you immediately looked down.
Too late, for Nozel was way too observant to miss that little detail.
“Y/n, what’s-”
“Please...let me just sit here for a bit?”
Your voice was more quiet than normal, and you were still looking at your feet. Nozel didn’t immediately answer, further defeating whatever part of your brain thought it was a good idea to come over here when you were like this. You heard his chair scrape back, and the thought of him coming closer and inquiring about what had made you feel this way today was too much.
The first tear spilled over, and the others soon followed now that the dam was broken. You bit your lip, doing your best to hold back on the sobs as your shoulders trembled from the sheer effort. You were too focused on keeping it together to notice what Nozel was doing until you heard a lock click and felt two familiar hands on your shoulders.
Your body acted before your mind could even come up with a reason why you shouldn’t, and you leaped forward, hugging Nozel close and crying in his chest, tears now streaming freely. You were doing your best to keep quiet, already inwardly berating yourself for being such a baby, for being so dramatic, for being so-
“It’s alright.”
His voice put an immediate halt to all those terrible intrusive thoughts before they could even take a darker turn. You choked out another sob, higher-pitched than the previous one, in sad confusion, and you sniffled.
“Whatever it is. However long it takes. It will be alright.”
You couldn’t immediately form a response, but with the way he was holding you, rubbing soothing circles over your shoulders as you let out all the tears and with them all the frustrations and negative emotions for the day.
When the tears stopped flowing and your throat felt raw, you pulled back a little to make eye contact. Nozel’s eyes showed only concern, briefly interrupted by a bit of disgust when you wiped your cheeks and nose on your sleeve.
“I am sorry.” You sounded tired, broken.
“What for?”
“Coming here,” you started, feeling tears welling up again as you felt guilty, “interrupting your work. I know you don’t-” You hiccuped, another sob escaping, “I know you don’t like me bothering you when you’re working. I’m sorry, I-”
A slender finger was gently placed over your lips, effectively shutting you up.
“Stop saying sorry. You will never be a bother to me.”
“bu-”
“Ssh”
He took his finger away from your lips only to cup your cheek, tilting your face slightly so you had no choice but to look him in the eyes.
“I love you y/n. Whatever is plaguing your mind, whatever is bothering you, whatever has happened, there is nothing that will make me stop loving you.”
“I love you too”, you replied, voice still brittle, the sound barely above a whisper. “I just… really had to be with you.”
“Then I’ll stay with you. As long as you need.” He wiped away a few leftover tears, then kissed your cheek.
“But your work..”, you started weakly, not really ready to make a compelling argument but not wanting to be a bother still.
“You will always be more important.”
He took your hand, and gently led you to the couch, sitting down first so you could join after, making yourself comfortable leaning on his chest.
“You don’t have to do this all alone”
“Thank you”
“Do you want to talk about it?”
You nodded, feeling the final tension slip away from your body.
“Yes.”

SO.
Let's try this again🤸🏻
Also Idil vibes strong on this one. I can't say Gil bc Gil calls Ate Sel smth specific like she does with me.
Ship the @mythos-blogs Crew
ps. here's the server <3
@admiringlove
Baby Sam is very hard working and focused on whatever she's doing that sometimes, she forgets to take care of herself. So, I see Sugawara Koushi with her perfectly, someone caring and understanding, but knows better than to let her overwork and tells her when enough is enough. The both of you do struggle with a few things, and when you fight or have insecure moments, you sit down to talk about it instead of shouting at each other. Overall, a really good match I say.
Baby Sam also kins Oikawa and I ship Oikawa hardcore with Suga LMAO
@ninjamomo
Me. That's my wife <333
Okay but for realsies. I ship Idil with Bokuto Koutarou. Bokuto and Idil would be just... soft love. I see dancing in the rain, bathtub relaxation hours together and cuddling in bed. Idil knows that Bokuto is a busy man, and Bokuto knows he is a busy man. But that doesn't mean that they were gonna let the relationship go. Oh no. Those two will hold on like a cat with his claws on the couch. A really really soft, supportive and strong love.
