I mainly got the Big Special™ blu-ray of Red Eye for the commentary track, and listening to it just makes my heart hurt that Wes is no longer with us. He sounded so personable and friendly and you really feel he loved what he did.

The Spy Who Shushed Me: How the Government Is Removing Our Right to Read in Private
On the Links Between FBI's Controversial Library Awareness Program, the Patriot Act, and Book Bans Today
Tumblr media
by Anthony Aycock
It isn’t often that libraries, those citadels of quiet refinement, play a role in capturing a serial killer. Yet that is what happens in the movie Se7en. William Somerset, played by Morgan Freeman, is a veteran detective charged with training a newcomer, David Mills, played by Brad Pitt. Their first case: a pair of murders inspired by two of the Seven Deadly Sins, gluttony and greed. After the third killing (sloth), the duo is nowhere close to solving the case. They don’t even have a suspect.
Then Somerset gets an idea. “What would [the killer] study,” he muses, “to do the things he’s done?” For an answer, he turns to a FBI friend, who uses an unnamed database to run a report of public library users who have borrowed books like Paradise Lost, The Inferno, Helter Skelter, Murderers and Madmen, Dictionary of Catholicism—anything that could account for their killer’s skill set. “How is this legal?” asks Mills, to which Somerset replies dismissively, “Legal, illegal….These terms don’t apply.”
Several hours later, report in hand, Mills and Somerset end up at the apartment of John Doe (Kevin Spacey), who fires a gun at them and flees. Later, covered in blood, he turns himself in. Somerset’s trick worked! (Small comfort, as—spoiler alert—the blood on his clothes had belonged to Mills’s wife.)
For years, I thought this sequence was fantasy. I was certain the FBI didn’t have some mysterious database of all U.S. libraries that could spit out the borrower record of any one user. Besides, why would the government care what people read? My skepticism, it turns out, was unfounded.

She had so much evidence. So much. Much more than most victims. Yet she still lost. Also one thing I don't think it's mentioned enough is "body language" bullshit. So many psychologists said "body language" analysis is total bs that has no scientific background yet so many of "body language" experts tore her apart on social media and people took it as a fact. One of my best friends is currently doing a masters degree in psychology and she said not only is it bs it's also rooted in deep deep misogyny.
“Body language” is an absolute fuckin pseudoscience. And sooo ridiculous to apply on a victim of sexual assault and physical abuse…”you have to act this specific way!! Move your body this specific way, all while bearing your most traumatic events to a crowd, while also on live tv, and if you don’t look this specific way? You’re lying!” It’s such bullshit
How can you possibly predict how a victim of sexual violence is “supposed” to be moving and what specific hand gestures/facial expressions/body posture they are “supposed” to have in order to be telling the truth?
Amber had more evidence than most victims are able to bring to court, she lost because of the misogynistic vitriol that surrounded her because of the televising and exploitation of the trial, and the fact that Depp is a bigger name than her. The jury felt like they knew him, fell for whatever charm they see in him, and went with whoever they liked the best. Several were said to be falling asleep during the process, so it sounds like it was doomed from the start.
As was the case with Anthony Rapp vs Kevin Spacey. Anthony cried in court. He apologized for apologizing. He talked about his abusive father. Spacey’s lawyers characterized Anthony as "jealous" (at age 14) of Spacey's interest in other men.
The jury sided with Spacey.
Moral of the story, there should not be jury’s for sex crimes/ipv cases/assault
We can not rely on groups of strangers with no knowledge of the intricacies of sexual violence/ipv to make these decisions and do right by survivors. And god ESPECIALLY in fucking celebrity cases…

