Day 6!
A/N: This is unlike anything I've ever written, I'm also going to add a dead dove tag here, this involves sentient plantlife, and also could be seen as very dubcon or even venture into noncon. There is no active penetration but there is references to it, and there is sex pollen involved, please continue at your own risk. This is also heavily inspired by @beskarberry with her amazing din fic and @absurdthirst for getting me into sex pollen in the first place, and creating this amazingly challenging kinktober lineup!
C.W: Dubcon/noncon, live plants as bondage, sex pollen, firearms, reader fall unconscious and wakes up missing clothes, theres a (poorly written) undertone of horror here, mentions of succubus, some religious references, this man is half demon, keep that in mind.
Working with the B.P.R.D. had its moments, you’ve witnessed exorcisms, dealt with baba yaga on more than one occasion, and now you were dating your closest friend.
Red had sent you down into the historical gardens, in search of a medicinal plant that would help banish the succubus living in a White House bathtub. You were strumming your finger over a flower covered in thin purple dust when your phone starts meowing at you.
“Any luck? Myers is getting his dick sucked in there.” The deep timbre of his voice doesn’t portray a hint of worry, but on the inhale you take he lets out a soft chuckle, “Not literally, but we’re having no luck here.”
Your lips pull into a small laugh, “Nothing I’ve found, Abe is already sending me after something else, but just keep the sage burning for a little while longer.”
“That’s not gonna work, I’ll just have to come to help you.” He sighs into the phone through a smile. He was hard to shake, and since the two of you have confessed your feelings for each other, albeit when you both thought the world was going to end, it's been difficult to spend seconds apart.
“Alright big boy, see you down here.” You smile into the phone. Gods, if the professor was still around you’d both be in for it.
You wonder further into the gardens before coming to a roped-off mausoleum littered with overgrown ivy, and near-rotted caution tape. This has to be the right place, caution tape was typically a beacon in your line of work.
You light a flashlight, only to see a trail of steps leading into a dark abyss, great. You let out an exasperated breath, and let your tired feet carry you down until the light from the garden dissipates.
A few minutes of slow exploration leads you to a giant vine about the width of your arm, it has gatherings of a bright orange flower pearling off of smaller vines like a chain of bells. You bend over, lowering the flashlight to get a better look at the bulbs.
You lift a bundle of delicate petals closer to your face, the bead-shaped flowers have an iridescent quality to them, embracing the first light it has likely seen in ages. A rock a few steps down the hallway startles you as it skids across the hallway and stops with a sharp clack.
Your head on a swivel you bend down to reach for the flashlight in panic, you feel pressure just underneath your ass, and you take a deep breath relieved, “Red, you scared me.”
The silence, and then the tightening around your leg lulls you back into a panic, and you yell a plea a little louder, praying this is some type of sick joke, “Please? You’re scaring me.” A few agonizing beats of your heart, nothing except a loud rustling sound near your other foot.
“Fucking hell.” The two tendrils furl around your legs with astounding strength, as they begin pulling you closer to their source. You strain against the pull of the vines, digging your heels into the cement until you feel your bones grind together.
You scream and scream for the man who had said he was coming to help you, hoping by the small chance he's somewhere close. To your horror, another piece of the plant nudges into your back and the second you lurch away it tightens around your abdomen and pulls you against the stock of the plant with a wet crunch.
A sickeningly sweet yet bitter smell fills your lungs, like over-sweetened coffee. Immediately your skin feels hot, and sweat beads on your brow and you feel the thick tendrils of it snake further up your body, expertly securing you to itself. Offshoots of the plant, a hair thinner than your finger trails up your face and edges itself into your mouth. A rush of the bitter liquid has you blackening out the second it hits your tongue.
You awake to the sound of gunfire, and flashes of an all too familiar muzzle blind you as you attempt to rouse yourself completely. Your man raises the Good Samaritan after a slight pause and a bullet zips past your head and sinks into the stalk with a sizzle.
There's a coolness running down your back, but at first, you are scared it could be blood. Then you realize your shirt is missing, and your pants are being worked down your legs by hair-like fibers.
A piece of your brain screams and thrashes against the bonds, but your muscles are lax, and there's an ebbing pain in between your legs.
With another flash of the muzzle, a chunk of the plant above your head falls free, dripping a wet glob of gelatinous sludge onto your face. Instantly your body is on the precipice of erupting into flames.
You turn into a moaning mess and the commotion stops, two flashlights are shown onto the mangled mess that is your captor.
When his eyes scan over you, it takes everything in him not to smite this place to the ground. The skin of your torso is flushed and bare, the swells of your breast being smothered against your body by the tight grip of this hellish vegetation. Your pants are around your ankles, and he watched with bated breath as these thin fibers toy with the white cotton of your underwear, working the fabric down your hips seductively slow.
He feels like his brain is being rearranged to accommodate nothing but feral and impure thoughts. His fear is replaced with something carnal, and the beautiful sight of his woman strung open and covered in something so potent to make his cock jump out of anticipation? That’s a hard moment to pass on for even a man from hell.

