River is the only New Who character that could even slightly plausibly become a long running part of the canon the way the Master is or Gallifrey is, mainly because a) the show can never bring back the Rani because of rights issues and b) it would take very little imagination to devise a scenario where she gets out of the library and gets her regeneration powers back. I don’t want Alex Kingston recast because that character is iconic because of her, but it *could* be done at some point in the future. And ‘the Professor’ is an exceptional Time Lord name to go alongside ‘the Doctor’ and ‘the Master’ (so good a name in fact in surprised she never really got addressed as that during her run). Give it long enough and I think the objections along the lines of ‘but her story was complete and bringing her back would ruin it’ would fade.

aside from preying on v young kids and strengthening and enabling v strong parasocial relationships another aspect I hate of paid communication is that the artists are obligated to be active even when it makes them feel like shit. seeing this esp from the pitigi perspective they all feel guilty about not being actively promoting and able to perform for fans and are worried about their future prospects, they have to see people asking for comebacks and ignore it and pretend to be fine with everything and I don’t even think they’re getting paid that much for it bc hybe pockets most of it… the money doesn’t even go to blue box and possible cb funding … Ive seen similar bbl messages from alëxā, evrglow, gølcha and they just have to keep going like it’s all fine :) seeing chãnggu reminisce about how he loved busking during pęntagon maker and how he misses being on stage and he doesn’t think he’s the only one that feels that way and alęxa talking about how her company won’t let her perform or release music and she knows shes “not an a level idol and will never win a music show” but she wants to keep going anyway bc they have to be active … while this gives money to hybe and bubble… it feels super uncomfortable

15. What’s your favorite AU that you’ve written? 🤍

So I'm generally not an AU writer. I typically like to write fics that are completely canon compliant. I enjoy the challenge of seeing how much I can mess around with the characters without directly contradicting the source material. I have, however, written one or two AUs in my *coughmumblechough* years writing fic.

That said, @sharpbutsoft and I are writing a Stranger Things 1920s AU called A Bliss Like This and it is currently my happy place. It's hard to pick one of the four and a half stories I wrote as a favorite. Maybe Her Double Life? That or Vignettes, because I love writing 20s Eddie's pov, but I don't think that one's a good place to start the universe.