@tooru-luvs
I actually had a hard time with Ms. Zizi. See, I haven't interacted with her much. But, based on the interactions of hers that I see on my tl, I can see that she is very playful but also can be serious. Hence, why I say that she'd be amazing with Kuroo Tetsurou. Kuroo is playful and an overall gremlin, but he's very caring ang knows exactly when to be serious and how serious. He'll help her with anything he can help her with, but he also knows when no to because it's something Zizi needs to do for herself. Likewise, Zizi knows when to be cheery to make Kuroo smile, but also when to sit and talk to Kuroo about a delicate matter. They'd both ground each other, while matching the same playful energy.
@rokudaddie
HEY I CAN TAG HER NOW KSKSKS
ME ME ME ME ME
anyways hehe. Gly. Lovely, sweet, Gly. She's very caring, but my god does she also enjoy chaos. Hence, I'm putting her with Hoshiumi Korai. We all know Hoshiumi is a little gremlin with a heart of gold. The way these two are together would be immaculate. They're chaos together, but even with all the chaos, they have time to look at the other to make sure they're okay. PLUSSS! Hoshiumi will always unconsciously be touching Gly, just to make sure that she's there. Gly would unconsciously make sure that Hoshiumi is in her peripheral vision too.
@moonlit-island
Ooooh Raya! Raya is so damn sweet and caring and uplifting. I love her sm. Hehehe anyway I ship her with Tsukishima Kei. The Tarot cards said so, and so did the zodiac signs. SKSKS Anyway! Yes, a really good match. Raya's got a really good head on her shoulders, but I see her watching all the chaos from the sidelines, much like Tsukishima. When they're together, they'd start the chaos and then sit back and eat popcorn as they watch the world burn.
@laineeey00
Ate Laine? Some will definitely say Kita, because it's Ate Laine, but I say Hirugami Sachiro. Hirugami would be such a good man for Ate Laine. I imagine them sitting down in the living room, books spread out on the table. Just silence while studying, but every now and then, one of them would look up to look at the other, smile and then return back to what they were doing. Ate Laine makes sure that Hirugami takes breaks and Hirugami makes sure that Ate Laine isn't stressing so much. Just so cute honestly.
@betheydocrimewrites
Ah, Adult Sam. Hmmm. Adult Sam is a whirlwind of chaos and sweet, sweet angst. I definitely see them with darling Yamaguchi Tadashi. I see them in bed, Sam on his laptop, and him just hugging them tight when something they were writing was choking them up. But, Sam is just overall an amazing person that they deserve someone so sweet and caring like Yamaguchi. Obvi, it is reciprocated, and I see such a sweet love in the works.
@melsun
Oooh. Alice.
Melian and Matsukawa Issei would make a very interesting pairing. Both independent yet still co-dependent on each other. Melian knows how to calm Matsukawa after a tough day at work, and Matsukawa knows how to keep Melian from stressing. Matsukawa would also hype Melian up so much?? Like any outfit Melian wears, Matsukawa's right there telling them how good and amazing they look and how well they matched the outfit up. Honestly, just a very functional household and I love that.
@lovemeian
oh oof Lavi. I want to say Meian but for reasons I cannot disclose, I won't say that for now. I will say though, that she will be so good with Dabi. Lavi has a few things she needs to work on, and Dabi is always there for her. Actually lbr, they both have issues to work on, but I feel like together, they'd overcome that. I feel like they'd?? Actually be so understanding of each other that it shocks and confuses others bc?? hello it's Dabi?? but yes, a really good match.
@writewithmarites
Me <3
Severus Snape. Ate Tes is chaotic. I'm sorry but her default in the server is chaos, especially with the bot around HAHAHAHA but anyway! Severus would be so good to ground Ate Tes, keep her from getting a little too chaotic BUT ALSO, he can help her when she's not taking care of herself. She also helpes him with his potions, and it makes the job easier on him. But of course, Severus is a slytherin, and most of the time he'd be the one inciting the chaos and we just don't know it. Anyway, Ate Tes is honestly so wonderful and I love her sm and she deserves someone to tame like the serious, bratty, angsty Severus Snape. <333
@saudade-mayari
ME. AGAIN LMAO. <3
ANYWAY
Nozel Silva. Nozel and Ate Sel. Oh gosh what a thought. Nozel is....arrogant, prideful, and he sees himself as someone more important than others. But, the man does know respect and he does care for people, especially Ate Sel. I have no doubts that Ate Sel can make that man kneel and follow her wishes, but I also know that Ate Sel would not let this man get away with his arrogance and pride. Nozel cares for her a lot. She's his partner, the carrier of the future of House Silva, and the only one that has caught his attention. He loves her, and that man would drop nearly everything for her.
