Eurovision Fact #274:
Tumblr media
While Ireland was once a powerhouse at Eurovision, winning more times than any other nation in the competition's history, the nation has not been so successful in Junior Eurovision. Ireland has participated in Junior Eurovision a total of seven times, but never managed to snag first place.

Last week's Junior Eurovision was quite the success.
A great night for Lissandro, who won.
Tumblr media
A magnificent showing for Sophie Lennon, bringing pride to TG4 and the Gaeltacht.
Tumblr media
Freya Skye topped the viewer vote. She was welcomed like a conquering hero on Blue Peter, led the singing like a pro.
Tumblr media
The home crowd welcomed Rosa Linn, their own conquering hero.

All these, and more, in what is always my favourite Week of the year.

One Last Song For Nice!
As Thursday marked one more month until 16 acts partake in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we had only one more act that was yet to be revealed for the contest.
Today, however? Ireland laid our curiosities to rest with the release of their song. They had announced Jessica McKean would be performing "Aisling" in less than a month. Of course, we're going to hear it and see what we think.
I have it playing on another tab, so let's hope it works! I've seen in videos on Instagram that Sophia Lennon was involved (which we all know from her entry "Solas" from last year). It's very ethereal, and it is giving me chills. That key change after the bridge is going to be amazing (also hi, Sophia!).
So, I'm not entirely sure if Sophia will be joining Jessica on stage in Nice, but it was a nice touch; especially since her entry was rather popular last year and likely would have gotten a better result if she wasn't sick.
So, that does it. We have all 16 songs that will go head to head in Nice come next month! I'll have my ranking (like an actual ranking) in the coming weeks. It could be in a week from now, or just before the contest. It depends on how much schoolwork I have. But rest assured, you will have my ranking before the 26th!
Good luck, Jessica, and we look forward to seeing your performance in Nice!

Junior Eurovision 2023 detailed opinions before the show. Part 4 (final)
After three parts, we're finally here! The final part of my tier-ranked opinions of the Junior Eurovision 2023 songs before the big day at Sunday, November 26th! 12 songs were already covered, from the decent (in a good way) to the almost winner-alerts, with some personal wildcards in the middle. Now we are left with 4 of the 16 songs, these ones being the top of the top of my personal favorites! And days before the main show!
The opinions on these songs will be longer than the others, but it's just I have a lot to say about them! :D
Let's show the tier-chart reference one last time, shall we?
Tumblr media
Tier 1: "Very nice of them to invite Junior Eurovision to their concert"
🇮🇪 Jessica McKean (featuring legend herself Sophie Lennon) "Aisling"
Ireland is one of those countries that somehow fail to get a good spot (or even a Grand Final spot itself) in adult Eurovision, something strange knowing they won 7 times before the 2000's (and now Sweden ties them); but when they play in the Junior version, they get better placings (if not Top 5) compared to their adult counterparts (Poland and Georgia are another examples, with the first either giving decent masterpieces or the worse things to ever touch adult Eurovision soil for their JESC counterparts to surpass, and the latter with more undeserved low places/NQs than the previous one *cough, cough, Iru Khechanovi* and having their JESC counterparts to avenge them). And recently, it looks like their JESC broadcaster had been making a better job with a trio of Celtic songs than their ESC broadcaster's elections.
After the marvelous and eye-catching song that was Sophie Lennon's "Solas" in Yerevan that got a 4th place behind Mariam, Nare and Lissandro; no wonder the Irish delegation wanted to make a good election of their next singer (and ofc, the song) to reach victory. And boy, they kept their mood with this year's song
Tumblr media
Why did this new Celtic-Irish song went above Ohne Worte, you ask? Well, first, the melody (once again) it's something that makes its job and lets Jessica's voice get along with it with the mesmerizing Irish lyrics, co-written by Sophie herself alongside other composers who made the 2019 and 2022 JESC Irish entries. While slower than Solas, it still gives the vibe of a magical and mystical song that really tells "it's from Ireland" more than the adult ESC entries.