one more time: depp clearly proved that heard has a history of lying (caught lying about his past relationships, caught lying about donations she made, caught lying about events where she claims depp was violent towards her, caught lying about video releases to tmz) and is an abuser (literally caught on tape admitting to hitting him (did we talk about how she was arrested for dv in 2009 in another relationship) and had a doctor testify that a bottle she threw at depp cut his finger so badly that the resulting surgrey means he can’t make a fist or grab anything or anyone tightly) thus proving that she is someone who can't be trusted and she was (in all likelihood) the actual abuser in the relationship. i doubt very much if heard was presenting all that evidence against depp that people would fail to see what's right in front of your faces here. so when she wrote that op-ed about being abused without naming depp but clearly pointing the finger at him, he lost role after role after role and was basically blacklisted for a minute all the while she was the abuser. with all this evidence now, this is exactly what should happen to her.
also this happens to men all the time. an accusation and your career goes poof. see kevin spacey, chris d'elia, will smith, aziz ansari and (fucking) johnny depp. in most of this cases (most not all (see aziz)), the accusation and proof merited the actions and for heard it does also.
THIS IS EQUALITY.

Hungry Ghosts sees the prize-winning poet Gabriele Tinti collaborate with the acclaimed photographer Roger Ballen on a unique artistic engagement with the furthest edges of life and consciousness. Drawing inspiration from the Petavatthu verses of the Buddhist tradition, Hungry Ghosts is a thrilling evocation of the disturbing visions and the yearnings for a world beyond that have fed both ancient and modern understandings of the afterlife.
Taking as their starting points the simplest of media—respectively the brief epigraphic verse and the photographic negative—Tinti and Ballen have produced something truly extraordinary: a masterfully crafted series of poems in dialogue with a stunning array of phantasmagoric images. Tinti’s verse has become renowned for its combination of rigorous sparseness on the level of diction with imagery of an extraordinary power and resonance. These qualities are once again much in evidence in Hungry Ghosts, but Tinti’s response to Ballen’s brilliant and disquieting works has also led him to explore an entirely new terrain: the uncanny borderlands between life and death.
“HUNGRY GHOSTS IS A BOOK in which words and pictures combine to make the absent present—that which is lost but may nevertheless return, the ghosts of our mind, supernatural powers. It is a phantasmagoria that gives voice to the repressed part of our existence: to nightmares and bad thoughts, to that which we desperately wish to banish or regain, even if only in effigies or words.
The title and structure are derived from the Petavatthu (“Ghost Stories”—“Hungry Ghost”, to be precise. In Pāli: peta; 隞苤—literally: “hungry spirit”), a Theravada Buddhist scripture of fifty-one poems evoking the dramatic stories of the spirits, the restless dead, their sufferings that result from bad actions performed in previous lives and, also, the possibility of redemption.
The book retains both the form and the content of the Petavattu, combining them with the resonance of epigraphs from the ancient world. So there are fifty-one poems composed by Gabriele Tinti in the form of epigrams that, in relation to Roger Ballen’s pictures, compel us to reckon with the mystery of our thirst for transcendence—with the desire for, and fear of, death and the beyond.
Reading Hungry Ghosts shows what it means to consort with ghosts—to speak with and compare ourselves to our forebears in the conviction that art and poetry are none other than that same quest and attempt.”
✔ Gabriele Tinti is an Italian poet and writer. He has worked with the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the British Museum (among many other institutions), and his poems have been performed by actors including Abel Ferrara, Willem Dafoe and Kevin Spacey. His work is focused on the theme of death and suffering and is mostly composed in the form of ekphrastic and epigrammatic poetry. In 2018 his ekphrastic poetry project Ruins was awarded the Premio Montale with a ceremony at the Museo Nazionale Romano in Palazzo Altemps.
✔ Roger Ballen is one of the most important photographers of his generation. He has published over twenty-five books, and his photographs are collected by some of the most prominent museums in the world. His oeuvre, which spans five decades, began with the documentary photography field but evolved into the creation of distinctive fictionalized realms that also integrate the mediums of film, installation, theatre, sculpture, painting, and drawing. commonly referred to as Ballenesque. Ballen has also been the creator of several acclaimed and exhibited short films that dovetail with his photographic series. Ballen was one of the artists that represented South African at the Venice Biennale Arte 2022.

