• The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results for Class 10 and 12 exams for the academic year 2022-23. While the overall pass percentage for Class 12 stood at 87.33%, it was a dip of 5.38% compared to the previous year. A total of 14,50,174 students cleared the exam out of the 16,60,511 who appeared for it.

• Trivandrum has emerged as the best-performing region in CBSE Class 12 examination results, registering a pass percentage of 99.9%, while Prayagraj stood at the bottom with a pass percentage of 78.05%. However, the board has decided not to release a merit list to avoid unhealthy competition among students. Instead, it will issue merit certificates to 0.1% of students who have scored the highest marks in various subjects.

• In Class 10, the passing percentage stood at 93.12%, with a decline of 1.28 percentage points from the previous year. Girls have once again outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 94.25%, while the pass percentage of boys stands at 92.27%.

• The Chain of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas has again emerged as the best-performing schools in both Class 10 and 12, with a pass percentage of 97.51% this year.

• Despite the dip in pass percentage, Delhi students have performed better than the national average with a pass percentage of 92.22% in Class 12.

• The CBSE 12th results 2023 have seen an impressive number of students scoring above 90%, with 1,12,838 students receiving above-90% marks and 22,622 students receiving above-95% marks. Similarly, in Class 10, almost 2 lakh students scored above 90%, while over 44,000 students scored above 95%.

In conclusion, while the overall pass percentage has declined, students across the country have performed exceptionally well, with impressive numbers of students scoring above 90% and 95% in both Class 10 and 12. The board's decision not to release a merit list will help reduce unhealthy competition and encourage students to focus on their individual progress.

• 10 ஆம் வகுப்பில், தேர்ச்சி சதவீதம் 93.12% ஆக இருந்தது, முந்தைய ஆண்டை விட 1.28 சதவீத புள்ளிகள் குறைந்துள்ளது. 94.25% தேர்ச்சியுடன் சிறுவர்களை விட பெண்கள் மீண்டும் சாதனை படைத்துள்ளனர்.
