One thing to know about me is that I WILL wear shorts

Honestly kinda love summer bc I love dressing a little slutty. Even if it's a more moderate temperature I'll still wear my short shorts with a hoodie or smth. And in the deep summer, when the air is so thick it feels like I'm swimming in it? Well my short shorts are gonna be accompanied by a nice light crop top. As is my right.

About the glittery eyeshadow and lipstick, I had a thought. What if after getting to know the boys and joining the band Aleksi grew more confident, overall and with himself because the others are so unapologetically themselves. He finally dared to change his appearance to something more close to his personality and what he always wanted and the guys cheering him on all the way.

And then he got back to a thought he had a while back, about make up he never dared to follow. But half the band uses nailpolish and eyeliner and Joonas on more than once occasion had experimented with more. It makes him feel safe and he asks if they could help him out and he discoveres he very much likes having glittery eyeshadow or lipstick on🥺

Oooh I love this 🥰 Aleksi having built his Alex Mattson DJ persona around wearing colourful clothes and bleached hair, and then he meets the BC guys with their own style and starts thinking maybe that would be cool to try out for himself. And well, you know how when you spend a lot of time around someone, you start picking up on certain words or phrases they use and adopt some of that into your own way of speaking over time?

I think that happens with clothes etc. too, of course; how often do people look at others and think that looks cool and try it out for themselves? And especially if it's something you've been wanting to try already, then seeing someone close to you do that and be happy and confident with it would surely help.

For no reason, I went and looked at when Aleksi first posted a picture with his black hair (21 July 2020), when he joined BC (6 October 2020), and when he first posted a picture of him wearing make-up, although I'll say I have a hard time telling when he's wearing eyeliner and when that's just his eyes, but I think it was 16 May 2021.

So... I'd say that's some time respectively between Aleksi meeting BC, working with befriending them, joining them, and constantly being around them picking up on their styles. And by now we've seen him in heavy eye make-up (looking at you, Hannover video), jumping and running around in his romper and whatever else he feels comfortable in, with different hair styles - I think he's really settled in and is comfortable doing and wearing whatever he feels like each day, and yes, I wouldn't be suprised if it has at least partly to do with being around a bunch of people who all have their own individual style and just dress however is comfortable to them including their nail polish and make-up ✨

But getting back to the fic... I really love your idea of that being the explanation why he had that in his suitcase. It's getting hot everywhere, of course now would be the best time to finally try what wearing a dress feels like (freedom in the summer heat, but mind the wind), and while he's already at it, why not try some more colourful make-up than usual and maybe some colourful nail polish too? ✨
