(this theory is me either cooking or getting cooked :D)
So this has been question that has been bothering me for a while now which Bad himself pointed out during one of the ghostie following EGGS.
Significance of us holding the sugarcane?
So I tried to fine the answers in mythology as always (I hate mythology digging but when your streamer is a demon both in lore and irl what can you do *sigh*)
So after tons of researching till my eyes go square I got some answers in Hindu Mythology or atleast found a refrence to sugarcane in that one.
So there is an important event in Hindu mythology called Samudra Manthan or Churning Of The Ocean.
The Samudra Manthan, also known as the Churning of the Ocean, is a famous episode from Hindu mythology that appears in the Vishnu Purana, Mahabharata, and other texts. In this mythological event, the gods and demons join forces to churn the cosmic ocean in order to obtain the nectar of immortality .To churn the ocean, the gods and demons use Mount Mandara as the churning rod and the serpent Vasuki as the rope. As they churn, various treasures and beings emerge from the ocean.
So one of the things that came out of the churning was Kalpavriksha (tree of life or w divine fulfilling tree)
The Kalpavriksha, or Kalpataru, is a mythical tree that is believed to grant wishes and fulfill desires. In Hindu mythology, the Kalpavriksha is often associated with the churning of the ocean and is said to have emerged from it. The Kalpavriksha symbolizes abundance, prosperity, and the fulfillment of wishes. Its branches are believed to bear fruit that grants whatever one desires, similar to the concept of the Tree of Life or the Tree of Knowledge found in other mythologies.
The event of churning the ocean itself was a symbol of the eternal struggle between good and evil, the quest for immortality, and the cyclical nature of creation and destruction.
So in short the symbol of sugarcane according to this+
1) abundance of blessings and the sweetness of life that the divine bestows upon devotee
2) symbolizes the fulfillment of desires and the granting of wishes by the divine
3) believed to offer spiritual nourishment to the soul, uplifting and purifying the devotee's consciousness
4) Sugarcane is a fast-growing crop that regenerates quickly after being harvested. In this sense, it symbolizes renewal, regeneration, and the cyclical nature of life and creation. It reminds devotees of the eternal cycle of birth, death, and rebirth in Hindu cosmology.
Now I don't know how deep does the lore significance of the sugarcane in hand go. But what I do know is that sugarcane has very less representations in mythology (almost close to none tbf) and Hindu mythology is the only one I could possibly find.
Another sugarcane representation in Hindu mythology is about Goddess Laxmi, who also was one of the three goddess that emerged from churning of the ocean event.
Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, prosperity, and fortune, is often depicted sitting on a lotus flower holding sugarcane stalks in her hands. Sugarcane symbolizes the sweetness and abundance of blessings that Lakshmi brings to her devotees.

Accha lagta hai
Part 7
You weren't sure if it was what you saw. The cuffs of his half sleeve tshirt, stretched by his bicep partially hid it with his flexing muscles. Was it a shadow, or something doodled?
"Like what you see?" Ram's raspy, dark voice pulled you out of your trance. You snapped back to reality to see his smug face. Huffing, you threw your plates back, getting back to work at hand.
The chores of the day fogged your mind, almost erasing the memory of what you saw on his arm. It was after Ram bathed and you were in the bedroom, mending one of his shirts. He came out, with a loose towel wrapped around his waist only. You couldn't help but stare at the rippling muscles and hair when you caught the site of it again, on the inside of his right bicep. Your eyebrows furrowed wondering what you're seeing is right or just an illusion of shadows, when you were interrupted by your husband again. "If you want me just say that"
His statement brought you back to world. You put his shirt down, and made your way to him. You grabbed his arm and turned it to see- and you were right- a tattoo. You gasped, looking at his non chalant face. You pulled him to the bed, setting him down and sitting too. "Why didn't you tell me" you traced the ink slightly, it was a small lotus. Ram just shrugged. "I didn't think you'd really care" he knew he messed up when he saw your confused face. "You're my husband! I care about everything you do" Ram couldn't help but smile, staring at your face.
"What's the lotus for?" You whispered, still mesmerized by the tattoo. "You" his answer was unexpected, and he knew that when your head shot up. "Your eyes are big like lotus, your hands are soft like lotus, and you're my goddess, like Laxmi maa on lotus. When I first saw you, you were holding two lotuses. And like a lotus in mud, you grow so beautifully in my mess-"
Ram felt a hand on his lips before he could continue. You nodded, not letting him continue. Ram smiled, and your attention went back to tracing it. "When did you get it?" "Some weeks ago" "Did you hide it from me?" "Not really, I was asked to cover it or it would hurt" you nodded, your eyes not leaving the art piece. A hair fringe fell on your face which Ram tucked away. You smiled at him and he knew all the love you held for him.

