Frühjahr 2022
Energiesparsame Sportplatzleuchten sind kormoranunfreundlich
Um ein Fußballfeld stehen an den Ecken und Seiten Leuchten, die von den Kormoranen sehr gerne zum Flügeltrocknen genutzt werden. Dort oben werden sie nicht von Fahrzeugen, Hunden oder Leuten gestört und können ihre Flügel zum Trocknen ausbreiten. Meistens sind alle vier Leuchten, an denen ich vorbeispaziere, von Kormoranen besetzt. Im Frühjahr 2022 werden die Leuchten allerdings durch LED-Leuchten ersetzt. Deren Oberseite ist segmentiert und bietet den Kormoranfüßen keinen guten Halt. Die Vögel müssen zum Trocknen auf andere, stromfressende Leuchten umziehen. Seit September wurden im Kanton Jura rund vierzig Kormorane getötet
Bis Ende Februar findet im Kanton Jura eine Jagd zur Regulierung des Kormorans statt.
Seit September wurden bereits rund vierzig Exemplare auch durch Hobby-Jäger getötet. Dieser heimische Vogel, der vorwiegend im Bezirk Pruntrut vorkommt, jagt in dunklem Wasser, was bestimmten Fischen schaden soll. Derzeit nisten keine Kormorane in der Region, schreibt lqj.ch.