When I watched the song reveal with the videoclip from TG4 (before the JESC YT channel XD), it was something beautiful. The eerie yet pretty castle, the landscapes, Jessica's princess vibes....And just of nowhere, when I thought I had seen everything, the final verses come in and THEN THERE IS SOPHIE IN THE CASTLE! Yes, you heard me, Sophie fricking Lennon in the videoclip, and singing with her partner the ending! Not only she wrote the lyrics (and invited the Wild Youth fellas to her concert during the Eire finale XD), but also OFFICIALLY joins Jessica in the entry, both studio and LIVE! As one of Sophie's fans, this was something I NEVER EXPECTED IN THE SONG. One thing is lyrics writing, but THIS IS TAKING THEIR LEGACY TO ANOTHER LEVEL! :D ;w;
For two legends together, the staging and live harmony is REALLY THE KEY for Ireland to get the victory they almost got in Yerevan! And knowing they sing 4th after Kvitka, I REALLY EXPECT them to blow the stage and at least have ALL THE LUCK I would wish for them! As the officially declared "ending of the Celtic JESC trilogy of 2019, 2022 and 2023" by the Irish delegations, I hope they end this cycle with honor, and at least brings a new start for Ireland in Junior Eurovision (and hopefully the senior one, because Sweden will kick them from their winner pedestal more sooner than expected if they don't step up. Seriously)
🇪🇸 Sandra Valero "Loviu"
As a fellow Hispanic, I ALWAYS expect the best from Spain in both contests (a language bias, since here in LatinAmerica we don't have Eurovision yet, junior or senior T-T). And while most of them are, well, not my style, there are some I hold dear in my heart: El Chiki Chiki, Amanecer, SloMo (and how not to love her? Chanel IDOLA!) and Eaea (still singing it, even if being another Big 5 robbery that hurted me a lot in Liverpool, and the worst of all with ONLY 5 TELEVOTE POINTS. Darn on the card system, sabotaging my credit payment in the website voting!) for the adult songs; and Antes Muerta Que Sencilla (campeona la María Isabel), Marte, Pa'lante and Señorita (a baby king following Chanel's Latino vibes ;W;) for the Junior!
And this year they didn't dissapoint again (even with HoD changes from RTVE)! They brought another queen to the JESC list, Sandra Valero, with her upbeat song "Loviu"
Tumblr media
For all the expectatives I imagined for the Junior Eurovision Spanish song, this one blew me! So happy, so Junior-flavored (without being too sugar-coated), so catchy even for those who don't speak Spanish, so moving (and needed with the ballad parade)! I can say a lot of things of this song, but there is character limit in the posts, so I'll stop now. And Sandra giving it the nostalgic childhood vibes in her acting and voice! The imagination she conveys, her kindness and her energy...The second time I felt a Junior song very close to my native language (Señorita did it first).
I will threatPLEAD France TV (host broadcaster) to not chicken out with Sandra's staging. The swing of the videoclip MUST BE THERE, even if from a low height for security measures, because it's not like dealing with Loreen's 1.8 kg panini press, Blas Cantó's moon or Brunette's LED platform, it's UN JODIDO PINCHE COLUMPIO (and they previously put a ring-swing for Tanya's song in Paris 2021, so no excuses). The train and the clouds can be optional and they can innovate, but for everyone's sake don't ruin Spain's chance to win (more than they could already have since they perform FIRST) or I will burn France/j. And for those Hispanic fellas from here, remember to vote for Sandra! :D
🇳🇱 Sep & Jasmijin "Holding On To You"
As Netherlands was one of the first countries to begin their pre-selections for their JESC 2023 song, I played the Junior Songfestival 2023 song-snippet video as soon as Fan Del Junior Eurovision Song Contest streamed it in YouTube. And of the four songs, I got two favorites: one of them being Duron's "Magic" with a nice and catchy rhythm that would be fit in the Junior essence (even if they massacred his song at the live performance for the JSF Final T-T, like it happened to Kazakhstan's "Jer-Ana" in 2022). But alongside him, there was ONE song that spoke for me, in high volume and no doubts, "we are THE song for Nice", and managed to keep into the first place of my list for a VERY LONG TIME (before the next song occupied their throne)
Tumblr media
This is, with no discussions, the most EDM and dance-inciting song I've ever heard and expected its victory before the great show in a Junior contest, let alone a Dutch JESC song after years of calm and chill songs such as Luna's "La Festa" (her 7th place by performing first is the sole reason I hope Sandra slays the stage this year to not suffer the same fate), Ayana's "Mata Sugu Aō Ne" (the robbery of 2021, a REAL robbery!) or even Ralf Mackenbach's "Click Clack" (both a JESC winner and now a plasma physicist...THE FUTURE THIS LAD GOT O-O).
