Need to rant for a moment because I am tired

People still not getting that Tommy’s “my attention” is because, yes he did think Buck was worried about Eddie hanging out with Tommy so much instead of him, we all were supposed to think that because that’s what Buck actually thought at first. It’s not until he’s complimenting Tommy so much that he admits and realizes that oh yeah! It was Tommy’s attention he wanted.

Because, yeah, why would he continue to try to hang out with Eddie AND Tommy if he was only worried about Eddie’s attention? Why would he only be worried about hanging out at times when he knew Tommy was also going to be there? He could have easily just asked Eddie to hang out with him like he did earlier in the season. Why did he seem so interested when Tommy was involved too? I don’t know, but I personally wouldn’t want the person I feel threatened by to stick around like that.

This whole “Tommy knows Buck’s into Eddie and is taking advantage of him” idea is so dumb. He didn’t think Buck was jealous because he wanted Eddie romantically. He thought Buck was just feeling left out by his bestie and this new guy they both met.

It’s so funny that you have Buck literally looking disappointed when Tommy says he’ll take a rain check on the beer. You have Buck smiling so hard at the basketball court when Tommy’s talking to him and Chimney. You have Buck smiling and stuttering when Tommy shows up to the loft. You have Buck gushing over Tommy to Maddie. You have Buck saying that he can’t stop thinking about Tommy. All of this we can see and hear. It’s all right there for us. But some people just conveniently ignore all of that because it doesn’t fit with what they want to believe. They still say Buck’s confused and doesn’t know what he really wants.

Point is, no Tommy is not taking advantage of Buck. He, just like the audience, was led to believe that Buck was worried about his spot as Eddie’s friend. You can dislike Buck and Tommy together all you want, that’s your right. But to ignore what is right there in front of you to somehow twist the narrative and make Tommy this guy who’s taking advantage of Buck, just to make him look bad, is disgusting. Just say you don’t like him and leave it at that.

#kirby #daily kirby #my art #digital #hal laboratory #nintendo #I don't think I mentioned at the time because it was in the middle of kirb2k #but I had an appointment with a hematologist last week #they confirmed the culprit behind my chronic illness is definitely my mast cells #but I need to get a bone marrow biopsy next month to find out #if it's actually not-technically-autoimmune (mcas)#or if it's actually not-technically-cancer (mastocytosis)#which is actually good news cuz 1 someone finally confirmed my nearly 6 year old hypothesis instead of just agreeing (or disagreeing)#and 2 if it *is* mastocytosis they're gonna start medicating me A Lot more aggressively :)#which I need! I've been sick for right about 8 years now but it's gotten rapidly worse in the past 1-1.5 years #so clearly I'm badly under-medicated #(since I've been on all the same meds for 2 years except for my own emergency intervention.)#(I mean technically I've been chronically ill my whole life it just wasn't disabling until early 2016)#anyway I'm so tired I feel like a ragdoll half the time! sure hope I get adequate medication in a couple months!

This is a fun story actually!

Back before the gang were all romantically together the entire Rogers clan was keeping an eye on Scrapy to see who he would bond with. There were no Rogers of bonding age for him to pair with so they all thought he was destined to be a Doo by adoption (when someone gains a Doo by being adopted into the Rogers clan) or a Doo by Marriage (where a Doo bonds with a non-Roger that is destined to marry into the family).

When I tell you Shaggy was Struggling™ because it looked like he was going to bond with Fred (he even started coping his speech patterns and saying “treasure” like that) only to turn around and attach his tiny puppy self to Daphne for months only to turn around again and go with Velma to her NASA internship as emotional support…

Let’s say Shaggy was very confused and just a bit frustrated.

But it turned out to be just the curiosity and friendliness of young puppies. Scrappy has found his Rogers not that long ago in 2011 when they found Cousin Steve on that iceberg.

I haaaaate when ppl treat ford being upset over his identity being taken and his house getting turned into essentially a mockery of his research was completely unreasonable

like, was stan doing his best with a terrible situation? absolutely! would ford kicking him out be an actually fair option? fuck no!

but he's been in this dimension for probably 12 hours. god knows the last time he's slept. he'd been nearly dead prior to going thru the portal and now has to deal with the fact that he's lost everything. he doesn't even have his own identity anymore.

I honestly don't even think half the shit ford says to stan is truly about stanley or ford's opinion of him, so much as it is about his own issues and how weighed down with guilt he is.

I think its worth noting that ford only ever says mean things about stan when he's pissed off- when he's not angry, he's much more willing to actually discuss things and try to find common ground (such as when he invites stan to play d,d&d).

it honestly comes off more as him not knowing how to communicate anger outside of hurting people than it does genuine malice towards stan. and also I don't think ford ever really internalized that stan was homeless in the duration of the show
