Nathan Miller - ModernV Bio

He was raised by his dad, David Miller. His dad was a cop for his early childhood then ranked up to become captain of Boston Police Department. Because his dad was raising him alone, this left Nathan with a lot of time being the only one at home and it made him self-sufficient. His father had strict rules when he was home but he gave Nathan everything he could; he raised Nathan Catholic so Nathan lived in the closet for much of his pre-adult years.

In high school, he fell in love with a boy named Bryan and ended up dating him in secret. One day, his dad came home from work earlier than expected and caught Nathan and Bryan laying together on the couch. Nathan started attempted to explain but his dad already knew and was -surprisingly- understanding. He told Nathan "we can't pick who we fall in love with, Son" and Nathan was relieved he didn't have to hide that part of himself anymore. After that, their relationship only got stronger.

Nathan did have a bit of a rebellious phase, stealing from high-end stores and flipping the products on the side so he could buy upgrades for his gaming systems. His dad bailed him out of trouble more times than he cared to admit. The last time he was arrested was when he had graduated high school and was about to turn 18. Basically, his dad told him to either get his shit together or leave the house and start preparing for being in prison because he was a grown man now.

Nathan did get his life a little more together. He went through different trainings: he did self-defense classes, kickboxing classes, and Krav Maga and after about two years of working random retail jobs he landed a job as a security guard. He eventually made it to be working as security guard for a private company that normally caters to high-end events and/or directly with celebrities if they are in his area. This is what he is working as now.

He keeps in touch with his father and meets up with him when their lives/jobs allow. His father keeps pressuring him to settle down and have a family already but Nathan is still in the younger mindset of doing what he wants and enjoying life to the fullest. He travels when he can and enjoys taking day trips out in nature. He enjoys exercising and still plays video games when he needs a more relaxed day.

He has his own house in Brookline area.

Note: even if the verse has him not in Boston, he will still be employed as a security guard and will still have his own house.
