' Ship Bias ' for Kisara and Alisha!
Send ‘Ship Bias’ and I will share up to 5 Ships I have a bias for for my muse!
Tumblr media
Dohalim/Kisara
Annnd that's it, that's the list. They have the most history together, and while their development is subtle after a point it's there. She's the first one willing to call him 'Do' after everything. They have a sort of respect for each other, and she seems to have a higher tolerance for his poeticness that likely comes with having known him longer than anyone else in the party. I'm just... very weak for these two. I've definitely written at least two fics for them.
Tumblr media
Sorey/Alisha
Alisha/Chloe
Okay, so. I just... really love Sorey and Alisha's dynamic. They're like kindred spirits. Both of them have read the Celestial Record cover to cover iirc. Both of them are sort of the odd ones out in their respective worlds, Sorey being a human raised by seraphs and Alisha being a knight princess struggling. They know how to build each other up, and support each other when they need it. They're so good for each other, at least imo. I just sorely, sorely wish the game didn't mistreat Alisha by shunting her off to the side in favor of someone else no I will not get over it Alisha deserves better.
Now um. Chloisha is very much a crack ship and I know it. Only really plausible in crossover stuff. But I just was thinking about it one day earlier this year and I just... I don't know. Something about their potential dynamic has me like 😍. Both of them are knights, both of them suffer far more than they need to in their respective canon... I could see an AU where Chloe is assigned as Alisha's knight and things happen and barriers are broken down and mm. Chef's kiss. I probably am the only one onboard with this ship but I will go down with it.

@outoftheirdifferences continued with the beta editor!
So she had somewhere to stay, and she wasn't completely alone. Yet it looked like she was alone right then. Unless someone she was staying with happened to be nearby, and a quick glance around didn't reveal anything pointing to that potential, Kisara had her doubts about the truthfulness of the statements. However, she couldn't pry too far without risking Kiera deciding she'd had enough and trying to leave.
"Now hold on. I never said I wanted anything from you," Kisara decided to say. "I'm just concerned you might get into trouble, that's all." Even with as peaceful as Viscint was compared to other regions of Dahna, the other members of Dohalim's guard might not be so willing to forgive troublemakers. Though... maybe Kisara had no reason to be worried. Even if Kiera was on her own, she wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. Just... living her life.
Kisara stepped back.
"Forgive me," she said. "I suppose I stuck my nose where it didn't belong in this case. I have my own experiences, and seeing you on your own like that reminded me of myself when I was your age." She wouldn't go any further than that. Kiera likely wouldn't want to know and didn't care.
Tumblr media
"Can I at least ask that you not linger for too long? Just in case the Striker I've been looking for shows up." She hadn't missed Kiera's reaction. The child seemed so confident that she'd have trouble in that department, and Kisara hadn't the faintest idea why. A disrespect for authority, perhaps?
Speaking of, lurking in the shadows nearby was a figure about Kiera's age. Catalina knew better than to blow her cover, so when she'd seen Dohalim's captain of the guard speaking to Kiera she had taken the opportunity to hide herself. She was still near enough to see her friend, though, and she had seen the bracelet around Kisara's rist just as plainly. Nothing overtly fancy, but still potentially worth a fair bit of gald.
A worthy mark.
She shifted, silent as anything, but hoped the movement would only be noticed by her friend. She was waiting for the signal to make her move proper. Then they'd be able to slip away with yet another treasure.

What shatters you?
Tumblr media
exhaustion.
you have tried to be Atlas for far too long. your legs tremble and shoulders creak beneath the weight of the world you carry. every step forward is a battle, yet you soldier on... for what? when will you learn that you are allowed to lower your heavy burdens?
Tumblr media
sorrow.
this world takes and takes, and you cannot understand why... your heart cracks with each loss, and now, you fear it is only held together with fraying strings. perhaps you consider how simpler it would be not to care. but, would your soul allow you to?

Let’s see... if the directions are accurate, then...
This should have been the meeting spot. Kisara wasn’t overly sure what to expect, but had gotten word that a friend of Noctis’s wanted to meet her she’d become a little more intrigued. Though most of the time she’d known Noctis had been devoted to fishing, a hobby the two of them shared, she had picked up a few things. One such thing was that Noctis had a small group of friends he traveled with. Just which one of them she’d be meeting there, in the middle of Viscint’s marketplace, remained a mystery to her.
At least, it remained a mystery until she spotted someone nearby. She’d positioned herself near enough to one of the grocery market stalls that she’d be able to get a good vantage point of anyone coming into the area. So far, the young man with blond hair that was spiked up the way it was had been the only one she’d seen approaching who stood out. He looked friendly enough, and his manner of dress was a bit similar to Noctis. Mostly in that he wore a decent amount of black.
Fair enough as far as she was concerned. She was rather curious to know more about the people Noctis kept in his company. So, she held a hand up and waved to try and get Prompto’s attention.
“Excuse me. By any chance, are you looking for someone named Kisara?”
Tumblr media
“Because I was told someone who’s a part of a friend of mine’s friend group wanted to meet me.”

