17, 18, and 19 for any OC!
17. Does your OC have an enemy? What happened between them? Is it mutual or one-sided? Is it petty or serious? Is one party seeking revenge? Does one person want the other dead or are they content to hate them from afar?
😏... Yeaaah. I've got some OCs like that...
Poster child for it is definitely Korosa. His enemy is his older brother, Asorok. They got into their fair share of trouble as kids. Usually [Korosa] was the scapegoat. Things went wrong during the Herr-Ten invasion. Asorok tried to take responsibility and get his brother out of there, but in the process they had to leave behind their mom. [Korosa] resented him for it ever since, and his growing insanity didn't help either as it warped a lot of the details of the event with time, eventually leading him to believe Asorok was directly responsible for her death. What his false memories won't tell him was that it had already been too late for her. But it makes more sense of her senseless death to have someone to blame other than some faceless space pirates, so he hates Asorok instead.
In truth, Asorok was harsher with him than he needed to be, but he was stressed and grieved and frustrated himself, just trying to get away from the horror and get his stupid broken brother out of there. Asorok resents [Korosa]'s stubbornness and insistence it was his fault, which drove a wedge between them further. To add insult to injury, Asorok also left the family business, deciding to become a doctor instead, being convinced after the invasion he wanted to bring life instead of death. This only exacerbated [Korosa]'s worsening condition, as now he had the family legacy to carry on all by himself. Though they were still forced to be around one another and ended up on the same platoon, they never once had a decent conversation after that. They have nothing left but resentment and contempt for the other, and the few times [Korosa] had begun to turn around and try to have a conversation with him, he'd be pushed away. The few times Asorok tried to reach out, he'd end up muttering some snide comment under his breath and only add fuel to the fire. Even their best conversations during that time probably ended in a fight. Platoon leadership might have stepped in occasionally, but never really fixed the underlying issue. Some members probably found their feud funny and only added still more fuel to the fire, especially on [Korosa]'s end since it'd be easier to convince him than Asorok. Others were sick of it and just wanted them to kill each other already.
It's probably a mix of petty and serious since it's been a long-running feud. A lot of the incidents were pretty serious, other times it's just petty spats.
And... Yeah. Definitely one party is seeking revenge... Particularly the one that still thinks it's Asorok's fault... 😏 Enough to want him dead, but has spent a lot of time hating him from both afar and close-up too.
18. Has your OC ever had a prophecy made about them? Was it a big deal or did they ignore it? Was it straightforward or cryptic? Did it ever come to pass or did they circumvent it?
Hmm. Maybe Tsunne and Tsuname had something said over both of them. It probably haunted Tsunne all his life and he tried to prevent it. I imagine it was something poetic but with a clear meaning. If he didn't learn to control the power he was given, it would rise up and crush him and with it, everything he loved. Some of this did come to pass, but it didn't destroy everything he loved.
Tsuname's was probably something like he would always be the lesser wave, and if he dares try to rise to Tsunne's level, he'd encounter the same fate. So Tsuname was pretty content to play second fiddle. Though there were times he wanted to be more than he was, Tsunne was so unreachable that Tsuname dismissed the prophecy outright. It never seemed to matter because Tsunne was always better, and there was something comforting about that. Constant even.
19. Has your OC ever had an experience with the paranormal or the divine? What happened? Was it a one time encounter or is it a normal part of their life? Did they find it terrifying or thrilling?
Several of the aliens have had dreams that bordered on paranormal, but I don't know if that counts since a lot of it is probably just memories or manifested fears.
I had a thought that maybe Waizu has some kind of experience towards the end of his life but I haven't entirely figured that out yet. S'kinda hard with the setup but it was an interesting thought I had. As for the experience itself (if it even happens), maybe dreadful, but I don't know about terrifying.
The closest one is maybe... I don't know if Ril'siiya experimented with some weird fermented fruit when she was younger and saw things and quickly swore off using the stuff. XD; It was probably a rather mild experience, like saw some weird faerie or something, could have been a hallucination though.
This question is probably a lot easier with a different story. I think a number of the human characters have had stuff. Olive had some vision, a number of the humans have gotten saved so that counts as a divine experience right there. Even Megan had paranormal dreams in the TS sequel that never came to fruition. Some of em probably kinda spooked her.