Sep and Jasmijin's vocals are no doubt, harmony itself displayed in this AMAZING entry. And not only in the studio version, but also live in the Finals of Junior SongFestival itself! The lyrics telling a story of a friendship that could become something else between two souls, in a child-friendly yet effective and addictive! And the JSF staging, being a prototype of the Grand Finale version to see soon, it's so connected to the entry itself, and both not only swept the national jury and online voting with 12 points each, but also spoke "winner" from miles.
For the staging, as the JSF version was related enough with the song, it needs some serious changes if they want to elevate it to Nice (and to check what to do with the dancers since the 6-people-max rule of staging counts in Junior Eurovision too). Otherwise, and with an advantage of being the final song to perform this Sunday, I can see them winning (if there are no obstacles) and I will be happy for them (well, any of the Tier 1 and 2 songs, honestly, I love them). (well, at least they can make Dutch Eurovision champion Duncan Laurence feel better after his own ESC 2023 duo flopped at their own song since the pre-parties XDXD)
🇦🇲 Yan Girls "Do It My Way"
We reached the last song of the list!
Let's start with the country itself, Armenia. They are recently getting better in the adult Eurovision (Snap, Future Lover) and more than they were of perfect in the Junior edition: One winner being Vladimir Arzumanyan in 2010 with "Mama", another in 2021 being Malena with the JESC's Euphoria "Qami Qami" (alongside her 2020 song "Why" she couldn't sing in JESC 2020 due to conflicts happening in Armenia more than the pandemic, and the song itself not speaking other things than those ;w; T-T), and a runner-up of Nare's "Dance!" in 2022 (and the entire country at her side during the voting before Lissandro surprisingly won). And of course they couldn't lower their guards for this year again in France!
After a long run of mostly ballads revealed in the song list, and after my recovery of Poland's videoclip, this song is what I never thought I would need to listen in the Junior playlist and yet, by leagues, became my Top 1 election to win the contest at first listen!
Tumblr media
From all the genres I thought Armenia would bring it on for Nice (anything but more ballads, knowing their Eurovision competitive spirit), K-Pop was definitely not in my list! And yet, even if not being a fan of the genre itself, "Do It My Way" made me head-bang and tap my feet while I heard it for the first time! The five girls' voices really give the feelings of this special song, from the calm beginning to the dance-breaking choruses, combining Armenian with English in the song so perfectly with their dance moves and the entire videoclip that it feels like an authentic K-Pop song that famous groups could create!
Even if like most cases in this list, I can't understand most of the lyrics without a translation (since it's mostly Armenian by EBU 70%-national-language rule to avoid English overusing like it happens in the adult Eurovision), the energies they deliver make it a good song. And it really speaks "being authentic to one self, to break the rules and do anything you want!" not only by the English chorus, but also the voice styles!
I know it will a bit more difficult for the Yan Girls to mix their dance moves with perfect live singing during the grand day unlike a studio video (same for the props and lights displayed in the clip), but I can tell by their videos (before the Opening Ceremony, not the rehearsals, I'm not fond of rehearsals as they're spoilers for me) they are ready to get a Top scoring, and maybe even repeating the "Armenia wins in France, and France wins in Armenia" cycle of victories we had since 2021!