theres no real rules here its very as they come so far I've just been taking cookies and evolving them like pokemon. there's some monsters, some creepypasta type shit, some corruption arcs and some rewrites you get it. anyway tw use of tumblr formatting features(<- /joke)
Cotton
the og girlie it all started with her!! i spoke about my vampire au before somewhere but its not looking like that fic is coming out any time soon so here's a rundown:
when frost queen offers sherbet a second chance at life, cotton accepts it on his behalf.
and frost queen turns him into a vampire.

so he's not the same as he was, both physically (his frostbite doesn't go away because no bloodflow, so his hands and feet are black and his joints are busted and he can't talk well) and mentally (he's...undead he's like. not . ,. human. he's kind of a shell honestly)
he attacks cotton as she's carrying him home
frost queen couldn't send them home because she was immediately disgusted at what she had done vis a vis the flow of nature
he attacks cotton as she's carrying him home, and she decides to hide him in his own home
she convinces the rest of the village sherbet's dead and to leave the house alone as a kind of memorial.
no one lives there anyway
shes not manipulative at all!! it just kind of...happens
plus she has to keep everyone safe, not only from sherbet, but from her! as it turns out, letting a vampire feed off you wrongly turns you into a vampire!
funny how that works out
so she turns into a vampire about a year into this when sherbet gets sloppy (you cant blame him he's basically a zombie at this point)
and she starts to feed off of sheep, and when people realise, she starts to feed off them too!!!
and then in one timeline there's a witch hunt that results in her and sherbet being burnt to death along with the house, and in another she succeeds in turning the whole village into vampires looking for unsuspecting travellers to consume! yahoo :)
Cream Unicorn
i mean they're kind of a cryptid on their own i didn't do much. idk if they're an actual wooden unicorn or not i guess so
the reason they can switch between forms is because they're a mascot!!
once upon a time, you could go to the theme park, buy lightsticks and headbands à la The Mouse, eat candyfloss in their palette, and most notably ride the cream unicorn on the carousel!!
as for their human form...... you ever heard of equestria girls?

and then she learnt dragons are generally menaces to cookiekind and her parent was probably an exception
she has a tail and horns? although i don't know if i prefer the idea they're just jougwan (thank you fandom wiki) or disguised as such.
she has very very good perception and battle instincts as well, which aren't technically Dragon Traits but they sure as hell help.

