A simple desire to edit a cape onto Toffee resulted in the birth of a Civil War AU I’m calling Moon vs the Forces of Mayhem

In this AU, the day the peace treaty was supposed to be signed, Mina and the Magic High Commission betrayed Queen Comet and crystalized her. During the uproar that followed, Mina accidentally let slip the fact that Festivia was born a commoner, leading to the Mewman kingdoms to realize that anyone could use magic and all start fighting for the wand- including Mina herself, backed by the MHC and an army of monster hating supporters, and Miss Heinous of St. Olga’s who turned her robot staff into an army when she realized that she was the rightful heir to the Butterfly Kingdom.

Meanwhile, after her mother was crystalized, Moon was taken in by Archduke Batwin and the monsters. Wanting to fulfill her mother’s dream of making peace with them, Moon allied herself with the monsters, and changed her name to “Moon Dragonfly” in an attempt to appease Heinous, who takes back her birth name of Meteora. They each realize that the other is a victim and their true enemy is the Commission who deceived them both, but there’s still a lot of bad blood between them and they currently have a tentative truce.

Toffee was going to kill Comet the day of the signing, but was shocked by the betrayal of the Commission and Mina. He quickly decided that Moon’s family was not the problem, but rather the Commission and befriended Moon when the Archduke took her in. After a few years, Moon decided that Batwin no longer had the spine to lead, killed him, and promoted Toffee to the position of “Grand General” and took him as her lover.

Meanwhile, River Johansen, a former suitor of hers, was pressured by his family to try to claim the Magic Wand for the Barbarian Clans. He tried to explain to her that he was only doing what his family demanded, but Moon refused to listen and later captured his family and fed half of them to her monsters. River has sworn vengeance and is allied with his childhood friend King Ponyhead.

Allegiances

Moon is allied with most Monster clans, but her closet is Septarsis. The Underworld is neutral, but Moon has been actively trying to gain their favor.

The Johansens and the Ponyheads have an alliance.

The Spiderbite Kingdom, the Waterfolk Kingdom and the Avarius family are allies.

Meteora has her robot army and the allegiance of the Sizeshifters that are her kin. She frequently enlists Rasticore as her bodyguard or to do an assassination for her, but he’s actually on Toffee’s payroll keeping an eye on her and her movements to report back.

It occurred to me that each thing Star found in the wand that belonged was something that also belonged to a loved one. After all, Star found a hoodie that belonged to her best friend and crush, Marco Diaz, found Lil’ Chauncey who belonged to her mother, Queen Moon and found a chair that belonged to her father, King River. But the thing that Star found that didn’t belong was Toffee’s finger which belonged to her enemy, Toffee.

Episode thoughts, part III

Since I’ve set a precedent at this point, here’s week three.

As much as I don’t care for these two, seeing them excited about the dumb junk they were doing was kind of cute.

Though on a more serious note, the whole takeaway from this part (Moon’s lesson) was pretty lackluster. Realizing she needs to help people is something she should have already known (River too for that matter but I’ve learned not to expect things from him). I mean, Moon was raised by the only Queen Mewni’s had in like 500+ years that was actually an all around good person in every conceivable way, yet Moon herself is still kind of a terrible person. I know they want to show character development and all that, but that should have come from accepting monsters like HER MOTHER WANTED. Poor Comet.

Did they lobotomize my man monkey? Also, I still find it weird that Foolduke’s just never around when he is.

“You’re guitar is made of dead people.”

“It’s cool!”

Damn straight Eclipsa, damn straight.

That’s cute AF.

Kelly broke that day. The cramp line that followed kind of surprised me, I think maybe a headache line would have worked better and still had the sex joke, but whatever.

“You can come to my house and cook.”

And boy did they get up to some cooking.

Can this guy come back? I need more fire-breathing cat monsters in my life.

At least this show gave us one ship everyone can agree on.

New Star vs. Clip!!!

This time is for the episode "Escape from the Pie Folk" and man, if I didn't hate the Mewmans before, I seriously do now.

But really, that clip was pretty intense, maybe because of this guy:

Look at him, his face screams classic villain and con man, which in fact, he is, according to this information:

For starters, the music of his introduction is epic period. It got me hyped and intrigued at what happens next

His voice is exactly what you expect from someone with high autority and mocking others at the same time.

For some reason he reminds me of a Chef version of Captain Hook (not only for the hook, but by the way he treats his prisioners)

But the cherry of the pie (pun intented) is that...

*Ahem*

He plans to make pies with Star, Marco and River

And I'm sure it's not what Star believes. At least that's what the background music and the personality of the Pie Folk made me believe.

I mean, I can totally see them making pies with parts of monsters. But Mewmans?

Also the animation is really amazing.

So, my conclusion? You did it again Disney, you made me be more hyped than before. I can't wait for Sunday.

And I really hope the Pie King isn't Moon's father. But if he is... expect a lot of Moonfee shippers writing stories about this con man wanting to make Toffee-flavoured pies.