Yes, I know it's sort of a polemic declaration since most of the ESC fandom is not too eager for them (or France itself) to win again with so many options and newcomers, but still, I won't be mad imo if they get a third trophy and tie Georgia in the winner list!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
And with this, I officially declare this JESC 2023 tier-ranking detailed opinion compilation finished! All of the 16 songs covered and reviewed!
If I have to talk about the contest itself, I got some opinions:
I'm a bit bummed there's no rock songs in this edition like in 2022 (Anos 70) or 2021 (Specchio) and others in previous years. And no, "Un Mondo Giusto"'s rock-chord finale doesn't count. It has to be a song of those vibes from beginning to end. But well, K-Pop covered that void in the list :D!
I'm surprised there's not a single boy solist in this edition. It's the "Cure Wing among the other Cures" situation in this edition, because there are three boys, yes, but in groups (Georgia, Oto and Nikoloz) or duets (Sep); and most of the singers are girls! XD
At least the running order is a bit decent this time. Germany is not first to begin (finally!), Spain is not a bad song to open the show (and we have televote on our side), and Netherlands can end the evening so fine
If the rumours of La Zarra not being a guest interval (like Barbara Pravi in 2021, Rosa Linn in 2022) are true, I will be sad, but yet comprehensive (since they say it was because she wants to rest from Eurovision after the kerfuffle, and the middle finger cancelled her in France, and so on...). But at least I hope the guests are some good singers!
And that's finally all! Hope you enjoyed this compilation! See ya next time! :D

toxic
Tumblr media
liam gallagher x singer!fem!reader
Summary : When she became a singer, the last thing y/n expect to become involved in a media plot with a constantly mood-swinging, possessive mancunian.
Warning : manipulative and toxic relationship, Liam being an ass, not proof read
1995
Beads of sweat dripped down her forehead as she left the glowing stage. Y/n needed to quickly change back into her presenting outfit whilst Mary introduced the next act of the final. Her y/h/c locks where fixed as she changed out of the tight, sparkling unitard and into the y/f/c powersuit. A white bralette graced her torso whilst the loose blazer floated around. She spritzed perfume over herself and rushed out in the white reeboks, through the crowds and to her older co-presenter.
She never saw herself presenting the eurovision song contest, nevermind presenting it at only nineteen. She had won the junior contest three years ago and become very popular throughout Ireland, her home country, and the rest of the UK.
The contest was a good distraction for her, with everything going on in her personal life at the moment.
Thumps sounded against the wooden door or y/n's hotel room. She'd been rushed back into London by management as soon as she left the hall, appaeently they'd booked her press for the next morning by accident and couldn't drop out short notice. This meant she had only just managed three hours before a stranger was waking her up.
"What ?!"
She was pushed back into the room after answering the door, her body being pratically thrown onto the double bed whilst the knocker locking the door behind him.
"What the fuck d'ya think your playing at."
Liam's ice blue eyes had shaded themselves a few shades darker than usual. Subquencly, a frightful look fell over y/n's features, her at first angered voice becoming weak.
"What are yer doing here ?"
He gave a harsh laugh, obviously trying to calm himself down.
"Well me fuckin' girlfriend's out on fuckin' national tele chattin' up some fuckin' Belgium fella."
"I'm not yer girlfriend Liam."
"Ay well they all think the opposite so i've had to come to get you out of your mess."
Half way through his sentence he gestured to the covered window which showed the front of the hotel building. Y/n gathered herself off of the bed and peeked through the dark red curtains. As she flicked open a bit of the material, her eyes caught sight of the herd of photographers and reporters outside the french doors.
Her mouth parted, quickly covering the window fully again and turning back round to find Liam layed on her bed. He seamed to have lowered his raging temper and was picking at his fingers, which where rested on his stomach.
