Plant of the Day
Monday 29 August 2022
In this garden the annual climber Tropaeolum majus (nasturtium, Indian-cress) is making a show in late summer as it scrambles up this stone wall. The circular leaves are supported by a central leaf stalk and the flowers come in shades of red, yellow and orange. The foliage and flowers are edible with a distinct peppery flavor similar to radishes.
