Skiers climb Colfax Peak for some great springtime powder. Looking across Burrard Inlet, underneath the Lions Gate Bridge, over the Vancouver Centerm Terminal to the Supermoon peeking out behind an active glacier-covered andesitic stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcarnic Arc and the North Cascades of Washington in the United States... 116 km or 72 miles away from where I stood. . I chose this location AGAIN because I was hoping it would've been light enough to capture some alpenglow but it went dark quick and I ended up walking away with a silhouette. . Happy final day of July! 🌞The year has gone fast ▶️ and slow ⏸️ at the same time. It’s been 194 days since the first case of COVID-19 arrived in the US, just north of Seattle. 🦠I still wonder how we ended up in this situation. I earned my BA long ago. In a few weeks I’ll be finishing a nearly two-year back-in-college adventure, and graduating with an Associate’s degree in digital marketing. 👩‍🎓 When I started on this path it was because I felt like I needed to acquire new knowledge and skills in order to remain relevant. 👍 I have always loved technology, so digital marketing seemed like a great extension of my existing skills. 💻 Last week John Lewis, a U.S. Congressman, passed away. 🇺🇲 I’d be lying if I told you I knew all about him, because I didn’t. But after he died I came to learn about him and I felt in awe of all he accomplished in his life. 🏛️ It made me think about what I could say about my own life and what I’ve done with it. ⏳ And what I’ll do in the future? 🏞️ Today a friend, Jan, called 📱and I shared this thought with her. She piped up with, “You’ve raised two great kids!” 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Then she asked if I’d ever planted a tree? 🌱 (Jan is an optimist).