@outoftheirdifferences liked for a Kisara starter!
Nothing. Not a single trace of who could have been behind the rampant thefts that had been occurring throughout Viscint. Kisara couldn’t wrap her head around that much, and she certainly couldn’t rest until she found out who was responsible. Viscint was, after all, supposed to be a bridge of unity between Dahnans and Renans alike. That was what Dohalim was working toward. How could there be peace if someone was going around stealing peoples’ belongings?
As a new day dawned, Kisara set forth from Autelina Palace and into the familiarity of the city. So far, nothing seemed too out of the ordinary. She wasn’t even overly sure of what or who she was looking for. All she knew was that everyone had more or less the same report when it came to the thefts. The thief evidently called themselves the Silent Stalker. Every crime seemed to be committed right under someone’s nose, and the thief seemed to be capable of vanishing without a trace. Was it possible they were a Renan, casting some sort of vanishing arte to conceal themselves? Or were they similar to what she’d heard of Ganabelt, and thus capable of masterful disguises and illusions?
Kisara shook her head. Just getting caught up in her own thoughts wasn’t going to get anything done. What she should have been doing was observing the people as they went about their day. So, she kept walking and made her way into the Viscint marketplace. Dahnans and Renans alike came and went, going about their business as if everything was normal. Kisara knew it wasn’t, though. Not as long as the Silent Stalker was running lose.
There has to be some reason they keep escaping capture, Kisara thought. Today, she was determined to find out that reason. So she stood by, watching, and had purposefully done something different. Around her wrist was a silver bracelet, shiny and tempting. Normally she kept herself from wearing it and tucked it away with her other belongings. Not today, though. What was more tempting to a thief than a piece of jewelry?
I’m sorry to use it as bait, Migal...
Reassuring herself that her brother wouldn’t mind, she returned her attention to the people coming and going. Business was done as usual, sales were made, and conversations were held. Kisara even momentarily took part in one conversation herself before returning to duty.
That was when she’d noticed something.
Tumblr media
A little girl had caught Kisara’s eye. There wasn’t anything immediately unusual about her, but Kisara wasn’t all too sure she’d seen her around before. Maybe that was because she’d otherwise been occupied with other things prior to that moment.
A low hum escaped her. While there wasn’t anything inherently strange about a child being on her own, it still was concerning. So, after a moment’s thought, Kisara moved forward.
“Everything all right?” Kisara hoped she didn’t catch the girl off guard. Mostly she just wanted to find out why this girl was on her own. Maybe she could even inquire about the Silent Stalker, but part of her had her doubts. Why would a child know anything more about a string of thefts than the adults did?

@ervaurem also liked for Kisara and Law things
Tumblr media
“All right. I think that’s enough sparring for today. Good work out there, Law.”
Compliments were not a rarity for Kisara to deliver unto her friends. Especially not when she’d seen how far they had progressed in their combat skills. She just had been particularly aware of Law’s progress. While he had been skilled to start with when she’d met him, there was something about his progression in particular that made her proud.
She wiped a bit of sweat from her brow and allowed her mace and shield to disappear back into the pocket dimension from whence they’d come. For the most part, her own bit of the sparring had been acting as a sort of wall to test Law’s punches and kicks. That was, after all, what her shield was for. Protecting against such blows. She’d gotten her own chance to practice her moves, of course, but still.
“I can tell your blows have gotten stronger recently,” she commented. “Pretty soon, I bet you’d even be able to make a dent in my shield if you wanted to.”

Would people fall in love with you?
Tumblr media
here's your answer: yes, they would. i know you find it hard to believe, but trust me this time. i'm sorry if something or someone in your life made you believe that you're unloveable; god, you're so far from that. despite everything, your heart is tender- a little scarred, yeah, but ready to be stitched up with some care and affection. please remember that your past mistakes don't define you, and nothing, nothing will ever make you unworthy of being loved. you remind me so much of a puppy, a little clumsy and a little uncoordinated, but so precious and tiny. or perhaps- a walnut? hard on the outside, soft on the inside. anyone would be lucky to be with you.