gamergaters redpill podcast bros have moved on from brie Larson to Rachel Ziegler I noticed. while they also are making 50 min long videos dissecting how fictional female characters are actually more evil than real life male criminals who have committed rape, murder and organized crime rings
They only acknowledge organized crimes to own up the left somehow. Remember how extra they've been about The Sound of Freedom? They were more obsessed about lEftiSts MediAs shitting on this movie than its message. Their literally campaigned the film as "the movie the left doesn't want you to see". 99% of the right ideological standpoint relies on opposing everything the left does or says. Not proposing actually alternatives. That's why conservatives are so bad at creating new concepts, news ideas, new slang (they have to hijack already existing one such as #blue/alllivesmatter, #mentoo, woke, etc). They hate on liberals but lowkey LOVE liberal creativity lol
Or Balenciaga. I'll never forgive conservatives for turning the fight against pedophilia as a left/ vs right thing. To them it's like all pedophiles were from the left and that only the left protected pedophiles.... But if a conservative man is accused of rape? it's the left woke witch hunt!! Hasn't Kevin Spacey recent got invited by Tucker Carlson....? 👀 Lmao let's get real : conservatives don't care about pedophilia, they can't about "LEFTISTS" pedophiles. They are a lost cause.
Those grown men in their 30s 40s 50s being deadass seething about a DOLL MOVIE has to be the best example of the Western decadence IDC
Those idiots being whining day and night about their own extinction when their own stupidity IS the reason why they go extinct. Can you imagine if instead of spending hours in their basement making podcast seething on imaginary women they would go outside meet real ones, try to fix their awful personality, etc. The government shouldn't forbid selling mics to male between the age of 10 and 60. Deadass.
It's no coincidence the lots of them are roman empire simps. They follow the same self destructive moral & intellectual decadence. Very ironic to see them get so mad at gays and call them all pedophiles - those "LGBT groomers" are very close to the trv roman empire lifestyle & its institutional pedophilia. They should actually look up to them for that lmao
And they constantly be moaning about how people don't make babies anymore but how do they expect breeding when they endorse the most repulsive behavior that could exist in a man. Seeing a man whining about a little girls movie turns my eggs dry TBH and I know I'm not the one. Them being old fat and unattractive doesn't help too - but they for sure think they have room nitpicking the attractiveness of women half their age... If we could make energy out of delusion conservative men would be soooo useful....
That's why my theory is that the push for redpill/Andrew Tate content is a psy-op warfare against young men to make them self sabotaging themselves because those old farts cannot deal with them having better chance at dating young women. "If they can't have them, no one will". It's crazy how no one ever point out how those redpill dating coaches are all single. Do I need to remind them the fate of Kevin Samuels who died alone in a hotel room next to a Mexican prostitute? or that conservative man who got a very public (filmed) violent fallout/divorce with his wife?? Tate caught in DV?? THIS is their kings. They are unable to keep women, or they have to PAY them to have/keep them. Tragic.