But yeah for the rest of the humans, maybe a handful have had divine experiences of one type or another. I guess even the Buddys have had experiences that are ??neither?? but I guess supernatural by their standards. Visions/dreams are the ones that come to mind. A lot of those across the stories, huh.
Anyways, thanks for the questions Dia!!

Trainers of The Korosa Region
First drawing of 2024, and since last year I mentioned that Bluefire and Nightglade were human, I decided I should actually make human designs for them (including names). I gave them full names before realising that most Pokemon characters don't have full names but there's already official characters in both the games and anime with their first names but not their last names, I feel like their trainer names would be their last names instead (I put that as an alt on the Twitter upload of this linked below). As for the title of this post, the Korosa Region (a Brazil inspired region) is where Bluefire and Nightglade's story (titled Heavenly Heroes) take place. I might even make moments of them as Lucas Finnegan and Oliver Renard (their true forms) along with moments of them being Bluefire and Nightglade (their transformed state).

Although Artemis didn’t tend to visit New Tyne often, preferring her own haunts around Korosa, there were times where she’d head into the big city to do some work for Nor Fel, spend some time at the nightclubs under her dancer’s alias “the Red Ghost”... Or, as she was doing at that current moment, grabbing a bite to eat at Trattoria Georgi. It was a quiet place, the food was good, and it was an excellent place to observe the comings and goings of New Tyne’s residents. After all, the Georgi doubled as a smuggler’s meeting point, on the downlow.
And there was a lot a girl could learn from listening to smugglers.
At that point in time, all was good. She felt no urge to linger, no sense of impending doom she needed to pick up on. Once her meal was paid for, she downed the last of a glass of hiskal, shrugged on her leather jacket, and stepped out onto the walkway along the Via Notoli.
...And paused in surprise, as she was all but walked into by a man she just so happened to recognize.
“Hey, watch where you’re— szar, is that you, Leonard?” Shit.
Weird. Out of everyone she’d expected to possibly encounter while in New Tyne, one of her regular customers back at Korosa’s Club White Hot, was not it. Hell, she’d first met him back in one of New Tyne’s nightclubs —  L’Arctique, she thought it had been — and had then been surprised when he’d visited Club White Hot over two months later. She had told him that she lived in Korosa, and she supposed he’d taken a liking to her enough to look for her there the next time he’d come to Venezia.
To bump into him in broad daylight, however, was a slightly different story.
“We meet again, I suppose.”

バケモノの話 / bakemono no hanashi - NEE vö 29.11.2022

"Hai. Dōhō o takusan korosa re terunode, kyōryoku-tekidesu."
"Yes. [I] killed many of its brethren, so [it'll] cooperate [with us]."
I had to find the raw of this panel just to confirm that the translation was correct. I just remembered this moment where Amaimon bluntly admits to murdering the kin of guardian spirit of the Academy Forest District.
Considering what we know about his connection to the earth and Shemihaza, the Emperor of Creation, and Amaimon's Greenmen kin, I wonder what the implications of murdering the kin of a nature spirit has.
We know Shemihaza crystallised 'parts' of Amaimon. What those parts are has yet to be revealed, but it is fairly certain to be Amaimon's power, considering his sensitivity around the subject and low ranking among the demon kings. It would also be a reasonable response to his destruction of the land in the past.
But while he is severely weakened, Amaimon is still very capable of murder, which he indulges in to the extreme here. It feels personal.
Could Amaimons' extreme behaviour reveal resentment and hatred for Shemihaza and her subjugation of him? It would make a lot of sense.

,58 57 56 55 Main Aliens cast
Yayayayayayay thanks for the asks!!
55. What’s something they’re expected to enjoy based on their hobbies / profession that they actually dislike / hate?
Naru - She may still have a hobby of tinkering and making little toy robots, but I don't think she really enjoys higher mechanics. I think she likes being able to follow a set of instructions, so she might construct things out of kits mostly. Anything mechanical that isn't spelled out in a manual of some kind and she'd probably get frustrated. Like she probably actually despises programming because she had to come up with the function herself rather than having it fed to her and she just follows the instructions. I guess any kind of engineering or tech stuff that requires some amount of mental work. I don't think she likes having to do mental work in general.
