There are a few different ways to say “let’s” in Korean:

Using 위해/위해서 with nouns

Noun + -을/를 위해(서) = in order for + noun = for the sake of + noun

Ex) 건강을 위해서 [geon-gang-eul wi-hae-seo] = for health; for the sake of health; in order to be healthy

회사를 위해서 [hoe-sa-reul wi-hae-seo] = for the company; for the good of the company

Using 위해/위해서 with verbs

Verb stem + -기 위해(서)

Hill-tribe Land: Do They Understand About International Day of Tolerance

November 16th is the International Day of Tolerance. Historically, the United Nations (UN) International Day of Tolerance was established by the UN General Assembly in 1996 and is annually observed across the globe on November 16th to educate people about the need for tolerance in society and to help them understand the harmful effects of intolerance.

The word “tolerance” exist in Myanmar (Burmese) language. It means “Na Lae Tin Myat Mu.” However, it needs to find out that the peoples understand how to practice the mind, ethic and behaviour of tolerance in their daily.

So, how about for the hill-tribe ethnic peoples. Do they know about “tolerance” and what is “tolerance” for them? It is meaningful for them.

To sum up, what is “tolerance” for the peoples who live in this country.

Serena Williams took less than an hour to win her first-round match

Serena Williams underlined why she is the Australian Open favourite with a rapid first-round win, while defending champion Naomi Osaka also advanced.

Williams, chasing a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam title, took the first set in 19 minutes in a 6-0 6-3 victory over Russia’s Anastasia Potapova.

Third seed Osaka started slowly against Marie Bouzkova before winning 6-2 6-4.

World number one Ashleigh Barty and Britain’s Johanna Konta are also in action on Monday.

Osaka, who broke the net with one of her serves against Czech Bouzkova, will play China’s Saisai Zheng in the second round in Melbourne.

Williams, who won her first WTA title in three years in the run-up to the opening Grand Slam of the year, will play Slovenia’s Tamara Zidansek or South Korean wildcard Han Na-lae next.

Other winners on day one were Croatian 13th seed Petra Martic, who beat American Christina McHale 6-3 6-0 to set up an encounter with 2018 Wimbledon semi-finalist Julia Goerges of Germany, and 14th seed Sofia Kenin.

But last year’s Wimbledon semi-finalist Barbora Strycova was beaten 6-2 7-6 (7-5) by Romania’s Sorana Cirstea.

The tournament went ahead as scheduled on Monday after air quality improved in Melbourne.

Last week’s qualifying event had been disrupted by delays because of the air pollution caused by widespread bushfires.

Play was held up for a few minutes at the start of the second set when the net needed some repairs after one of Naomi Osaka’s deliveries