the truth is most men couldn’t give a shit about male domestic abuse victims. they don’t even give a shit about women who are victims of domestic abuse. not the stats , the commonness and normalisation of it all. nothing. the depp/heard trial made it okay for men to jump in on the misogynistic videos, ripping AH apart through memes, parody videos, because they saw so many women openly and happily taking part in it too this time. most of them didn’t even give a shit about depp, and probably don’t still. even after the verdict. where was this level of support for brendan fraser, terry crews, for all the male victims of kevin spacey, of bryan singer? where are the petitions calling for ezra miller to be removed from the flash?
all this meant was having the chance and excuse to be openly misogynistic for views, and receive praise, clout, hoards of new followers from it, because there was such a huge following for depp (the person they think he is because of his films/roles). to openly hate, despise, troll, and tear apart a woman finally. it was only about their own stats, their new found grasp at popularity. they knew they wouldn’t be called out on the sexism, the misogyny because it was fair game. it was amber - the liar. the crier. amber turd. the lies, the jokes about abuse and rape. the misinformation spread like wildfire; public opinion formed from biased tiktok, twitter bots. the lack of critical thinking staggering. “our capn’ jack!”. none of these meme pages, the bots, faceless accounts had any intention of learning about the truth - not about the evidence given in the previous trial. how he lost because the evidence against him was staggering. they have no intention to learn about the domestic abuse statistics. sharing charities, gofundme’s. most of them don’t even understand why the pair were in court in the first place - the legalities of the trial and what that means to other victims of abuse (past, present and future). they couldn’t give a shit about any of them because they didn’t care before the trial in the first place. they even ignored that #metoo counted male victims of domestic abuse too.
his supporters don’t care what his win means to victims, and how it’s stripped them of their right to call themselves victims of abuse. even his ‘fans’ who hailed themselves as victims of abuse, ironically don’t even understand that they can’t even call themselves that anymore, without threat of being sued - because of his win. they don’t care about the victims that don’t have millions in their bank, with no way of escaping their abuser, unable to divorce them, move to another country. they’d do it all over again online to the next woman who this happens to so publicly. because social media reeks of misogyny and society allows it. this trial has set back women decades, and men have jumped happily in on the trend too because women were so prevalent in tearing AH down too. all for that shrivelled red-wine-stained-teeth wrinkly ballsack of a man - * who by the way is back in court for assaulting someone on a fucking film set.

What are your favorite actors?🌼
That's a tough one... 🤔
There are so many great ones but I don't think I have a specific #1 whose movies I always HAVE TO go see. 🤷🏼‍♀️
I'll tell this much tho: I was a big Kevin Spacey fan pre-scandal, and it pissed me the fuck off that we lost out on future gems from him because of his bullshit behavior. 🤦🏼‍♀️
I think I might be more of a director-fan than an actor-fan tbh.
Every new Tarantino movie I will absolutely go see, regardless of topic and actors. I don't always love them, but I will be at the theater for them! 💯
How about you?

im sorry but anyone who thinks cancel culture is in any way real or effective is a moron. remember when lea michele was “cancelled” for being difficult, cruel, and straight-up racist?? oh wait no, she’s now in her dream role on broadway being lavished in critical and audience praise. remember when kevin hart was “cancelled” for making homophobic jokes?? oh wait no, he’s still starring in multiple mainstream movies and making the same millions he was making before. jake paul, trisha paytas, gabbie hanna, pewdiepie, jon tron: social media stars, youtubers, influencers from every corner of the internet who have been “cancelled” who are still making tons of money and haven’t lost their huge platforms. even when the fucking law gets involved, nothing ever sticks (bill cosby was released from prison, kevin spacey was still getting roles). cancellation isn’t a fucking thing!!!!!!

