The Five Good Emperors of the Roman Empire (96 - 180 CE)
An infographic illustrating the succession of Roman rulers between 96 and 180 CE, known as the Five Good Emperors (a term unknown to the ancient Romans, coined by Nicolo Machiavelli in his 1531 manuscript Discourses on Livy and made widely popular by Edward Gibbon in his 18th century The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire,) Nerva, Trajan, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius, and Marcus Aurelius. Those were everyone but two of the Nerva-Antonine Dynasty, with Lucius Verus and Commodus not making the cut. During the time of this “kingdom of gold” (Gibbon), the Roman Empire “was governed by absolute power under the guidance of wisdom and virtue.” (Gibbon) The 84-year period is widely accepted as the high point of the Empire, with Imperial Succession ensured through adoption based on merit and acceptance rather than a strict bloodline.

“In the early sixteenth century, Nicolo Machiavelli presaged the arrival of the modern state with his short book The Prince (1513). For Machiavelli, the state was indeed a morally autonomous institution, whose behavior on behalf of its own preservation could be judged against no external standard, whether the decrees of a pope or any code of moral principle. No wonder the Church condemned Machiavelli's political philosophy so severely: it was precisely this view that the great Catholic theologians of Spain so emphatically denied. The state, according to them, could indeed be judged according to principles external to itself, and could not act on the basis of mere expedience or narrow advantage if moral principles were trampled in the process.
In sum, Spanish theologians of the sixteenth century held the behavior of their own civilization up to critical scrutiny and found it wanting. They proposed that in matters of natural right the other peoples of the world were their equals, and that the commonwealths of pagan peoples were entitled to the same treatment that the nations of Christian Europe accorded to one another. That Catholic priests gave Western civilization the philosophical tools with which to approach non-Western peoples in a spirit of equality is quite an extraordinary thing. If we consider the Age of Discovery in the light of sound historical judgment, we must conclude that the Spaniards' ability to look objectively at these foreign peoples and recognize their common humanity was no small accomplishment, particularly when measured against the parochialism that has so often colored one people's conception of another.

Yeaaa buddy life is unfair, why there's soo many bad people has reach a good life, why they're always won the life competition. Well today I'm gonna tell you the reason, but becareful with this, I'm not here to tell you how to be a bad guy, but use this as protection yourself from people like them, soo go get yourself comfortable and here we goo.
"THE DARK TRIAD"
Dark triad is a psychological theory of personality. It's a combination of three bad traits: Machiavellianism, narcissism, and psychopathy
If someone have all these three traits they will be fearless, and always on top of the food chain, even they have to sacrifice the others for their own pleasure. They could be around us, acts like a normal guy, but actually they're THE DEVIL INCARNATE.
MACHIAVELLIANISM
This concept was founded by Nicolo machiavelli political philosopher, Machiavellianism is a personality trait centered on manipulativeness, deception, callousness, and indifference to morality, with high levels of self interest. The Macheviallist have an ability to Exploit people for their own sake. Most of them are smart and intelligent but they use it for reach their own sake without caring about what have they done are Immoral and Unethical.
NARCISSISM
Trait number two is Narcissism. Narcissism is an tendency of humans to focus on their self pride, they will tend to looks arrogant, selfish, and have no emphaty. Because they thought that they are an individual who is superior, and more important than others. They tend too not afraid of any other people, when they see someone upon them they will say "i can be more better than that person".

PSYCHOPATHY
People with this traits are not always addicted with blood. But people who don't have conscience, and lack of empathy
Some people think that DARK TRIADS are fully bad. But actually if you can use it in a good way, you will have a successful life, If you can research this traits you can find that many people use it in a good way, for example the nation who use this dark triads can make their nation are greater than before, like when Rome says that they're the great nation and the other nations are just a barbarian, they bring their nation to be the greatest nation in the world in their time.

Listen here, Old Fritz was an amazing ruler. He was more interested in music and philosophy than war.
BUT he has great experience in the art of war and was a brilliant strategist.
Guys. He believed in absolutism, that the ruler should be the first servant of the State.
Guys, It's almost certain Old Fritz was gay.
He died childless.
He lost his reputation because Hitler idolized him and he became a Nazi symbol.
Which is a damn shame because he genuinely built the foundation that allowed Prussia to contest the Austrian Hasburgs leadership.
Guys he made library of poetry.
Guys he wrote "Anti- Machiavel" because he disliked Nicolo Machiavelli's "The Prince".
Old Fritz recieved his title 'the Great' after, at 33 years old, he got Austria to sign the treaty of Breslau & Dresden giving Prussia Silesia. I'm so proud and I'm not even Prussian.
Guys Old Fritz known as the Potato king. He was so clever.
He was against animal cruelty.
He was a francophile I'm crying XD.
He died at 74.

I found you almost 2 years ago thanks to your Boromir/Aragorn fics and you got me pretty curious about the Greomer couple, a thing that I couldn't conceive but you managed to write down some real works of art, so really thanks for that! I'm so glad that you enjoyed my Aragorn/Boromir stuff! They're such a stupidly sweet couple, lol, and are very dumb about each other. Which makes them a fun contrast to the world's worst couple: Grima & Eomer. The terribleness of that couple is 95% Grima, to be fair. And I'm always so chuffed to hear when I've gotten people even marginally curious in them. It just takes 300,000 words to get to a place where it can happen.
Ooh yes! I call it The Venetians on here, but the working title is different. I initially called it The Venetians because none of the main characters are, in fact, Venetian. One of the main character (Cristof)'s lover is Venetian, so I guess Nicolo counts. Though he's not a POV charcter.
I'm very excited about it and it's been lots of fun to write. Early modern Italian city states are honestly fantastically chaotic with some Peak Energy happening. My mental image of both Venice and Florence in the 15th and early 16th century is just everyone piled on top of a tricyle going down hill with no breaks hollering WEEEEEEEEEE the entire way.