Shiido - Perhaps it could be inferred by his knack for mechanics that he'd enjoy riding in an average land or sea vehicle. He does not. He may show interest in the schematics of them, but he probably can't stand moving on land that way, especially if they're slow.
Korosa - Shardsmithing is seen as an old profession, so it gets associated with stuff like antiques and record players, so it could therefore be inferred he likes old music. He doesn't. His profession specifically gets associated with really grating hillbilly-esque folk music. He can't stand the sound of record grain itself, so you'd be hard-pressed to find any record song he'd like, even if it wasn't cacophonous hillbilly folk. He may barely tolerate record classical-esque music. In fact, he probably doesn't even like most music, even if it's modern. Nature sounds and a handful of chill EDM songs are probably where it's at for him, but on a record the grain would annoy him too much, like an audible scab, he'd just have the urge to pick at it but he can't because it's audio. It would definitely take modern engineering to get him to like the sound of record grain, and even then he'd hate that he does.
Sz'nami - Since she works as the village doctor's assistant, perhaps one could infer she'd like doing child care as well. I don't know if she'd overly enjoy it. She'd probably find it pretty chaotic and if it blended into teaching she'd be pretty up the creek without a paddle. I think she would do better with smaller groups or one on one rather than a horde, but yeah, probably wouldn't super enjoy managing a big group of unruly children.
Tsuname - Since he likes weaving bracelets and collecting little rocks and things, maybe it'd be associated he'd like working with other things with small pieces, like puzzles. I honestly think puzzles with lots of tiny pieces would stress him out. He'd have a better chance at success if started out with very simple ones at first to get him used to the concept, but if he had like a 200-piece one he'd probably work at it for 5-10 minutes before batting it away in a rage. So yeah. I don't think he'd dislike puzzles as a concept, but he does not have the patience for big ones, even before going to space he'd probably rather run around and do things than sit still and drill.
Ril'siiya - Since she collects fruit and hunts small game, maybe it could be thought she'd enjoy hunting bigger game. While she'd certainly enjoy the end result, she probably would not enjoy the process quite as much, especially if it was elk or bear-sized, much less monster-sized. Like having to go to some stinky monster den to hunt some giant beast inside it. Probably not terribly enjoyable.
56 If they’re scared, who do they want comfort from? Does this answer change depending on the type of fear?
Naru - Shiido, always. Though in her teen years she was less discriminate and would choose just about anybody who would hug her. I think this would extend to any fear that wouldn't interfere with hugging itself, like if her fear involved touching something. Then she might settle for just words of encouragement.
Shiido - He generally retreats into his mind when he's dealing with fear. He wants to study the problem first to see if it has a solution. I think secretly he would desire comfort from Naru, but he'd probably feel too embarrassed to ask, like figuring it out himself is more like a test of strength. Though when his fear was becoming Naru's slave it was much worse than that. Wanting to go to her for comfort, but at the same time knowing that couldn't lead anywhere good with Rete and Waizu no longer in the picture, and thus needing to pull himself away, but also this sucks and I could really use somebody else's presence right now! And on and on the cycle went until he ended up in a better place that could help him process things, and where he could receive comfort without it coming from the target of his fears.
Korosa - He doesn't really have anybody he could go to at the start of the story. On a particularly bad day he may think back to his mother, but she's no longer in the picture anyway and it only drives his fury. So he just has to deal with it himself. Later in the story there may be somebody he thinks he can reach out to, but... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) 🤫 Of course if that somebody is the cause of his fear he might try to rely on himself again, but other than that...
Sz'nami - She might go to the village doctor Virola to talk things out. She may only receive gruff answers from her, but it's better than nothing.
Tsuname - Gangarame probably. He's the only one that can put up with Tsuname's storms and keep him in check.
Ril'siiya - She generally finds comfort in her treehome. She probably beds down and curls up when she's scared. If her fear was specifically being alone, that'd probably force her to talk to her grandma, but she wouldn't be happy about it. She doesn't really like to talk about the sappy stuff with her. Doesn't often feel heard or like her grandmother will care. She'll probably just be given a task and told to forget about it with busyness like always.
