I havent seen anyone else say it and Im wondering if its because its actually a really obvious read we all know of but. I think season 2 of dont hug me im scared is representative of the main characters as Actors being contractually stuck in one of those shows thats been running for like 30 years and not able to get out of it

#they all have moments of questioning the formula and wanting to get out but also all just as often #fall into going along with things and all of them have moments of just wanting a Singing Bastard to show up because #its what always happens. I also think the stuff with #Lesley is part of it and everything but I dont think the show is Literal still #Maybe Lesley is the showrunner who started the show as like a tribute to her dead son and then it #got taken over by the network and executive meddled into being a soulless vehicle for advertising and pushing harmful and backwards ideas #So its like her being shackled to this Twisted Version of a project she started with good intentions and now shes resentful #which is why she keeps snapping at Yellow Guy and seems to be like kind of enjoying the puppets being stuck #and getting hurt. ok thats it thank you #Also I do see it as a sequel to the youtube show #Because of the changed date and characters from the youtube being referenced #and some people think events from the webseries are being referenced too like bird guy being dead #And the Youtube Series ended with them being rebooted.#So. Ok thats it #I dont know why DHMIS is really interesting to me Im really into the show #It has that perfect balance of like clearly having a deeper meaning without leaning too heavily into it and still being like a #funny little comedy horror show with really cool production
