rb's Free Rider's Motorcycle Memories (1 / oo)
A Motorcylce Jam in Italy (Wheels of Freedom)
I experienced the only motorcycle traffic jam of my life - of course - in Italy, in the south. A rockfall blocked the mountain road, but only enough for the motorcycles to pass.
However, the traffic police initially had no understanding: No Trespassing.
The southern blood was boiling! 100 motorcycles jammed in 10 minutes in the mild, late summer evening sun.
Heated discussions between the cops and riders on racing motorcycles, touring motorcycles, any-other-kind of motorcycles and choppers, dressed in colourful & padded high-safety suits & PPE & Hi-Vis etc. pp., those in complied touring textiles, those in reasonable and practical never-ever-certified clothing (like mine, of course) up to the bad-ones in lace-up leather jeans and color backpatches - in conjunction with the roaring pipes of the motors ...
Until the cops finally released the few inches of lane down the slope for motorbikes, exasperated.
60 seconds later, the motorcycle traffic jam had cleared - and the car drivers were left behind - deeply depressed -, waiting for the evacuation team.
Long live freedom!
(Translated from German to English with DeepL, which seems to have some problems with a higher language level 8-) .)

Listen, if you have a problem with how much I talk about what happened to Rory Skinner at American Racing, just unfollow me now.
I doubt there's very many people on here who understand what it's like to watch your country be cleaned out of MotoGP the way Scotland has been these last few years.
Like with the loss of McPhee in 2022 and now Rory (and Dunlop) in 2023 we have nothing.
We're not a wealthy country, man, I know one of the best domestic superbikers in the UK and he can't even afford to race BSB full time. And I mean for fucks sakes we only have two road racing circuits. The people who make it on to the world stage have to struggle so much harder than, say, riders from Italy or Spain. Not saying there aren't struggles there but both those countries have the infrastructure and we simply don't.
We're a small, proud nation and I am not about to sit here and be invalidated over being upset about what happened. Had this happened to a bigger rider I'm sure everyone would be up in arms about it but because he finished p27 very few people care
Rory is my favourite rider. Not favourite Moto2 or BSB rider. My favourite rider full stop
I have EVERY right to come on here and be angry about what happened
So like I said, if you don't like it then leave. Because I'm not going to shut up about one of the biggest injustices in Scottish motorbike racing history

(Ana Carrasco anon) thank you for the long explanation!
I can’t believe that FIM are trying to create a W Series for motorbikes *facepalm* why not support women in Moto 3 and Moto 2 (and even the CEV & CIV)?!
Hi again anon 👋👋👋
It's more than the W Series because it has the MotoGP and FIM Approval but less than the F1 Academy because there's no direct link between this series and MotoGP.
That is actually the question! FIM said they want to boost the female rider pool, but doesn't do it from the lower levels (Road to MotoGP, CIV and/or JuniorGP or evn MiniMotoGP (or whatever is called that series where kids are coached by MotoGP/2/3 riders riding mini motos)) or even the existing structures. María is a FIM ambassador and she does riding camps for female riders and have the Spanish federation approval. She even has gone to Italy to do the same!
I had already said this, but there are much better ways to do this. Do a Road to MotoGP only for female, get 1 bike on those categories only for female, give the teams incentives (like less money to pay) to put females in their teams. Or if they really insiste this is necessary, don't make it an isolated class, allow riders do do wild Cards or get seats in the WSSP championship. But same with the Women's European Cup

Among the strong lot line-up is the 1996 Bimota YB11, a rare 1000cc thoroughbred superbike utilising the best of Italian and Japanese engineering of the late 1990s. The YB11 used the iconic Yamaha Thunderace engine in a beautiful twin spar frame, and has an estimated price of £4,500 to £5,500. Fans of trail bikes will not be disappointed either, the 1973 Moto Guzzi Tuttoterrenois a rare all-terrain trail bike authentically restored back to its original condition. #pic #bike #bikelife #bikeride #rider #motorbike #motorcycle #tour #trip #goodtime #enjoyable #mood #road #speed #hype #emotions #feelings (at Bologna, Italy) https://www.instagram.com/p/CkqxiRNN0bb/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

While it does what it sets out to do, a part of me feels that maybe a little more depth in the opening tutorial would have been appreciated, especially for newcomers not only to the sport but also to motorcycle racing games in general. The first thing you are introduced to when playing RiMS Racing is the tutorial that tries to walk you through the basics.
#Rims racing track list how to#
Based on my first two hours playing the game for this review, it starts as an excellent simulator of how to fall off a bike and look like a ragdoll doing so. In summary, RiMs is an excellent game that tries to marry the joys of racing and the minutia of the mechanical side of things. I always found this fascinating and wondered how they were able to turn so tightly and not hit the ground.įast forward a few years and RIMs Racing from RaceWard Studio and Nacon wants to show me that it is a lot harder than it looks. One thing that always grabbed me about the show was when the motorcyclists would bank around corners so tightly that their knees would almost touch the ground. They would cover new bikes coming to the market and look at recent races that occurred.

If you make the right decisions and improve your racing performances, opportunities with other manufacturers will become available to you!Īll links are interchangeable.Growing up, there was a TV show I would watch called “4 Wheels Good, 2 Wheels Better.” As the name implies, it was a TV show centered on motorcycles.

Malle X The FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy 28th September - 2nd October, 2022 When news came our way that Portugal would be hosting the 2022 ‘Enduro Vintage Trophy’, we jumped at the opportunity to partner up with The ‘Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme’ - FIM, ‘Motoni Motorcycles’ and ‘Motor Sport Vila Nova de Santo Andre’ to offer race support and further maintain a connection with our European friends and family, through the love of racing and wild motorcycles. At the end of September, 200+ period correct (a strict rule governed by the FIM) classic enduro motorcycles, from over 12 different countries will be gathering at the beautiful and typically sleepy town of ‘Santiago do Cacem’ to compete in this world famous vintage enduro race. This unique race used to be a class of the ISDE (International Six Day Enduro) and only became an independent race last year in Italy. We’ll be there offering rider support, kitting out the riders & teams with custom Malle race jerseys and documenting this unique race. More on that later in the year! Join us in Portugal if you can! 🏁⚡️🇵🇹 @mallelondon @fimlive @motonimotorcycles @motorsport.santoandre @fimridegreen @visitportugal @fmpportugal @santiagoterraunica @maxxistires #endurovintagetrophy #santiagoterraunica #freguesiasantoandre #fmpportugal #vintageenduro #endurorace #classicmotorcycle #enduro #comissaoenduro #litoralalentejano #visitalentejo #visitportugal #fmp #fmpenduro #fim #motorbikes #enduro #easymotos #gasgasportugal #jetmar #motoni #crosspro #liquimoly #mallelondon #motorsportsantoandre #arrancamasnãofaçaspó (at Santiago do Cacém) https://www.instagram.com/p/CiAcsAUMdcR/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