here's your answer: yes, they would. falling in love with you feels like falling for your childhood best friend. it's warm, cozy, just feels so natural. it feels right. you're someone who knows how to make people feel comfortable around you; soft spoken, sweet, gentle, such a caring soul. it's hard not to like you. even though i don't really know you, somehow i feel like i have a weak spot for you already; you remind me so much of one of those plaid blankets, the ones you would wrap around your shoulders on a rainy day, and of the tepid sunlight that creeps through the curtains in the early morning. will you be mine?
Tumblr media
here's your answer: yes, they would. what i want you to understand is that sometimes people love us in a quiet, reserved way. little things, little gestures that we don't pay much attention to- those are gestures of love, too. you're like the bright, bright moon in the midnight sky. people admire you from afar, a little starstruck because you're just so gorgeous. please, don't settle for anything less than the best for you; you really deserve it. with you, i associate endless nights spent listening to the rain, and the softest of blue silks. you're such a dream, i can't believe you're real.

Those Who Appreciate the Shield
Tumblr media
“Hey, Kisara? I think you might have a fan club.”
Tumblr media
“A fan club? Me? Are you sure you don’t have me mixed up with someone else?”
Tumblr media
“Pretty sure, yeah! You know that guy you went fishing with? The one that also really liked fishing?”
Tumblr media
“Of course I remember him. How could I not? We still go fishing together.”
Tumblr media
“Well, apparently he’s got a group of friends who’ve heard of you too! And it sounded like they all want to meet you!”
Tumblr media
“Well, this is a first. Usually I’d expect that to be the case for the rest of you!”
Tumblr media
“But if they really do want to meet me, then I’d be more than happy to! Any friend of his is a friend of mine.”

Tough Love and Self Care
Tumblr media
“I’m noticing a trend here.”
Tumblr media
“What would that be, Kisara?”
Tumblr media
“It’s come to my attention that there’s an alarming number of you here who don’t seem to understand the concept of self care.”
Tumblr media
“I... have no idea what you’re talking about!”
Tumblr media
“I agree. Simply preposterous. Whatever would give you such an idea?”
Tumblr media
“Oh, I don’t know. The fact that I’ve seen Jude running around making sure everyone else has eaten before he does? Or just flat out not eating or sleeping because he has something much more important he feels he should be doing? Or perhaps the fact that you put off taking care of your own needs for as long as possible, Colonel?”
Tumblr media
“And not just you two. Asch, Rita, Tear... even the Fon Master. You all have a serious problem here! You need to take better care of yourselves!”
Tumblr media
“We can take care of ourselves just fine, Kisara.”
Tumblr media
“Yeah, butt out!”
Tumblr media
“I... I’m sorry. I’m afraid I have to agree with the others. We all look out for each other.”
Tumblr media
“Oh, really? Because both you and Ion in particular seem to have a nasty habit of telling others not to worry about you.”
Tumblr media
“...She isn’t wrong. I’m sorry.”
Tumblr media
“Seriously, Ion?! I-It’s not that bad, is it?”
Tumblr media
“Yes, it is! If you all keep this up, you’re all going to run yourselves ragged. And then you’ll be an even bigger worry to someone than you would be otherwise!”
Tumblr media
“Oh dear. It seems Jude’s bad habits have rubbed off on everyone.”
Tumblr media
“Yeah. Nice going, Jude!”
Tumblr media
“Wait, how is this my fault?!”
Tumblr media
“All right, that’s enough! Starting right now all of you are going to take time off and relax! That’s an order!”
Tumblr media
“Are... are we being parented right now?”
Tumblr media
“So it would seem.”
Tumblr media
“Well... for what it’s worth, I think it’s nice that Kisara is trying to look out for all of us.”

@ervaurem liked for a Kisara starter!
Now... where should I cast my line?
That was always the hardest part about getting back into fishing. Once she got started, the rest was easy. It always was just finding that perfect first spot that made Kisara take that extra time. Her eyes scanned every possible spot she could see on the lake, but she still waited. She did have time, at least. The others were setting up camp some distance away and, since she’d spotted that lake on the way there, she’d promised to bring back something to cook up.
“Maybe I should try standing in a different spot,” she mused. That seemed to settle that, so she picked up her box of lures and started to move to a different place by the lake. This one didn’t have a very large pier, but there were plenty of spots to stand in the grass and around it in general. So either way, she’d find her spot.
It was as she was walking that she realized something. Some distance from her, in the direction she was walking, appeared to be a young man. A young man who, she quickly realized, must have been there for the same purpose as her. Why else would he have a fishing rod? Her smile brightened as she approached.
“I didn’t think I’d be meeting another fisher out here today,” Kisara said.
Tumblr media
“I hope you don’t mind the company sudden company. I’m something of a fishing enthusiast, and was hoping to find the right spot to get started,” she explained. Honestly speaking, she was excited to meet another fisher at all. It was so rare Kisara got to talk fishing tactics with anyone. The others would indulge her, but they didn’t understand fully. Not really.
So this? This was a rare treat. Maybe she’d even become friends with this young man.