57 What’s a simple daily activity / motion that they mess up often?
Naru - Anything where she has to pour hot water. She probably wears gloves from all the times she's accidentally burned herself doing it.
Shiido - There's probably some cable or other clutter he always trips on. So, walking, I guess. He's usually pretty careful, but sometimes a space can get messy and he's focused on something else and not watching where his feet are going.
Korosa - If he has to peel anything off a hard, jagged surface like wood or plastic, he is 100% going to give himself a splinter or end up jamming his finger into some hard sharp part. He's probably the kind that would completely ruin stickers, cannot get them to peel nicely a lot of the time. Always brings the paper behind it with it if it's on paper. Anything really fine like that where he has to get something very thin and sticky off another surface he is going to scuff up one way or another. Off of metal is probably his best chance as long as it's got enough room between the sticker and the edge not to jam his finger into. So like a sheet of metal with a sticker safely in the middle, much less of a problem unless it's super thin and possibly old. Then it's for sure coming off in pieces and shreds and there's gonna be sticky papery bits he's gonna have to scrape off with a thumbnail or something. All while risking nails-on-a-chalkboard teeth-hurty effect. But yeah, metal, lots of room between the sticker and the edge of the surface, one of those thick kinda oily stickers? Way better chance of success.
Sz'nami - Probably also walking. Is thinking about something else, doesn't see that driftwood in the sand, it catches her foot, splat (or maybe more of a hiss or poof since it's sand). Face down on the ground. This probably happens a little less often in the forest with roots and such, but if it's already a fairly cleared path she might not be expecting it and, crash, poof! Face full of detritus.
Tsuname - I bet he's more likely to get his fin-wings stuck in things. In childhood he'd often get holes and tears in the membranes from crashing around the forest. They heal up pretty fast though and it doesn't tend to hurt unless it strikes a fin spine, so it's a pretty common injury, especially for the young and reckless. As an adult there's less of an excuse and the membranes are a lot tougher, so he generally avoids anything more serious than a tiny poke hole, but he will have to pause and pull it out if he doesn't want a tear. The membranes become more sensitive to pain if they've dried, but it's still not a super pleasant experience to get a tear even when wet.
Ril'siiya - A jump from one tree to another. She probably does it all the time, but probably often doesn't quite land where she intends. She probably gets splinters a lot also but they're such a common thing they don't faze her at all. Vyrens may even be able to integrate pieces of wood into their fingers to create better grips, so it might even be beneficial to collect splinters. They might even be able to move the splinters around as part of their plant powers. I knew for sure they had spiky grips on their fingers and feet, but until now I thought it was a natural part of their species. Maybe it's them controlling splinters. 😂 I never thought about that before. New development for Vyrens unlocked, I always thought their powers were a bit lackluster. This has Implications™️. I wonder if this means they can integrate larger pieces of like bark and stuff if they wanted to. Maybe it only works on stuff like splinters to begin with, and larger manipulation would probably have to be trained...
58 How many hobbies have they attempted to have over their lifetime? Is there a common theme?
Naru - in order: gymnastics, martial arts, video games, puzzles, reading, laser targeting, programming, hacking, making little robots, cooking, making other crafts, watching TV. There's a transition in childhood from more physical activities to digitized ones, though gaming was not without ones involving physical stuff like virtual reality/simulations and dance games, which was a recurring hobby after its introduction well into the laser targeting phase, though by then she was getting more into population simulator games and other technical ones. Wanting to use her hands and make things resurfaced in the programming era which gave rise to her using her knowledge to build simple robots. There seems to be a bit of an ebb and flow between physical activities and sedentary ones. Once she gets sick of a sedentary one, she's trying to integrate it into a new physical activity it would seem like. I guess she likes being able to use her hands. Cooking probably arose from liking to follow a set of instructions and ending up with a joyous result, though she eventually got bored of it when following a recipe got too repetitive, so she decided to figure out new little things she could make with a set of instructions. Eventually she got tired of that and started watching TV, which is her most current hobby.
