“Come on, there's no guarantee that you'll be chosen! The goblet doesn't look at those who've done more than others. It's all decided by chance.”
“Yes, but it's chance I don't trust.”
Writing this fic back in 2020 was part of why I came back to this beloved fandom, so you can imagine how happy I was when @gigilberry-wips offered to translate it! They did an amazing job and even improved on the original, so please check it out on AO3 if you want to read it.
We're uploading every Wednesday and Saturday, and chapter 3 has just been posted!

WIP Tag Game
I was tagged by @callous-and-misunderstood to share some WIP snippets with the words tremble, touch, wish, and find. Here's three snippets, from three different WIPs I've been working on. Most are still untitled or are part of a larger fic that will never see the light of day (in the case of Babyfic Coda lmao)
If anyone else wants to play, I'm tagging @lsleofthelost and @itsalwaysforyou (no worries if not!!) with the words whisper, slow, draw, and crew.
This is also exposing my terrible google doc naming conventions so uh bear with me here.
Tremble- from Cinderella She Seems So Easy (aka, how did we get to where we are??)
Grimhilde’s mouth turns down ever so slightly. “And if they do not?” she asks.
Don’t cry don’t cry don’t cry don’t--
“I’ll let them taste my fruit,” Evie says, blinking slowly to hold back the tears that are threatening to smudge her mascara. Her voice is perfectly flat and steady, and her lips do not tremble. “They’ll never betray another, and their bodies will nourish my garden so that there will never be a time when I have to go without my defenses.”
“Wicked girl,” Grimhilde says approvingly. “You may also bring them under your thrall. My mirror will help you understand the necessary ingredients.”
Evie blinks, processing this new piece of information. “Your what, mother?” she asks sweetly. She can’t have heard that one right. The weight of her hair, or her nerves, or something like that, are making her mind play tricks on her.
Her mother sighs. “Weren’t you listening? Honestly, Evie, I don’t know why I expected better of you. I am giving you my magic mirror, so that you may use it in Auradon. Here, take the wretched thing.”
Touch- from LOC fic:
Coach puts his hands up and stops a fair way back. “Hey, kiddo,” he says. Nonthreatening. “Stand down. I’m on your side here.”
“Don’t,” Carlos growls out, as threatening as he can be. “Touch. Him.”
Coach isn’t moving closer, which is good. “I need to make sure he’s gonna be able to get up.”
Wish- from A/B/O of my dreams possible coda:
Ben’s never been able to ask her outright. “I was hoping you could help talk to him,” he asks now, adding shameless begging eyes to his plea. “Please, mom?”
Belle’s face crumples. “I wish I could, but you know how he gets when he’s stuck on an idea. He wants you to have a child, Ben. He needs you to be a strong king,” she shakes a fist, so small and pale compared to his father’s. Compared to Ben’s own. “And that means producing an heir, and a legacy, just like he did with you.”
Time to lie.
Find- from Sad Wedding Breakup Fic:
Evie nods, somewhat frantically. The motion makes her breasts jiggle, which she knows is a good look on her, and it seems like Uma agrees, based on the way she’s watching. “I can,” Evie gasps, trying to find the thought that she wants to follow here. “I just– want this to be nice for you too. Because I wanna be good. For you.”
“Oh, you’ll be good,” Uma agrees, stroking a hand over Evie’s chest, sliding it down, down the soft skin. “I’m not worried about that, princess.”
Evie remembers where her arm is, and loops it up around Uma’s shoulders, pulling her down for another scorching kiss. “I want,” Evie breathes, directly into Uma’s mouth, so close that their noses are squished together in a way that’s not entirely comfortable. “To be better than whatever you remember about her.”
“Princess,” Uma breathes back, the word somehow soft instead of sharp in her mouth this time. “I forgot about her the first time I saw your pretty little tits, mmkay?”