@risumu
Eris! Eribabe and Ojiro Aran. Idek why. But the vibes would be so immaculate. I see road trips and early morning dancing in the kitchen to an indie song one of them is hyperfixated on. I also see late night walks to the convenience store, holding hands and just silence? Basking in each other's prescence. Eris definitely steals Aran's sweaters to the point that Aran buys two of his sizes so he can interchange them. One to give to Eris when the one she took doesn't smell like him anymore. Love all over the place.
@sunarent
Mel. That's it.
Okay but also, I see Iwaizumi Hajime. I was thinking about Suna but the more I think back about the things I know about Ali and our interactions, I see Iwa. I feel like they'd understand each other so much. And the love isn't seen much, not because they don't love each other, but because it's something they need to say really. It's more shown in the touches and kisses and cuddling. They know that they love each each other, and that's enough for them.
@tetsvhoe
Honestly I want to say Kuroo but.
Kozume Kenma. Gwennie works so hard and stresses so much. Her sleeping sched is unavailable lmao. Kenma would be so good for her because he knows how it is, to be stressed and not have an actual sleeping sched. I feel like they'd be good together. In all honesty, they'd probably take care of each other more than they would themselves but no one is complaining really.
@slutbench
MY BABYYYY. MY DAUGHTER. I LOVE YOU SM AND I SWEAR I'M NOT MAD.
I ship you with...
Azumane Asahi. Why? Because you remind me of Noya sometimes. Very energetic, a little bit of low moments and just a ball of sunshine in general. Asahi is perfect for you, Mija. He'd be able to just connect with her in ways others just don't understand. People would say that Asahi is too...soft? They'd say someone like Daicho or maybe Bokuto would be better for you, Mija, but really, he's perfect. Asahi and Gil. He balances her out in so many ways, even if no one else can see it.
@ushisrever
NIA!
Ushijima Wakatoshi. Really, the two of them are perfect. Stoic, quiet, can be chaotic. Very protective, even if the two deny it. Nia, you and Ushi are like...pillars? Support? Quiet, unmovable, but still, everyone knows you're both there, and you don't really leave people's minds. I see the two feeding off of each other's energy, especially when it comes to protecting others that they care about. (Looking at you, Lavi) I see hours where it's just her watching him playing in the background and he just looks at her, smiles, and then goes back to playing. It's really cute.
@sumebreaks
MAIA! HI! We haven't interacted much, I'm so sorry for that sweets. bUT BUT BUT!!!!
You're so sweet and caring and loving??? I really see you with Miya Atsumu! I see Tsumu bugging you to take a break and give him attention. BUT! I also see you?? Bugging him, telling him to get off the court or he's sleeping on the couch HAHAHA I feel like you two really just? Connect. Both playful, both caring, both are busy with their own things so there's not too much expectations that cannot be met for now. Idk I really see a love that's always there, no matter how busy they get.
@vindictivtsumu
AAAAAH DEVON HUN!
I love Devon and their writing so much??? Omg. Yknow who would be amazing with them? Akaashi Keiji. Akaashi is very articulate and just overall book smart in my opinion, and I see that him and Devon would fit so well. He is Devon's personal beta reader HAHAHAH BUT!!!!! Devon also watches Akaashi edit and points out anything that he missed. I see days when they're just sitting there, talking softly to each other that the sound of typing was louder. But that's okay bc you both are content and happy and in love.
@ricflairdrip20
I just met you not even 24 hours ago hehehe HIIII
I will not lie.
I asked for help from Ate Sel HAHAHHAHA
But!!!! She says Ukai Keishin, and honestly I see it. The nsfw-rp channel is the reason why and I'm not saying more HAHAHAHA I see nights when it's Keishin and her just? Idk having fun and being kids bc lbr that man can be a kid sometimes. I also see them taking care of each other in unconventional ways, ways that would not be okay for others, but it's her love language with him. V v v domestic.
I HOPE Y'ALL MYTHOS CREW LIKED THAT MATCHING UP BYE

Nozel Silva x reader
A 100 follower raffle one-shot for @wildcreationmagic ! Enjoy!
