rolling on the floor and weeping bc i do not have the time in the day to sit down and work on art that takes concerted effort and thought (especially not now i have very recently learned i have until friday to get most of my stuff out of this house) i am playing a neverending game of "am i going to be able to pull this off or am i going to have to weigh up whether it'd be ruder to make commissions as artfight attacks or wait til august"

I will forever be mad about Matt and Mello dying.

Also just imagine how awesome it would have been if, when Light opens the door of the warehouse and wants to escape from the warehouse, Mello and Matt are standing there, outside of the warehouse and get shown/revealed the moment Light opens the door, aiming their guns at him, Mello wearing his leather coat with feathers as well as his sunglasses and taking a bite of his chocolate bar while Matt is calmly smoking a cigarette while also aiming at Light with his gun and then you hear Near in the background telling Light that it's over.

#I can picture this so vividly for some reason #in the death note art style which was used in the anime and with their english voices and all #Unpopular opinion but Scene and emo music from the early 2000s suits to Mello and writing Death Note related stuff works best with this #music too #someone take the scene/emo playlists away from me #I just rediscovered those songs #They make me so happy #I've listened to them during my early teenage years #I spend a fair amount of my early teenage years with emos and weebs so that probably explains it #It was a super dark time of my life and I wouldn't ever want to go back but the songs and the scene/emo aesthetic gives me so much comfort #Death Note and Bsd will forever have a special and warm place in my heart #Matt and Mello then sleep at Nears place that day; comforting him and each other because what they went through was hell and what Near #witnessed in that warehouse was awful. To strangers he might seem as cold as always but Matt and Mello know how shaken up the other is #They realized it once they saw that Near was dissocating heavily; staring holes in the air and being semi verbal for the rest of the evenin #They spend the evening eating pizza; eating chocolate and Near plays with his toys; stims and actually seeks pressure hugs from one of them #Can be seen as Matt/Mello with Near as their friend or as Matt/Mello/Near #They don't chat a lot about what happened until literal days or weeks later #Might write a single post about it but idk if I want to upload any other drabbles and headcanons besides BSD ones on here #not bsd related #death note #death note mello #death note near #death note light #death note light yagami #death note matt #death note hc #death note headcanons #death note anime #death note manga #headcanon

#um.txt #i call and say hey my certificate is going to be coming late is this a problem and they say no its fine just send your diploma supplement #so i say ok. then they say well thats fine for a transcript but where's your certificate and i say. well it's delayed.#and they say ok can u get this letter from ur uni. and i say that's nearly impossible bc they dont do those but ok.#then i send the letter and they say no we dont accept those. where's your certificate.#and i say its delayed. you told me to send this. so they say ok. can you get your diploma supplement stamped and signed.#so i say ok. and i do that. then i upload it to the site. and three days of waiting for them to process it later they say thanks #for uploading your transcript! where is your certificate?#LIKE THE DEADLINE IS IN 2 WEEKS IM GOING TO KILL SOMEONE FOR REAL.#call them up. 11:30. hi our phones are closed now youre calling out of hours. they're open 10am - 12pm.#ive already possibly missed getting guaranteed accommodation because of this and if it keeps going i wont get in #AND i probably wont get my fucking deposit back.

sometimes I look at how quickly people are able to write and update their fics and I’m like how????? and then I remember that 1) I’m neurodivergent, 2) I’m not constantly at my computer, and 3) not everybody likes to proofread their fics like I do LOL

#not a drag just an observation #like earlier this year when I was writing the og MLWTBB #I was sick and at my computer all day for several weeks #and I would upload chapters without having someone else proofread them #so I churned out that entire story within like a MONTH #normal life doesn't allow that kinda time #and having Ham proofread everything takes longer too #cause I don't hound her to read my stuff; she reads it on her own time #but it's worth it cause man was my first story a mess hahaha #I'm so glad I was able to fix it later #so yeah it's great that some people are able to write that much that quickly #I could do so myself #and have done so before #but things are different for me now and that's ok #the fact that I continue to write at all is what matters #I'm writing more now than I have ever in my entire life #MLWTBB is longer than all my other writings COMBINED #and I have a LOT more stories to go #\o/#MLWTBB chatter

I just spent some time scrolling through this blog and am suffering from sever laughter. Thanks so much for collating the countries craziest moments. One of my favourites is when Scott Morrison was in Hawaii while the bushfires where burning.