Shiido - from early childhood he always had an interest in inventing and technology. From there he got into hacking and programming in the Waizu era, which was a longstanding pastime of his as he looked for ways to outsmart Waizu. This kept him going a while as Waizu was always one, or more often several steps ahead of him. From there he got more into mechanics and engineering in yet another attempt to thwart Waizu, but again, Waizu was one step ahead of him and usually figured out what was going on before Shiido did any real damage. So then he gave up on everything and started reading. He didn't have access to a lot of information aboard the ship since the public network was blocked, otherwise he would have been doing a lot of online research. But he did what he could, gathered all the evidence he could in the hopes that one day when he escaped he'd have something to show. Once Waizu figured out what he was doing though, he confiscated the materials. From there, Shiido went back to casual inventing, mechanical tinkering and other harmless things. Sometimes he'd look at spaceship catalogs since that was something innocuous that wasn't blocked and dream of building his dream spaceship one day when he was free. Post-Waizu, his interests in mechanics, programming, and engineering persist, and hacking resurfaces as well. Later on he regains an interest in researching. So Shiido's hobbies have all been pretty much the same theme. Tech and machines and information.
Korosa - He took an interest in shardsmithing as a kid from watching his father work and the obsession never stopped. In addition to that are woodworking and metallurgy which are associated with it. He has some vague interest in spaceships too. Maybe a slight interest in tech, but neither were enough to really get him into either as a hobby. They're more tools to him. Other than that... I think coming up with ways to get revenge honestly became a hobby for him. If he wasn't working, he was doing that. And that's it pretty much. Later on he leans more into woodworking once he doesn't have access to Ocryte ore anymore. He tries to fill the gap with various materials. Shells and so forth. He takes a liking to sitting in the sun later on. So I think his hobbies for a long time were all connected to his work. Once he doesn't have that anymore he looks for a similar occupation. I guess the sun part is acquired later on due to circumstances, but it's connected to looking for something else I guess.
Sz'nami - I guess her primary hobby is swimming. With her occupation helping the village doctor, there's not a lot she does for herself. Going out on trips to the ocean is one thing she enjoys for its own sake, even if often she goes there for errands as well. She's been a caretaker in one form or another since she was young, first with Sh'zkai while their parents were away and later helping the village doctor help other people. She rarely really ever did things for herself. So if there's one thing all the horrible events of the invasion gave her, it was the ability to enjoy the ocean just for herself sometimes, even if she might also go there for errands. In one sense I guess you could say her hobby is other people. She does like to tease people sometimes. She likes having conversation. So it's kind of a form of a hobby too. She can make a bit of a game out of foraging sometimes too. She might like weaving things for fun, even if it's purpose is on the utilitarian side like a kind of net or basket. I think she does have an interest in home decor, making her place look nice with tapestries and making sure there's proper shade. So definitely some other hobbies there too. Swimming, foraging, weaving, home-making I guess. A lot of these hobbies have a utilitarian angle to them. So that's for sure a common thread. In one sense maybe she feels a bit like her hobbies need to be able to be turned into something useful on a dime, so it doesn't appear like she's just lazy. She might feel uncomfortable with doing things for their own sake, feeling like she should be doing something useful or helpful instead. I think this was especially made worse when she started working for Virola after the invasion. Her own needs were sidelined by everyone else's. On the one hand, it helped at the time to throw herself into helping other people and to forget about her own needs, but now that she's on the other side of that, she's come out of it with that mindset of everything she does needs to be useful. Wasting time could cost somebody's life after all.
Tsuname - impressing Sh'zkai was probably his first hobby. When they were young she'd tell him to go do something and he'd do it, even if it was sticking his hand in a pit of angry pincher crabs. As he got older he took to making bracelets for her to express his devotion. He liked looking for rocks and other pretty things to add to the bracelets as an expression of the things he liked about her. A lot of his collecting habits came from that. Exercising and performing feats of jumping out of the ocean and gliding and water manipulation was another thing he did specifically to build up skills to impress her. It's only after he returns home that he rediscovers the joy of swimming for its own sake. Same with the jumping/gliding feats, though he for sure found joy in collecting things as well. It's doing these things for only himself now that he has to relearn. So while the connecting thread before was doing things to impress Sh'zkai with his devotion or fitness or both, I think beyond all that is the pursuit of beauty, be it just making and collecting nice things or making himself feel nice with exercise and sunshine and performing beautiful feats of jumping out of the sea and gliding.