Nozel Silva hated things that didn't make sense. This world was a simple one, as far as he knew. The amount of magic a person had dictated their entire life: whether they could join the magic knights, whether they were royalty or nobility, and whether they were worthy of Nozel's acknowledgement. As the Captain of the Silver Eagles squad, he only chose the very best to fight alongside him. Those with powerful magic that came from their bloodline, rarely a commoner that just managed to get lucky.
And yet...
You somehow made it into his squad.
Your magic was amazing, he admitted that much. It was Wild Magic, the ability to create temporary creatures that you could command on your own. It was as close as someone could get to creating life, something many mages had sought after. You were the hot pick for that exam, and everyone was surprised when you were taken into the Silver Eagles, a squad well-known to be exclusive to nobles. However, you weren't fazed by it in the least. Even Nozel had to admire you. However, the same wasn't true for his two younger siblings.
"You won't believe what I saw the other day," Solid sneered. "You know that commoner in the squad? I caught Noelle talking to her! Like they were old friends, too."
"How disgraceful... Noelle, speaking to a commoner? I mean, I guess she would stoop that low."
Nozel said nothing, just nodded along with a blank expression on his face.
------
"That mage in the woods has been stealing a lot from our storehouses lately. We really appreciate you tracking them down for us."
Nozel wasn't sure how he ended up on this mission to the boonies. This was work more befitting of a lower squad such as the Black Bulls or the Grey Deer. But he had to go, it was the Wizard King's orders. The one problem was...
"Don't worry, sir, we'll catch this crook in no time!" you told the mayor proudly, saluting. "The Silver Eagles are the very best you could wish for!"
The two of you walked off into the woods after that, searching for any sign of the troublemaker. You hummed to yourself as you walked, your cloak swishing behind you and your hair bobbing around your head. Nozel caught himself staring out of the corner of his eye and quickly looked away. No, no NO! She is NOT cute. I do NOT think she's cute. "You know, you shouldn't be so optimistic in front of the civilians," Nozel finally said, referring to your behavior earlier. "We're used to more important tasks, after all, these types of missions are menial. Also, don't be so friendly. They'll start getting friendly, too."
"I don't get what's wrong with being friendly," you answered, scowling a bit at his words. "And this is important. Our job is to protect the kingdom, right?"
"I'm Royalty. The affairs of peasants don't bother me," he replied, glancing back over at you. "There are much more pressing issues we could be dealing with right now."
You suddenly stopped and placed your hands on your hips. "I'm royalty this, I'm royalty that, honestly Nozel, you're a magic knight. You swore to protect every member of this kingdom, right?"
Nozel was shocked at the audacity, but it was also... kind of hot. But you were still talking back to your captain. "I don't appreciate being talked to like this," he snapped. "Anyway... yes, I swore that. But the way I see it-" Suddenly, he stopped, sensing mana behind you. "Look out!" Without hesitation, he leaped forward and pushed you to the ground, a moment before a spike of ice went zipping by. "This might be the criminal, let's go!"
You nodded and sprung back to your feet. "Wild Creation Magic: Power of the Pack!" Instantly, four wolves materialized around you, their eyes glowing. They sniffed the air and took off in the direction of your attacker. "This way!"
Wow... that's pretty amazing, Nozel caught himself thinking. NO! Get your mind straight... He shook of the thoughts and ran off after you and the wolves.
"They should be right up ahead..." Suddenly, your eyes widened as the mana from your wolves disappeared. "He's strong! And-" You spotted another flurry of ice shooting towards Noel. No! Nozel! Thinking quickly, you grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the way while yelling out another spell. "Butterfly barrier!" Nozel blinked in surprise as the ice was blocked just before it hit him. You spotted a small cave as more ice rained down, at least that would be a covered area to launch a counterattack. You and Nozel jumped inside before turning around. "Now, we can-"
Ice was suddenly covering the entrance, trapping you inside. Nozel grit his teeth, "This isn't a problem." He sent a few mercury spears, but they glanced off the ice without any damage. "Huh? It's really that durable?"
The criminal ran away, leaving you two to futily try to chip away at the ice. "No! We're going to have to wait for it to wear off..." you groaned, sitting down heavily on the ground. Nozel kicked at it for a few more minutes before slumping down against the cave wall. "It's your fault we're in this mess."
"My fault? I just saved your worthless life," you spat back. Nozel opened his mouth to say something back, but then looked away. She's right... she saved me. She's right about a lot of things...