December 2019: As Australia's east coast is engulfed in the worst bushfires in living memory, rumours begin to circulate that Australia's Prime Minister Scott Morrison may have secretly fucked off for a holiday in Hawaii.

Keep in mind, this is what is going down in Australia at the time:

The Hawaii rumour is initially written off as a fringe conspiracy, because surely nobody could be that fuckin tonedeaf, and it was quickly forgotten about... until an Australian man visiting Hawaii UPLOADED A SELFIE ON THE BEACH WITH THE PM THROWING A SHAKA.

At which point all hell broke loose.

Overnight the formerly popular "Scomo" became the most despised man in all of Australia. Think "firefighters shouting out of their windows to news cameras" level of despised.

After about two days of radio silence and pretending like he was still at home running the country, the Prime Minister's handlers finally dragged him onto call with an Australian radio station, where he pinky promised to return to Australia as fast as he could in an attempt to calm things down.

Unfortunately Scott's empathy consultant (a real job) then had to watch Scott pour more gasoline on the dumpster fire by uttering the now famous phrase "Look I don't hold a hose mate" when asked by the radio interviewer why the fucking fuck the fuckhead wasn't fucking in Australia doing his fucking job during a massive fucking crisis.

Testing just how much worse things could get, Scomo then proceeded to NOT rush back to Australia as promised, instead attempting to complete the rest of his holiday, a fact that was exposed when a passerby snapped a picture of him still lounging on the beach two days later.

Eventually, holiday complete, Morrison did reluctantly slink back to Australia, and in an attempt to calm things down, he decided to pay a visit to a small town that had been destroyed by the fires.

Which was a big mistake.

Scomo still had not registered how absolutely and totally he had screwed the poodle with his Hawaiian beach vacation, and he walks into what is now taught in PR classes as one of the greatest examples of "what not do do in a crisis" in all of history.

Scotty from Marketing, as he is now dubbed by the nation, spends a painfully cringe-inducing hour wandering around a burned down town with TV news cameras in tow, having to FORCE PEOPLE TO SHAKE HIS HAND in what is some of the most awkward footage you will ever see.

At this point it's probably also worth mentioning that, before becoming Prime Minister, Scott Morrison's biggest claim to fame in politics was being the guy that was so far up the coal lobby's arse that he literally brought coal into parliament and waved it around, claiming it doesn't hurt people.

So when a protest was organised it turned out to be one big national fuck you to the Prime Minister, the likes of which the world has never seen before or since.

Needless to say, at this point Scomo's career was dead in the water, but thanks to the rules brought in to stop Australian political parties from knifing their leader every two weeks (a popular Aussie passtime) Morrison basically couldn't get fired until after the next election.

And so, when the election rolled around in 2022, we decided that was an opportune time to travel over to Hawaii to erect this bad boy tribute to the Prime Minister, on the very beach where Scomo had sat and drank margaritas that one fateful week in December as Australia burned (thanks to @chaser for funding the ticket)

#auwghhgh ahhh #there's that seminar that i have every second thursday right and we have to send questions about some readings #and i didnt. do that. didn't read. sent no questions #i think it'd be pointless tomorrow but also i'm not going like i am at home and skipping this week #i didn't send questions two weeks ago either. i wonder if the prof will notice or care or consider this when grading #i think the two essays we have to write will make up most of the grade. i don't know. i suck at this whole thing #the other thing is a little essay that i'll upload a day later i guess :///

#text #my mind refuses to do this take-home exam…#mostly because it feels like we’re just regurgitating the info back to our professor #and not actually interacting w/ the content….this class has just been like. infodumping of a lot of content lmao #but I think I just need to force myself to type everything out and word-vomit at least and finetune it later…#so much going on/due next week…Monday night I’ll be meeting my voice clients #& since they’re both new to the clinic I’ll be doing diagnostic testing…it’s gonna be a rlly long day #I do not feel prepared to do voice assessments in the slightest #so I will be using my friends as guinea pigs for practice this entire weekend lmao #voice clinic has been messy so far since it seems like our supervisor is spread thin between working in her own practice then our clinic #and raising her kids…..#I need to remind her to upload the paperwork for one of my clients again…#my other two fellow cohort taking it w/ me plan to also practice w/ each other so hopefully we feel better on actual dx day lol #I’m just praying it goes well for all of us🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼..