@ervaurem continued with the beta also after TEN THOUSAND YEARS...
As far as Kisara was concerned, as long as Noct didn't immediately present himself as suspicious then she had no right to treat him as such. From where she stood, he was a fellow fishing enthusiast. Perhaps not the most talkative immediately, but that was all right. he didn't have to be. Most of the time, fishing just was a quiet sort of hobby with fleeting moments of excitement when big catches came their way. It had been a while since she'd really had a big catch herself, but she was hoping for that good luck. Perhaps Noct was that good luck charm? Or maybe that was a bit silly, she told herself.
"He was pretty cool," Kisara agreed. "Taught me everything I know, and not just about fishing. We were quite close, especially since he raised me for a good portion of my life. So... you can understand how I'd want to hang onto this fishing rod and use it for as long as I could." Even she had to admit she was surprised by how freely she spoke of what had happened, even if she didn't explain everything. The implication was clear enough, even if the vague way she'd gone about talking about it wasn't the best.
So naturally, when Noct returned the topic to himself and his own catches, she was all ears. Golden eyes were wide with awe as she imagined the kinds of catches that would take four people to carry. She whistled.
"You must be a very talented fisher! I've caught some pretty large catches, but I'd love to hear the stories behind your own if we have time." And then his name. Noctis. Not the usual sort of name Kisara would have heard, but it suited him. She knew enough from spending time around Dohalim to wager a guess on his name's meaning. Something having to do with night, perhaps? Either way, it still suited him.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Noctis," she said. "As for myself, this is mostly what I'm meant to be doing today. My friends and I were looking for a good spot to camp around here while we continue on our own journey, so while they take care of that much, I'm making sure we have something to eat."
Tumblr media
"I guess it's just the sort of role I've fallen into with them. But I don't mind. Someone has to make sure everyone gets enough to eat," she explained. Someone also had to make sure everyone was taking care of themselves in general. Making sure their clothes were mended and clean, that there was enough gald to use for supplies, that their supplies weren't running dangerously low... especially the last one, Kisara thought with a small shake of her head. Dohalim was better about it now, but she'd seen him eyeing up expensive items from time to time. Someone had to curb the group's spending habits.
"What about you, Noctis? Was this all you were going to be doing today?"

@ervaurem continued with the beta editor after TEN THOUSAND YEARS...
Part of her was still quietly stunned that Dohalim would come to her aid the way he had, but at the same time knew it was silly to feel that way. The whole purpose of his being the Lord was to further his current plans for a utopia of Renans and Dahnans. Of course that meant he would come to her aid when the Renan members of the guard decided that she and Migal were lesser than them. Still, as the troublemakers in question shuffled off, Kisara couldn't help but allow herself to relax visibly.
When he apologized, Kisara was caught off guard. A Lord wasn't ever expected to apologize to anyone, much less a Dahnan. Her mouth hung open, words failing her. What was she meant to say in response?
Tumblr media
"Oh, no, it's... the fault is not yours, my Lord," Kisara said when she found the words. "People still are adjusting to the changes, I suppose. Migal and I have met similar resistance to our presence in the guard recently. It's... expected, isn't it? Since we're Dahnan?" It almost was a little embarrassing to admit that much out loud, but that was the truth of it. The divide between Renans and Dahnans hadn't been fully crossed yet. Dohalim's time as Lord had only begun fairly recently. Nonetheless, she was still grateful for the help. Her expression said as much when her features seemed to soften just a touch.
"Still... thank you. For saying something," she told him. Wait... he wanted some of her time? Again, surprise was evident in her eyes. He wanted to investigate some troubling news of zeugle activity, and he wanted her help specifically? Kisara considered what that meant for a moment. It could be a show of what he was capable of as Lord, she knew. At the same time, if he was specifically seeking her out for this, there was a benefit. A Renan and Dahnan working together would foster more good will for his desire for the two races getting along.
A logical maneuver, she realized. It was seeming all the more likely that Migal's belief in Dohalim was well placed, if the Lord had such plans already. She allowed herself to warm up to the idea.
"Of course," Kisara answered at last. "I'd be happy to help. Allowing these zeugles to run rampant wouldn't be good for anyone." She stood up taller, bringing her hand to the familiar salute the guard knew. Bright-eyed and eager, Kisara was ready to do what she had to.
"We should head out as soon as we can then, shouldn't we?"