Roughly, how long have I been following this blog? Well I found that piece shortly after it was posted so…. Around the beginning of December 2019 I think. Got a tumblr a few months later and you were the first person I followed (had you in my bookmarks bar before that! (still have you in my bookmarks bar and when I share my screen in classes there are occasionally questions. I ignore them))
What’s something I’ve noticed about you personality wise? You’re really clever and funny. But you’re also sweet. But because you’re clever you have no hesitation in setting up and enforcing your boundaries, and I really admire that strength and confidence.
Have we ever interacted, either by PM, ask, or in the comments? What was my perception of you? YES!!! PM, SOOOOO many asks, comments, and you sent me an ask. And reblogged it. And I cried. A lot. My perception: you’re lovely and I want to h*ld your h*nd ….please.
What’s my favorite story of yours? Oh how to choose. Firstly, I’m a nb, biracial, bisexual. Honey, I’ve never made a choice in my life. But let’s try here. Anything you’ve written for Tsukki. Literally all of it is gold. Fight me. I was going to write “especially [piece title]” but I LITERALLY CANNOT CHOOSE ONE. Your Bokuto nightmare piece. Your Kuroo angsty fight. Your Tendou dealing with S/O with parents who yell piece. Your Kinktobers. Your Futakuchi and Mattsun pieces. And your Terushima pieces. Ugh. I CANNOT CHOOSE. OH AND YOUR STREAMER KENMA!!!!!! What’s a story I’d love to see you write? I don’t want to say this… because it hurts me… but I just KNOW you’d write brilliant angst. Some of my fav pieces of yours are pained beginnings with happy endings. That fight with Tsukki after a bad day at work. The pieces I mentioned above (nightmare pieces and fighting pieces and angsty home life ha.. ha.ha.ha.). That Oikawa one where the reader wakes up in bed without him and thinks he left. You write these gorgeous atmospheres and descriptive, visceral feelings, and if you chose to use it for evil…. You could get evil shit done. You’re SO powerful. So I want to read it… but also…. I don’t. I’d love to see you write ABO like you mentioned a while back or just see you explore a cutesy soulmate AU or something. I think you’d be really good at writing an AU where you hear what the other person’s listening too. I feel like you’d be so good at making me feel something for someone who was in another city. (think this would be cute with Tsukki cos he’s headphones boy, OR terushima because I like the dynamic of someone flirty, who clearly cares about looks, falling for someone he can’t see) ANYWAY….
Favorite pairing you write for?/fav reader insert? Tsukishima x reader. It’s my fav self-ship. (but also Mattsun, Bokuto, Oikawa, Tanaka, and Akaashi because you write them SO WELL!!!!)
Have any of your stories helped me through a hard time? Of course. Your self-harm piece came at a time I needed it. Iwaizumi’s in particular saved my life. But also your Tendou dealing with S/O parents who fight… came right when I needed it. Also starting college… was hard.. And reading and rereading your fluff really pulled me through it.
Have any of your stories hit closer to home? YES (see above).
Do I genuinely like your blog, it’s aesthetic or posts? It’s overall feel? It’s content? Yes. The aesthetic is, ngl, a wee bit basic. But I kinda love that. And the feel? It feels like home. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Your blog is my safe space. So, yes, I love. It’s content? YES. OF COURSE. Your personality probably could have kept me here even if your content was kinda shit, but I follow you RELIGIOUSLY because of your content. So yes. I adore.
Is English my first language? Kinda??? I grew up in a trilingual household so I kinda learned three languages at the same time while growing up. But no, I don’t need to translate it in my head. Because English was one of the three.
Anything I want to share? Yes. Please keep being kind to yourself, caring for your mental health, enforcing your boundaries, loving Akaashi, and just generally being you. You’re so lovely as you are, and I hope you continue grow, but never change. Also I’m sorry about all your work stuff…. It literally makes me feel sick. Zay & Charlie
When I started shipping it if I did: oh if i were a viewer, i think i’d be sniffing out this storyline EARLY. literally from the moment charlie leaps up to volunteer to tutor him in 103 and then is all “you’re so unapologetically yourself” with all that Awe i’d be like... mhm. okay. mhm ok mhm mhm mhm right mhm....... although i think i would be skeptical. i would be kinda like (as i think some of you were) are they actually going to go through with this...... are they playing me 4 a fool.... but then when you watch 112 after so much build and theres the RUNNING ACROSS THE CITY TO GET TO THE AUDITION AND AINT NOOOO AWWWYWYWYWYWYAAYWAAYYYYY AND THE LOUVRE KISS LIKE WAHAHAHWAHWAHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHH -- yeah i’d be in it from there. you don’t see it coming going INTO the first season, but to be honest zc kind of Owned the first season in the later half there. they were subtle in some ways but then they really just brought the mf PUNCH
My thoughts: so. clearly. i love them. fdkjshgkjsg i think i have a lot of fondness for them because they really organically blossomed in the first season in a way i wasn’t expecting. as y’all know, we broke the story for the second season first and then backtracked to s1, and i will be candid... charlie was like... not a person when we first outlined s2 JFGDSKLGKDFGKLFDH. he was in a relationship with zay, and it was supposed to be this big surprise going into the second season, but otherwise we really didn’t like... know what to do with him or honestly had THOUGHT about it. but then as we started working on s1, he just kind of... emerged, as well as their storyline of barely acquaintances to friends to unexpected lovers. and i really really love what they grew to be. they’ve been one of the best parts of writing the show tbh and i have so much fun writing their scenes, even when they’re challenging (cough 208 cough, one of the most difficult scenes i’ve ever written in anything ever)
What makes me happy about them: i love how they see the other person for who they actually are, how they can cut through the bullshit and see the other for how they wish they could be seen (charlie seeing zay as more than the popular “cool” kid that he has to put on as a sort of defense to survive at aaa, and zay seeing charlie for who he actually is beneath all of the facades he’s created to please the rest of the world) and how that allows them the courage to try and actually BE those things. like. charlie may not have ever gotten to a point of really considering accepting his own sexuality if it weren’t for zay, i think -- especially since zay then gave him this incredibly SAFE space to figure it out AND loved him at the same time. i love how they demonstrate such a Balance for one another (there’s that key word again!), like how in s1 a core part of their friendship is the fact that charlie seems to be the only person zay really has who cares about all the things he cares about but also isn’t... a crazy monster the way everyone at aaa is fDJSKFLDG. and zay brings balance to charlie in showing him its okay to have fun, to be imperfect, to throw a swear word around or not give a damn sometimes or do things just because he wants to. and that’s important! that’s major! and then i just love love love how they’re playful with one another but it comes from this very sincere fond place. their dynamic would not be what it is without their sort of teasing nature, but it NEVER feels like it’s coming from a place of animosity, it’s always this affectionate kind of banter. i’m really picky about how teasing translates into romance, and i think the way they make it work is a fave thing about them for me. i’m forgetting like 4324325 things i wanna say here but i love them MUCHO
What makes me sad about them: so. hm. yeah. you know how there are those otp ask games or gif memes and there’s always that category that’s like “it’s right, just not right now” ships? i have always disliked that category bc i think people constantly misinterpret it (or its just a poor label to apply to a ship lmao), but i think they are actually a perfect example of what i think that label is supposed to represent. charlie and zay are 100% right, but not right now. they can’t be right when charlie is still trying to figure out so much of his sexuality and his sense of acceptance, because no matter how much they love each other it’s just not fair to zay to have all these conditions on their relationship. like, it’s great that he likes him enough to be okay with it, but it shouldn’t be that way in a truly healthy situation. yknow? and when the rules keep changing or grow to be confusing (i.e. how charlie seemed to be improving in 207 but then backslid majorly in 208), you end up with like... well, miscommunications like 208. and those can be brutal.
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: again, i’m just projecting based on my experience in fandom and observing fandom, but here are a handful of things i think would be common in zc fic that would drive me up the wall. 1) babying and/or pandering charlie to the point that he’s just like... this uwu baby gay that completely strips him of his complexity, surprisingly sharp sarcasm, all his uneven edges and quirks, etc. 2) fetishizing of them both or more specifically, racism surrounding the portrayal of zay 3) a complete bashing of charlie’s faith, as that goes against how he’s written + his arc as a character [ like if you gotta work thru ur own grievances with organized religion then by all means, but it would probably bother me bc of his characterization and im literally not even religious lmao ] 4) banter that crosses the line and goes into that territory of lowkey bullying or tasteless that is a squick for me
Things I look for in fanfic: so of course, characterization that allows for the complexity of both of their characters would be A1 from day one as usual. would always love something that highlights the dance thing since that is... so important to their relationship in the show lmao. people who could capture their delicate balance of banter would be whew!!!! also random but i thought about it earlier today -- when winter olympics rolls around again, who is gonna write the ice skating au? it’s only a step or two away from dance y’all, let’s SEE IT!!!