You sighed, casting your gaze down. "I'm sorry... that was uncalled for,"
"No. It was." Nozel turned back to look down at you. "...Thanks for saving me. We'll probably have to spend the night in here, though."
You nodded, then shivered as the ice started to cool down the cave. Nozel noticed, then cautiously scooted closer to you. "You're cold?"
"...yeah." You hugged your knees to your chest, trying to trap in your body heat. You glanced up as Nozel was suddenly only inches away from you.
This is embarrassing... yet, I may not get this opportunity again. I'm a fool, after all. "If you're uncomfortable, we can...uh... you know..." Nozel gulped and looked away, doing his best not to blush. "...share body heat."
You stared at him for a moment, incredulous. Nozel thought that your silence was a rejection, but then he looked back to see your cheeks dusted with pink.
"Ah... okay."
Wait, she actually said yes? Nozel snapped out of it and awkwardly wrapped an arm around you, pulling you into his chest. His eyes widened at how cold you were. "Here..." He took off his cape and spread it over the two of you like a blanket. "The only reason I'm doing this is because it's practical, you know."
You raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? Then, I can do this to rest my head, right?" He stiffened up as you gently laid your head on his shoulder. After a moment, he relaxed.
"I suppose."
The two of you laid in silence, passive-aggressively cuddling each other as the sun went down and the cave went dark. The feeling of your body next to his was comforting... no, thrilling.
Look at me. I’m really falling in love with a commoner, aren't I?
"Nozel?"
"Yes?"
"...I'm sorry for talking back so much today. I just... really don't like the way you Royals look down on commoners."
"No, I deserved it. In fact..." You felt his head come down to rest on top of yours, making your heart flutter a bit. "Thank you. I need someone like you to tell me when I'm wrong."
You smiled to yourself at the admission, letting your hand rest on his chest. "...damn right you do."
With that, you both eventually drifted off to sleep. It was cold in that cave, but by morning, the ice had melted from the entrance. You had a feeling that ice was melting from someone's heart, as well.

Summary: Yami Sukehiro just wanted to join the Magic Knights and make his mentor proud.  He knew there would be trails.  He knew trouble would come his way.  Knew he would be faced with discrimination for being a foreigner and a peasant.  What he didn’t know.  Didn’t expect.  Was that literal Chaos would come his way.  That he and his mentor’s sister would be at the center of world ending trouble.  Or that he would fall in love with his mentor’s sister and face more than discrimination; but the jealously of Nozel Silva who loved the same woman he did.

Chapter 91
The next day Yami woke-up and got to the breakfast table later than usual.  Entering the dining hall, he took in Teris’ empty seat and frowned.
Sitting at his spot to the left of Jax’s empty seat, Yami asked Tobin. “Teris come down yet?”
“Why you asking me when you can sense her mana?”  Tobin questioned, shoveling another forkful in his mouth.
“Just answer the damn question.”  Yami snapped, not willing to admit he’d agreed not to track Teris’ mana when they were at home.  Teris saying some nonsense about privacy.
Tobin shrugged.  “Haven’t seen her.”
“She was up and busy before I was.  And I was up before dawn making breakfast.”  Abril said.
Yami quirked a brow wondering if Teris had gone to bed at all.
“What’d you do?”  Tobin asked, looking at Yami.
Yami started in on his food.  “Don’t know what you mean.”
Bran looked down the table at Yami, wondering if he should tell him.
Tobin smirked.  “You two went out riding last night.  What happened? Push for a little too much?”
“Don’t be crass.”  Abril scolded Tobin.  Looking back at Yami, she told. “But Teris was mad as hell about something.”
“I’ll fix it.”  Yami snipped.
“No doubt.”  Tobin grinned.
“She left.”  Bran blurted.
Even Gendry lifted his eyes from his plate at that.
Bran swallowed under Yami’s brooding stare and explained.  “I was woken up by a pack of Saber Cats making a ruckus.  Knowing they’d disturb the Wolves, I got up and used my magic to ride the Alpha and lead the pack away.  Teris was already up.”
So she probably hadn’t gone to bed, Yami thought.  Damn it.  She really was mad.
“She say where she was going?”  Yami asked, hoping Teris would be back before supper so they could set things right and possibly got out for another ride.
Bran shook his head.  “No.  Only that she’d be back in a couple days.”
“What!” Yami stormed.
Sitting to the right of Teris’ empty spot, Abril saw the fork in Yami’s hand bend in his grip.