A judge has ordered Kevin Spacey to pay House of Cards producers $31m (£25.5m) for the costs involved in removing him from the series following sexual misconduct allegations.
The US actor was ordered last year to pay entertainment company MRC after claims of misconduct with young crew members, which he denies.
Spacey appealed to have the arbitration award to the producers overturned.
But his request was denied by a judge in Los Angeles on Thursday.
MRC argued that Spacey owed them millions in lost profits because his alleged misconduct meant he had to be removed from the sixth season of the Netflix political drama, and the number of episodes had to be cut from 13 episodes to eight.
Earlier this year, Spacey's lawyers attempted to have the $31m award thrown out, saying his behaviour amounted to nothing more than "sexual innuendos" and "innocent horseplay" and did not violate MRC's anti-harassment policy.
But on Thursday, Judge Mel Red Recana said Spacey and his legal team "fail to demonstrate that this is even a close case", and confirmed Spacey would have to pay the award, which was previously handed down by an arbitrator in October 2020.
The $31m is understood to have consisted of around $29.5 million in damages and $1.5 million in costs and fees.
MRC attorney Michael Kump said: "We are pleased with the court's ruling."
Kevin Spacey pleads not guilty to sexual assault
The original filings from MCR, obtained by the PA news agency, showed how Spacey was cut from the hit Netflix political drama series following allegations he was "systematically preying upon, sexually harassing, and groping young men that he had worked with throughout his career on film, television, and theatre projects".
The arbitrator concluded that Spacey had repeatedly breached contractual obligations to provide services "in a professional manner" which were "consistent with reasonable directions, practices and policies".
Spacey, 63, starred in House Of Cards for five seasons, playing the ruthless politician Frank Underwood, before being cut from the show following the allegations.
He appeared at the Old Bailey in London last month to "strenuously" deny allegations of sexual assault by three men, dating back 17 years to when Spacey was artistic director at The Old Vic theatre.
A trial will take place in June 2023, with a pre-hearing expected to take place early next year.
Spacey is also due to face a civil case, brought by his first public accuser, actor Anthony Rapp, in New York in October.
In 2017, the Hollywood made an apology after being accused of making a sexual advance toward the former child actor.

Lady C Tea YouTube 7/29/23 (a few nuggets paraphrased by me) by u/daisybeach23
Lady C Tea YouTube 7/29/23 (a few nuggets paraphrased by me) Greetings from Castle Goring!Lady C, it has just been announced that Harry lost his court case. Is this the beginning of the end for him? No. Sadly. Is he done for? My dears, he has been done for – for many years. You know the corpse is allowed to be standing and the stink is increasing, let’s put it that way. Harry has several lawsuits – this is one of them. This is a substantial loss for his puppetmaster David Sherborne and the other one, Hugh Grant. The whole lot which includes Elton John, but I do commend him for standing up for his friend Kevin Spacey. Anyway, they are all trying to establish a legal precedent by doing it via lawsuits. Parliament has declined to do anything. Justice Vancourt found Harry’s claims that the Royal Family had a secret agreement with the News Group never existed and was “not plausible or credible.” Justice is really saying Harry is a liar. Harry is allowed to proceed with his other claim regarding illegal methods of news gathering, which I agree with. The important point is to determine whether the news methods were gathered legally or illegally. Hugh Grant, Prince Harry and Elton John are going to have a very difficult time proving news was gathered illegally. Private investigators are allowed to gather information using legal methods. Let’s wait and see. It is already feared that Harry will air more dirty laundry such as Harry complaining that William was protected and he and Meghan were not because he is the Spare.Lady C, Harry and Meghan are having Dan Wooten ruined. I fear you are next. Dan Wooten is not ruined yet. He is being buffeted from all sides. As far as I know, Dan has done nothing immoral or illegal. As far as I know, all he has done certain things that modern gay men of a legal age, do. And, of course he would interact on the Internet using an alias. Dan Wooten has needs and desires. It is ok that he tried to connect with people. Of course Meghan and Harry are after Dan Wooten. Is a Rabbi Jewish? Is the Pope Catholic? Are Meghan and Harry jerks? Am I worried I am going to be next? Let them try. I have nothing to hide. Lady C, I believe Harry will go to Africa to film a show for Netflix. Do you think Meghan will go? If he goes alone, do you think this could help him realize what she has done to him? Or has Meghan completely sucked him dry? I have mixed report on Harry’s state of mind and Meghan’s influence over Harry. I do not believe a word from their quarter. I will make this point. How credible is it that Netflix will take Harry to Africa when the Invictus show has been postponed? Is this another rumor coming from California? Like the rumor they were to present a best picture Oscar? I know people are seriously worried about Harry. They know this situation cannot continue. If Harry goes to Africa, will he be able to recover from Meghan’s influence or will she be calling him nonstop? I have seen sick relationships like this before. They tend to last a long time, and sometimes forever. Because one person is too weak to leave and the other, it is in their worldly interest.Lady C, allegedly Harry and Meghan are hunting the people who denied them an Emmy, as if they actually have power. What is your perception of their power? LOL…..LOL…..First of all, nobody in Hollywood takes them seriously. I do not think this sort of story could have emanated from anybody other than a Sussex supporter. Nobody cares about Meghan and Harry. When they arrived, there was the aura of their royal status, but they ruined it. Now, the Emperor has no clothes. Lady C spent 30 minutes talking about Countess Alexadra Tolsoy has her bank account closed at Nat West. She is very unhappy that certain people are having their bank accounts shut down illegally and says all people deserve to have a bank account as long as everything is legal.Toodles Sinners! post link: https://ift.tt/2RyZ7bJ author: daisybeach23 submitted: July 30, 2023 at 05:12AM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