A few months ago, when Blur took everyone's attention at the Brits, her's and Oasis' managments made a deal with each other in order to gain the Britpop spotlight. Y/n faked her relationship with the youngest Gallagher. No-one knew it was a haux except management, the two participating parties and Noel. It started off nothing much; dinner dates, walk home holding hands etc., but they quickly made her turn the tables to something she was uncomfortable with. 'You're going to go with Liam to that club and when you leave together, you make sure the cameras see things getting hot and heavy' She did it, or she lost her job.
Still, she was the peacemaker of their 'relationship.' The angel, the princess, whatever you want to call it. She stopped Liam from getting himself killed, or from killing other people. Liam got in a fight, y/n's job to stop it. Noel and Liam arguing, y/n's job to make the press see her calm Liam down.
"Li, I promise I wasn't flirting. I was just talking to him, the cameras must've got the wrong idea."
She sat herself on the edge bed, moving to hold the hand he was digging his nails into. She had been flirting. She so had been flirting. Anyways, Liam gets to do whatever but she can't even flirt with a guy for 5 minutes ?
He looked up at her with emotionless, dulled eyes. His anger had vanished alright, now he was just in his strop season.
Before Liam could get words out of his opened mouth, another knock sounded through the room, followed by continuous banging. Y/n rolled her eyes, getting off of the sheets and leaving Liam's hand in her spot.
When she opened the door a 5'7 version of Liam strode in past her.
"Oh come in, you're no bother 't all."
He ignore her and walked over to his younger brother who had sat himself up and was using his elbows to hold his posture.
"Management want you here with her tonight, something about reputation. "
He send a look to y/n who was clinging to the dressing gown she had just put on. He swang his arms as he moved to leave the room.
"Practice is canceled tomorrow by the way."
The light wood slammed shut, making y/n just involentarily.
"Long visit."
"Well you heard 'im Angel,"
Liam gave her a smirk, getting comfortable on the right side of the double bed.
"We have a reputation to maintain."
She glared at him. A feeling of deep regret pulsed through her veins when Liam started making his way out of the sheets and over to her, before she knew it she was hitting the wall which seperated the room and the bathroom. A whimper left her mouth as her lip shaked.
"Angel, don't fuckin' glare at me."
His tone turned dark whilst y/n turned her head away from his stare,. She was surprised when she felt his grip loosen on her wrists and heard footsteps making their way away from her, the sound of sheet ruffleing following them.
"Bed, now ! You have an interview in the morning don't cha."
His voice turned 'sweet' again, gesturing for her to make her way to her designated side of the bed.
Her body stiffened when she felt Liam's arm rest over her waist, the duvet seperating their skin.
"You're mine right ? Real or fake, you're mine ?"
She let out a weak hum at his softening question.
Y/n flitched as a hand grabbed a hold of her ass.
"That interview were really cute Angel. You gotta wear that top more of'en."
She felt his breath dancing down her neck, she tryed to loosen her body but everything was tensed up. She knew why he liked the top from her interview that morning on tele, it was because it was lowcut and Man City blue, plus it had a bit of lace accenting the short sleeves.
" 'course babe."
People where watching.
Show time.
She swung her hips round to face Liam's smiling up at him with her y/e/c greeting blue.
"Anyt'ing f'you."
She threw her arms over his shoulders, leaving them to hang like a dead man. Liam's lips grew a grin as he pressed their mouths together, y/n letting out a quiet squeak at the sudden action.
When they broke apart, y/n tryed to keep her smile, the forced smile she wore whenever she was out with him. She pushed up on her tip-toes and pecked his lips again, then his cheek.
"Wanna go ? 'm tired."
Out of the corner of her eye should could see a few groups of people staring, usual event when you're y/n y/l/n or Liam Gallagher.
"We've only been 'ere two hours."
Liam's fingers played with y/n's low-cut jean's belt loops, giving her an occation kiss down her neck or on her lips.