Muttering a stream of curses, Yami threw the utensil down.  Seeking out her mana, he sensed Teris somewhere in the direction of Rizon.  He had half a mind to track her down but refrained.
Getting to his feet, Yami barked.  “Gendry.  I need your help resetting a post for the training pens.”
Gendry looked up.  “What happened?”
Ignoring the question, Yami told.  “I’ll be out there.  Join me when you’re done.”
Still chewing, Gendry wiped his mouth and got to his feet.
Yami was halfway to the door when he called.  “Could use your help too, Bran.”
Bran shot out of his seat but was able to stop himself from dashing to Yami’s side.
Despite his sour mood, Gendry smiled.
Tobin looked over his shoulder watching the three men go.  He turned back to Abril.  “Couldn’t help but notice you weren’t talking Gendry’s ear off.  You two have a fight too?”
Frowning, Abril got up leaving Tobin alone at the table.
91.1.2
Having used his magic to form another post and drive it into the ground, Gendry stood back.  Yami lifted the training pens heavy gate. Standing by the post, Bran helped guide the gates hinges in place.
“So what’d you and Teris fight about?”  Gendry asked.
“We didn’t fight.”  Yami snapped.  He looked to make sure Bran’s fingers were out of the way and lowered the gate.
Undeterred by Yami’s temper, Gendry pressed.  “Then why’d she leave without telling you?”
“Cause she’s hurt, angry, and a stubborn, stupid, prideful brat.”  Yami found himself getting angrier at Teris’ behavior.  He could understand her being upset.  And while he hadn’t liked it, he could even understand her leaving him the way she had last night.  But for her to leave for two days without word or letter left for him... That Yami could not understand, and refused to let become the norm for future disagreements.
“Abril and I are fighting.”  Gendry confessed.
Bran looked at Gendry.  Yami kept his back turned, hoping his friend would stop there.
Gendry jutted a chin at Bran.  “Your friend.  Ricte.  Abril’s been corresponding with him since you all took Vanessa to your folks.  She called me stupid.  Says that they’re just friends.  But I saw the way he looked at her.”
“He likes her.”  Bran needlessly confirmed.  He frowned at the ground, feeling as if he had betrayed Gendry because his best boyhood friend liked Abril.
Yami sighed.  He could relate to what Gendry was feeling.  Granted Teris realized sometime back, and fairly early in their relationship that Nozel did have feelings for her passed those of mere friendship.  But that hadn’t made things easier.  While he didn’t have to trust Nozel in order to trust Teris with Nozel; that didn’t mean there weren’t issues.
Yami turned to Gendry.  He wasn’t good at helping people with their feelings.  But he knew how to blow off steam.
“Wanna take the wolves out with me?”  Yami asked.
Gendry nodded.
“Sounds good to me.”  Bran said.  His head ducked when Yami looked at him.
“Hope you don’t cower like that if we come across that pack of Saber Cats.”  Yami said.
“I won’t.”  Bran promised, brightening.
“He rides with you.”  Yami told Gendry.
91.2
“I heard you let Captain Jax give all but one member of his squad two days off to go to some girls birthday party.”  Jorah said.
Seated before the Wizard Kings desk, Greywright continued to read through reports.  “The Black Bulls have been through a lot.”
Jorah smirked at the Knights Commander’s excuse.  Lowering his quill, he looked up at the man.  “Other squads have lost members over the years.  Members certainly more honorable and beloved than Bronn Rendel ever was.”
“And if their Captain's had requested two days leave for their squad during those occasions, I might've allowed it.”  Greywright said.
“So you only allowed it because Captain Jax asked and the Bulls lost their Vice Captain?”  Jorah questioned.
Greywright’s eyes lifted, meeting the Wizard King’s gaze.  “That’s right.”
“You allowed the Black Bulls two days off to go to some party as easement for losing their Vice Captain five months ago?”
“There’s no time period on grief, sir.”
“True.” Jorah allowed.  “And if the Black Bulls were indeed grieving the loss of their Vice Captain, I might find your answers somewhat believable.  But we all know that, though Bronn Rendel’s death was a distressing and unfortunate loss, no one but maybe Captain Jax and retired Senior Healer Gilly Shae are mourning him.”
“What are you trying to say, sir?”
Jorah smirked, eyes twinkling.  “Your favoritism is showing.”