honestly, how have i not written pretend relationship yet? that’s right in my wheelhouse with the whole pining bullshit.
there really isn’t enough pining taakitz, because even subconsciously taako has learned from lup’s inability to just fucking do the thing and immediately asked the boy out, but let’s explore this for a second.
the twins have actually managed to get into a fancy, expensive and good college all on their own merit and work, and as soon as they start Becoming Somebody what remains of their shitty old family starts coming out of the woodwork. Inviting them back for christmas, thanksgiving, sending cards about how long it’s been since they’ve been around, you should visit sometimes, the whole nine yards. Eventually they decide yeah they’re gonna go back, and they’re gonna do everything in their power while they’re there to raise hell and spite them.
Lup’s bringing barry, because nothing’s better than bringing back a respectable looking, normal ass dude and then having said dude turn around and he’s holding some dead bird he found in the road in his bare hands and showing everyone how the bones connect and what have you. Taako needs something like that too. He can’t bring magnus though, he’s too genuinely likable. Merle or Davenport would be fucking hilarious, playing up some sugar daddy angle, but he’d probably give it away after five minutes from the constant gagging he’d be doing.
okay, so how about that hot dude he talks to sometimes in his drama class, the one who does the really bad accents when he’s nervous and broke merle’s arm with a rock once. that could be pretty good.
so he asks kravitz if hey dude, you doing anything over winter break? What was your inspiration for this blog? hoo boy well,,, ultimately i thought of them rooming together and got emotional and made a huge list of headcanons and was like ,,, why not run an askblog for a bit ill just abandon it after three asks lets have some fun. but somehow im still here and i got sucked in by the complexity of michael and jeremy. i know that sounds kinda silly but just, as someone who is dealing with a lot of similar things, like dependency issues and abandonment issues and depression and anxiety, having these fun functioning character to explore was such a gift for me. i believe honestly thats why im still here and doing this. being able to try and portray a healthy relationship and a healthy way of coping and growing has helped me a lot this past month and given me an outlet i didnt have before. TBH THO the main reason i made this blog if imma be real with u guys id because i didnt like the treatment of a lot of these issues in the fandom. it made me very upset to see depression used as an plot device and michaels dependency issues treated as romantic so i wanted to make a blog that had little to no angst. ANYWAYS somehow im still here ,,, gvrkjvrnkjfd sorry i rambled

