Well that was an awful long monologue, and told us absolutely nothing apart from the fact that Ann has some major, major complexes when it comes to Makoto and her newfound success in Morioko with Ch'en, Swire and Sae. So let me try my hand on how she deals with being irrationally jealous: SHE DOESN'T. Put plainly, Ann is not in touch anywhere near enough with her true emotions to realize what she's doing and how she's reacting. Before now everyone who was her friend were total LOSERS like her, and all the extraneous attention would be ON HER as the blonde, well-endowed, foreign teenager. She'd never known jeaousy until she fell quietly and unwittingly in love with Makoto Niijima. Now Makoto's gone and Ann never told her how she felt, and Ann's dealt with this by... Surrounding herself with SHALLOW ALLEGIANCES, and making a PARTY of her life in Tokyo. But in her heart of hearts, could she say she truly knew or cared about any of her new friends on the same level as Makoto? Or even Shiho? Even the REST OF THE PHANTOM THIEVES? No. No she couldn't.