“Is not.”  Greywright frowned.
“So you finally admit you have a favorite?”  Jorah teased.
“I…” Greywright stared, at a loss for words.
Jorah’s smile grew into a toothy grin.  “After all these years of you getting after me, chastising me like a child--”
“I would never dare chastise you, sir.”
“--pointing out my displays of favoritism for Julius; Magic Knights Commander Greywright Solas is guilty of the same.”  Jorah went on.
“I am not.  I--”
Jorah looked at him expectantly.
Greywright ran a hand roughly over his face.  He sat back, forgotten reports lowering to his lap.  “I am, aren’t I.  I’m a hypocrite.”
“Don’t be so hard on yourself, Commander.  Though I caution you to be more mindful.”
Greywright straightened.  “Why?  Who complained?”
“No one.  Yet.  Even if you did it mainly to give your favorite a respite, I think most would agree that the Blacks Bulls have been through a lot and deserved a break.  But show such ease and preference again, and I doubt the other Captain's would be so understanding or forgiving.”
Greywright nodded.  “Yes, sir.  Understood, sir.  Sorry.”
Jorah picked up the quill, the two men returning to work.
After a moment, Jorah asked.  “So your truly like Teris Nova for your position?”
“She’s still got a lot to learn and ways grow.”
“Well of course.  She’d have to be a Grand Magic Knight to even be considered for such a role.”  Jorah said.
“Never mind you being ready and willing to retire.”  Greywright pointed out.
Jorah inclined his head, always appreciative when his Commander reminded him that he would stick with him till the end.  “But that’s not what I asked.”
Greywright paused, considering his words.  Finally, he said.  “If she keeps growing in the direction she has been and is ranked Grand Magic Knight whenever you do decide to retire, yes.  I plan on putting her name forth and suggesting her as Magic Knights Commander to the new Wizard King, as is my right.”  He met Jorah’s gaze.  “I see no reason why your favorite shouldn’t have the best severing him as Knights Commander, and fully believe Teris Nova is and will undoubtedly be the best.”
“Doubtful she will be a Nova by then.”  Jorah replied.
“Her name and societal rank are of no matter to me.  It’s not as if the hierarchy gets a say in who becomes Knights Commander.  If they did, you’d be putting up with someone else.”
Jorah ignored Greywright’s sardonic comment.  “It wouldn’t look good. Julius naming his sister as his Knights Commander.”
Greywright didn’t mention that Julius becoming Wizard King wasn’t a certainty; because it all but was.  Instead he said.  “If and when Julius is made Wizard King, he will no longer have a sister, or any family for that matter.  A person must cut familial ties and cast aside their family name, taking on a new one, before they’re sworn in as Wizard King.  You know that better than anyone, sir.”
“She’s stubborn and prideful.”
“All great Knights Commander’s are.”  Greywright quipped.
“She has a temper, and from what I hear can hold a grudge.”
Greywright frowned, remembering his angry disappointment at Teris for being part of the disturbance the night of the Star Awards.  “If you recall, I once did too.  As I said, she’s still got a lot to learn and ways grow.”
Jorah scratched his jaw and sighed.  “You really set on this course, aren’t you?”
“I understand it won’t be without it’s struggle.”  Greywright said.
“Or there may be no struggle at all.”
“Sir?”
Jorah sat back, lacing his fingers.  “Only a citizen of the Clover Kingdom can serve the role of Knights Commander.  If Teris refuses to obey her family’s command to wed Nozel Silva, she may very well be banished before we ever get to the point where you can suggest her for such a position.”
Greywright opened his mouth, but no words can out.
“I suppose I now have a personal reason to see Teris Nova isn’t banished even if she selfishly follows through with her threat to disregard her familial duty.”  Jorah uttered, more to himself.
“Sir?”
Jorah’s eyes fixed on Greywright.  “I already told you, for the safety of this kingdom I will not allow Yami Sukehiro or Teris Nova to leave, either by force of banishment or by will.”
Greywright stared.  “But…  How?”
“Like I do with all things.  Watch events carefully.  Tread as lightly as possible.  And when things come to a head, take quick decisive action only if and when I must.”  Jorah gave Greywright a wink as he took up his quill once more.  “Don’t you worry, Commander.  I will do my duty to keep this kingdom safe by seeing what could be the greatest weapon we’ve ever known kept in our hands; and in the process, see your favored hopeful remains here to get a chance to one day take your place.”
