Hi, I got a request for welcome home. The basic premise is that sense the show was an educational program, I wanted to see how y/n would react to the neighbors doing the thing like dora does, i.e talking to y/n and pausing for a response.

so I wasn't sure if you wanted it, where the reader actually watch past eps like that or somehow interact with the chareters on the site.... Soooooo here's my inturpertation on what you mean... (and im sorry for any lore or grammer mistakes) (use of Y/N)

You. Y/n as a teen loved horror. analog horror being your fav. it was now 2024 and your now 21 and a junier detective for your smarts. and you were looking for a case to do since there wern't anything happing in your small town. you were searching on the internet for days until one day you heard of a site, that was showing things about a show in the 70's.

Apparently the site was up in 2021 but was taken down for some... odd problems. So you being interested in such because most 70's kids shows were always creepy in some way, so you took a look. while looking at the site you thought nothing of it since it looked like some random costamised wiki page of sorts with a bunch of weirdo-thingy-mahbobs

"my EYES hate this bright screen when will this get intersesting- Wha!" you said while looking at the screen. "oh its just a youtube link -_-" you said with a blank face "but wait!... it could help" you said the end of the scentince slowly in a mischeeeeeeeeevisly way.

You then click the link. "hmm its just some of the old eps some one found on vhs oh well im'a watch it anyway" you said "but first POP! CORN!" you then scurry away to get some popcorn, snacks, and a few sodas.

*skip a few mins*

you press play on the 2nd ep on the youtube channel ep 4 s1 Wally's way to apple heaven (you skipped the pilet) "hi there neighbor! today i felt hungry and it seemed i had no apples so we're going to Howdys shop to get some apples. now come along!" Wally inturduced "so neighbor do you see howdys store?" Wally asked

"w-weird i dont remember them mentiong they had a Dora michanic in the show" you said a tad bit confused. "why an't he saying anything.." you then pointed to howdys store on the sreen. "over there, wally" "oh thank you so much neighbor!" wally responded "what the-... uhm ok"

*another time skip*

"thank you so much howdy! now neighbor can you show me where the door is" wally asked "..." this time you didnt respond just to see what happens since youve been asked questions like 4 times now. *40 seconds later* "neighbor~" "ah crap over there!" you panicked and pointed then very quickly turned off your pc "never. again... i need sleep anyways its 1am"

you turend on your lamp and off your light and went to bed.

but... when doing so... you felt a pair of eyes on you....

1- Enemies to Lovers

Ok, again there aren’t many, Semantic Error is probably the closest. But I think I am going to give a shout out to

Yang and Phumjai, Love in Translation

I would consider Yang and Phumjai to be enemies at the beginning, even if that is not sustained for all that long. They exchanged blows upon first meeting, broke property, and then when stuck in a room together, regressed to adolescence to chuck oranges at each other until physically pried apart. I’m counting this because I do think that enemies to loves follows the general trend of, hates each other, forced together, annoyed, starts to form friendship, fucking in the grocery store aisles. I want more enemies to lovers and am very much looking forward to whenever I get to watch two boys (or preferably two girls) homoerotically trying to murder each other. (I don’t count Word of Honor cause my specialist little war criminal would never see Zhou Zishu as an enemy)

4- Long Term Pining

Togawa, Old Fashion Cupcake

Togawa has had a crush on Nozue since the moment Nozue comforted him after his interview, that was ALMOST TEN YEARS OF PINING. And then even after he finesses this de-ageifying process with Nozue, he has to just sit there, trying not to choke on a hamster cheek full of pancake when Nozue asks to pay Togawa with his body. Like this poor, love-stricken fuck just has to sit there being tortured with Knowledge about his feelings for Nozue and a firm understanding of what it is they are doing together, while he waits for Nozue to get wise and either break his heart or make all that time spent mooning over the Office’s Most Firmly Rooted Man worth it.

10- Bodyguard

I mean…the only bodyguard romance I’ve seen that’s worth mentioning is KinnPorsche because I hated the petulant child in Laws of Attraction and Never Let Me Go was meh…also because I have seen KinnPorsche fourteen times…..

BUT I’ve been having such fun talking about my unhinged, non-traditional definitions of these tropes. So:

Koichi and Michan, Eien no Kinou (Eternal Yesterday)

I know this trope is pretty much reserved for literal, hired bodyguards who are supposed to put their life on the line to protect their client. And well… whether we knew it or not, Koichi was always guarding Michan’s body and he died for it; right at the beginning of the show. It was so clear to me that Koichi cared so deeply about keeping Michan safe, so much so that his own body continues until he feels satisfied that Michan will be okay. And Michan pays that body guarding back eleven-fold as he tries desperately to protect Koichi’s body, sewing his wounds, trying to make him warm, hiding his death. And more importantly, Michan fights tooth and nail to protect Koichi’s memory. With no body left to guard, he holds firm and fast to Koichi’s ghost.

My tumbler broke

I broke my tumbler today. Not me- to be exact. My cat, Michan. I don’t really blame her, since she is cute. I blame the tumbler instead because not strong enough and now they’re just.. crooked. And I am still using it, of course with the feeling of wanting to change them right away because I hate to see my stuff being broken. Any stuffs.

Now I am thinking that why I always want to change my stuff right away when I broke them or they’re just get uglier because I used them often. Maybe I can’t stand staring at them, and they look imperfect?

Honestly speaking, I don’t know. I must say that I am doing my best not to go to the store and buy the tumbler that exactly same with what I have now. I am trying my best to cherish every single things that I have.

I am not taking them for granted. Maybe it is because someone ever mocked me for having such an imperfect things since my parents barely allow me to buy a new things until it is really broken? I used to hate how strict my parents are to money, though. But have you heard those words that saying, “You will understand as you get older”.

That is true. A lot of things just don’t make sense when I was younger, now I just.. finding the answer by myself. Like this, spending each cents that I have carefully because not everyone can able to be this lucky like me.