Ril'siiya - I think Ril'siiya has a similar problem as Sz'nami of needing her hobbies to serve a dual purpose. Though she can for sure enjoy jumping from tree to tree as a hobby, a lot of times this is just part of normal mobility for her, so it's not often she takes a moment to purposefully enjoy it. That said, she still does like hanging out in the trees in general. She's a big fan of that. She might like honing her tree manipulation abilities mainly for hunting purposes. Sometimes she might just like playing around with it, but I think she feels something of a low-key panic if she's messing around with it for no reason. She's wasting time and energy she could be using to do something productive after all. I think she also likes making little slingshots for hunting too. Any little tool that could help her out that way. She probably likes building traps too. With foraging she might occasionally tie things together and make little care packages for patients that come to the medicine house. Or she might keep them occasionally for fun. Just haven't had a patient to give this one to yet, you see. When she's not working she also likes making her treehouse homey. Helps her sleep at night if her living space is comfortable and pretty, so this is useful, you see. This pretty sack for holding fruit has a very utilitarian purpose! Being nosy like she is she might help other people decorate their living spaces as well, because this is clearly for their health. Not because she genuinely enjoys prettying up spaces or anything. She probably is the kind that would get too nosy with reorganizing and gets thrown out. I think she genuinely does like organizing things, even if her tastes in doing so are sometimes... eclectic. She does this with special clothing for events too. Most of the time she will not bother you for your fashion choices, but she has opinions if you are attending something important like that. She gets that trait from her mother I think. ...So yeah to sum up, many of her hobbies are things included in her daily life that she just happens to have a little fun with. Or they might sometimes extend into other people's business and have a lot to do with organizing, keeping things tidy, or making things look nice. It's either having a little fun on her "grocery run" or reorganizing someone's house and critiquing what they chose to wear to their own wedding. Bothering people is for sure a hobby of hers too. She likes to talk. And touch people.

Remekeltek a dunaszerdahelyi birkózók a serdülők kötöttfogású országos bajnokságán
Csörgő Tamás szlovák bajnok a serdülők között és csapatversenyben első hely!
Szombaton Somorján került megrendezésre a serdülők kötöttfogású országos bajnoksága, amelyre 19 klub versenyzői neveztek be.
Tamás ezzel a győzelmével megszerezte élete második bajnoki címét.

Man I forgot I queued this. Okay here goes.
Uhh since you didn't list any OCs these are for maybe I'll just go around the table with the Main Aliens cast again for some variety.
Suddenly I'm getting deja vu for this first question... Did I answer this once before? Hm. Welp, I'll answer it again, I think it's been long enough anyway.
1. What kind of person is your OC in a crisis? Are they calm and collected? Do they panic? Or are they chronically the cause?
Naru - panic, or might be the cause
Shiido - probably the one giving orders. I wouldn't necessarily say he's calm. He's the one trying to get everyone out of the crisis. Unless it's some crisis that can't be solved with a couple of quick commands and isn't imminently life-threatening. That and it's out of his depth, and he might just sigh and sit in a corner and wait for it to be over. I guess from an outside perspective he seems like the levelheaded one. He is the one with enough wherewithal to act instead of lose his head. And there's probably moments in the crisis where he's calm if things are going according to plan.
Korosa - it really depends. He can either be even calmer than Shiido in a crisis, or one thing can turn his attention off the problem at hand and he'll start blaming someone else for it. I think he does worse alone in a crisis, though it depends what it is. If it's a crisis that stretches on too long, that's plenty of time for his paranoia to spiral. Short crises he's much calmer in, though he might still get a little paranoia as an aftereffect. He may also cause a crisis now and then.
Sz'nami - Perhaps not always completely calm and collected, especially if she's out of her depth. There are a number of crises in which she would be calm and collected though, and even out of her depth she might still be trying to bounce ideas around to help, even if she's uncertain. I think long crises though might stretch her. Maybe not to the point of panic, but grief, fear, anger—all possibilities.
