It’s here!!! Motionless In White return with album number 6, and following on from Disguise is going to be a very hard job because that shit right there was phenomenal. First we got “Cyberhex (ft . Lindsay Schoolcraft)” which was certainly a well crafted piece, Schoolcraft being a solo artist producing ethereal gothic soundscapes has really elevated this, it’s got the aggression, the ambiance, gorgeous evil melodies, the orchestral elements make everything feel bigger. “Masterpiece” was a different beast all together, it’s a soft gorgeous track and I tell you what I had to check they didn’t have Breaking Benjamin guesting on it because there’s a strongggggg BB vibe here, they definitely should do a version of this with them, not that they need anyone else because Chris Motionless’ range and emotional vocals reach through everything perfectly (for another similar track from this album try “Porcelain”). “Slaughterhouse” gets a helping hand from Knocked Loose’ vocalist Bryan Garris, he was definitely the guy for the job on this, that harsh punk vibe fits like a puzzle piece, “ONE MUTILATION, UNDER GOD!” And queue all hell breaking loose, top tier quality. Next was the albums title track for which they enlisted the help of Mick Gordon, most well known for providing us with the infamous sounds of the DOOM franchise, almost a match made in hell you might say, I mean it’s just so grand and almost larger than life, gives the feeling of truly watching the world end and being completely hopeless, the conflicting emotions and acceptance of the end “screaming a war-torn requiem, be not afraid”. Other top quality moments come from album opener “Meltdown” where they throw everything they have in their arsenal together industrial, melodic, aggressive, harsh, soft, creepy. “Red, White & Boom” with Beartooth’s Caleb Shomo. “We Become The Night” is like Lordi meets Rob Zombie, spooky boogie. Another instalment of Broadcasting From Beyond The Grave with “Corpse Nation” and it might be the best one yet, 3 minutes never went by so quick. “Cause Of Death” which is up there as a top contender for the heaviest song. I don’t know what anyone could possibly want from a Motionless In White album that isn’t present here, they’ve changed their sound quite a lot over the years and here is a perfect combination of all of it, without having to compromise, that’s about as perfect as it gets.

with a title like "the burden ov faith" the topics covered in this song and album likely won't surprise you too much.

this band seems to have some issues with the church, and they make that fact well known across this entire album.

Gonna self-project and say that Modern AU Eddie would love MIW. I’m imagining him and Chrissy singing this song together (Eddie doing Chris’ parts and Chrissy doing Lindsay Schoolcraft’s more operatic parts) and it’s making me feel things 🥹🖤

Also Eddie would 100000000% scream “BLEGH!” at the top of his lungs at every chance he gets
