SO hard. not to be all 'bUt I kNoW mUSiC bEttEr tHaN yOu' and I do genuinely hate elitist music culture#it's just that people do NOT understand what good singing is or the FUNCTION OF SINGING IN THE FIRST PLACE#someone please yell at me if I start trying to seriously say my word is god but I DO think that my opinion from the standpoint of someone#who made this their whole life (literally. in a job context) and has two music degrees like. means something. at least a little bit.#anyway I hate 2012 lesmis and I hate 2004 p.o.t.o hope this helps#also cats (the musical) is not some abomination and affront toward god it's not that deep#the cats movie wasn't bad because cats the musical is bad. it was a bad adaptation of cats.#I'm also willing to go to bat for deh (the musical-haven't seen the movie and I probably won't)#also mrouge musical > movie I hate the movie actually. at least in the musical the people can sing#if I never hear the fucking movie version of roxanne again it will be too soon