Ril'siiya is for sure the one making things worse. She's the one running around panickedly, thinking she's trying to help, but she's probably just getting in everyone's way. If it's escapable and out of her depth, she might be the one running to find help. If it is something she knows how to deal with, she might be the one butting into the situation so she can deal with it, probably loudly, and might rapidly tell people to find or get things for her (mostly to keep them busy and out of her way) which might waste time because who can understand her rapid speech and thick accent. XD
Tsuname - chronically the cause. If he's in someone else's crisis with a group of people, he might just stand there and laugh, then find a spot to sit and hold his face, wait for it to be over and hope no one talks to him while he goes insane.
3. What is your OC's financial status? Are they just scraping by, making enough to live comfortably, or wealthy? Has there ever been a drastic change in their status? If so, what happened?
Naru - with her story still under construction, it's hard to say how the dust will settle, but maybe I can trace her status through the years I do know about.
Childhood - Though her mom came from a wealthy family, she separated herself from them in order to have more freedom and chose a more middle class life, relying mostly on her husband's income to make ends meet. So Naru got her start living fairly comfortably in early childhood.
Childhood into adolescence - Things do not particularly change financially in the Waizu arc. Though as the years go by she does get to enjoy more things. Her own mini spaceship being one of them.
Adulthood - this is where things get really hazy, since this is the arc that's under the most construction. Originally, she survived off Waizu's remaining wealth until she had to scrape by. Now with the development that's happened post-Waizu, she doesn't really get the chance to tap into that wealth hardly at all. She ends up in a considerably worse financial condition as a prisoner aboard the ship of the scientific order Waizu was part of, upon whom the responsibility for Naru and Shiido fell. But through some mishaps with Nell, she ends up in a much better financial position after that, living in one of Nell's private villas with her adopted guard dad until something happens and she escapes. Still a little unclear on how that happens and sets us up for the Main Aliens plot. Though all of this is subject to change with my plans for yet another revision to the adult arc, but that's still on the horizon while I work on rewriting Naru's childhood.
Shiido - Since Naru's story being under construction affects his just as much, I'll similarly trace his financial status through the years.
Early childhood - When Shiido was young, his family was on the up and up. His dad was an inventor who had just struck it big with some clients in the big city, so despite living in a tribal village, Shiido and his family enjoyed considerably more technology than the average family there, though I'm sure as an inventor his dad likely spread what conveniences he could and raised the tech level of the village overall as a result, but his family was likely still in the lead. So Shiido's family had it pretty good with a sort of blended lifestyle of traditional hunting and gathering aided with technology and other home conveniences.
Post-Shiidia - But one bright day, all that shatters. His mom's concerns about the kind of people his father works with come true, and one thing leads to another as it's revealed the end clients were space pirates and they don't play fair. Shiido's mom cuts out of there with him, but for how advanced his family is, they aren't spaceship-advanced, so it's not long before they're brought aboard one of the space pirates' ships and eventually separated. From there, Shiido's status drops to that of a slave, though his master is probably decently wealthy. But thankfully, his slavery doesn't last too long. Waizu buys him, and he's able to enjoy a higher standard of living than he ever has before.
Post-Waizu - Pretty much the same as Naru's except the ending. Originally planned he'd scrape by after they used up Waizu's wealth, now it's that he's prisoner aboard the Order's ship, but from there he ends up at a safehouse after the thing with Nell goes down and he's adopted by a grandma who lives there, and thus given a chance to heal. He enjoys a lower middle class lifestyle while there, with the granny living off her husband's and her own paycheck for running the safehouses. She chooses to live frugally, only tapping into her savings when necessary, so they both live a fairly simple life there. After a while he leaves somehow. I was thinking maybe he lands a police type of job and that's how he meets up again with the escaped Naru later on? I think he'd make fairly good money with that job. Maybe even enough to buy a big ship of his own? Originally he was supposed to remodel Waizu's ship, but now I don't know if he just ends up buying a similar model down the road or what. Anyways, in that era, he probably lives frugally while he's just starting out, and slowly levels up to more upper middle class as he gets the means for it. His finances probably take a big hit post-Naru-refinding and he levels out to middle-middle class again, maybe even low at some points.