" 'm tired though."
"Yer such a pest sometimes y/n."
He rolled his eyes, moving the girl off of the bar she was leant agaist. Liam used his hold on her belt loops to drag her over to where the rest of Oasis where situated, in a secluded, dark blue light booth. He slouched in the opening seat in the circular chair, pulling the nineteen year old to sit on his knee. Only Noel knew about the relationship's actual status, the rest where oblivious to any discomfort in y/n's body language.
"Liam, I really am tired. I want to go home."
She whispered into his ear but he stayed involved in his other conversation with bonehead.
"Liam ."
She tugged slightly on his top causing his head to turn to her.
"Angel,"
He placed a hand on her jaw and pulled her face closer to his, forcing her to kiss him before pulling back and whispering in her ear with an annoyed tone.
"Stop acting like a child."
Y/n felt a shock of adrenelin rush through her. A shock of rebellion.
She pushed off of the table and went to strut away from the group, back home.
Before she'd even stood up, she found herself back on Liam, pulled closer to him. The rest of the group saw it and just assumed y/n was adjusting how she was sat.
If she wasn't terrified before, she was now. Liam had his left arm round her back, his hand with a rough grip onto her hip whilst his right hand had a similar hold on her thigh.
It was the early hours of the morning by the time Liam and the rest of Oasis where leaving and therefore it was the early hours of the morning by the time y/n was.
In all honesty, she passed out asleep a while ago, leant of Liam for comfort with his coat over her. He'd woke her up a few minutes before they left so she could face the force of the paparazzi with him.
"Y/n ? Angel ?"
She felt kissed being pressed against her forehead and a light voice, before a loud, intoxicated and rude shout appeared with it.
"Just carry 'er Li."
"Piss off Noel, she can walk and likes to do stuff herself."
Her eyes fluttered open after Liam's voice, eyes blinking a few times to get used to the light before her head tilted, still pressed against Liam's chest, to look at the moodswing-y man.
"Com'on Angels, let's get home yeah."
She gave an absent minded hum before she felt Liam picking her up and moving them to the side so she'd have a flat surface to walk on instead of having to go down the few stairs infront of the booth.
When she'd stood up and figured out her balance, feeling thankful she'd chosen to wear to wear trainers instead of heels, y/n ruffled her arms into Liam's coat. He always let her wear it without questions if she wanted to, in public or not.
" 's many cam'r's ?"
She found herself leaning against the toxic man as she walked, a gentle arm wrapped around her waist helping her stay close to him and keep her balance. Liam pressed a kiss against the side of her head, mumbling his words into her skin.
"Not too many."
Y/n gave a hum of understanding before sheilding her eyes with the large, black tinted sunglasses that she'd becone acustom to wearing everywhere. She ran her fingers over the large and dark hickey Liam had put on her last night 'for relationship reputation purposes' one last time before the lads swung the club doors open.
show time.

Eurovision 2023 Review
Albania - Albania's back to what they usually do, but I'm not mad at this. Considering we are lacking ethnic songs this year, we need something I like and I'm digging the electric guitar.
Armenia - After a few listens, I really like this song. Her voice reminds of Zoey Deschanel in the beginning though.
Australia - It's just there
Austria - I want to like this song, but acapella does not appeal to me whatsoever
Azerbaijan - It's to nice see that it's a locally written and produced song and not some manufactured song by Swedes, but it's not a very memorable song. I hope that doesn't discourage more actual Azerbaijani songs in the future.
Belgium - What tf were they smoking when they chose this?! It sounds like something that would play in the background when I used to work at Express.
Croatia - Hot mess
Cyprus - He has a great voice, but it sounds too much like an Imagine Dragons song... Not the first time in recent year they sent a song that sounds like another...
Czech Republic - Fun fact: This is the only country whose NF I keep up with for whatever reason and for the first time, they chose the song that was my top choice! I love it and I actually like the rap part.