i know this has been said before but i'm really really happy w how you're handling so many aspects of their characters. i.e. michael being trans, michael and jeremy's anxiety, michael's dependency issues, and other stuff i'm too tired to think of. you made the characters have even more depth than they did in the play and i'm rly grateful for the way you're dealing w my favorite boys. (also your richjake is suuuper adorable) ahhhhhh thank u so much? i talked a bit about this on my main but im really glad people are happy with my decision on this blog because im suPER SUPER NERvous anytime i post an ask dealing with these things. (ask hachi or nate i always message them like freaking out and send them my scripts and asks and wait for them to tell me its ok before i post it omg) also like i talked about before i love,,, having these fun stoner gamer boys to explore these issues with. im honestly shocked by how many people also deal with dependency issues because when i first listened to the musical i was so overwhlemed by the song michael int he bathroom because i had never heard someone basically write “dependency issue: the song” and it felt so so so good to realize i wasnt alone in this pit of despair i fall into so easily aha. but im!! glad everyone is ok with this wild ride im on right now (also thank u so much i struggle writing rich and jake but i get so emotional cause they would TOTES call each other babe)
how come you just use sketch form for most of your drawing (sketches and uses sketch for the final result)? im ,,, not really sure what this is asking but i thnk its along the lines of why do i only sketch my answers?? and i do that because dude do u see how often i post and how lONG some of them are. i made this blog for fun and i love doing comics but i hate lineart and coloring and if i tried to churn out finished pics for every post id defs have given up a few asks in,, shrugs

Ok have a nice day! thank you! i love my little comics too! it usually takes me anywhere from an hour to five hours if im dragging my ass or talking on discord while im drawing. it can be kinda exhausting but since i took my break ive also been like, starting long comics one day and finishing them another day which, before i would do it all in one sitting then post it hahha. AS FOR EXPERIENCE the first half of the lifeguard comic was based on real life! we were stuck stoned up there for like an hour or two? but we didnt have anyone to help us but we got down eventually!! the wendys comic is also something i did because man!! i need to compliment food workers if they do a good job!! ummmmm just like jenna i also have a friend that said HAHA BYE and moved to cali and she is also lIVING IT UP and doing really well for herself and shes very independent and shes very inspiring to me! hmm i think thats it besides i used to have movie nights with my dad all the time too except we would watch my fave animated movies and sometimes lord of the rings cause my dad loved that

this isn't really related to the faq but that bakunawa boy reference was great I LOVE THAT FIC MAN!!! the line was originally a little diff in that ask but i changed it cause ,,,, i could,,,,
an art style question. how do you keep the design of characters consistent from frame to frame? my characters they look a lil different every time I draw em (or a lot different) and it tends to disrupt the flow of my comics/animations ohh boy hoo wee props for doing animations im too scared to give that a whirl but!! it helps that i draw all the panels for an ask on one canvas! so if my next panel is going to be the same character in the same spot just in a diff pose i keep the lower layer on just at low opacity so i can use it as a ref! that helps me a lot!

Any advice for running an ask blog?? (Ps i love this blog keep it up) personally whats worked for me so far is doing just sketches for art. honestly ive been able to work so much more and post so much more often while also trying to work on my expressions and poses! also taking my own experiences and shaping them to fit the characters has been SO MUCH FUN. th most important thing tho is,,, dont overwork urself dude. if ur having a fun time it shows. if ur just forcing urself to churn out material and its not fun? like shit we doing this for free dont push urself? idk idk overall being looser with my art and writing the dialogue before hand has been the most helpful for me for this askblog! ive run a bunch before including @ask-maz and ive run that sporadically for ,, three or four years? its so funny cause u can see my art style juMP AROUND SO MUCH but i love that blog and i only update it like every other month or so but?? i still like doing it and no on likes those posts but it makes me smile so ANYWAYS