91.3
Yami returned sweaty and dirty from the long ride with Gendry and Bran. They had found the pack of Saber Cats, scattering them and killing a few.  Two separate mission orders had been waiting upon his return. Bran volunteered for one.  And Yami had sent him out with Abril; sending Tobin and Gendry out on the other.
Jax had given Venice five days leave to visit her family.  So she hadn’t returned with them from Bran’s parents, instead traveling to her family home.  With Olsen yet to return from last light, and Teris and Jax gone, Yami found himself at the base alone with Iban.
After a long hot bath and meal, Yami entered Iban’s lab to find the man measuring some black liquid out with a dropper.
“Vice Captain.  To what do I owe--”  Iban’s words were cut off, Yami spinning him around.
A large, strong hand wrapped around Iban’s throat.  Yami slammed the Blood Mage back against the table and squeezed.  Iban gurgled, fighting the instinct to claw at Yami’s hand.
Grip easing, Yami demanded.  “What are you playing at telling Teris I came down here asking questions?”
“I assumed you shared everything with your counterpart.”
“Liar!” Yami spat, fingers digging in for a second.  “Your little ritual is Black Magic.  Olsen told me as much.”
“Not that you needed him to.”  Iban taunted, unphased by the threat of Yami’s hand around his throat.
“If you wanted me to agree to the thing, you canceled any chance of that last night.”
“We’ll see.”
Ignoring the smug tone, Yami went on.  “And the other.  You’re not getting Teris’ blood or anything else from her.  Speak to her of deals like that again and I’ll end you.”
“The lady doesn’t belong to you yet, Yami Sukehiro.”
Yami’s hand squeezed.  Iban had a point.  Teris didn’t belong to him yet. But he already belonged to her.  She was his Princess.  His purpose. His life.  And he would see her protected.  Even if it was from her own insatiable curiosity.
“This isn’t one of your bargains, you creepy overgrown mosquito.  Speak to Teris of deals again and you die.  You so much as listen to her ask questions and offer anything in exchange.  You die.  Get near her long enough for any of the like to be done.  And you die.  Is that understood.”
“Is this in place of the previous guidelines or in additi--”  Iban gurgled, Yami’s hand tightening.
“You want to die now?  Doubt anyone will care enough to look too hard into what happened.  No one but maybe Olsen will miss you.”  Yami turned his head to the side, leaning in.  “What’s that?  I can’t hear you.”
Released with a shove, Iban coughed, sucking in lungfuls of air.
“Give me another reason to come down here and deal with you and I’ll crush your neck.”  Yami snarled.
Iban shivered, but not from Yami’s threat.  There was a biting cold radiating off the man.  “You’re feeling invincible, Vice Captain. And rightly so.  The time of Darkness is rising.  But you won’t always be this powerful.  If you survive your time of trial, you will face Chaos.  A force neither Life nor Death could hope to survive. My offer still stands.  I can help you remember what the page of Chaos speaks to you.
“So you can go telling Teris?”
“A misjudgment on my part.  It won’t happen again.”
“You’re right.  Cause there’ll be nothing for you to tell her or anyone else.”  Yami snapped.  “It’s not happening, Creepy.  It’s Black Magic.”
“Which you knew when I first mentioned it.  Or are you still pretending that you did not?”  Iban smirked.
Iban could tell Yami was interested.  Yami wasn’t a fool.  He knew his time was coming.  That the Agents of Chaos would want him and Teris again so they could continue what they started.  Even if Yami didn’t care about himself.  His desire to protect Teris was a weakness that made him easily manipulated.
“I never got to tell you what the spell entailed.  Do you still wish to know?”  Iban tempted, gold eyes shimmering in the candlelight.
With Teris mad and hurt over this secret, the answer took little thinking. Yami turned away, making for the stairs.  “No.”
“You know where to find me should you change your mind.”  Iban called after him.
Comments are VERY MUCH appreciated and really make my day.  Thank you to those who have left hearts.  And a special THANK YOU to those who have recently commented or re-blogged. It really means a lot.
***If you didn’t catch the fun ask I answered about Nozel this weekend and are interested, I posted it in the notes on ao3; or you can find it on my tumblr page.

Teris’ pride and anger vanished in an instant.  She looked up at him wondering if she had truly messed up and he was breaking up with her. “What are you saying?”