Denmark - Sure it's basic, but it's grown on me. It's catchy and I think it's cool that he's from the Faroe Islands
Estonia - One of the better ballads this year and she has a nice voice.
Finland - Ooh this one's an earworm and he's one hell of a performer. I'm also a sucker for some techno and something outside the box.
France - Why did they select someone that's not French? Anyway I think it's. nice, but it's missing something to feel like a complete song.
Georgia - They didn't play around this time. They have a former ESC Junior singer and she delivered even if the song song isn't about anything.
Germany - The actual authentic German song we needed that won't end up in the bottom 5. The song title, "Blood and Glitter” feels gimmicky and made for ESC though.
Greece - After years of a tacofest, we got a male singer for once! The song is a let down though. It's pretty basic and I don't like cursive singing.
Iceland - She's got a great voice, but this is giving Christian pop
Ireland - It's just there as always
Israel - Really try hard and feels like a 4 different songs. I like the beginning of the song, but it gets annoying towards the end.
Italy - It's pretty and classy, but it pretty much sounds like your typical Italian ballad. Marco is cute though.
Latvia - Not much to say here, but I appreciate it for what it is and I've realized Latvia usually sends some degree of electronic songs.
Lithuania - It's just there
Malta - Another nation that is lo longer a tacofest. The song is not very competitive, but I like it. it's a fun with a nice saxophone.
Moldova - I usually don't care for their songs, but I love this! I'm a sucker for a great ethnic sound and Moldova accomplish this and takes me to a mysterious and enchanted forest.
The Netherlands - Basic and it sounds too much like a Zedd song.
Norway - I like a good techno beat, but y'all are overhyping this song. It isn't that special and I do not like her voice.
Poland - Oh my christ on a bike, this song does not deserve to be here and Blanka seems like a very unlikable person, yet I'm here liking the song. It's the type of music I would bop too, even if it's trash...
Portugal - I was expecting a nice ballad, but I'm not complaining about this upbeat song. It's been a while Portugal sent something fun.
Romania - Sooo underrated. If you overlook that mess of a national performance, it's a really song and he has a great voice.
San Marino - I keep forgetting about it
Serbia - I've realized it's been a while they sent a male performer, but I can imagine him killing it on stage and the industrial sound will stand out. I love the parts where he throws in some Serbian.
Slovenia - A pleasant surprise. It's one of my favorites! I hope they give Slovenia their highest result yet!
Spain - A pleasant surprise. It feels like I'm at a cultural theatre. I wouldn't be mad if this was in the top 3 (unlike the trash last year).
Sweden - Sure the song is good with a great performance and Loreen is singing her heart out, but I really do not need her here and I certaintainly do not want her to win again.
Switzerland - Another slow song? It's one of the better ballads this year and the piano is so pretty.
Ukraine - So underrated by fans. I love this song.
UK - It's a cute bop. I like it.
Overall, another bland year in a row. i couldn't even write interesting comments, but here we are.

Tumblr media
3:13pm - I like how the intro movies are gonna be filled with poor editing, I love that kinda stuff 3:17pm - Spain's song is pretty much a pretty decent Bubble Guppies song to me, that makes it a good song but nothing special. Sorry for forcing Guppies into the convo. 5/7.
Tumblr media
They got digital fireworks too. Makes the song better.
Tumblr media
3:21pm - Malta's song is... really darn good. Like, really good. I really like this type of ballad music, makes me wanna just bob my head along to it. 7/7.
Tumblr media
3:25pm - Ukraine next, and it's... eh. It's just kinda forgettable pop honestly. The kid has pipes though, very impressive for a nine year old, I just think the song's mediocre.
Tumblr media
Also this weird anime-looking art style is gross. 4/7.
Tumblr media
3:28pm -Ireland time, and it's a much slower song, but it's still pretty good. Didn't even realise there were two singers until the end of the song. 6/7.
Tumblr media
Alrighty, next we got the British. See y'all in a min.
