J:  What’s your favorite fanfic trope?  Have you written it?

ooh, this is a good one - okay, i absolutely LOVE soulmate AUs, not bc i like the idea of 'meant to be' but bc there is something fucking DELICIOUS about the built-in vulnerability and honestly conceptual horror of so many of them. first words? mental link? some sort of moment where it 'clicks' in? that's FUCKED. somebody out there has a part of you in them???? on their body???? and so many of them have soulmates find out on their FIRST MEETING. i love how absolutely absurdly terrifying that would be and i feel like it can give you a chance to really dig into the meat of a character. if i love one thing about fanfic it's speculation, and getting to speculate about how a soulmates-exist world would look and specifically how certain characters and relationships would be affected by that is awesome.

i've written a few soulmate AUs, but none that i've completed/published. maybe a project for the summer!

i feel like i'm recognisable as slightly-obscure media crossover AU girl but this made me look through my incomplete fic pile and reminded me how much stuff i never finished. i once came up with the idea of a fic where harrow and palamedes are online fandom nemeses, but couldn't figure out a plot that i liked.

literally every single one that compliments my writing, especially for things i'm insecure about. it's so validating and really pushes me to write more every time i get one. in a non-sappy way, AO3 user Uncle_Cool pointed out to me in a comment on Part of Everything Alive Again that the centre of a venn diagram of harrow's canonical romantic prospects (gideon, ianthe, alecto) is coronabeth which has forever changed my perspective of those characters' relationship (for the better)