2013-2022
and some of the worst movies I've ever seen
Hansel and Gretel get Baked (2013) - I..... am just so happy that he only had a cameo right at the beginning. Also, this is literally Macbeth from Wish You Were Dead.
Tumblr media
Behaving Badly (2013) - so what your dad is cheating on your mum with a neighbour, he's living his best life
Tumblr media
Armed response (2013) - can't find this one
A Bit of Bad Luck (2013) - this was supposed to be a comedy...
Tumblr media
Reach me (2014) - I have no idea what this was supposed to be about, something something a self help book, Cary Elwes was a predator again
Tumblr media
H8RZ (2015) - this was so predictable
Tumblr media
Being Charlie (2015) - no this one was pretty good
Tumblr media
A Haunting in Cawdor (2015) - the pacing was way too slow I was falling asleep the entire time
Tumblr media
Lost & Found (2016) - hmm, decent for a kids movie ig
Tumblr media
Sugar Mountain (2016) - incest? in an indie drama? more likely than you think
Tumblr media
Indiscretion (2016) - his only crime was being in a closet why did she have to have him killed
Tumblr media
The Queen of Spain (2016) - another homosexual caricature I should have made a list
Tumblr media
We don't belong here (2017) - "it doesn't matter he's in his mid-50s and the character is supposed to be 20 years younger, nobody can play a convincing pedo than the guy from the princess bride"
Tumblr media
Don't Sleep (2017) - what was that???
Tumblr media
Billionaire Boys Club (2018) - Kevin Spacey AND Ansel Elgort? hard pass
Tumblr media
Ghost light (2018) - whoever tried to market this as a horror movie must have lost their mind, it's a light hearted comedy at best and probably the only movie from this list that I'd watch again
Tumblr media
Black Christmas (2019) - jesus fucking christ
Tumblr media
Best sellers (2021) - another caricature of a homosexual man for comedic relief. Pity, this movie was nice.
Tumblr media
The Unholy (2021) - props to them for finally making him play actual catholic character but the movie was simply boring
Tumblr media
Burning at both ends (2021) - bad, bad, bad!!!!!!!!!!!!! in different ways than the others but still bad!! wait, was he supposed to be a danish protestant pastor?? bad!!
Tumblr media
Last Train to Christmas (2021) - it's like they forgot midway through that the movie was supposed to be about Michael Sheen??
Tumblr media
A Castle for Christmas (2021) - I'm sure so many people enjoyed this movie. But if you wanna tell a story about a Scottish duke you either cast a Scottish actor or literally anyone else but the guy who still struggles to hide his English accent 40 years into his career.
Tumblr media
The Hyperions (2022) - this movie is wasted on the daily wire, it deserved better than that

Again missing the point of what a true celebrity scandal really is. It has to be really bad to be considered scandalous in celebrity circles. //
The only two I can think of who lost their careers in recent times are Armie Hammer and Jussie Smollet but those were extreme cases.
That's exactly what happens.
Look up actual celebrity scandals: besides the two that you mentioned, there are Danny Masterson, Kevin Spacey, Ned Fulmer (not a huge star, but look at what happened to him), Charlie Sheen, Michael Richards, and I could go on.
