Friendly reminder to theatre goers that musicals about famous singers are not concerts. It’s a musical, a narrative piece, and theater etiquette is still to be expected.

I saw MJ today and the people next to me were recording the songs, on facetime, and dancing with their arms and hands, and generally getting in my peripheral view and distracting me. They and the people behind me were singing.

I get being excited. My mom’s the biggest Michael Jackson fan I know and she was jamming in her seat but normal about it. I’ve gone to performances for musicals I’ve been hyperfixated on and I just mouth the lyrics to myself, maybe tear up a little. There are ways to be excited but to have respect for your fellow theatre goers.

Just…have theatre etiquette, please.

GUYSSSSSSS I SAW MJ THE MUSICAL YESTERDAY AND IT WAS SO AMAZING 100/10 really out of this world experience I 110% recommend it if you love Michael Jackson’s music you want to see this because it’s TOO GOOD

Michael Jackson is my favorite artist I grew up listening to him in the livning room my mom and dad would but on ‘Bad’ and let us have a dance battle to see who was ‘bad enough’ still til this day I love his music

HE IS THE KING OF POP CAN NOT BE REPLACED AND HIS MUSIC STILL LIVES ON AND THATS THAT‼️‼️ nobody did like him (expect for in the show because it was too good like sounded SO MUCHHHH LIKE HIM)

The actors who played their roles truly embodies them so WELL I usually critic anyone who tries to imitate Michael Jackson but Elijah (the one who played MJ) sounded JUST like him so identically had his mannerism his adlibs the way he moved for specific thing and had his playfulness im so glad I got to experience it this weekend. And ofc I got pics with the cast and merchhhh causeeeeee whatt

Do you have any idea how much I love Broadway musicals? I saw MJ: The Musical two years ago when I was 17 and believe me, it’s been a long time since I saw a Broadway musical or more since COVID hit.
