I stg im just hurting my own feelings here. So I Headcanon Cerys, Marcia and Milo like the marauders of this universe. They were super close, created a healthy amount of chaos and were infamous for their antics. Well imagine, when Milo chose Cerys, it hurt Marcia a lot and nothing really happened but they drifted a little. Not in a massively or dramatically but Cerys became queen and fell pregnant in quick succession, Milo finally got his merchant ship and Marcia was entering the last year of her apprenticeship. They still loved each other dearly but they were growing up now, it was time to stop acting like children (which many old men in positions of power had been telling them for years). Then that night happens, Marcia watches her father figure and her best friend die violently in front of her. Once she’s made sure Jenna was safe (because Cerys would have come back from the dead just to punish her had she not), she went to find Milo and tell him about Jenna but he barely let her speak. She begged him to stay, she pleaded and cried, but he left anyway. She hated him for pretending the only thing that ever linked them was the dead girl they both loved. In one night she lost almost every person she’d ever cared about. She can’t stop thinking that if she’d been quicker, she could have thrown a SafeShield around Cerys, that she could have pushed Alther out the way, that if she’d stopped spiralling in her own head for one goddamn second Milo would have stayed. For the next 12 years Marcia was Remus. She mourned the happiness she had and berated herself for making the spark that burned it to the ground.