Korosa - He probably lives like, on the poverty line. He's supplied for by the platoon, but on his own there would definitely be times he'd go hungry.
As for drastic changes, his family was probably still decently poor even before the invasion went down. Not as poor as he is now, but for sure lower class to poor. There were definitely times they had to scrape by or borrow from relatives, usually his mom's side since she came from a more affluent background.
Post-invasion, him and his brother are taken care of on government funding, so they don't have to fend for themselves even after all that. After being put in a platoon, though they're expected to work and earn for themselves, there still are basic needs the platoon takes care of, so while there's definitely a financial dip post-boarding-school, neither of them starve.
Post-story-events he gets to be a little less than poor, ironically doing better financially than his platoon days in some ways despite not having access to spaceships and other technology anymore.
Sz'nami - Her family's connection to the island's head family definitely gave them a lot of benefits while she and her sister were growing up. Things improved even more for a short time after she married, but once the news of her barrenness came out, Tsunne had to work harder to support the both of them after his mother pushed them both away. Even after the invasion, Sz'nami got to enjoy some benefits still from her connection to the head family, and that plus her income working for Virola meant she managed to maintain a decent standard of living throughout the years, though each era had their rough spots. Probably the most drastic change was the invasion, since that was when she started earning on her own.
Tsuname - He got his start as the son of the island's head family, so financially he was among the top.
Drastic change was of course after the invasion. He lost his freedom, and even after returning to Gaede, he couldn't fully reclaim his political status due to mental instability, though his family status still garnered him some respect. His new mentor Gangarame was good friends with his father, and from that connection he's considered to have a high status, though apart from that he'd probably be more middle or lower class. Anyway, Tsuname gets to be cared for with decent means and a remainder of a connection to the ruling class via his bloodline, so he still gets to maintain a somewhat high status because of that, and doesn't have to worry about fending entirely for himself in this trying time.
Ril'siiya - her family was also decently affluent, being in good graces with the head family via her mother's social connections. Post-invasion this changes drastically as Ril'siiya now has to earn for herself working for her grandmother, and she lives a much lower class lifestyle, especially in the beginning. Her connection to Sz'nami as well as steady work gradually does bring her up towards the middle class eventually though.
5. Does your OC have a signature weapon and/or attack? How long did they train to master it?
Naru/Shiido: Laser gun.
Waizu probably trained them both with firearms, but Shiido got far more inventive, building several of his own from scratch once he figured out the schematics. Waizu probably had to make them harder to modify from then on so Shiido couldn't turn them against him.
Time to master would probably be on par or easier than standard firearm training. The main difference is motivation. Shiido was far more motivated and trained on his own plenty to get good accuracy, though it might vary depending on the one he's using and the desired effect. Naru, while trained, didn't really deem the information that important so she probably had to be retrained a few times, and still maybe only has like 50% accuracy. Her hands tend to shake.
Korosa - Of course, the Ocryte throwing shard. Being an old weapon type steeped in tradition, there's definitely a degree of mastery that's needed to use shards proficiently. Korosa's put a lot of his life into mastering long range throws, so he's gotten pretty good at it. Being a shardsmith as well, he can craft them more specifically to favor his types of throws. Shard weapons can also be created for short range, so the real key is not getting them mixed up in a moment of panic.
Sz'nami - though she's put a lot of her life into water manipulation, she hasn't spent an inordinate amount of time weaponizing it. She does know how, but it's much more for self-defense purposes than any one signature offense move. If she had to choose something it'd probably be more like a moving water barrier to deflect attacks.
Tsuname - he learned some water manipulation moves for offense growing up. The rest was his training under Boss, in which case his signature move would probably be the killing blow. His attack pattern is generally to disarm the opponent and then end them as quickly as possible, usually by snapping their neck. He underwent brainwashing for months to have this and other attack patterns drilled into him, so now unfortunately his brain will just switch to attack mode over the most arbitrary triggers, usually involving touch but sometimes it's someone's stance or just being surprised. It's a struggle to untrain him.
Ril'siiya - Her signature attack is to fall from a height on top of someone. She's usually pretty resilient so she can take the fall. Her opponent on the other hand... They might be in for a surprise. She's probably been doing this since she was very young.
