PIC #1: K2-SO concept art, Version 1 -- "This was the very first concept done for K2S0. I was prompted to create an all black C-3PO for the film in it's beginning concept stages. This was my attempt to get it right."

PIC #2: "I'd painted several images of aliens in their natural habitats for the film. Here's one of them. Gareth Edwards was really pushing for humanistic qualities and relationships between the aliens in the film. It was both a fun and great idea to explore."

A Hong Kong court has found nine leaders of Hong Kong’s 2014 “Umbrella Movement” pro- democracy protests guilty on charges of incitement and conspiracy for their role in leading the mass protest.

Moss Adams Admits 21 New Partners

When it comes to new partner promotions, Going Concern has never given much love to Moss Adams. But that ends today!

Earlier this month, the top 15 firm, based in Seattle, gave 21 men and women keys to the partnership. This year’s class is rather large by Moss Adams standards:

2018: 21

2017: 14

2016: 16

2015: 11

2014: 10

Of the 21 new partners, six (29%) are women. Moss Adams is consistently on Accounting MOVE Project’s list of the “Best Public Accounting Firms for Women.” In its 2018 list, Accounting MOVE Project, which focuses on the advancement of women in public accounting, said this about Moss Adams:

Detecting and resolving small barriers to women’s advancement adds up to accelerated retention and promotions, and delivers on this firm’s “long game” vision for advancing women internally and in its community.

The 2017 report mentioned that Moss Adams has a goal of women comprising 30% of its partners and principals by 2022.

Six years ago, 22% of the firm’s top leaders were women; now, that figure is 26%.

Well, I took a look at the partners and principals listed on Moss Adams’ website, and of the 334 I counted, 84 are women (25%), so the firm still has a little ways to go to reach that goal.

Moss Adams also made Working Mother’s 100 Best Companies list for 2018.