Who is Kuber the God of wealth?
Tumblr media
Wealth is revered in Hindu culture as a crucial component for the maintenance and preservation of life on Earth. Hindu Gods live in splendor and enjoy all of life’s pleasures. Money, according to Hinduism, is designed to reflect the greater good and progress of humanity, rather than evil acts. All Hindus venerate Goddess Laxmi as the goddess of wealth, fortune, and money. Kuber is known as the God of Wealth in Hinduism. Money, as we all know, is the cornerstone of a decent and joyful living in our world. Growing wealth is the result of good karma from the past. As a result, some people are affluent while others are poverty. Financial difficulties will injure you and prevent you from achieving your most important life objectives.
How to make Kuber happy? Get an online astrology consultation by the world-renowned Astrologer Mr. Alok Khandelwal.
The Hindu God linked with money, riches, and material goods is Kubera. Kuber does not generate riches, but he is thought to be the one who carefully distributes and protects wealth among the intended worshippers. Goddess Lakshmi is connected with wealth generation, while Kuber is frequently represented as a secondary god. He likes traveling aboard Pushpak, the flying chariot given to him by Lord Brahma. Aside from it, some manuscripts show Lord Kuber holding a mace, a pomegranate, or a treasure sack. He is commonly associated with the mongoose, and in certain accounts, he is also associated with the elephant. Hindus worship Lord Kuber, also known as Kubera, Kuvera, Kuberan, and Dhanpati, as the richest deity.
He is revered as the deity of wealth in Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism. Kubera is the King of the Yakshas and an ardent lover of Shiva in Hindu mythology. After countless years of penance, Shiva granted Kubera darshan with Goddess Parvati.
Kubera had never seen Goddess Parvati before and was stunned by her magnificence and beauty, which was adorned with gems. Goddess Parvati misinterpreted Kubera’s gazing for bad intent and cursed him by causing one of his eyes to rupture.
Kubera was now left with one eye, and he stated that he had looked because he had never seen such magnificent gold jewelry before.
Goddess Parvati recognized her error, and the one eye Kubera had lost grew but remained smaller than the other.
Shiva also made Kubera an Ashta Dikpala, guarding the northern direction.
He has designated the deity of prosperity and material goods by Goddess Parvati.

Another mythology claims that Kubera is Brahma's grandson.
According to this mythology, Kuber is a direct descendant of Lord Brahma said to be his grandson in some books. He is the son of Vishrava and Illavida. With Kauberi, they have four children (also known as Yakshi, Bhadra, and Charvi). People used to mock the world’s wealth custodian because of his overweight look. Kuber, disturbed, went to tremendous lengths to appease Lord Shiva.
Lord Shiva approached Him, delighted, and bestowed upon Him the blessing of being the guardian of all wealth, at which point all mankind began to adore Kuber. In Sanskrit, ‘Kuber’ means distorted or deformed. As a result of the name’s connotation, Lord Kuber is depicted as chubby and tiny. He has the color of lotus leaves and a variety of irregularities in his body structure. He only has three legs, eight fangs, and a single yellow eye. Lord Kuber, the wealthiest deity, is adorned with heavy jewelry and carries a jar or bag filled with gold coins.
He is also said to be Vaishravana, Ravana’s brother. But Ravana vanquished him and exiled his Pushpak Viman to the Kailash. It was here that he performed penance and received lord Shiva’s benediction.
Kubera is frequently shown holding a vessel encrusted with Navratnas. He is also shown as sprinkling gold.
There are several tales related to Kubera, the most well-known of which is associated with Lord Balaji or Venkateswara. Lord Balaji is reported to have borrowed money from Kubera to marry Goddess Lakshmi on Earth. However, the condition was that Lord Balaji not leave the world until he had repaid the sum. It is said that Lord Balaji is still paying interest on the debt to Kubera. And worshippers generously give to aid Lord Balaji.
On Thursdays, Kubera is worshipped alongside Goddess Lakshmi in various parts of India. During Diwali, an important puja is performed in honor of Kubera.
Lord Kuber is also regarded as the “Treasurer of the Gods.” He is the personification of wealth, success, and glory. Lord Kuber not only shares the universe’s wealth but also safeguards and secures it. As a result, Lord Kuber is also known as the riches guardian.
