This is me 5 weeks postpartum and I could not be more proud of myself and all my progress dispite my anorexia constantly trying to pull me back.

Welcome to New York. I’ve been dying to share these polaroids from NYC. They are some polaroids I am really proud of, and it means a lot that some of you requested seeing them @cats-andtaylorswift @muziklysound13 @light-me-up-go-ahead ! I have been meaning to scan these for months now, but you know how life goes. So anyway, sorry I just uploaded the full scan and some photos are not in the same orientation. There were just so many photos that I didn’t want to upload them individually. It may be more mobile friendly than desktop for viewing. I would absolutely LOVE to answer any questions if there are any! Again, thank you for giving me an opportunity to share these. They are special to me. I would love if @taylorswift saw them too.

Normally, I use many different cameras. Just to name a few i often use:

Medium Format: Agfa Clack II, Yashica Mat 124G, Ilford Pinhole, Holga GFCN, Pouva Start

35mm: Canon Ae1 Program, Smena 8m, Nikon F-90x, Olympus Mju II, Exa 1C ...

Pocket film: Agfa mini

Many of my cameras have broken recently, but I am not willing to pay the current prices for used analog cameras.

My new baby ♥ I've wanted a polaroid for years, my Polaroid 600 Land Camera was a dud so I decided to get myself an instax mini 90 Neo Classic. This will take practice but I am excited.

I guess this is my first collage. I honestly don’t have the patience to crop photos but I got inspired by Sofia‘s collages and decided to do one. Hmm, how does it look? Some elements here I got from the creative market. And yea, that’s my ugly handwriting and my kid-like-work logo. Haha!

How I Get Started With Instant Camera

I’ve always wanted an instant camera ever since I was a kid. I had this classmate who had one when I was in grade 5, and that made me tell myself that I would own one soon. However, it did not happen as soon as I had hoped. My parents just wouldn't buy something that expensive simply because I liked it, and that was okay. Growing up, I would say that my siblings and I were well taken care of, but we were not spoiled kids. I completely understood when they said no to something unnecessary or not needed. Yes, they did indulge my luxuries somewhat, but only when I did something good in school or other activities. In this way, I had learned to discipline myself and the value of money. It would certainly be one of the lessons that I'm going to teach my children in the future.

Almost ten years later, on the 26th of April 2014, to be exact, I finally got to own one using the money I earned from my internship. It was such a fulfillment—getting something I had worked hard for. I had just finished college then and was about to enter the real world, so it was pretty much a job-well-done gift for myself. I got a blue Fujifilm Instax Mini 8, and oh, I was so ecstatic when I first used it. The films were still hella expensive, so I always thought twice before I pressed the shutter button, but we all make mistakes. Not every shot is perfect. I have wasted tons of films already—underexposed, overexposed, blurry ones. Oh well.

I always brought my instant camera with me to every important moment, event, and travel, but I stopped using it in the years 2018 - 2019 because I got into 35mm analog photography. I couldn’t use both film formats because that would just burn a hole in my pocket. However, I had always been eyeing upgraded models of Instax cameras. I was torn between Square SQ6 and the Mini 90. I really liked the latter because the SQ6 didn't have a room for a proper grip, the shutter button was in an awkward place, the viewfinder was on the right side, and it used non-rechargeable batteries. I also didn’t like Fuji's latest hybrid SQ10 because it loses the charm of it being an “instant” camera. Anyway, last year, Asis gave me a Christmas present, and it was none other than a Mini 90 Black Neo Classic. Another addition to my growing film cameras. So yeah. I also wanted to share the album I bought on Shopee for my films. Well, it was just a binder, and I bought sheets of 9-pocket-page-sleeves. The quality of the products was great, but the films actually slid when you put them in the pocket sleeves, so I had to tape each one. I'm still satisfied and happy with it though.

That's it. Contemplating buying one? Go ahead! The novelty really hasn’t worn off. If you already own one, go and take risks! Experiment and have fun. Take the best shots possible!
