My paleobotanist dnd character Cyphe! She has a nettle goat she summoned this session and I gave her some orchid creatures based on Dracula simia, a species of orchid that have flowers that look remarkably like monkey faces. She’s so smiley and cute!!!

Isidiate square britches. seems to require a certain level of humidity during summer to manage to be prolific, I see this commonly in the Appalachians where we find it’s core. ILP Allegheny Plat I find it less but it really becomes rare in flat glacial woods.

Cyphe! My necromancer but only for plant creatures (she’s paleobotanist Baybe!). I have reskinned all summoning spells for this type of thing. Here is archaeopteris archaeopteryx the funniest common thread between paleontology and paleobotany I ever could have found by accident.

Sketch of Cyphe! I just had my unit on mineralogy and wanted to do more earth genasi stuff. She’s based on agate, and her scars are opal.
And. Some fungi. She has a curse (chronic illness) and the necromancy is bringing out fungi, specifically glomeromycota, the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. Arbuscules form within the plant cell, the same thing is happening to her. These are based on fungi on agar plates.

Early to present development of my of my current dnd character, an earth genasi named Cyphelium Evernia Minarum Nephrite (or Cyphe) . She’s a paleobotanist which basically means ‘necromancer for plants’. Her husband, Mason, is an entomologist beekeeper and their baby is myrtle : ) they travelled around summers (she’s a professor) with a baba-yaga house wagon thing with a beehive on top. She’s cursed (twice technically) and uses a cane/crutch depending on the day.

Imshaugia aleurites , again but light blue grey colour (winter.)
Often nebulous arranged thallus; isidia covering most of surface(small compared to most isidia), massing towards center; gray-white blue-green appearance; cortex, K+ quickly yellow (thamnolic acid); compare with Heterodermia granulifera which has isidia granular to papillate or pustulate, medulla K+ red, and with Parmelia squarrosa and Parmelinopsis minarum which have undersurface black.
Again, if you can verify, deny, or delineate hmu.
